Interface Designer

Hello everyone,I am currently building a Dashboard to summarize a database with multiple revenue sources. Each of these revenue sources have a Start date and an End date, along with associated revenue calculations.I would like my Dashboard to summarize this and to allow me to place myself "within" a certain time frame.E.g I would like to see all the revenue that will be collected between January 1st, 2023, and January 31st, 2023.The problem is, some of the revenue sources are starting in December 2022 and ending mid-January,  whereas others are starting on January 28 and ending in March, etc...Is it possible for me to "scope" my Field Summaries element so that they only match a certain time range ?Thank you in advance !

At least let me re-order the interfaces that are listed.Right now it's as you create is the order that is displayedI really want interfaces that are related to each other to be next to each otherFor example New Contact at top, Lookup Contact and Activities EntryAnd the two Dashboards at the bottom.  

Trying to find a workaround for my client to be able to find and add the phone number of a Customer when they create a new Activities entry.I have already asked about pre-populating the Phone field when they select the Customer from the Contact element in the Activities form, and understand that this the form is pre-submitted so it can't do the auto-populate.Two tablesActivities (every time they interact with a Customer they w ant to document it - for billable reasons)Customer (All Customers get a base entry in this table, and what type of customer are they)I futzed around but ended up not being able to create the idea in the graphic below     It really seems like I may have to go back to doing website snippets to make this w

I separate data into multiple bases for ease of use, and team-split. However, I see Interfaces as a way to show data to the client (which could come from multiple bases). I don’t like having to share multiple Interfaces. Also, could Interfaces become a little bit as a customer login feature (as softr io allows)?

I would like a histogram of data from one of my bases to be publicly available, in real-time -- either on an airtable page or embedded in another webpage.I thought Interfaces would achieve this but it doesn't seem to allow fully public dashboards. Is there a way for me to make a chart of my data available to anyone on the web?

We are spending all morning desperately trying to find a way to get OUT of this hideous unwanted new interface view, and back to how things worked before.Our clients are furious at this change and our inability to revert it. We've literally spent a year in developing a product for a major client who now DOESN'T WANT IT because of this change.Does ANYONE here know how to revert this before we lose a major contract (nice timing Airtable, we're up for the 2nd year of development contracting)?We are incredibly concerned with our Airtable decision now, as this type of change means they will do it to us again and we'll end up in this situation with clients again.

Group by field is not showing a "Summary" in the interfaces graphs. Instead, show each individual record. It seems that it is a bug since the last update of Airtable, since before it worked without problems.The correct behavior that I expect is that when hovering the cursor you can see the total grouped by status and not the value of each record.

 Hi...........My logos are not loading on my extension forms. This has only started happening in the past week. i have been using Airtable since 2019 and this may have happened once before. When it happened previously I only had to reload the logos once and it never happened again until now. But once I reload them now they will last while I am using the platform but if it lies idle for a few hours the logos disappear. Please see attached picsI would really appreciate any input......thanks in advance  

Am I missing something or is it not possible for users to group inside an interface when using the grid view? I have filter, sort and search on the front end, but no group. I can only set the grouping as the interface designer. Anyone know how I can add this functionality? 

Making this note incase anyone else runs into this issue.As is listed on the Airtable website, there is a limit of 50 interfaces per base and 50 pages per interface. However, what is not made clear is what constitutes a "page". One might be mistaken to believe (understandably as I did) that "page" would be a "page" as is listed when you go to EDIT > "add page". (*sarcasm intended here)However, when in one interface I had 22 pages, my "add page" option suddenly greyed out. (see attached screenshot for reference). I tried to work with Airtable support on why this was happening, but they didn't seem to understand the issue and kept giving advice about record limits (which I am only using 3% of my 50,000 record limit and repetively explained to them that was not the issue I was asking about). But I won't comment on the unhelpful support beyond that.To help all of you who may be facing this same frustratingly bizar

Hi I am having consisted problem with interface for the past few days:in the interface filters it doesn't save the connected elements to the filters and I keep connecting doing "done " and "publish" but it keeps deleting connected elements!!!!! so i need to keep plugin in again and again! Please help

Hi,Our company sends individual table records to another company via an email for the Monday app which then automatically puts the data into their system.Since the latest airtable update on iphone, the app now sends emails as a link and not the visual data which was automatically inputted to their Monday system. Now the link asks them to sign into an Airtable account, thereby rendering the Monday app useless.Unfortunately this is a massive part of how our business runs, so does anyone have any info on how to rectify this and return the email data to the old system?The orders have to be sent via mobile too as people are out on-site and not at a computer.

