Hello,I'm wanting to move from Trello to Airtable Kanban, but I have a few questions as I'm setting it up:1) I wanted to make the Primary Key Field to be my Task Name, however, if I do that then I am unable to *EDIT* the Task Name within the Kanban Interface. That's a bummer because I don't want to have to go back to the Table/Data view just to edit a card's title. Since that didn't work I tried #2 below:2) Just using "Autonumber" for my Primary Key Field, with the hope of hiding my Primary Key Field on the Card View and making the Task Name column the header on my Kanban Cards... but, when I'm customizing the way my "cards" display in the Interface Designer, it appears that I cannot remove the Primary Key Field from displaying... so I either have to have a meaningless number as the header, or an Task Name that's uneditable from the interface.How can I:Keep Autonumber from displaying on my Kanban Cards

I suspect this is not yet possible:I have three tables:one holding the details of 1000 students,a second holding details of 120 courses,and a third recording each placement of a linked student in a linked course.(The third is necessary because we need to be able to record and report on each student's academic record over 5+ years)Matching a student with a course is complex - there are about 10+ variables (age, interest, prior knowledge, day and time availability etc) so I need to filter both courses and students.I've tried using a list view of the placements table and adding a new record, but unless I can apply a filter to the linked student and course fields, matching a class with a student is hit-and-miss.Is there any way to apply a filter that limits selection from linked fields in a new record?I've also tried using a filter connected to a record picker. HelloI have two questions on airtable usage(1) An organization is planning to adopt Airtable for their workflow solution. As part of the requirements external users (like leads, service requestor) should be able to save information into airtable. Client is planning to use Airtable Forms to capture data from users in such a way that users should not identify that the data is going to be saved into Airtable (typically the airtable Form URL has https://airtable.com). Is there any way this can be obscured / changed without impacting the function. An alternate solution is to build a web app and have Airtable as underlying database. But this involves additional effort and maintenance. Please suggest best alternate(2) Can the airtable app built for desktop be used for mobile as well or it would require fresh development using airtable mobile app. I think there are many limitations in terms of features su

Can I preserve the previous state of an interface page while navigating between pages? My workflow involves frequent switching between pages, but the filters and record selections reset each time I leave a page.

Can I move an existing interface to a different group or do I have to recreate it in the new group? I made two interfaces and I want them each to have their own icon so I can easily distinguish the bookmarks on my bookmarks bar. Ideally I’d be able to give each interface within the group its own icon and color, but it looks like that’s only available at the group level.

So Ive got a manager performance survey form.  When employees answer the questions (all boolean true/false)  the question field is either checked or unchecked.  I've got 25 questions, and 25 fields.  (plus the primary field, which is the surveyee's name)Now I want to view the results in some meaningful way.  A nice a easy way to see if people generally approve of the manager.  But its like the whole system is set up to reference records, not fields.  When I go to set it up I get the person's name (anonymous#1 etc) in the x axis and the questions in the y axis.  I want questions in the x axis and the sum of true responses in the y axis.So how do I do this?  I need a new table where each question is a record?  But the form won't populate it properly right?  What am I missing here?

I have an interface to track our sales, and I group the results by "Source".Source is built in Customer Records, then linked into Quotes, from there it is linked into Sales. My data still shows grouping within Customer Records, but stopped displaying the data in my Sales graphs (it was displaying fine until 4/2). As you can see, the graph populates with the correct premium Y axis, but the data doesn't show up as it does in leads. When I deselect grouping by source, the data populates, but disappears when I group by source again. Any ideas?

I have an interface chart that displays bar data grouped by a "Linked Records" field. In the table where these records exist, I have color-coded entries in this field (it is a "Single Select" dropdown). Here are some things that I've noticed:(doesn't work) In the interface, if I group by this linked field, and choose "Use colors from base", then the data in the graph disappears (the axes remain, but there are no bars displayed, no elements in the legend). This is my main problem.(works) If I choose a "manual AirTable colormap", the bar graph shows up.(works) If I choose a non-linked Single Select field that also has custom colors, then the bar graph shows up with the appropriately colored lines.(works) If I make a bar graph from the records in the *original* table and use the same field, but now the original (non-linked) version, then the colors also show up appropria

I have searched and can't find an answer to this one.I am creating bar charts in one of my interfaces using a Look Up field, it won't return any data, it brings through the look up field lables in the X axis but no data comes through.  Am I doing something wrong or will Look Ups not work with charts within an interface?

