My business charges a monthly subscription fee throughout the life an an agreement. For example, someone signs an agreement to participate from 06/01/2020 to 12/31/2021 and they pay $500 per month. I am new to AirTable. I have the monthly amount they are paying associated with the client and I have the start date of the agreement and the end date of the agreement. I need to be able to create a table or a view that shows me the total revenue for all clients for a given time period (i.e. revenue every month into the future). Is this possible? Darby
Hello! I apologize for what may be a newbie question. I am currently trying to figure out if this is possible: Under the single select option for Community, is it possible to set up conditional logic that automatically populates another column with either “remote” or “rural” depending on which community was selected? So far, we have been populating this column manually, but I would love to know if it can be automated. Thank you!
Maybe this is impossible, but I’m just checking to see. I’m trying to put together a database of software I have, Most of it is audio production software and I have vast amount of plugins. So I essential have data that I need to organize is like this: developer | plugin name | software key [or] license file [or] iLok registration code what I want is to have a multiple selection for what software I own by each developer. EG: Column 1 (developer): iZotope Column 2 (plugins owned) multiple selection: Ozone 9 advanced, Neutron 3 advanced, Vocal Synth, RX 8 Standard These options will not exist in row 2 because row 2 will be a different developer who does not make these plugins. I do not want to have a new section for each developer because it would make no sense. Some companies only make 1 plugin. Column 3 is: invisible dynamically created after I selected Ozone 9 advanced and RX 8 Standard. asks what type of licensing (serial, license file, login, iLok activation code) for each. genera
Hello Airtable community! This is my first time posting in the forums and I’ve been using Airtable for a few months now and slowly getting the hang of it. I was wondering about the best ways of implementing capacity planning to a base, provided with fields for effort level, and start and end dates for each project. ex. Tables: Employees - contains data on employees Projects - contains data on projects occurring throughout the year(s) Assignments - contains data which assigns an employee, to a project, for a period of time, with a specified amount of effort on that project. An employee can be assigned to multiple projects, and project can have have multiple employees working on it. The important data is the effort level, since the idea is to have an employee achieve 100% effort across multiple projects (ex. 25% on 4 different projects will sum to 100%). The employee will work on the specified project(s) for a length of time. Is it possible to show the total effort for each employee acro
So I have Airtable to keep track of my expansive puzzle collection over 300 puzzles works great I love it! But I wanted to get my dad to start using it for his car shop like what needs done to this car that car does this need updated inspection on said car but would also want a reminder sent to him or a notification from Airtable saying that (inspection shop) is closing in 30 minutes and then once you tick off the inspection for the car it doesn’t give you the notification anymore? Does that make sense? TLDR; I’m basically asking if there’s a reminders system implemented into Airtable?
Firstly, I got a base which said two table are linked up. One is something like Table1 Name-Code(from table 2)-[Time] A. Aaa. [Time] B. Bbb. ~~ C. Ccc. ~~ D. Ddd. ~~ Table2. (7am-11pm are checkbox, Y mean ticked) Code-7am-8am-9am-10am-…-11pm Aaa Y.————-Y Bbb. ———Y————Y Ccc. Y Ddd. ————————————- Y I wanna the Of tables 1 able to show. The time session related with the code and it is ticked. Like Aaa would write out [7am, 9am] The second problem required me to solove this first
I’ve seen a lot of topics and/or feature requests to hide tables within a base. I want that as well. But on top of that, I don’t see topics here about hiding view items that you’ve actually created, not just those created and made personal view by other users. I’m not referring to how to toggle on and off the Views pane. I mean the different views that you’ve created, whether they be Grid, Form, Calendar, Gallery or Kanban, can they be hidden to declutter the Views pane, or better yet, maybe have the ability to group them in folders? I have created several views of the same table and they somehow already cluttered by Views pane. I don’t want to delete them because I have certain use for each of them.