DOUBLE SCROLL BARS IN INTERFACEI'm experiencing an annoying issue with the Airtable interface when creating a block list grid view. Specifically, I'm seeing a scroll bar in the block as well as a scroll bar for the page, which makes it frustrating and time-consuming to navigate long details.I've tried adding filters, but that's not an ideal solution. Is there a way to set up the interface to work on just a full-page scroll and not a block version?Additionally, I'm wondering if this issue will be addressed in an upcoming update. Are others experiencing the same issue? Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.Are you experiencing the same type of issue? 🤔 🤔 

I have a interface with a grid.  In the grid there is a single-select field.  When I preview as the collaborator intended to use this interface, i can add a new item or search from existing items in the single-select field. However when I publish this to the collaborator, they cannot add a new item.  I’ve checked all permissions and made everything editable - the collaborator is set as an editor, I’ve even shared the entire Table and republished the interface.

I need to duplicate an interface but i can only can duplicate a view inside the same interface, is there a way to duplicate the whole interfaace?

I'm coming from Trello because I don't like how limited it felt. What I did like was that each card (project) had a list of activity where a user can post what they did on the project in plain text. I'm trying to do something like that, but not sure how to go about it.The easiest solution I could think of is a one-to-many inked table with long text field and a reference to the Project table. But, now how do I go about putting together an interface. None of the options I find seem to be as fluid as I'd like. And frankly I need to be able to convince my coworkers Airtable is a better project manager than Trello.

Hello! So I've started to use the Interface feature of Airtable. It works quite well for me and my team. Now I'm at the point where I want to deny access to the views that the Interfaces are built upon. How can I do this? And is it possible to only restrict access for some colleagues? The reason for this is that some of my colleagues tends to keep using the views instead of the Interfaces which is quite an issue since a lot unwanted stuff can happen that way. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey,between yesterday and today something happened and our users suddenly lost access to part of the data visible through an interface. For example inventory data is visible, but product data is not although you can see product details by opening an inventory item and looking at the linked records.I suddenly got it to work with a user by creating a new page linked to product table and creating a copy of the original product table-linked page. Then I tried removing the copy and the new product info page duplicate and it didn't work. When I tried to do this again, it didn't work.I also was able to get it working by giving the user base access, but we don't want to do this for various reasons. We want them to be able to see the data through the interface, edit it through the interface but not have access to the raw base data.I created a copy of the original interface and invited the user, but it doesn't work (same error, only inventory visible not product pa

Hey All, I really appreciate the help. I have a table tracking operations data by day. The shop loads the data each day via a form and I track on a dashboard showing production over the last 30 days. Each day the report rolls forward 1 day. It’s a great simple view of our world. I’m trying to show month over month numbers on the same dashboard. In my mind I need to pull the production from the day’s record from 28 days prior to every record in the table so the dashboard can sum the data from the [28 days ago] field. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to pull this data into each record in the same table. It needs to happen automatically. Optionally, if there’s a way to setup the dashboard to pull a different filtered set of data on a single element unaffected by the page filter, that might work too. Thanks for the help.

Hello, I may have missed the answer to this because I am not fully versed in airtable speak yet, but are interfaces only viewable by folk who have an airtable account? If so, is there a way around it? I love the interface feature but not everyone on my team has airtable. thanks

Until very recently, I was able to delete rows of data via an interce list but the option seems to have disappeared? I've not changed any settings, and the other options in the dropdown are the same - the only difference is the option to delete is no longer there! (see pic)Does anybody know what's going on and how to fix?

Hi,We have large number of records and fields. We have added filters and hidden fields to reduce the loading time data tables. But our interface seems to be loading still.Is there any option to reduce loading time in interfaces. We are using Airtable PRO plan.ThanksArun

In the "New: Record templates" it shows a clip (screenshot below) with a button to add a "Goal" (new record) using a Record Template. I cannot figure out how to do this in Interface Designer.How do I make such a button to use a Record Template in Interface Designer?The ONLY way I've figured out how to create a new record using a Record Template is with the "Record picker" element. This isn't truly ideal because it's an extra step + search for the user versus the button as the announcement shows.
