Hi Airtable community, I have a basic table for my content calendar base. In the simple table, I am categorizing each article we publish by Genre using the Single Select feature. I need to figure out a percentage formula that breaks down the total number of articles by genre and reflected in a percentage breakdown. In other words, I’d like a column that list, for example, 20% Rock Articles, 50% Rap Articles, 20% Pop articles. Here’s how I have my table set up now. Any suggestions now how I should begin this?

Does AIRTABLE allow for pausing a form and going back to complete? I found a comment from 2017 but wanted to check in now for status of change on this ask. Need some forms to be programmable to pause and return. thanks, M. Trigueros

Hello community! I may be in over my head but so far I love the way Airtable organizes things but can’t get it to work for me yet. I am a producer and have an ecommerce website and sell about a dozen items online using Webflow. I am trying to set up a base to help me track my sales and inventory and because some of my products come in different sizes and colors and I am having a real hard time extracting the pertinent information from my imported orders CSV file and organizing it so that I can use it. Here is a screenshot of my imported table, maybe I just need the right formula? Thanks in advance.

I’d like to have a colorful to do list. Something like Cool Memo & To Do Tasks Colourful Reminder Notes - Apps on Google Play except the ability to color the background of each field as well as all the other stuff. I’ve done some research and cannot find an app or a Windows program like this. Sometimes black text on a white background is too harsh on the eyes. Excel has very nice fill colors, for example. I am trying to set up a base for customs declarations one field is customs category which is a single select field. I would like the adjoining field which is customs code to automatically populate with the appropriate code based on which customs category is selected. It appears some sort of linked field/lookup is required but I am a novice and cant figure it out

Whereas I am happy to create a nice overview by “gallery” view, I struggle now to show everything I would like to see there: with a link field - multiple records allowed - the gallery view shows only one line and not all content. How can I enforce the display of the whole content in the gallery view (and not only after double click on one card)?

I’m developing a real estate website focused on condo buildings in the Washington, DC metro area. I’m housing the data in AirTable and via Zapier, it will create/update pages in WordPress. Two of the tables I have are for [condo] Buildings and Metro [stations]. The Metro is the subway system in Washington, DC. There are roughly 2500 condo Buildings and 100 different Metro stations. A Building will be near zero or several Metro stations. In the Building table, there are 3 fields that contain the names of Metro stations that are: Field 1 - within a 1/4 mile Field 2 - between 1/4 to 1/2 mile Field 3 - between 1/2 to 1 mile Each of the fields can have 0 to several Metro station names. An example would this abbreviated record for the building Turnberry Tower: Building Name: Turnberry Tower Field 1: Rosslyn Field 2: Courthouse, Pentagon, Virginia Square Field 3: Metro Center, L’Enfant Plaza I would like to relate each Metro station name to the corresponding record in the Metro table. So I am trying to make a table where we have all the different products we sell on a weekly basis. At the end of the week I want to input the number of each product sold under that products field. That’s the easy part I think. But how do I enter new numbers each week while not erasing the old ones while simultaneously adding the numbers I put in every week to a master table that just shows the number of products sold by each rep.

Hi, I’m building out a base to track plant inventory in a nursery. The way it should work is I receive plant material, and assign values to several fields in a Table called “Receiving” Once the material is added to the system, an automation adds it to my main “Nursery Inventory” Table Here’s where I’m stuck. Let’s say I order 500 seeds, I plant 100 of them, 98 of them sprout. then they go into “hardening” phase. while in that phase 5 of them get sick and need to be quarantined, another phase. In the end we sell 97 of the original 100. I want to record the receipt of the 500 seeds, subtract 100 from that, hold them in a phase/location for a period of time, subtract 5 from that and move them to a “sick phase”, move the remaining 95 to a third location/phase, add 2 back to the 100 in the 3rd phase, and then ultimately record that we sold 94 of the 100. I run an acting school- and have a google drive folder full of about 1500 scripts. I’ve created an index of those files with links to them (in a google extension), then imported that list into airtable. We then went through and painstakingly added searchable info and a clickable button for each entry. So now we have a sharable view that students can search by age, gender, genre, etc. But we continually have new scripts coming in…and I’d love to skip the step of manually indexing the new scripts and pasting that into the airtable. Using a form is too tedious for each individual script we get in (cause it’s a lot) Is there a way to connect an airtable to Google Drive so that it automatically dynamically INDEXES a google drive folder (with LINKS to each individual file). That way when we get new script we could just drop them in the google folder (and add searchable data down the road into the proper airtable row) OR- is there an easy way to batch import FILES into an airtable (so that ea

