Hi Airtable Community, I’m looking to figure out a way to create my team’s baseball lineups in Airtable and have grouped by date. I’m looking to duplicate the entire lineup and update the date field (upcoming game) all at once. Is there a way I can do this or add an automation? Below shows you how I’m looking to duplicate all the records for 9/25 and create a duplicate data set, but for 10/2. Thanks for the help!
I’m having trouble coming up with a formula that chooses the earliest of up to 12 dates with times. I’ve seen other questions that are similar but this involves times too. The Time 1 … Time 12 variables are from a lookup in another table. They might be blank. MIN( VALUE(DATETIME_PARSE({Time 1},‘MMDYYYY hh:mm’), VALUE(DATETIME_PARSE({Time 2},‘MMDYYYY hh:mm’), VALUE(DATETIME_PARSE({Time 3},‘MMDYYYY hh:mm’… ^ Fails. Thanks!
I am building a document automation app. My staff will enter client information into a form which is uploaded into Airtable. Form there, formulas will build the parts of the document and, ideally, dump them into Formstack (Webmerge). My problem comes in that when this happens, the formatting is lost. The formulas that I create for this purpose have html tags such as: <h1>, etc. The word document has these headers defined. Formstack has field mapping turned on and I have included some of their code for formatting. For instance {$variable} becomes {$variable|html2office}. Other than bolding one of the header lines, no other formatting pulls through and in the generated document, all of the lines reflect “normal” style. The document I am generating (estate planning documents) will need a number of different levels, section numbers, etc. Is there a better way to do this? I really do not want to dump all of the possible formulas into the word document and unnecessarily cause that file
Hello everybody! I was wondering is there a way to make it so that airtable and chose a record randomly?
Is there a way to set up a lookup field without duplicates?
For example we do surveys to our schools, and they have multiple choices as to how to answer the questions. We want to pull data based on how many students answered a specific way to a specific question. We created the questions as fields and sent the forms out. So like: “How often do you come to class prepared?” and the answers are “Never” “Sometimes” or “Often” and we would like grab what % of the students answered “Never” or “Often” etc… End result would be a pie chart that has the questions and the % of students that answered “Often” Very Often" etc… any help pulling the data as a sum or even a percentage would be AMAZING!
:smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I’ve heard many folks in this community are working independently on projects for clients to make super awesome custom solutions. Airtable is great for this! :star_struck: I’m looking for anyone interested in broadening their skills to collaborate on an application. We’re a start-up nonprofit with an idea I think will be huge for organic, local community building. :muscle: We could sure use your help! More info in the linked thread below. Hello, I’ve seen a few forums on here that address something similar but none that exactly addresses my issue or gives a clear answer. I have a series of price entries in a table called RFQ/PO Items. I have a Lookup on a table called Supplier SKUs that looks up each of the prices on the RFQ/PO Items table. I have a Lookup on the Supplier SKUs table that looks up each of the Dates on the RFQ/PO Items table. I have a Roll-up on the Supplier SKUs table that looks at the MAX(values) to return the latest Date from RFQ/PO Items. What I’d like to have is something that let’s me see just the latest Price. So, if there are three prices, $5, $8, and $6 on 1/1/2022, 2/1/2022, and 3/1/2022, respectively, I would like the rollup to return the value “$6”. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello, In the timeline view is it possible to display in the summary bar in use mode utilization a color when an employee is unavailable Merci beaucoup for your help Franck
I have tried to add 100 options to multiple select questions in Air table Form. Is there any tips in how to do it quickly?
Hi, I’m a developper, and new to airTable. Wondering what other developers are using to build stuff with airTable. My client has a lot of data, and it is really messy. His employee are using airtable for ‘front end’ so my goal is to keep that this way. I would like to make my rest API to sort bases, lists and records in the client specs that somehow be re-injected/ deployed within airtable, in fresh new base, I might create a front end app later but that’s not the goal at this time. I have seen that, I you can create script within bases, or the airtable api there is a write back into airtable, which I understand that you need to run the app whenever you want to update ? or maybe create an automation from it ? thank you
Hello everybody i’m looking for a very simple script that would by ran with clicking on a button field in one table i would like to duplicate the record and to set the “date” field to tomorrow i would really appreciate some help thanks
Looking for a work around to the below, or if not currently possible please consider this to be a feature request! As far as I understand it, the way that fields are organized & viewed when a record is expanded from within the Org Chart extension are linked to the “topmost” view for that respective table. I would like the way that these fields are organized to be linked to the view that is controlling that org chart extension. The connected view already drives the filtering, and the way that records are organized at a given level for that org chart, thus it seems logical to me to also have the field organization driven by that view. I am working with a base that has multiple org chart extensions tied to the same table. These org chart extensions are providing visibility to a diversity of stakeholder (teams) and being used for different purposes. Thus would like to have a different organization of the “most important”, and not needed to be frequently accessed (hidden) fields. E
Hi everyone, I’ve got a many-to-many relationship. I have a Clients table and a Plans table. Clients have many Plans, and each Plan could be assigned to many Clients. I have a join table called Clients-Plans, so I can see all the possible combinations (for example, Client 1 + Plan 1, Client 1 + Plan 2, Client 2 + Plan 2, etc.). The problem is, my Clients-Plans table is not populated yet, and I can’t figure out a way to populate it automatically. Is manually the only way to do that? Thanks in advance.