Hi all, Thank you in advance for your help 🙂 I'd love to get some suggestions for removing all the labels at the bottom of this chart in one of my interfaces. It has got the dates as the x-axis. I can't find a way to remove the labels so they don't look cluttered. Any suggestions? 

Is there a way to create a view (grid view) that you can drag and drop records into with out having to use the "filter by"?

Hi,Loving the new interface designer, and itchy to update current interfaces to take advantage...but for some reason most of the existing interfaces seem to be stuck in the old designer - none of the new features (like easy user filtering, mini tabs or view toggle features) are available.Am I doing something wrong or will it just take some time to roll out to existing interfaces?

I created a record detail interface a while back to look at the details of our members. However, now that we have the record review interface, I'd like to convert it without deleting all of my hard work. Is there a way to "upgrade" the interface without having to redo everything?

Hello,I have this simple problem with filtering by date. When I try to filter Date - is within - past year I also got records from this year.Also If I try to filter Date - is within - past month I got only some of the records from the previous month.What am I missing here, please?

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is possible or if I'm approaching correctly the solution, but here it goes: I'd like to create some sort of dynamic filter that when I input a date, everything else in this table will update accordingly. The link records that won't meet the filter criteria will be excluded, therefore, updating the COUNT calculation and all related formulas. To give you more context about the base setup, there are two tables: TicketsSuppliersWhat you see in the screenshot above is the Suppliers table, which is aggregating all the tickets. Is there a way to exclude linked records based on a filter?Thanks everyone!

Hi all, Is there a way to auto populate a linked field (from a parent table) in the child table through Interface Forms?I have a parent table 'Projects'. Each record can be selected and viewed in Interface Designer. There, the collaborators can click on a button which takes them to a Interface Form which will create a record in child table 'Tasks'.Is there a way that, after clicking the button, system knows from which parent record the button is clicked and it auto selects the record from which the form is opened? 

Hey! This is driving me mad and I'm sure it's either: - I've been working on this for too long and I am overlooking the obvious / need a break- A bugContext: I have an interface where there are requests from form submissions. There is a 2 step approval process, where approvers should set a status by clicking a button. These users are "editors" in the interface, so permissions should not be the issue.When I "View As" / Preview as one of these approvers, I see that the buttons function correctly and I can set the statuses. Image below.  This approver though has a different view - they cannot click the buttons. I'm a bit at a loss for what to do in terms of troubleshooting. The tricky part is, there are 5 or so approvers, and ONE of them is able to interact with the buttons and set the status (calibrated

What is the purpose of the built-in line select checkbox in an interface using list view?  I can't find any reference to it or samples of its use.  Is it just a relic from the data view?

Hey there, Fairly simple, but building a chart based on form submissions. For this use case, we want to represent the level that someone is being promoted into. The way this is represented on the chart element has the "10" before 3, 4, 5, etc. and I cannot figure out how to rearrange this. Thanks! 

When I click on the "Interface" button I am guided to a page that has two links, "tell me more" and '"start building" but when I click on the "start building" button, I'm shown a graphic describing the three steps but no path from there to actually building a database. I notice that my top bar (see screen capture) is different from the one shown in the "how to..." video, FWIW

Hello there! Someone figured out a way to add a predefined horizontal line to a chart? I’m trying to create a dashboard in Interfaces and one of my charts could use a fixed horizontal line to indicate a threshold value I’ve been looking everywhere and I see no way of adding it to the chart Thanks!

I've got an interface showing a list of all customers who we are awaiting information from.How would I go about sending those customers an email, when I click a button to do so in an interface? I don't want to do it automatically when they enter a view because there's a manual review step beforehand.I thought I'd found a solution via the sendgrid extension but it looks like that's only possible via data tables, not interfaces. I also tried triggering an automation via a button click but I could only get that to work with the record picker (i.e. one record at a time), rather than in bulk.I feel like I'm not seeing a relatively obvious solution here!Any guidance appreciated.Thanks

Hi there,We currently have a candidate pipeline interface that looks like this:The numbers are based on a formula that outputs the stage based on the latest date set, so the 11 candidates in stage 2 all have the latest date added as 'Stage 2 start date'. As soon as we add a date to a candidate to 'Stage 3 start date', it will add take 1 of stage 2 in the interface and add 1 to stage 3. Here's the database view of that, where you can see the formula and the some example date fields: This works well, but: now we want to be able to add a filter where we select a date, displaying the pipeline from that date, so how many candidates on that day were in each stage.Does anyone have a clue how to get this, let's say, historical snapshot
