I’m using Airtable forms for request notifications for work. The team members who will action the work are not using Airtable. Apart from sharing the airtable grid view via a “read only” link - is there a way I can get the link to the responses visible to non Airtable users?

Hello, I want to have a base with all my events listed in one table. In another table (presumably) I want to have a record that automatically is populated with this week’s events. This will be linked to a form that participants can use to choose which events they will be attending this week. I have figured out how to isolate all the events happening this week on the first table, but not how to auto-populate the second table with those events and dates, so that I can create a form with those dates. Basically, I am trying to do an automated Transposed Copy from one table to another, but only with the records that match this weeks’ Weeknum. I think I am missing something rather simple, but can’t figure this out, even with searching for help. Thank you.

I have a date being pulled in from another system which is written in PST, it has GMT turned off. The date goes through some formatting formulas but is still written in PST. When I export a calendar (ical) with the finished formatted date, it seems off a day or so when read by Google, Outlook, etc. How do I make the iCal understand the date it’s getting from an airtable field is PST and it does not have to adjust it? It says https://airtable.com/..../iCal?timeZone=America%2FLos_Angeles&userLocale=en but it doesn’t seem to matter no matter what I change the timeZone= to, it is still wrong when compared to airtable’s date which i understand is in PST because I pulled it in PST while in the PST time zone.

Hi Airtable Community! I have developed an involved set of connected tables and views. One of my tables is a list of employees. When they are working in the field they are able to submit information via a form. I am now replacing an employee. I don’t wante to loose all the data that employee entered, and I don’t want them to still be a selectable option in the dropdown on the form. So, how do I hide or remove them from the form and still retain all the data they’ve entered? Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know by chance what and where particularly I need to put additional code in the formula below? Hello community! I’m trying to build a tool to help with monthly invoicing for various clients. The input form lets me specify the client via a link to the “clients” table, as well as any advance the client may have paid. Next I can enter hours worked, kilometers driven, and out-of-pocket expenses. In grid view sorted by client and month, I can see the sums for all these fields at the base of each field, but that’s unuseable data. I want to be able to generate these sums in a separate record, say “client A - April 2022” and see how much they advanced, how much they need to be invoiced, and have a formula calculate billable minus advance (actual billable total). If I can get all that data into one record, I can then create a view to make it easy to see. What’s the best way to do this? I need to stay on the free plan.

Hi Everyone, I’m quite new to the Airtable community and have used Notion before. So I’m building a project management tool for my company. For each project we always have the same steps to take to reach the final product. With the tool I want to calculate the deadlines for each step to take based on the kick-off date. That calculation part is already finished and works perfectly. But now I wanted to duplicate my tasks to do (around 20) and just link them to another project and the steps themselves stay the same and also the time I need to do them. So it’s easy for my team to use this to know the final delivery date and the deadlines for each steps of the project. When I do it simply duplicating the project, all my tasks are linked to both projects and it’s not that easy duplicating them… is there an easy way to it it instead of recreating every time all the steps with all “Times needed”? We’re building a business directory and the map app is great for discovery. However we want people to be able to filter by tags (ex: “food” “bar” “event center”). Not seeing any features that do this - is this possible in Airtable or via Airtable extensions?

I have a table that is synced from Google Calendar. It seems that by default, the primary field is the Title of the Google Calendar event, but I’d like it to be the Start Date instead. Am I missing a setting; is this possible? Using Title seems like a strange default for calendar data. Thank you!

Hello, I’m trying to see if it’s possible to list the quantity of each item from a lookup field. For example, I’m trying to create a field that will list how many tickets per priority (I can obviously do this through a chart but I’m trying to get the data here for page designer) and how many tickets are plumbing related. So i’m trying to get a field that display something like this: 2 Plumbings tickets 1 Sealer ticket 1 Other / Request 1 Kitchen appliance Same for priority: 1 Urgent ticket 2 high priority tickets 1 medium ticket 1 low ticket

Airtable is integrated into my Carrd site. We are attempting to add folks to our waitlist for a mobile app. We recently added a phone number field to the form. On airtable we added the phone number column. Did the same on Carrd. Now no one can submit their information and we only receive a 422 error. Very frustrating.

