Hi there, I’m trying to setup a data base for a Webflow project and I need the following to happen. As you can see on the image above, I have a column for cities, and another for city ID. Both are dropdowns including different options where only 1 can be selected. The city column includes things like London, New York, etc. and the columns City ID has an ID that is associated with a city. Is there a way to link both columns so that when I select London from the City column, automatically selects the ID in the City ID that is associated with London? Thanks

I have a base with all our members and there details in. In one field we have numbers, in the other field we have a field with a Formula that works out the membership number. Our membership changes and sometimes people leave. When they leave we delete them from the Base. When we delete the row they are in, the numbers all change again, and this changes all the existing member numbers. Is it possible to delete a row but not change the other rows numbers.

We created a form to survey responses from our partners. We were able to translate the questions and directly put the translated versions in the survey. However, it seem parts of the automated messages that are pre-filled that is sent can not be translated. Is there a way to translate it? See attached for reference. Thank you!

Hello, I am currently looking for an inventory management system for my business. I fulfill all orders myself from my warehouse. I do about 2500 shipments per month and hand writing inventory has become a pain. I am currently looking in to ecomdash for the inventory management but they do not offer integration with UPS, which I absolutely need as most of my items are larger in size and heavy. Is there any program/site that allows… 1- Inventory management and syncing across multiple channels. (ebay, amazon, sears, magento, rakuten) 2- the ability to create shipping labels with ups, fedex,post office and update back to channel with tracking information. I even checked Inventory management video for more information but did not find much. Ecomdash seems to be the closest I have found but no UPS integration. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

How do I add a hyperlink to AirTable? For instance, I am making a table to include stories I’ve created online. I want to just include the title of the story and hyperlink it. I saw an answer that said go to the hover ui and click the icon on the left. I have no idea what that means. Don’t know what hover ui is or where to see the icon. Thank you!

Hello! I was wondering is there a way to do what this screenshot shows with a formula? I want to use the output of that formula to update an automation to change a single select field to show when the project is due. We can’t use the color feature anymore because we are trying to switch over to interfaces and unless I completely missed it, there isn’t a way to have the color feature on a record review interface. Any help would be great!

Hey folks! I’m new to Airtable and am trying out some stuff. As you can see I have a column per month (I know this isn’t ideal but this is how stakeholders want it). Now I want to use some logic to only show months that are in the future. So my question is if I can somehow reference the field names (like Jun 2023), convert that to a date and work with it in a formula field? Any input is welcome! I have an airtable we use for my wife’s online resale business. Our item numbering consists of a letter to indicate the department (Men-M, Women-W, Kids-K, Electronics-E). We also have a number to indicate the category (1- Accessories, 2-Shoes, etc…). Lastly is a number that is added which I can do with autonumber. I would like to use a formula to generate this number automatically, but need help turning the category into the corresponding number as the form is set up with a single select that has the category names. Since the the Letter I use for each department is always the first letter, I used the left formula to get the letter I need. I can use concatenate to put the pices together, but need to convert my category names into the appropriate number that I use for them in the item #. An example is W12-2 is Women’s department, 12 stand for the shoes category, and the 2 is the 2nd pair of shoes that were entered into inventory. i have a table called MetonicAppFileK which a number of fields including today’s date, which ive called GregDate. One of the fields in the table shows the Metonic Year for each day called MetNo. i would like to select records based on the value of MetNo for today;'s date GregDate. So i first need to find the MetNo for today’s date. then select all records with the same MetNo. any idea how i would do this?

Hey, I have been using airtable for a while and I’m confused… I have email set as a field on a form but I’m getting this message and thus the email field won’t appear on the form… However the email field is an “Email type” entry field, not read only, so I dont understand why I can’t have it as a user input field…

Mac App has broken since the major UI refresh. No option to login. Error message: We’re sorry, but you don’t have permissions to access this page. You need to have “owner” permissions in order to access the workspace account page. You can ask your workspace’s owner to give you these permissions if you need them. Emailed support but 4 days passed and no solution. Downloaded the latest version from the website, still the same behavior. Any suggestions?

I’m creating an employee directory and I’d like to have a record (cell) display an emoji or change colors one week before that person’s birthday. Has anyone figured out how to do that?

We have a time tracker, but it just tracks the actual time and adds onto it. We want to track how much time we spend on each task each day and each week. Is there an easy way to do that or do we need to set up a table that is linked up to that.

Hello! I have a table for “teams” and a table for “tournaments”. There is a linked field between the two. I want to create a button in a Glide app for my end user that allows them to “Register” their team for a specific tournament, but I can’t find a straightforward way to update a linked field to add a linked record that doesn’t clear out existing linked fields. Example: When the administrator for the red team clicks a button on the tournament page, this tournament is added to their team’s list of tournaments in the “tournament” field and vice versa. Because a team can register for multiple tournaments and tournaments can have multiple teams, I want to update this linked field without clearing out existing records in these fields. Is this possible?

Are you able to link records to a new base and make them editable? I want to create a base where an external team can collaborate on a project that I track on my internal base. Any suggestions?

Hi all! I’m using Airtable as a repository for a bunch of business data and am starting to think about how I present that data back to parts of our business so that we can make decisions from it. To do that, I’m imagining creating a few different dashboards that use various segments of the data. Each dashboard will need different charts and tables that are based on the data (sometimes straight up, sometimes in aggregate – e.g. added across days). Ideally, I can somehow manage permissions across those reports, so that certain users can see some reports but not others. I’ve tried using Airbase’s Interface Designer (too limited in terms of data presentation) and Data Studio (super slow and janky). Has anyone else been able to achieve something like this?

Hi, Have anyone get calendar’s external sync (iCal) working with android app “iCal import/Export Pro” ? It seems that 95% of the syncs Airtable returns to the app “Page not found” web page, instead of ICS data. Have anyone get this work ?

Hello, I currently create event schedules like the following in Excel, with hour of day going down, stage names going across, and event blocks sized accordingly based on time length. This is a fairly manual process right now to change this schedule each day. I edit each cell with new event details, change size of the block to match the event timeframe via merging cells, and then color code the block according to the stage. My dream would be to enter in event data e.g. artist name, time frame, and corresponding stage, in an easy-to-fill form / database, and have it auto-create a view similar to the screenshot above. Is this possible with Airtable? Or any other ways Airtable can make the current process less manual? Thank you.

Is there anyway to sync my contacts in Airtable with my Office365 Exchange Global Address List (GAL)? I use a lot of “external” contacts in my Office365 Exchange Global Address List (GAL) to create different distribution lists. Right now if my contact updates their email/phone/etc., I have to update it in Airtable, then go to my exchange contacts online and update the info there as well. Thanks for any advise! Nick