Hi - we’re trying to develop an Applicant Tracking System for our applicants. However most of them usually apply to multiple roles. The basic ATS template now - only works best if they apply for one role. We would like to track easily - which roles they have applied for, and the feedback that they have gotten for each of the different roles. And when I click on a role, I want to see who has applied, and the feedback for that specific role. Is there a good way to structure our database? The only way I can think of is to have each job as a different tab - which will not work, because we have quite a lot of roles… Thank you so much :slightly_smiling_face:
Hi all. I am trying to get my head around creating a base for employee Starters, Movers & Leavers listings at my employer as a way to get Airtable into the business. After a couple of years of trying to get my boss to say yes, he finally agreed to my implementing a trial, so it’s important that I get this right! The current situation is that an Excel spreadsheet is prepared by HR and it consists of a single sheet with disparate information (columns) contained on it. I have attached an anonymised screenshot of part of a mock-up of it herewith. I have created a base with a table that contains all the spreadsheet fields and then created Views for each section of the spreadsheet, which just show the relevant fields (unused fields are hidden). I have then created input forms based on the configuration of each view - I had to create an Entry Type dropdown single select field to identify where each entry should go, e.g., the New Starters entry type goes into the New Starters view in th
HI Is there a way to create a field where the users can enter up to 3 text values (not pre defined) which are ranked. For example - What is your favourite food? Burger Chips Shakes Regards
Hello, I am switching over from Smartsheet to Airtable currently and am curious if anyone has an idea of how to create what I am calling “Header Rows” per the attached image. We are looking to categorize work based on what is happening today and still see the other rows that have work for the next few days. We also split our workflow into multiple teams and ultimately want to see it this way. To complicate things, we track work statuses and typically split them into each team on the sheet - the idea being we can schedule each team independently of each other. The attached image, where i have the kinds of header rows I am talking about (see “MONITORING VISITS”, “RED TEAM TODAY”, “GREEN TEAM TODAY”, “WHITE TEAM TODAY”, AND “ZERO / SPECIALS - UPCOMING” rows) is what I a ultimately looking to do. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi All! My team uses a base for scheduling trainings, including course code, instructor, and staff assignment. In our scheduling table, we have 1 record for each class, grouped by week. However, for classes that span more that 1 week, our team likes to have another record displayed for the following week(s). Ex: Course ABC is running over 2 weeks, we create 2 records, one for each week that the course spans. (I’m sure this isn’t best practice, but our team likes to have stand-ups to review the upcoming week, including any courses that are continuing from the week prior.) Problem is that we keep a lot of data tied to each course (enrollment, financials, etc.) that currently needs to be manually copied into the 2nd or 3rd week of any multi-week class. Any ideas/thoughts on how to automatically create another record for week 2/3 of a class, ideally with the ability to inherit the data from the week 1 record (ongoing), so we wouldn’t need to input the same data across 2-3 records for the s
I have a simple table (See below). I want to create a Leaderboard that shows each team and their total score across several quizzes in order from Highest to lowest total. I am not sure if my initial setup is the best. I know I can group by the Team and it will give me the total score but there is no way (that I know of) to sort by the Total Score. I don’t have experience using a Rollup and can’t figure out how to set up the second table to gather the needed info. Does anyone know of a good app that will take my AirTable result and make a pretty leaderboard that I can embed on a website and automatically update as new data comes into AirTable,
Anybody has issues recording video into Airtable attachment form? I’m not sure if iOS or Android mobile device can directly record a video into Airtable app, but I couldn’t find a way of doing it. It just doesn’t work for me, when I start the camera app, it doesn’t allow video recording, the video recording button is disabled on Android and it’s not present on iOS. Is there anything I need to change in my settings? Anyhow, I looked for a workaround and I noticed recording video into Airtable can be done using the Web Form of your base. Create a form out of your table and include the Attachment fields. Then create public sharing link to the form and access that link on your mobile device browser. I use Edge browser, but should also work on any full feature browser such as Firefox or Chome, but it doesn’t work on strip down browsers like Via, Dolphin Zero or Opera Lite. When you click on the attachment field in the form, the phone presents you with the option to do Image capture (=Came
Thank you in advance for any help! I should mention it is an extensive library (over 1000 pieces).
ex: I have multiple tables that will have URLs I’d like to link each table :People, Org, etc to the URL table. And when I’m adding a person, I want to add URLs but they should be inserted into the URL table Another example might be a shared “Tags” table. ORGS and People can have the same tags I don’t want to have to create the tag first, just during editing an Org record, start typing a tag and if it exists use it else add it. Is this possible?
