I’m wondering about a strategy to help us manage our Airtable base. We have one table (Pets) that now has around 25,000 records from the past 3+ years. As that table is getting rather large, we’d like to come up with a way to keep that table a bit smaller and more nimble - basically, move records that are more than one year old over to a new table (we’ll call that Archived Pets).Guessing that there are a few parts to this strategy….1) Set up the new table (Archived Pets) in our base that will have all of the same fields as the current table (Pets). Any easy way to do that?2) The first move of all the pets that are currently in Pets that are older than one year3) Setting up the automation that would check every day for pets that are older than one year, and then move those records over to the Archived Pets tableAny help on how to do this - or is there a better way?
HiI've seen a few questions regarding workload but I feel they haven't addressed the problem I'm trying to solve.I have multiple tasks within multiple projects I'm running. Each task has an effort in days/hours, a start date and an end date on the timeline.I want to make sure that on average I don't put too many things in parallel. I'm trying to approach this the same way that Monday and ClickUp are approaching this:The effort per day = total effort divided by the number of days between start and end date. So a 1 day task would have all the effort in it. 2 days task would be effort/2, 5 days = effort/5 etc...Now here's the problem I'm facing.I want to make sure, for each day, that the total amount of average effort per day for that day doesn't exceed a preset amount.Let's say I have on average 4 free hours without meetings etc... I can schedule a task that is 4 hours just for that day, or prolong that task for 4 days and add another 3 hours task for that day.I understand that I ca
Hi,I want to send forms to end users, using a link sent via mail.the link contains data that should be uploaded to the form with info relevant to specific users.I created the URL to the form successfully, but when I send the mail, the user receives it as a text and not hyperlink.the link to the form is very long, so I suspect that this is the reason it doesn't become active.Any Ideas on how to approach this issue?ThanksNitai
I seem to remember reading somewhere that Airtable takes the local date settings from your computer for it's default formats. I.e. here in New Zealand, we represent date "DD/MM/YY," where as "MM/DD/YY" seems to be thing in America. Most of the time, Airtable uses the DD/MM/YY format. However, I occasionally run into an issue where writing formulas with dates (e.g. "if this happens before 01/10/2023, then this"). It seems in formula (and I guess perhaps script) functions of airtable, it only interprets american formats. Is there a way to manually override this as an account setting, so I don't have to figure out why my new formula isn't working each time? (It happens infrequently enough that it's usually a ten minute problem to figure out - and isn't very friendly to my colleague who uses airtable far less often but might need to play with a formula I've made).
Hi, is it possible to add customised actions onto the right-click menu on Airtable? For example, one of my columns has email addresses listed. I would love to be able to right click and hit an option like ‘Find on HubSpot’, which would just create the search query URL with the email address in question in a new tab to save me having to copy and paste a lot through the day. Currently it has options for Insert, Expand, etc…
All Gantt views in my base are currently erroring right when I open them and continuing to error if I dismiss or refresh. I have cleared cache and browser data, updated browser, reinstalled chrome and restarted the pc multiple times. It was working perfectly until yesterday afternoon. Has anyone else experienced this or a similar issue? I rely heavily on these Gantt views for my base.
Hey there.... using the latest version of Google Chrome, and for some reason the manual reorder function within an expanded set of records no longer seems to be working for me. Previously, if I opened up a field and I didn't like the order of the entries presented, I could "grab" them and resort them to my preference. Now nothing happens when I hold my mouse button down, and the only action I'm able to take is to fully open any particular entry by clicking on it.Is this happening to anyone else?
I’ve been working on a base with multiple tables as well as using some Zapier integration. Without going into too much detail, I want to create records in a table with records from another table, but with some updates. The two most important fields is the “ID” field and the “Events” field. Basically, if a user enters an ID and 5 as the number of “events” into the previous table, another table would automatically update with ID appended with 1-5. So 5 records each appended with numbers 1 through 5. For example: Table 1: ID: 123 Events: 5 Table 2: ID: 123.1 ID: 123.2 ID: 123.3 ID: 123.4 ID: 123.5 (5 Separate records) Is there any way to do this with airtable and zapier? I have tried many different types of zaps and even some scripting but I can’t figure anything out. Thanks!
Hi! I've been an Airtable user for quite some time, but recently my team has started to adapt their workflows to the platform, which means a lot of Excel spreadsheet imports. One issue we've come across is not being able to access the comments made on an excel document once imported to Airtable. Are there any workarounds to keeping these comments after import? That's one important aspect my team doesn't want to lose when moving over. Thank you!
I have tried now several times to contact sales regarding this issue and no response. I was wandering if Airtable had any sort of PII certifications or anything related to that. What about being HIPPA Compliant?
Are seats the same thing as users? For example, if I invite someone to a table as a commenter, does that count against a seat, or do they have to be a collaborator on the whole base? How does that work?
Cannot Download via Mac airtable AppI am using version 1.6.3 (3)
Hey y'all! Some fields were deleted in table-1 of base-1. I then created a snapshot of base-1 from before the changes were made, let's call that base-2. How do I copy/move the good data from base-2 table-1 INTO base-1 table-1? I'd like to do this without changing any table IDs that could impact downstream usecases. Any pointers? Thanks in advance!Harpal
Hello, I have a zap that checks for an email. I have two fields - primary and secondary emails. The zap only searches for one field. Is there a way to search multiple fields? There’s this advanced formula https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/218151657#formula But I don’t know the syntax for something like search x AND y. I tried this but it didn’t work: {Email}OR{Email 2}="{{42033181__output}}" Thanks, Kahlil

I have a calendar view in one of my bases. I went to share view, sync to an external calendar and copied the link. I sent this link to a user via text. I had the user right-click and select copy from the text message. I then had her go into apple calendar, calendars, add calendar, add subscription calendar, paste the URL in the subscription URL field and click on subscribe. She then gets the message "Validatioin failed. Please edit the URL and try again" I tried the same steps at the same time she did in my own calendar and it worked fine. What could the issue be?
Hey there! As I am new to using Airtable, I am wondering how I can link multiple records with the same value to a record in a different table. Let me be more specific below.I have two tables:1. New Users (A list of unique new user that started using an application)2. Guide views per visitor (A table with records that record every single in-app guide view, progress, date, etc.)In the Guide views per visitor table it is possible for there to be multiple records of the same user, for instance when person A has seen guide X (record 1) and guide Y (record 2). Ultimately, I would like to showcase which guides every new users has seen in a column in the New Users table. Would love to hear how and if I will be able to do this through linking records or automation?
In the Airtable Admin panel..if I go to Bases > Collaborators for any base, click "+Add Collaborators" I can see a specific group, it shows them as a group icon and with the amount of people in that group.. but when I go into the Group admin panel that group doesn't show up at all.. is there anywhere else inside Airtable homepage or Admin panel to find other groups to edit/remove?

For calendar events (google/microsoft): I want to have the following fields. -last time I had a calendar invite with someone -last time I invited them to an event -last time they came to my event How would I automate/formulate this so it appears on my CRM? Thanks in advance for your help!
Under "Product ideas", there're a whopping 270 pages of ideas for Airtable to consider and/or implement. Idea statuses: "considering" = 0; "in development" = 0 ... Why do we even bother?
Hello Community,We send forms written in French to our clients. If the client's automatic translator is activated on French, our form is still translated in French by google and introduces French mistakes. It seems that Airtable forms are automatically processed by translator as English instead of French. Is there a way to fix this?
