I am interested in doing some Airtable solution implementation. I am experienced with client requirements discovery, solution architecture and integrations. I work with a range of software platforms and use airtable for my own project management. I am not a coder, more a power user with a lot of real life business process experience. From 2007 until around 2011 I was the Director of Operations for the Destiny Search Project of which I was also a Founder. The original Destiny Search Project was formed in 2007 after the disappearance and search for missing Destiny Norton in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2008 the group was organized into a Non-Profit and operated for several years. This included searches for Camille Cleverley, Hser Ner Moo, Susan Powell and others. Unfortunately with the departure of some of the board of directors operations came to a close. For some time, it was hoped to bring back the project and improve upon it, and make it available nationwide. At one time an open source software project was even started but it also ended when the primary operations had been ended. This is the Job Search database that I extended to include: applications, companies, positions, contacts and activities. I recently found a new job using this database. The main areas I would like to improve, but don’t see a way to do so yet in Airtable: 1) Auto-populate a position when I get a hit on an application, 2) auto-select and/or auto populate the company when I select a position or contact, 3) restrict the list of linked rows to just the rows that are a match for that company / position. Hello! I am creating my company’s first-ever master content calendar for marketing & comms. This is probably a fairly simple job. I just can’t seem to find the right base to use, and I don’t have the resources internally to delegate this task to someone on my (small but mighty) team to take care of. I am a part-time social dance teacher and also work as an IT support person in two private companies working in dance teaching business. Some months ago I got a task from my boss - to build an application for scoring, to be used in a dance competition. The competition in question is a peculiar one: you see, in a normal dance competition, there are fixed couples dancing, and nominated judges give the scores. All existing scoring apps are build around this hypothesis. Ours was different however: it was based on peer review, ie. every leader danced with every follower and the dancers gave scores for each other. No existing application bends to this peculiar case, so I needed to build one from scratch. I also needed to make my application an online one, so at first I thought about SQLite + PHP. My organization is currently visualizing Airtable data in Tableau by connecting our Airtable API to Google Sheets (using Blockspring) and then connecting Tableau to Google Sheets. This is working, but since no more than 100 records can be fetched from Airtable at a time, I have to break tables into several smaller tables through filtered views. Is anyone able to assist with fetching more than 100 records? Thanks! Allie

Airtable has worked so well on student side of the school I work for, that I’m making a major leap into using it for our marketing activities. Which activities? All of them: Project Management Publishing Calendar Partner CRM Vendor Contacts Media Hit Database Collateral Management Campaign Results Swipe File and Event Planning It makes sense for all of this to be in one database, not spread across a half dozen applications. There are products that attempt to do this, but they cost $$$ a month and often trade functionality for usability.

I would be interested to know whether there is a possibility to synchronize between two versions of a base. My use-case is as follows: I would like to have a stable RELASE version of a base to which users have access through the API (with a defined API key). At the same time I would like to have the possibility to modify/extend a copy of that RELEASE version (let’s call it WORKING_COPY) and once this copy has reached a certain status it shall again be used as the new RELEASE version with the unchanged API key. I found it easy to duplicate a base in order to e.g. work on that duplicate as the WORKING_COPY but I don’t see a possibility to bring back those changes to the originating base (with the defined API key). Is there a way of achieving this or are there alternate solutions for my use case? Thank you, Stefan

If you run a Wordpress website and you want to be able to easily pull data from Airtable into Wordpress, this is for you. Airfields is a Wordpress plugin I’ve built that allows data from Airtable to be accessed using Wordpress’ get_post_meta and get_post_custom functions. There is also a shortcode you can use in the post editor that will output the value of whatever Airtable field you specify. The way it works is that in the Airfields admin settings you will provide (App ID, API Key and) the name of an Airtable table and a field from that table in which either the post slug or the post ID will be stored. Then, any posts that match will have its custom data populated from the fields of the corresponding record from Airtable. This works with pages, posts, and any custom post type and can be used to display any field type Airtable supports. This should be considered a beta. I was playing around with rollups today and couldn’t quite get or to work like I thought it should. Even worse I couldn’t find examples of how others are using it. An examples, real or made up? Thanks!

I write knitting patterns, they had to be tested - if everything is correct or not. So I have tests - for every pattern. I collect data as volunteers, yarn used, if finished, etc. I have testers - because some people joins to more tests. I want to keep their email address here, know in which tests they knitted and how. So I would like to rate them - did the finish in time, sent the survey back, etc. I don’t see, how I should connect all this data together. How it works now: I have a Google doc, one table for all tests, with the data mentioned before. And I have an other table: rows are testers and columns are the tests, I give a “note” for them. I’m in search of a consultant to assist me in creating a client management/fulfillment system that fulfills a few unique needs, including project management. Currently have a Google Sheet I’ve been working from, but am looking for something more organized and robust. My attempts with Airtable thus far have failed, as I’m not familiar with formulas.

Many of my tasks have a bunch of quick jobs to tick off. They’re not worthy of being a separate task. So far I’ve resorted to just writing them down in the notes cell as a sort of bulleted list. Is there a way to turn them into a proper checklist? Perhaps zapier or some other work around?

I’m from Ukraine, so bare with my English.) For some months I develop game-mechanics and for a few weeks I try an implementation on Airtable. And I have some issues and some problems here. So I would be quite grateful for some help. My DB consists of lots of tables, among them are ASPIRATIONS (what I try to achieve by my actions), ACTIONS (list of actions I presume to be potentially helpful if practiced regularly), QUESTS (taking an action for some exact number of repetitions during a period of time), DAYS (every record is a day of game with according events), REPETITIONS (each repetition of each quest must be there), TRANSACTION (each gain or loss of points must be accounted for). For example I add an Aspiration like “Lose 10 kilos of body weight”, then I add Actions wich I see helpful with such a target like “Run a mile a day”, then I may take a Quest with this Action. Hello, I run a cabinet manufacturing company. We currently use printed out spreadsheets for everything. I would like a tidy database that could manage our “jobs”. I’ll try to outline how it would work here: We have multiple projects with multiple builders. Each project has multiple plans (Plan 1, Plan 2, Plan 3) Each plan has multiple options (Door 1, 2, 3, Stain color 1, 2, 3, Optional Bath 3, etc.), each with an individual price, for which the price is split up by “material”, “stain”, “prefab door cost”, installation, delivery, tax, etc. For each phase of a project our sales reps will create a “sequence” which is a list of all the houses or “lots” with the associated plan number and all the associated options that were selected. I would like to speak to a consultant to help me with an idea I have. I’d like to put a “Check your Order on AirTable” link on my WordPress site which, when checked, would prompt user to log on to AirTable and once that’s accomplished, take the customer to a read only view of their orders we populate by us in AirTable. Not sure it can even be done.

We need a developer to create an API to update my orders planning base. I have created an orders planning Base that does everything I want but updating it is a bit of a pain, copying and pasting from a spreadsheet. “This is the next big thing” That’s what one of our instructors literally said. And her job is to teach database design! My marketing coordinator is raving about it, and my admissions officer is already evangelizing it around the company. The biggest draw so far? The app and how it displays records, and how easy it is to add a new field. As the guy who has to choose which software we adopt, my sole criteria for buying an app is will everyone use it. Adoption is the problem that keeps me up at night. So far Airtable has cleared that bar.

We’re soon going to start planning a project to take our existing work with Airtable to the next level. We’re tracking a big amount of bases and we need to be able to centralize our operation a bit to save time and, most of all, sanity. We still have to sit down and define the scope of the project but would like to start conversations with professional developers with experience working wth Airtable API who would be interested in working on our project.
