I’ve just written a blog post which some people may find interesting on the topic of sending Email (or other) alerts from Airtable using Scheduled Zapier Zaps. If you’re interested check it out: Sending Notifications from Airtable I’d welcome any thoughts and comments!
I’ve noticed there have been some posts recently about Scripts for Airtable - for coders wanting a way to build clickable actions on top of airtable. I thought it might be a good idea to write an article for the non coders amongst us who may have similar needs - and it turns out that this is possible using Zapier (when Airtable is used in the Google Chrome browser). I’ve written an an article in my blog about how to configure a “Push Zap” to send an email to an employee (using my KasPer Lite base in the Universe) letting them know how much holiday (vacation) they have remaining in the current year - and also updating the Activities table in the base to record that the email was sent. You can find a link to the article here: Using Push Zaps
Main goals are to track the following: People looking for grants from us and their history People offering to volunteer and their history doing so with us People who have donated (how much, when, how many times total, average, via what program/ promotion) Grants we’ve applied for Who to follow up with next Event/ marketing planning Anything I’m missing. :slightly_smiling_face: FYI: Our NGO is GROWfound.org. We provide grants to individuals and groups doing research, prevention, and treatment of addiction in all its forms.
Hello! I work at a VC and am building a system to track all of the work and data associated with companies, projects, and people. Looking for a partner to help do some custom work (and possibly just generally advise since I’m new to the platform). I anticipate it will be several hours spread over the course of the next month. Examples: If I link to a LinkedIn company profile, I’d like to be able to pull in # employees and have it auto update. If I link to a company’s Crunchbase profile, I’d like it to pull in the company’s most recent funding amount and recent news. I’d like the system to remind me to reach out to each of my contacts on a predetermined basis. I would like to migrate all of the candidates I’m tracking in SF to airtable. Probably ~15 things like this. Please send me a private message if you’re interested, and let me know your availability, rate, and any questions you have. Thanks!
I want to combine develop an airtable that allows me to track general marketing activity as well as content development/publishing and link to website/channels to track statistics. I will need help on a ongoing basis once this first table is set.
I’m revealing a basic hole in my failed upbringing, but I could really remedial training on ARRAYs . I’ve looked at the formula documentation but … And, I’ve looked at the AT Community, but … So, I’m pretty sure that ARRAYS are useful and solve problems that I’m bound to have, or do have and don’t recognize the obvious solution. So, any pointers to entry-level training with lots of examples, documentation or videos will surely correct my personal shortcomings in this area.
I an new to Airtable and have a pretty good grasp of it capabilities. I use Zapier to bring in data from 2 different Google Forms and the overall scope of my use is to manage applicants and where they are in the process of applying to attend our program. I need help setting up my tables in the most efficient way to maximize ease of use and data management/processing. If you are in the Los Angeles area, I would like to meet and learn from you, and get my system up and running smoothly based on our mission. Please respond via email. I will pay for this service. Any lucky beta tester around? I would love to hear about the cool new features that are being tested.
Hi All, I’m interested in getting someone to put together a web-based front end for an airtable base, one record per page. I’m currently using the Blocks “Page Designer” beta feature but it’s a bit inflexible for my needs. This would be a paid freelance project, the code would likely be open sourced. Message me if you’re interested to find out more, then you can give me a quote. Thanks! Harry
Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I have a simple Table that lists my customers, City, Postal Code. What I would like to do is create another table that can list all the Cities and Total the number of customers in each city. Thank you all for any help.
I am working on a home manual for my employer. We would like to print all of the records on separate pages. I have tried to extended view to print and it is not exactly what I want. It would be great if empty fields could be hidden and the format of the page could be consolidated or moved around so the whole page could be printed on one page.
I am really proud to show you R750Exporer: https://r750explorer.me (German) About the App The App is a combination of treasure hunt (German: Schnitzeljagd) and geocaching for the city Radolfzell near Lake Constance. Radolfzell celebrates currently to be 750 years old. Some locations will be shown in a Google Map with additional historic information from city archive. If you reached the location, you could unlock questions by code. These codes are located on stickers at the locations. Giving correct answers, you could then reach the high score and win some cool items from our sponsors. How is it done During one week, we have developed with 10 youngsters (no IT skills, 14 - 18 years) supported by our IT apprentices this Java based app. We have done it in “an agile way” creating userstories, paper mockups and some (flexible) sprints. from Zero to 100% in five days! We are a retail Tenant rep real estate company and have a database of new real estate sites for each of our many Tenants which we share with the Tenants. We also have multiple agents working on these databases. We would like to create one linked database for each of our agents that would have all of the properties that they are working on for all of the various Tenant databases. Not sure if this is possible with Airtable. We don’t want one field with 50 properties but need a spreadsheet that has just the agents deals that they can work with daily and will update the various Tenant databases as they work. What we have: A Database for McDonalds with the 5 properties John is working on, 3 properties Kevin is working on, 2 properties Chuck is working on. Database for Taco Bell with 2 properties John is working on, 1 property Kevin is working on, 7 properties Chuck is working on. What we need: A Database for John with the 5 properties for McDonalds with 5 rows, 2 properties for Taco Bel
New to Airtable. Enjoying it so far. Working on a table to match People (skills & interests) with available Projects (skills needed & different clients/topics). Any lessons/best practices learned out there? Cheers
Hi! We have a built out system on airtable but it is still clunky and not very streamlined. Would need the following: Assessment of current system - where do we have duplication? Are there links missing? How do we make it more user-friendly? How do we make dashboards and/or export data in a way that let’s us use other systems like tableau. Please message me your cost per hour and how you would accomplish these task (high level is fine).