I am embedding calendar view of a base having exam dates and assignment deadlines into my website, and providing users the option to select which subjects they want to see records. How do I change the embed URL dynamically to result in {Subject} = ‘Subject 1’ or {Subject} = ‘Subject 2’ …? The advanced filtering option is working for API but not for embed. Please help, thanks
I have 2 tables: table A contains groups and table b contains items. 1 record in table A can link to many in table B, but also 2 records in table a could link to the same record in table B. I want to score the records in each of the two tables, in order to understand and prioritise which unique combination has the highest score. So, I need a third table which is automatically generated and where each row is a distinct combination of a single record from table A and a single record from table B, where they are linked according to the above. In SQL this would be ‘full outer join’ of these 2 tables. Is this possible?
Hi, i did not remember deleting my views but all of them are gone. Am i missing something?
I want to use Airtable to host images that need to be edited (some areas need to be manually blurred). What extension can I use to open an image, make the edit and save back to Airtable?
Hi there, First off please accept this in the spirit of genuine concern and not moaning or such. AirTable is an important part of my business, and indeed a joyful part of my life as a tool that gives me immense value. However, there are things that I am noticing that are starting to make me worried, and wonder if AirTable is going downhill. I’m worried about this because I had the same experience with Evernote. It was an excellent product for a long time, and then it stared going down hill. It’s now a worse product than it was at its place of best usage to me. AirTable was a very consistent product. That’s what I liked about it. But I’m starting to notice inconsistencies, and it’s really worrying me. Maybe I’m just getting itchy feet. I don’t know. Is anyone else feeling this?
Hi - is there any way to use the Org Chart with “co-managers” as you would in a family tree with two parents corresponding to “managing” a team? The Org Chart is a great feature, and it seems like this could be a natural extension of the functionality.
I have a base that I have configured for an event. At the event, we will collect ideas in real-time and enter them into the table. At the end of the event, I would like to be able to send out a form that allows participants to rank each listed idea in the table for at least two categories. Ideally, the form will have each idea listed with the ranking options below each one. Once participants have all filled out the form, I would like to be able to average all of the collected data. Do you know how to set up a form like this and configure my base to allow this to work? If not, do you have suggestions on other routes or programs to take? Any and all help is appreciated! Thank you in advance
Our employees are paid in multiple ways. First, the amount of Revenue they generate dictates Hourly Pay Rate for the week. We are able to import all revenue transactions from our CRM via .csv Revenue Report files. We have a chart that displays Hourly Pay Rate by Weekly Revenue level in the base as well. An Airtable form is used to capture timesheet entries from the field on a daily basis. The number of hours entered is applied to the Hourly Pay Rate to generate Straight Time and Overtime pay. Additionally, we pay bonuses for certain high value items that are sold (commissions are on another rate sheet in the base). Again, we use an Airtable form for field reps to submit bonus items that have been sold. Finally, in all situations, we are using DateTime functions to identify the Week of the Year for pay periods (Sunday through Saturday). So, all transactions include a Pay Period (Week of the year) in the records. All of this data is in the base in the following tables: Revenue Timesheet
I am new to using Airtable and need help. I would like to have a user choose their name from a list in a table called (Inv by Rep) and then have a form or table populated with all of their records from another table called (Main Inv by Rep). When those records are returned, I want the Rep to be able to update the “Status” field and add a picture in the “Picture of Serial Number” field for just their records. I tried to link the tables by Assigned Rep, but in form view, I can just pick the name from the list, it doesn’t return any records. Is it even possible to do what I am trying to do in Airtable? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi all! I’m wondering if it’s possible to set up a case sensitive Contains Filter on a single line text field in a Grid View. So if the Contains filter value was ‘Abc’, a row with the field containing ‘Abc123’ would be shown but not rows containing ‘ABC456’ or abc789’? Thanks! Steve
Hi Airtable, I have created a workspace and base and then connected the base with my Duda website by the API. When I added content to the base, the base data didn’t appear on my website properly. Please let me know how can I solve this problem. Thank you