I’m trying to create a form that can look up members of our organization by scanning the barcode on their ID card. The last 6 digits (ID number) of the barcode don’t change, but the first three digits to change when someone is issued a new card. So I can’t look them up with the whole barcode because I wouldn’t be able to find them if they got a new card. My plan is to use the barcode scanner to search in a linked record, but I can’t figure out a way to have the form only pull the last six digits from the barcode scanner input. I know a formula could handle this easily, but the data would need to already be in a record to do that… Is there any way to do this within the form itself?

Hi, I am a quite a big user of n8n, I love it and it is free when it is self hosted (compared to Make) But I read that Make is fully integrated with Airtable, I would like to know if n8n is also well integrated, and if not, what are the parts missing ? The start day of our week is Sunday and closes on Saturday. However, when I tried using the datetime format it has a different week number compared to ISO week. I have different week numbers for the same date when I used the datetime format for the local and iso format. For example, if I have the date Apr 6, 2022: DATETIME_FORMAT(Date, "W") // result would be 14 DATETIME_FORMAT(Date, "w") // result would be 15 We want to have 14 as the result of the week number but the first formula starts with Monday instead of Sunday. Is there any way how to do it?

Hey everyone, hoping someone can save the day. I’m trying to calculate the month to month and YTD spending for each of our contractors. I’ve calculated the workdays (holidays excluded) from start date and I have their hourly and daily pay rates. My issue is varying contract end dates. Some contracts have ended already and some end dates are blank because they’re still active/current. How can I get an accurate calculation for billing per month & year?

I want to swap the Carrier column (with all data) with the Pickup Date (with all data) column. Is there a solution? The Carrier column is the primary field.

Hello! Here is what I am dealing with: I have a table of clients and each has an acronym (KET for example) I also have a table of projects, with multiple projects linked to a client. I want to have a project code for each project. This is made up of the client acronym, year of the project, and a project number. The issue I am trying to solve is generating the project number automatically for each project. For example: KET-2021-01 is the first project from KET in 2021, KET-2021-02 would be the second The 01, and 02 are unique with regard to the client, but not overall. We can have another client with 01, 02, etc. I have not been successful in using auto-numbering as I want to be able to have repeat project numbers, i.e. TFN-2021-01 uses 01 again but for another client. Can I do this via a formula? Would this require an automation? I am new to that, so help is appreciated. Hello, I am working with a simple CRM system. We have calls, emails, meetings, etc. that we log. We also log events and I’m trying to work with historical data to fill in some entries. I have numerous completed events and I have uploaded the contact lists. I have my interactions linked to contacts, but I am wondering how do I upload a list of people who all attended the same event and have it link to their contact record?

When I filter a view, I have to type out what I’m filtering for. However, my field Referral actually holds linked records to other tables. In this case, it links to Employees. Sometimes, we make typo’s when filtering, and as a result, our view shows inaccurate results. Currently, I type out the employee name partially, however some employees share similar names. Is there any way to select Linked Records as my condition when I filter?

HI, I have an Airtable in which each row has a datetime. Is there a way to generate individual ical or ics files for each row?

We need to plan and follow up our teams on a weekly basis. Or we do it with start-end dates (but then we need multiple lines for the same person) Or we create a column for every week (see screenshot). Not the best database-design, but it works for now. also for creating totals… it’s quite challenging (W01+W02+…W52) Are there better solutions to tackle this ?

Hi I would like to add advanced graphs to my base using the vega-lite app. However, it looks like the app doens’t support all features from vega-lite. For example, I’m unable to use parameters create grouped bar chart I tried using example code from the vega-lite app, see below. But the result it different. On the website I get a chart with the bar located next to each other. Hi folks, I am new to Airtable and encounter a problem when I upload date & month from Excel file to Airtable, the order of date & month reversed in the Airtable. Anyone has experienced the same or have solution for this? Because apparently it affects my automation related with trigger number of days in Airtable. Thanks!

I want to create a template for an event (or editorial) calendar where Day Zero is the date of the event/launch etc, and all tasks are relative to that target date. i.e. 10 days prior to launch or Day 10 or etc. How can I do this?
