Hi, I am using an attachment field and looking to upload the attachments from a shared Google Drive. I saw a previous post about this saying it was not possible yet. However, since it become possible to sync from a shared Google Drive some time ago, I’m wondering if it’s now also possible to attach a doc from a shared Drive ? Thanks !

Hi there, I am using the Matrix blocks and would like to just hide the “(empty)”, but show the remaining columns that may or may not have values. If I check the box to hide the empty rows, it also hides columns without data in them. I’d like to just hide the “(empty)” column/row when there is no data. The rest of the actually empty columns/rows I’d like to keep so I can show that we indeed don’t have anything in that matrix. See example

Hi everyone! I’m trying to work with the Vega-Lite extension to show sums of values in multiple fields in a stacked bar chart, but I haven’t been able to get a stacked bar graph to work correctly without manually creating a new “data” array of objects with values. For example: I’d like to be able to show something like “Jim worked for 0.5 hours on checking emails, 2 hours on code reviews, 1 hour on development, and 1.5 hours on assisting coworkers, for a total of 6 hours” as a stacked bar chart, where Jim has each number of hours as a different field on the table for a total of 4 fields and 4 bars stacked. Is this possible with Vega-Lite’s integration with Airtable, or even Vega-Lite as a whole? Or am I limited in either how many fields I can stack or how the table data is formatted? How can I do to change the primary key in a table from a field to another one?

I'm I missing something or does the mobile app (iOS) ignore view information in Airtable url links? Scenario: I setup QR codes to pull up records in specific view for updating assets. On a web browser it works perfect but on the mobile app it always opens in whatever view was last used on that device and ignores the view referenced in the link. Also, is there no way to input/search on the mobile app via QR(camera), have to leave app switch to camera scan, then it reloads app very slow process forced to walk around with a laptop or use another tool to collect then upload, update via script

I just spent an half an hour writing up a question with a lot of details and I get this error: Authentication Failed.Ticket Mismatched. When I submitted the post.I know that bugs still love me (Spent 25 years in SQA and I don't even have to try and bugs find me).  But I lost my entire post for no apparent reason.  And given that drafts auto-save - I would have thought I would have been able to return to the draft form, nope the link sent me to the Interface Community space.SIGH. 

Hello,I am having a table in Airtable that contains a text field with dates. I imported a CSV files. And all dates were added as text field in a wrong format (MM/DD/YY). So I am basically looking for a way to: Convert these text date field to a real date field that is next to the column (so Column 1 with the text based date value should be copied to Column 2 with a date field)And in another column I want to change the date format (also text based) from MM/DD/YY to DD/MM/YYYY.How can I do this? Thanks for help, M.

I am using a customized version of the Employee onboarding Template base. The template seems to be set up to duplicate the base for every new hire that is being onboarded. I would like to use one base that generates a checklist for the employer onboarding tasks every time a new hire is created (I have a synced table with new hire records). I thought maybe I could use the new record templates feature, but the problem I'm encountering is that just linking tasks means that I can't use the "Complete" checkbox because it applies to the task record, not the task for a specific new hire. I hope this makes sense. Can anyone advise on how to make it so that everytime a new hire record is created, a series of tasks are created for that new hire specifically that can be used as a dynamic checklist?

I have some Airtable view URLs (all from the same table) that I copied from Safari on my Mac. (https://airtable.com/BaseID/TableID/ViewID). When I tap the links on my iPhone, they correctly open the Airtable iOS app to the appropriate table, but never the correct view. It always goes to the last used view in the app. The links work fine in a desktop browser. Is this a bug with the iOS app? 

Hi, I am trying to find a solution to enhance the experience of the user while filling up the form and also get the right information. Objective: User needs to see information of default payment terms when they select the desired agency in the forms. Then they will be required to select the payment terms they desire. They should be able to select the default or something different. If they select something different than the default option, they should give the reason why.Functionalities that might solve: Add the look up field in the form - that will show when the 'link to another record' is selected; Functionality of creating a conditional filed if 2 fields are different.If there is another workaround/solution, please let me know. How do I create s drop down list for a certain field, but as users fill in the table, they should only be able to use the options I selected on the drop down list, but not be able to add new options. How do I do that?

Hi all, I'm creating a sign up form where organizations can select what region they offer services to. This corresponds to a list of counties per region and "lives" a linked record in my table of organizations. It's working great, but I'm wondering if it's possible to then create another form for the organizations to fill out about individual services where I ask them what county this service is offered in, but instead of seeing a full list of all possible counties, they only have to choose from the narrowed list of counties from the region they selected when they signed up. Right now, this service offering form is a global form for all of the organizations, and the user for the form has to select the relevant organization. I'm thinking that maybe that's why the narrowed-down county list isn't populating in the form, but I could be wrong. Does anyone have a similar setup or have any ideas on how to make this happen? I've just successfully and easily created a new tab using Google Drive integration. That folder was full of photos and the tab is perfect. I need to do a similar thing with a folder full of PDF documents. Each time I try I get the message "no items in this folder" - but of course there are 200+ items in the folder. Any ideas? I can't imagine that the integration can't cope with PDFs. Advice appreciated.

I like the idea of the new "data library" feature, but I can't seem to get it to work.  I've made a data set, published and verified it, but when I try to add it into another base I get the error message, "The data set is no longer available. Please choose a different data set."  Even though I've only just published it!  Anyone else having the same problem?

I have a grid view in my base shared with a specific group of people, it includes all records with a date/time within five days in the future AND all records in the past.For easy viewing and sorting, is it possible to group the records into two groups:Group 1: all records dated for today and five days in the futureGroup 2: all records to date before today.Is this possible?

I'm building out a base for our ecommerce team where were sharing and organizing updated product iconography. However, in either a grid or gallery view, the attachments are not showing previews. These are small files (less than 100k) and have tested PNG, SVG and JPG formats with the same result, just a generic image icon. Clicking into the icon opens a pop-up frame that shows the image against a charcoal background (not great for transparent PNGs) so the files are there and apparently intact - just not showing on a grid or gallery view. Any ideas? 

Why this very important feature only available for Enterprise plan? Does anyone know when will this available to other plans?

TL;DR - trying to determine best way to notify users as new locations come online within their specified location radius. More context: I created Charity Makeover and am in process of building an Airtable app to enable people in other cities to run these events. It’s similar in concept to Startup Weekend only focused on building stuff for local charities. I’m essentially looking to replicate some of the functionality of Meetup in that I want to give prospective volunteers the ability to get notified when a new Charity Makeover event happens within their locale. My question is: is there a simple way to accomplish this type of pub/sub setup with geolocation or does it need to be created from scratch? I’ve been researching terms like geofencing and proximity-based notifications to try and find some SaaS based way of accomplishing this rather than developing it. I have to imagine this is a common need with geo-based searches… Haven’t found a “packaged” way to do it yet so am now going do

Hello, all! First time asking here since usually I read through all possible solutions for my problems before posting a question.The last time I made a form was prior to the current updated interface. I had some old databases that I duplicated so I don't need to create new setups and forms. However, when I edited my old form I saw that I had disabled it prior. But now I could not find the setting to re-enable the form despite being able to generate new links for it. The only way for me to make a working form is to make a new one from scratch.Was this feature removed from free plans or is it a bug? Thanks!