Looking for someone that can design a visually pleasing input screen. Our Air Table views house about 200 fields.
I am looking to use Airtable as a tool to collaborate between professionals to deliver services on demand to owners of private businesses, artwork and other unique assets. I am just starting and I know what I would like but not how to do it. I am looking for both a one-time arrangement to set up the bases and an ongoing recurring relationship to oversee and maintain the bases. Also, after the initial set up, I would also like to see about integration with other programs we use. you can email me at m.erskine@erskineco.com
Hello there, I’m using Airtable as a stock system and I need a simple web interface and a counting script to help an automate some tasks. The purpose of the script is to get the total amount of items in stock + how many more need to be ordered. What is a bit complicated is the way the products are listed in our database. The structure of a product is as follows: Product01 -> Assemblies01-09 -> sub-assemblies -> raw material In the web interface, I would like to have have a form saying “How many products do you need?”, I put a number, the script loops through the different assemblies and components and outputs a nice order list. If you think you are up for it, we can go into more details :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks! Guy G
Apologies if this has been posted before but I need to generate a ‘sexy’ appearance for my meeting details. The table layout is too much detail and spread too widely, the Calendar is fine for previewing dates, but the expanded (extended?) view you get is too Duplo - fields are too tall, so lots of scrolling for detail. Setting up a Form or a Kanban View has the same problem - the Form view is back to Duplo style, and the Kanban involves too much scrolling. I just want: Title Venue picture Venue location Date (and, ideally duration - ie start and finish times) URLs for Web Facebook and Twitter links Contact details Other details like cost and timings -All set out closely -but legibly- together like an address label or a ‘for sale’ block in a newspaper. No editing options required - this would be display only, driven by entries from other views. This is just to set out a catalogue of what’s on offer, and allow folks to sign up if they’re interested. Has anyone achieved a ‘st
Wanted to share that my crew has found success wrapping Airtable forms in an Automator web pop-up. We use it for Creative Requests, and have added a custom icon, pushing the app to all Requestor’s docks. ChrisWrites.com – 29 Jun 12 Turn Any Website into an App with Automator - ChrisWrites.com Mac OS X makes it possible to launch webpages as standalone apps from Finder without the need to open Safari. This can be quite handy to get to websites quickly and does away with the usual Safari controls for bookmarking and entering web addresses.... A.
Need someone who can help us figure out how to link tables so that we can replace a photo in one table with another. Thanks. Coleen
I need to create an airtable report that looks something like this (currently a googlesheet) can discuss specifics, pay rate, etc if practical Wayne
Looking for help as follows: Form view captures simple data of works to be completed (Worksheet) Worksheet link is sent to 3 contractors to put a quote next to each work line. The jobs and quotes can then be sorted, by priority and cost. Contractor is awarded job, once job is finished contractor captures signature and job is rated good to bad to capture contractor work history Simply but a couple of complex areas that are out of my scope
From time to time I find myself moderating brainstorming sessions, and have been experimenting with the K-J technique. In most cases I have participants who are remote and therefore cannot use sticky notes. I have tried several experiments using Trello, but the limited voting capabilities and the need for authentication to do anything other than add comments is a showstopper. A fair fraction of the participants either won’t create an account, or find it too daunting to add cards. The ability to easily create forms that don’t require authentication is a huge boon for this. Furthermore, with a little gymnastics with formulae and counting, it’s possible to create interesting voting schemes: e.g. 3 points for your highest priority, 2 for the second, 1 for the third. Here is a simple example, with three separate forms. First, for participants to enter their names. Second, for them to enter answers to the focus question. Third, after discussion and creation of categories of answers, for them
I made a diagram explaining to myself what the capabilities of airtable are relative to whatever task I’m doing. And how airtable fits in the larger grand schemes of data management principles and heavy-data processing based tasks I ended up modifying it slightly gitpush / gitpull is just my abbreviations for subversion-control-push and subversion-control-pull
