The "revision history" of records is great, but it has its limitations.  If you're using the free version of Airtable for example, you only get 2 weeks' worth of revision history.  It also logs absolutely every change made to a record by anyone, which can become difficult to sift through if your base is complicated and has multiple collabators.As a workaround for this, I've started using automations to log particular changes I want to monitor, by simply using the NOW() function as a datestamp that's pasted into a long text field each time the actions I want to log are taken.  The automation takes the contents of the {Change log} field and copies it back into itself each time along with the new datestamp and notes of actions taken.  So what you're left with is a running tally of certain actions within each field.Another advantage of this is that, because the change log is actually a field within a base, which the revision history is not, you can display it in an inte

I think it is covered in the free plan but If I want to upgrade to the plus plan to benefit from more records per table, how much I’ll need to pay?Let’s say I have a module called Patients where I have records about their personal info, visits, clinical history, etc. I’d like that user called receptionists to be able to record and modify patients' info but not able to change/modify module configuration. Using Airtable and Zapier, I am trying to link uploaded photos in an email.For example, we are using Airtable as our backend system and once a job is complete we upload photos of the completed job, is there a way to link this attachment field to use in an outbound email?I assumed I could use this link in the Zapier / Email automation:  However this link doesn't work: Any help would be appreciated. Currently we have sent the files from AirTable to Google Drive and using the shared link from there, however Google Drive uploads all of AirTables attachments in a zip folder so it shares it as a zip.

You can now query Airtable with GraphQL! At StepZen we’ve built tools to create a GraphQL API out of an existing REST API (or database). This way you can take the REST API from Airtable and transform it into GraphQL. There are two ways to get a GraphQL API for Airtable, either with code or without writing any code. I want to display the task to fix bugs and other tasks in kanban views for easily tracking and unite all the tasks: x-axis will be the type of our tasks, and y-axis will be the status of each tasks. However, it seems like Kanban view doesn't allow to setup with multi-selection so could you guys give me an idea to set up them on Kanban or Interface/Gantt chart to display all the tasks?

I need to restore, or more exactly, copy part of a snapshot into the base we are currently using. I realize Airtable's intented way of restoring is just to go on using the snapshot instead of the latest version, but this is not possible in this case because there are too many extensions, apps and syncs connected to it + we haven't stopped using it .Details and difficulties disclaimer:The base is a very complex BOM with thousands of records made of different combinations of hundreds of records from 4 or 5 other nested tables where all the names/primary records of all those tables are a formula composed of abbreviations of those linked records. What happened is that I lost data from one of the innermost of those nested tables and that changed the formula names of the parent records, so I can't match them to their copy in the snapshot by finding each by name. The record ids in the snapshot are different than the original, so no api or copy paste method that i know about works, not by name

To all Airtable employees, I kindly urge you to consider going back to your old homescreen design. The new homepage is terrible - it's confusing, disorganized, and requires too many clicks to access my workbases. The previous version was much simpler and easier to use. Please listen to your users and bring back the user-friendly interface we loved

Hello. I am new to airtable. I have been using it for about a week now. I used the rollup field few days ago and it worked very well. Since yesterday I have been trying to use it but I get the same error message"Sorry, there was a problem creating this field. The options are not valid."I have the fields linked to another table but I don't get why it isn't working.

Is anyone here a partner with Airtable? If so, what are the conditions for this and what do they pay the most attention to?

I am unable to find any 'Duplicate Base' option in my base dropdown (accessed by clicking the three dots). The only option available is 'Slack Notification.' What steps can I take to troubleshoot this issue?

Hello,I'm recording international transport orders in Airtable, which require an origin and destination location at the city level. I have linked tables with cities, states/provinces, and countries, just like the CRM template by AirTable. When using a form view directly on the base table, I just add the City and the picker will display the related states and countries.  I also created a form as an interface, but the city picker won't show other fields from the City table. Is there a way to show other data associated with the City when selecting it in an Interface form?