Hi! I’m building out a product catalogue within AirTable and am stuck on the best way to manage updating prices for lots of similar products at once. Our company manufactures similar products but with variations of shapes and colours (23 colours for about 90 different shapes). There are just two Retail prices for the colours: “Standard” & “Premium”. And each shape is priced differently. The premium colours are 20% more expensive than the standard colours; so, only one price ever needs to be input for each shape and formulas can calculate the premium price (add 20%) and then other formulas work out all the different pricing tiers: retail is 2x wholesale + tax, trade is retail -10%, etc. In a spreadsheet this is pretty straightforward using lookups and IF statements that reference the base price and then a table that checks if the colour for X shape is considered “premium” or “standard”. But I cannot figure out how I’d achieve similar in AirTable without a convoluted repetition of fi
We have a database with clients and I would like to give casemanagers access to their own clients only. I van make a filtered view for every casemanager, but any other casemanager can still open that view. Is there any way to get this done?
I have used Airtable a couple of times pretty much as a spreadsheet. I want to do something that is still probably simple, but I still can’t figure it out even with the videos. I am just trying to organize all of my home media (see flow chart) into a searchable database . Can you point me to a video or example already out there?
I am trying to figure out how to have two columns in some sort of table or report where one is drawn from one table and another is matched according to an aggregate on another table. In SQL, this would roughly look like SELECT a.name, a.target, sum(b.value) FROM TAB1 a, TAB2 b WHERE a.name = b.name GROUP BY a.name Here, unique names occur once in a but many times in b so that many rows of b match to each row of a. TAB1 Name. Target A 1 B 2 C 3 TAB2 Name Value A. 5 A 3 B 2 C 3 B 6 C 4
Hi guys! I have trouble with the roll-up fields. Currently, almost nothing seems to work – even fields that worked before. As an example, I’ve created a roll-up field to count the linked records (see attached). Let me know if you need anything else! Martin
I’m combining the data from a number of tables in a new table. I’m grouping my view by project each project has some costs I wish to display. I also have staff members that work for a particular project they have costs I also wish to display(yellow). The problem is I see the project costs repeated for each staff member attached to the project(red) I would like to keep the summary. Is there a way to hide them or a different structure to overcome this issue?
Hi, I’m working on setting up a paper revision process. I have a Paper Submission table, a Reviewers table and a Review Form Data with the review itself. So once authors submit papers, they get 2 reviewers assigned in the Paper Submission table. Once that happens, an automatic email is sent to the reviewer with the paper, the Review Form that they need to fill out, and the due date. If they submit a review, a record is created in the Review Form Data table. So the outcome would be to have 2 review records for paper. So what I’m struggling is with setting up reminder for reviewers when they have 3 days left to submit the review. I created a Send Reminder view in the paper Submission table, but I’m struggling with the coditions since I don’t want reviewers to get reminders if they already submitted the review form. So let’s say that Reviewer 2 submits the review, so I get a record in my table, but I’m still waiting on Reviewer 1 and it’s 3 days before the due date therefore, I want to
Whenever I open an existing record, or start a new record, or when taking a picture, in all these cases Airtable causes the device to hang for 2-3 seconds a d the screen goes completely black and unresponsive. After that the app goes back to normal except when taking picture. When taking picture … specifically after the picture is taken the screen also goes black and when it emerges back the record shows the picture is being uploaded. However the next second the Android system message pops up telling me airtable is not responding and asking me if I want to wait for the application “get back to life or something like that”. However even before I can press wait, there is another message over that popping up saying Airtable was terminated. Once I restart the app again, the picture is sometimes uploaded but half of the time it wasn’t uploaded. Anybody noticed similar issue? I don’t have issues taking pictures for other apps. It seems Airtable related. By the way, i wonder why isn’t ther
We’ve built out an epic donor CRM base with the help of a developer, but we’re struggling to figure out the best way to approach spouses and families. Sometimes a person donates as an individual, and sometimes they donate as a married couple. I think it’s just what they think about doing that day, there is no other significance. We also want to track who a donor’s spouse is so that we can improve our relationships with the couple/family. My question is how to best handle the relationship to avoid double-sending information, honor individual relationships when necessary, and make the automation process when a new donation hits to go to the appropriate person or couple. These are my ideas, anyone have guidance on how to best approach between these ideas, or have a better one? Option 1 - Any time spouses give together, we split them up manually so there are two people, instead of 1, connect them as spouses, and mark the second spouse in the spouse as the Spouse/Secondary record so that w
