I’m trying to build an automation that could, upon creation of a new record: assemble a few fields into a string (through Formula - Concatenate) ; save that string into a new txt file ; name that file ReadMe.txt ; paste it in Dropbox, in a folder whose path is one my record’s fields. I’m sure it can be done but I haven’t found the way yet. Could someone help me please?

Hi all! Wondering if anybody knows how to count the number of times a button has been clicked in Airtable (using scripts, airtable automations, or Zapier / Integromat)! Would be super useful to track which buttons are the most used and provide a count in a separate field that can be used for metrics! @kuovonne @K_V do you have any experience with this? Is there a way for me to sort a gantt chart based on a certain field? I’d like to get it to align with an excel spreadsheet I’m working on, so it would need to be sorted by the field a field that isn’t my start or end dates. Is this possible at all?

Hi, When I go to print a view from a shared Airtable database link. All of my hidden fields that I hid within the shared link become visible again on the print preview. Is there a fix for this?

I am trying to set up an appointment booking system. They will be recurring at different intervals. I would like only the time/dates available to show so that it cannot be double booked. Time slots: 500, 510, 520 Start dates: 3/21, 4/4, 4/18, 5/2 Occurrence: daily, M-F Session durations in weeks: 2, 4, 6 For example, if someone books 5:00 on 3/21 for 6 weeks the next available spot for 5:00 is 5/2. If 5:10 is booked on 3/21 for 4 weeks the next spot for 5:10 is 4/18. If possible I would like to not have any gaps in there as well but am more concerned with the availability and having them show up as recurring events in a calendar. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi I use Airtable as an editorial platform for a magazine. I want to share photos and a bit of text from the magazine with influencers in order to give them material to post on social media directly on their own profiles - #employeeadvocacy - #memberadvocacy Is there a way to insert a “post to facebook”-option (and other Some) in a table, so that the users will see this option, when they open the view I share with them? If not they will have to download photo and copy text - and I am afraid that this journey will be too long for anyone to choose it. I am trying to add a specific duration to a datetime format, then reformat the output to another datetime. So for example: Datetime Field 1 / duration field (h:mm) / Formula Output (datetime format) I want to take datetime field 1 and add [duration field] to make a datetime format. Any way to do this?

Hello, Is there a way to filter a calendar view for conditions relating to each field separately? For example, we have to chase a customer for an invoice twice. Accordingly, we mark a first chase date and a second chase date and then a corresponding checkbox for each chase to mark that we have completed it. What I am hoping to build is a calendar view that displays all the outstanding chases that we have to do (both the first and the second chases - meaning there are two date fields). I want to filter out all the chases where the corresponding checkbox is ticked (i.e. we have completed it). I couldn’t build the logic perfectly for this when applied to both date fields however. It would be very convenient to filter the first date field based on whether First Chase is unticked and filter the second date field based on whether the Second Chase is unticked. Hi, I’m building a form for community voting, and the edit mode view shows a photo thumbnail + name, while the “live view” only shows the name. The form doesn’t make much sense without the thumbnail image. Any help here? Thanks!

I am using Airtable to create a data schema for a project. My schema defines a single data field that may have multiple sources contributing to it. I want to visually show the priority of the sources for each field. At this point I have the sources in a separate table and being linked to the single data field they contribute too. How could I best show the higherarchy of sources per data field?

I am trying to use page designer and add a pdf or word document to this on screen, there is no button for me to import it directly and when i try to upload as an image it blurs when I try to make it fit to A4 size. Please can someone advise?

Is there a way for us to set up a column that can count the number times of the Last Date Modified was updated. My Airtable is connected to Calendly through Zapier and everytime they book a call, the record is just updated. I would like to see how many times that record is updated (to know how many times they have booked a call). Any ways to achieve this?

Is there a way to password protect a base so that when it’s opened (even by me) it requests a password before showing any information? I’m attempting to make a base to store ALL passwords. Personal and Business. However I do not want anyone who may get access to my computer to be able to pull up the base without a password. Thanks

I run a schedule of staff and I want to limit the number of items each is assigned daily. How can I set a maximum number of items assigned to a particular staff and the extras moved to another staff with no limits?

Hello! We use Airtable for our inventory and our finance team require a summary of the value of stock at the end of each month. I have a value column which shows each product’s value and I look at the sum at the bottom of the total. I have also created an interface which highlights the total value of stock we’re holding at any one time. This interface is really useful but the problem is as it automatically updates when something changes I can’t send this to accounts as a summary of the value at the end of each month (this is great in general - just for the purposes of this task I need to find another way). I have also thought about setting up an automated email to send 1st of the month at 12am but can’t find a way of including the small value in the ‘sum’ at the bottom of the value column. I’ve also looked at snapshots but it looks like you can’t automate these for a certain day/time. I can of course just send them an email with a link to the interface saying ‘here’s the current value

Is there an easy way of creating a column (field) in Airtable that includes consecutive dates (ie. each record shows the next date on from the record before)? The only way I find I can do this is to manually insert each date. Another way would be to select two of the dates and drag down or up through empty records (a la a spreadsheet). But unlike Apple Numbers you cannot create new records as you drag. Therefore you have to pre-create the empty records. The problem is that the empty records are not adjacent to the most recent date (and I want to add dates after the most recent date). The empty records always appear at the other end of the list of records. I assume I am missing something basic? Thanks

Hello, I would like to ask you for help with this. I have a tracking table of profiles of people on social networks. In this table I write down the number of followers that each one has when I register it. Periodically I review those profiles and update the data of followers of each profile. I would need to keep a file of these changes in the number of followers to be able to review the history of each profile and see if its trend is positive or negative over time.