I’m new to AirTable, but have been a FileMaker developer for many years, and I’m trying to figure out the AirTable way of doing things. I wrote a simple time tracking application and I would like to create invoice line items from each of the time slips. If I’m creating an invoice for a client, I want to find all of the time slips that haven’t been invoiced previously and create an invoice line item for each one of them. I realize that I could use the time slips table itself, but I might want to combine some, change descriptions or otherwise alter them and I want the invoice to be independent and “locked” after they are sent. I know how I would do this in FileMaker, but what is the best way to do this in AirTable. You can assume that each invoice line item would be filled with the Date Created, Customer, Product, Description and Time Worked.

Is it possible to create multiple links between one table and another? For example, can I link from Table A to Table B on both a Record Number and have a separate link by Company Name? I think the answer is no and that I should use a concatenated field for my primary field if I want to do that, but want to make sure.

What’s the best way to go about designing a table so that my team can duplicate multiple records at a time? For context, we are grant writers, and we want the tasks and subtasks for each grant to be the same. So I created a template that has 8 records. Right now, we have to make a copy of each record of the template and assign it to the correct grant. That of course leaves room for error. How can we duplicate the template Tasks at one time? Hello, i love using emojis in my airtable base/table/view/fields… but i did not find any easy way to get them. emoji shortcut on mac “crlt+cmd+space” works when i use airtable on Chrome But when i use the desktop app (mac version), i have to go to the Notion Desktop App !!! …to get emojis and copypaste them.

I have some experience with relational databases (Access/Quickbase) but was intrigued with airtable capabilities. I am trying to create an inventory management solution to fulfill my orders that come from shipstation. I already know I can import orders from shipstation into airtable by way of zapier. Most of the functionality I need I already know exists in airtable. My javascript skillset is limited. My question is there a way to implement asking somebody to input a list of unique serial numbers(could be hundreds of those at a time) and then associate those serial numbers with either an order or a purchase order? Then mark those serial numbers as either in stock or out depending on whether it is a PO or an Order?

I have two bases in the same workspace. Base A with records 0001 to 4999, and Base B with records 5000 to 9999. I want to combine the two bases into one new Base C with records 0001 to 9999. So I duplicate Base A, rename the duplicate Base C, which at that point contains the records 0001 to 4999. Then I copy records 5000 to 9999 from Base B, and I want to add them to Base C after record 4999. And that’s where it ends, that is not possible, because I can’t find any way to add them. When I click the + for adding a record, then I get the message “Record moved”, and a new record is created at the beginning of the base, so it makes a new record 0001. And if I try to copy multiple records, then I get the message that I’m trying to perform a paste that overwrites all the records in the base. So records 5000 to 9999 are not added to the base, but records 0001 to 4999 will be overwritten. I know I must be doing something wrong, but I haven’t any clue what that could be.

Hi everyone I am new to the amazing world of airtable! I run an interior design practice. Just me at the moment, but want to set things up so I can have a team in future. I sell my time to do design work (hourly or fixed fee), and I sell products (not from stock), so I need airtable for - project mgt - each client house is a project with tasks, probably with sub tasks too time recording - ideally with a timer, but retaining historical time entries product library and creating proposals of items for each room / house I work on So… do I set up one base with lots of tables, or two, or even three (one for time)? Considerations are - I want to get this right from the start! (don’t we all) I may create proposals/invoices which need to include my time, an agreed fixed fee, and/or products. I want to push these through to QB. as I will add attachments to products and projects I am also a bit worried about storage limits per base too, which made me wonder whether more bases is better. Is it possible to use the values in a field to populate a single-select field in a related table? Example: Table A has a field Color with 5 records. The values in the Color field are: red, blue, green, blue and red. This results in a single-select field, also called Color, in Table B with red, blue, and green as the options. The options would update when I add a record in Table A with purple in the Color field - resulting in these options in Table B’s Color field: red, blue, green and purple.
