Hi there. I am looking to hire someone who can help me with my project. Ideally I want someone that will sit with me and talk me through the processes so I can learn at the same time. I already have some automations working with me Webflow site using zapier so i’m not a complete novice, I’m just quite time poor at the moment and need to get this project live quickly. The main objective is to get data moving to and from Webflow and automate an much as I can using airtable. I have been building out a database in Airtable to track the 199 countries of the world in regards to these kind of data points: strength of passport (visa free countries you can visit, whether you can go visa free to USA, Schengen countries and other top destinations, etc) plus a good number of other metrics. In each country record, I have started entering how each passport is treated in every other country. I’d like to scrape this data from wikipedia entries such as this: *Visa requirements for Slovak citizens - Wikipedia) and have it merged into my airtable. The end result is being able to pick any country and see the options for travel in some kind of simplified table or map. The other data consideration is how visa waivers work i.e. you get X number of days to start and can extend for another Y days for a total of Z days per year. 3/17/2020 Edit: updated the the ‘Create’ case to return the recordId's of the created records, rather than just a count of created records. Thanks @kuovonne for the idea. The updateRecordsAsync(), createRecordsAsync(), and deleteRecordsAsync() functions that Airtable provides in the Scripting Block only allow the action to perform on 50 records at a time at most. Metabase is an open source BI tool where you can easily summarize and visualize your data. You can connect Airtable to Metabase using a tool I helped build, Sync Inc. We are a social impact driven consortium of international development consultants, and we are looking for the help of an advanced Airtable user, ideally one who is an independent consultant or aligned to our mission. I wanted to share what I figured out looking for a way to run an automation at a scheduled time. First, create a helper table named Automation Trigger with 3 columns: Name (type: Single line text) Run At (type: Date, with time field included) Record (type: Formula, expression: RECORD_ID()) For each automation you want to schedule: Add a row with a unique descriptive name Add a view with a filter matching only the one record added above (Name is …) Add an automation: Choose trigger: When record updated Select table: Automation Trigger Select view: the one matching your automation intent Select the Run At field. Run test Add an action according to your needs Finally, the scheduling piece. You’ll need Integromat or Zapier. Zapier allows to schedule a task only at a selected hour. There’s a sound doing the rounds on TikTok of American comedian, Steve Harvey, laying out his formula for success in the realm of mens’ suits. He claims that from 5 colours of suits (matching jacket and trousers) and 3 colours of shirts, you could make 75 combinations because everything goes with everything else (subjective and outside the scope of this post). Thought I’d see if he pulled this number out of thin air or not and test my JavaScript at the same time. Here’s the base I made, using the web search function on attachments to pull in some pics and a scripting block to iterate through all the options and create the matching outfits.
