I am attempting to find a formula that will create a continual weekly release date when I create a new topic for a podcast.  For example, if I were to have a release today and I were to open a new row, it would automatically populate a week from now in the date, so on and so forth.

Hello everyone,I am currently working on a database in Airtable where I need to automatically generate a random number from a specific list of numbers for each new entry in my table named "Article". The list of possible numbers is as follows: [1448, 800, 140, 105, 106]. I want each time a new record is created, one of these numbers is randomly selected and inserted into a column named "Nombre".I tried using built-in formulas in Airtable, but they don't seem to work as I wish. I also tried writing a script in Airtable's Scripting app, but I haven't been able to get the desired behavior.I wonder if anyone has encountered a similar issue or if anyone knows how I could achieve this, either with formulas or with a script.

Hello! I would like to set-up an automation using "Run a script" that checks the text in the primary field [Name] for a matching value in a multi-select field [Topic] and then populates the field with the matching value. Would greatly appreciate any help with creating a script and automation that can accomplish this as I am unfamiliar with scripting. Included sample data screenshot for visual. The real dataset has ~ 20 selection options.The process should look something like this:1) Record is created2) Script runs3) Record UpdatedThank you!

What's a good way to copy data from one field to another in the same table?Currently, I have data in Field A that I want to copy to Field B because I want to deactivate Field A (probably hide it.) Then, going forward current processes where data was entered via a form to Field A would instead be entered into Field B.So, this is a one-time need but there may be other changes in the data structure where having an automation in place that performs this task would be handy.If this is an automation, I'm not sure what to use as a trigger.Any ideas are welcome.

Dear Community,I do have a table with a formula field, which tells you how many times a row has to be copied.I did set up an automation which tells you to copy the row, when formula field is bigger than 0.What I can't figure out is how to tell the automation to stop copying once the desired number is reached. Is there a way to achieve this?Thank you.

Hi! I think this is simple, but can't figure it out...I have a base where I have a “Sales“ tab, here I have the date, client, and price sold. This tab has all the sales for the entire month. I can make a new “Daily view“ and filter by date, so now I can see only the current date. I can see totals here...I need to have an automation send me the total sales for the DAY. I can get(find records) the “Daily View“ from the sales tab, but I can only see a list/grid with numbers for each sale... i want to see a TOTAL DAILY SALES.Help! 

Hello All,I have an automation that uses a for loop to create a new record based on input from a form. When the automation is tested in "run as configured" mode the new records are created as expected. However, when testing live the automation fails to create the record. However other aspects of the automation completed correctly so I know the automation is triggering as it should. The fact that the tests are working correctly makes me think that the issue lies with something on the Airtable side and not the automation side. Could this be the case? Thanks!

I have set up automations to send messages to Slack channels when specific conditions are met. These automations function correctly, displaying the intended bot name and bot icon. However, I've noticed an issue over the past few weeks. After an unpredictable amount of time, usually about an hour, Airtable sends a duplicate message with "Airtable" as the bot name and the Airtable icon as the bot icon. I'm unable to find a way to prevent or deactivate this secondary notification.Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I like this reminder feature I tapped into sometime last year.  I am using it to monitor subscriptions based on their "Expiry Date".The triggers have worked so far, but I just noticed that obviously the Expiry date needs to be updated each time the date passes so that the reminder is triggered yearly/monthly recurrently, until I set the subscription to "Disabled".  What is the best way to do this?Sorry if this has been covered.Many thanks

Hi! I'm trying to create an automation to assign a due dates to tasks that all have a due date of Thursday, and the tasks vary by how many weeks out they should be completed. For example, our "Final Paperwork Due" task always needs to be due the Thursday 2 weeks out from the event date.I've been able to make a formula that can automate the deadline to a certain number of days out from the event, but I can't pin down how to always make the due date a certain day of the week. Any help appreciated!

I am trying to create an automation that will update a record. I want to add a linked record from one field (Field A) to a different field (Field b). Field A will have only one linked record in it. Field B allows multiple linked records. Right now, whenever i update the record with the info from Field A, it either overwrites everything that was in Field B or it creates a new linked record that merges the info that was in Field A with the info that was previously in Field B. Is it possible to automate this kind of update? thanks for any help! is this possible?

Hello My department is trying to decide whether to move forward with Airtable or not and the feasibility of the items below would help us decide. Is it possible to do the following in a native airtable form? If so, could someone please tell me the specific steps I should take? I’m currently using the trial version. It will categorize based on program, sub-program, and category within that program.The Budget table contains every category of budget items. The overall program, then the hierarchy of sub-program and category within the program.The automation I created triggers upon the creation of a record in the All Expenses table via the form. It is set to find records that match in program, sub-program, and category. Once found, it will update the budget item record in the Budget Table. Images to make it easier to understand. When a record gets the single select category “Investment from private”, this automation triggers. This is synced directly from my business bank account every day. This is the record i want to update: Thought i had it covered with this automation: Buuuuut the automation overwrites the linked records instead of adding to the end of it. Is there any simpler way to deal with this? Do i have to use a script instead? This is for a client that deals with tons of transactions and i have to make a separate table categorizing cashflow.

HII'd like to update my current job submission form to collect extra details on certain projects.  I only want this new field to appear if Job Type "XYZ" is selected (I know how to do that part!)Part I need help with:I need the submitter to answer a few questions pertaining to the job. FolksI am getting this error now, after thousands of emails sent through several automations along the time, using only one email."Google reported an error while processing this action:You've temporarily hit Google's rate limit for sending emails."How can I prevent to get this error?What is the google limit?Will a professional google account prevent this from happening?I am trying to get these answers from the net, and nothing yet has showed up.Did someone already got one of these?Thanks in advance for the help

Hello! Please help 🙂 1. I have an "all expenses" tab where we input all of our event expenses. In this tab one of the columns is "event" where you select what event that expense is tied to. 2. We also have a "budget summary tab" that includes what was budgeted for each event as well as an "actuals" column next to it for each event. 3. I am trying to make everything entered in the "all expenses" tab populate the actuals column of the correct event in the budget summary tab. 

When editing an automation that uses the Find Records module, the "Test Action" function outputs the resulting records in a nice pop up table. How can I get this same functionality with the published interface/automation? If I don't add an output, then initiating the automation from the interface (in my case a button), yields a "Started" notice at the bottom left, but then nothing. I've been able to get the output to go generate a GoogleDoc, but this is cumbersome. I really just need to be able to Copy the text (and paste it into an existing email reply).
