Hi! So I recently noticed that if I am creating records in a filtered view that all NEW records added in that view will automatically get the same values that are required by that filter. This is pretty AWESOME! Ive been itching to get new records to auto-fill and this helps me get toward that goal. Feature request… If you could attach a form view to create records in a specific view, that would ROCK! However, I do also use the ‘prefill’ in the URL option to do that.

Introducing Default Field Values via new Scripting Block Brought to you by the team at BuiltOnAir & Openside/On2Air Overview Airtable’s Scripting block brings a new level of customization to your Airtable bases. The Scripting block will allow you to run scripts to enhance your bases and manage tedious tasks. You can do things such as create templates for records, prompt users, create custom reports, and much more. Once the script is added to your base, you can use it with the click of a button. We are creating a library of scripts for you to use in your Airtable bases. We have many more examples on the way. These scripts will give you an even better understanding of the data in your base and eliminate repetitive data entry. About This Script: Setting Default Values In this tutorial, we will show you how to set a default value for any record or field in your base. With this script, every time you create a record in your base table, it will automatically add the data you set as a

Dear Airtable Developer, I’m looking for a person who can make me a dynamic form with a multi-checkbox option that is generated based on data that comes from the Shopify API. What I’m developing is a Customer Returns Portal in which my customers can fill in their ordernumber and zip code, so that they get based on that their order information in Airtable. In the form I want my customer to be able to get a dynamic multi-select-checkbox menu with that items from their Shopify order. So that for example, when a customer has places an order with 4 items, if they want to send 2 back, they can select 2 items, and send those 2 items back to us. For that I need the form to pull the order information from Shopify, and show the customer the line items based on the information they fill in, in the form. Kind Regards, Jimmy Jaspers CEO

I’m working on an amateur project that involves outputting nice-looking text. I managed to cobble together something that serves my specific needs and thought I’d share it here in case it helped anyone else (and also so I can save the link for reference later). Many thanks go to @W_Vann_Hall for the sample base demonstrating how to extract the last name from a field, which was a crucial piece in my “finding the last comma” puzzle. Is there a PROPER name formula in Airtable? - #3 by W_Vann_Hall Goal: Given a list of items separated by commas, add an Oxford comma where appropriate My data has a rollup field which returns items separated by a comma and a space. Example: Moonbreaker Mountain Dreamwater Depths, Meltwater Loch Meltwater Loch, Dreamwater Depths, Blastfire Bog In lists containing one item, there’s nothing to change. In lists containing two items, I want the comma replaced with " and". In lists containing three or more items, I want the FINAL comma replaced with “, and” (preser

Hi everyone - excited to announce that I’m running a 1-day Airtable Scripting Bootcamp on Wed 16th June. Info and booking here: http://bit.ly/airtable-bootcamp This is going to be a live bootcamp, hosted on Zoom and it is targeted at any Airtable users who want to get started with Airtable scripting. The introduction of scripting to Airtable has been a big deal and opens up lots of possibilities for processing, automation, integration and so on. But, if you’re not a hardcore coder, how do you get started? This is what the bootcamp will tackle. We’re going to cover: Intro to the scripting block Adding the script app and orientation Getting data from your Airtable base Updating records with a script Deleting records with a script Creating records with a script Filtering your data Transforming/summarising your data Running a script in an Airtable automation We’ll also cover some JavaScript concepts along the way. This bootcamp is open to anyone, but is targeted at new and beginner level
I’m looking to hire a consultant to connect an existing Airtable base to a new Gatsby site. The new Gatsby site will be very similar to a site that already exists using Jekyll. I do not know Gatsby well, which is why I’m looking to hire. I’m hoping to find someone well-versed in both Airtable and Gatsby. Thank you.
Retool and Airtable make a great pairing. Airtable is great for managing data around almost anything. Retool is a great for building internal tools on that data. For instance, you use this Customer Success Airtable template and Retool to rapidly build a customer success tool (as we do in the video below). Or, you can use this Product Catalogue template and Retool to build a resource management tool. You could even expose a customer portal if you wanted to. While not exactly no-code (you’ll need a little JavaScript / SQL), Retool takes care of most of the hard work so you can just focus on building your app. If you are comfortable with Airtable scripting - then you’ll be right at home in Retool. We created a video tutorial that shows you step-by-step how to build a custom app using Retool with Airtable and our service - Sync Inc. Sync Inc is just an option here. It makes it easier to build your app on Retool. But you can use the Airtable API if you are comfortable working working with
I have just published a blog post about using Integromat to automate processes in Airtable which people may find useful - any question please fee free to get in touch! Link to Post
I’m the CEO for a nonprofit in Northern Virginia. I have recently subscribed to Airtable. What I need is a consultant to help with setting up the database (forms; processes, etc.): clients>linked to multiple projects per client; about 100 data fields total. I will need to integrate clients/projects from a home-grown database into Airtable as well. In time, I will also need to build a robust grants managment and marketing database. This is my second priority. Can anyone help me with this? thanks
Within the last 3 weeks we had a team member build several tables for us. However, we have lost that team member. There are various simple things we need help with for everything to function properly. The first major issue we have is setting up a sync to Google calendar once it is noted/marked on the table. Is there someone who can assist, willing to pay. Thank you

I have a very small business … but big dreams. I set up my base with the help of a few people, but I don’t think I can accomplish all I need all myself. Backstory: I have a small bed and breakfast, and I use a Booking system called Hostaway to track reservations, the Hostaway API is connected to my base with a script that’s hosted on AWS. I need a lot of help with the functions and automation of this data, CRM and Financials (which are mostly coming from stripe). I was hoping to create a Junction table (I don’t even know if I"m using the term right) to combine the Hostaway data and the Stripe data, so that I can tell which booking is paid in full and which are not. I also wanted to track gift certificate purchases and link them automatically to the booking used with the gift certificate and the consumer who purchased the gift Certificate (guest vs. customer). I have this part almost done … but it’s not connecting automatically. There are a number of things I would like to do, but I d
Lots of exciting updates and news in Softr’s May update: :link: Linked Lists You can now display linked records in your Softr app. If you have two (or more) tables linked to each other, now you not only can show data from one table but also all the related data from other tables on the same page. Check out the documentation to see how that works on a specific example. :heavy_check_mark: Custom Form redirect on completion Your forms just got superpowers! Until recently the form submission would only change the Submit button color to indicate success. Now on form completion, you can either show a success message to your respondents or send your respondents to another page in your app. Check out our documentation for more details. :clipboard: New Form Fields Our custom form builder now also supports Date & Time field type, alongside the standard Date type. Add the field and it gets magically mapped to your corresponding Airtable date & time field. Moreover, we’ve added a Check
Hi guys, Joel here  Over the last two weeks I’ve been working away on new features, updates and lots of improvements for Paytable.io. A membership platform and secure reader for Airtable. I recently dropped a thread over at twitter all about this, you can follow me on my journey over there if you want to keep in the loop with product progress as it happens. Paytable is now becoming the perfect way to monetize any of your curated bases including research products, info databases, lead-magnets curated galleries, jobs-boards, tools lists, checklists and whatever it is that can provide value to your audience. Monetizing Airtable data has never been easier and Paytable resolves the issue of sharing actual airtable shared view urls which means no more leaked access links. Direct checkout links & customer onboarding improvements If you’ve got your own website, or just a simple landing page somewhere and want to start selling access to an Airtable database, it’s now easier than
