Hi.I would like to point that Comments and Revision history are a great feature that makes Airtable excellent collaborative tool, but they should be available in the same form on Interfaces like on Bases.My team switched from Bases to Interfaces and first thing they noted that is missing is the Revision history and ability to choose between watching and not watching comments.We are exited to see this features on Interfaces soon.

Hi! We’re trying to make a customer facing interface. The basic idea is that based on the clients last name and unique code (inspired by miniextensions portal), the client can only see records related to them. The issue we are having is as follows: Users can change the filter types at any point (‘is’ and ‘=’) When the filter values are empty, it is possible to see ALL records and thereby raises a privacy issue. Our interface looks like this: Our questions: Is there any way where you can override a filter? For example, initially the filter set on the ‘Record Picker’ elements allows no records to show, and then when the front-end filter is used, it overrides the internal? If not, is this on the roadmap? Is there a way you can lock in the filter types? I understand that interfaces are still in beta testing, so

I'm consistently getting an error when using an Interfaces List View. When I want to create a record from a list view I'm trying to use the "add record" (or in my case add tasks) button at the bottom of the list.However I continue to get an error "You are not permitted to perform this action." Which doesn't make sense as I'm the creator of both the base data views and the interface. Am I missing a setting that will allow me and my fellow Interface Editors to create tasks directly from within the List in the interface?  

Not sure I even know how to ask this question... hopefully screen shots will help..I have two tables Clients and Contacts. I'm trying to figure out how to edit the new contact screen that comes up when I add a new contact from a Client record as below:1. When I add a new client I want to then add a new contact so I click on the new contact button below:2. And I get the usual list. but the contact is new so I click the new contact button at the bottom:3. And get this screen below which doesn't have half the fields I need.How do I edit this screen?   

Hi Community,I have a todo list with due dates.I also have a view sorted by due date with all todos for the specific todos.If I create an email send out to me every due date eve, it sends for each todo an email. same with the designer, if I want to print.How can I get all todos for one due date in one email / print (list).? Thank youTobi

Is there a way to have bar chat values display on the chart itself the way it does in something like Google Datastudio or Tableau?

I am building an interface for Contact records and their respective Notes. There doesn't seem to be an issue as long as I use the same page to display both. However, if I use a separate page to show the Notes I don't see a way to keep the Notes relative to the current Contact record. How can accomplish this need? Is there a better way to design this use case?Thanks!

Hi everyone!I have some issues with a table in interface. When i select a record in a replicated table in Interface the preview have only have a list on the name of the records. (img1)Instead of when i select the data directly from the database. This is important for me because sometimes there are records with the same name but with different details (ie. color of a fabric) (img 2)There are ways to make the selection of the details identical? 

Is there any way to have a button in a record that opens an interface for that record? The purpose is to have a more efficient view than just expanding a record in the table.

Hi everyoneMain carousel image is not showing on one of my interfaces. When you click the image to open it, it displays fine. Is there any way to fix? 

I'm trying to fix a field that should show 'outstanding requests'. This displays information from a linked record field which has the setting 'limit selection to a view'. This view filters out completed/archived requests, leaving only those that are current.However, both in the in the field and in the interface that draws from the field, all the completed/archived requests still show (as well as the outstanding ones).  Other linked record fields that draw from a filtered view work fine (e.g. 'current development'). I can't figure out what's going on. Does anyone have any ideas? 

Hi! First post here - I am loving Airtable and what I have created. I only have a few people with access to our base - everyone else is using interfaces.I granted a few people "Interface-only commentor", based on this support document (Interface Designer permissions (airtable.com)) They can "comment on interfaces", but I can't find what that means? what are they able to comment on and where? I was thinking that it would allow them to select drop down, check boxes, etc. However; they aren't able to. So what can they do with this access? I was trying to get a group of 11 to be albe to "sign-off" on a part of the process. Thoughts on how to accomplish this? (think grid view - more than one person might need to sign off on a line) I am still buidling my workflow, but have people in and working in it at the same t

Hello, I've created an automation that is (or planned to be) triggered by an interface button.However when adding a button in the interface designer, and choose the 'Run Automation' option, the button 'Source' field doesn't populate with any table name.Please Advise. 

I have a base with multiple tabs that have links between them. Tab 1 is Digitization Projects. Tab 2 is Scheduling.Tab 2 Scheduling is made up of individual task records. Each of these links back to a project record on Tab 1. The individual task records on Tab 2 all have start and end dates.From within the Record Summary Interface, I want to be able to select a single Digitization Project (from Tab 1), and have a timeline element display only the records and dates (from Tab 2) that are linked to that project.I have not been able to figure out how to filter things to allow this. Right now, it shows me ALL the records from Tab 2, whether or not they're associated with the Digitization Project (from Tab 1) that I've selected in the Record Summary Interface.Screenshots attempting to illustrate below. It looks like it might not be possible to create a form that accesses a linked table, then creates a tertiary record per attached.

Hi! I’m creating an interface for my client using the record review. When viewing one of the records’ linked records, it unfortunately shows all fields of that linked record, includin those I have hidden in the linked records views. To make it more practical: I created a brand review (record review). Every brand shows their respective deals (linked records). When I expand one of the deals it shows all of the deals, this is not so in the table view. This behavior is only in the Interface. Is this a bug? Is there a solution. I really don’t want my client to see all the hidden fields in this interface view.

Loving the new lists hierarchy feature. So Awesome! This is great for creating task lists for my team, while allowing to show additional project info about each task list. Love it. This works in most scenarios except....I have a dashboard page in my interface that has a filter in place that shows only tasks for the current user that are due today. This is a visible filter element because I want users to be able to adjust that timeline as they see fit. For users to be able to check off tasks as complete I also need to make the element editable, which is fine, but then this gives users the option to add tasks, also fine.... except: My problem is that these tasks then get filtered out automatically before a user has the chance to fill the whole row of info. There is a warning that says it will filter once you click a new row, but it filters when clicking on any field within the new record. I have a lookup field on my clients table that lets me know what type of service they received. This is a lookup from a multiselect (the client can get more than one type of service in a single session). I need a pie chart to show me how many clients received specific services. Is there a way to filter out only the categories that I want from the lookup field?Ex:Client----ServiceSam -----Zoom, Customization, TrainingEd ------- Training, Customization I want a chart with only Customization and Training numbers

Never have I faced such an illogical design decision in recent memory. I'm furious. I got an email saying that something was wrong with their interface and they couldn't view certain linked records, which is when I found this change. I can't even find the email where you guys talked about this.  I designed interfaces, and with some update they are all broken. Expanding a record takes you to some random view used from another element in the design, instead of the table's view that it is sourcing from that you're trying to expand (just like evvvvery where else in AT). Why the heck isn't it using the view from the source table in the element? I have to redesign all interfaces because of this, and each table that is attached to it. It's like starting from scratch, all over again. And, with multiple views, I have to hand design that for each one because they can't simply be duplicated.  And don't get me talking about the snapping and resizi
