I want to import a template made by another user. It was created in Airtable. The user says another person successfully imported it several months ago, but she cannot remember how to do it herself. I don’t have access to the other user. Can someone help with this? Thanks in advance
Hello I am slightly confused on locking views. I would like to have a Gallery View filtered to show only certain records. The name of the gallery view will be the same as the records the filter is set to display. I would then create 6 more gallery views to show the other records (with the filter preset accordingly for each view) I see I can lock the view so that only I can edit it - but for some reason, that doesn’t seem to be affected when sharing a view via a link (without the user needing to log into Airtable - which is important). So when you look at the view via the link, you can click filter and change the criteria of the filter (which would mess things up). Or am I missing something? Thanks in advance, Andrew
How can I add percentages to the dashboards on airtable? For example if I have two elements giving certain values, and I want to get a percentage between Element A and B and put that percentage in its own box?
Hi everyone I have a base for student enrollment to courses, but sometimes they sign for a second, or more courses so, in some cases i have duplicate entries regarding country, name, mail etc. I want to build a new table to filter just unique values to show statics on a dashboard or interface. How would you suggest to work this? Please, anything would help. Im thinking in lookup fields or synced tables… Thanks, Rodrigo
Hi, I have created a Gantt View to represent a schedule of Audits. Currently completing one Audit per month. Despite my newness on Airtable I seem to have something that looks like a planner, and what i would like to do next is create some information for managers to quickly appreciate the planner, e.g. a dashboard or App. #1 So in my picture you see I have a Today Line, and you can see the next Audit is in Jan22 Management Systems Manual, so is it possible to have some Dashboard style indicators, e.g. Next Audit “24” days Audit “Management Systems Manual” #2 Further to this what would also be nice is if I click on the coloured box on the Schedule and I could access some more information, maybe who the Auditor will be and what type of Audit will be conducted. Hope that makes sense, I am used to Excel but as my company is cloud based and wants better deployability amongst remote users, wants to develop tools in Airtable. Thanks, in Advance, Simon.
I am interested in the ability to provide access to editing certain columns and selections (for example, add only a certain type of data, by filter). The most correct decision is to give access to the view, but the local editing of the view is impossible, judging by everyone so far, although this issue was actively discussed a year ago, perhaps there are alternative ways (entering data through the forms will not work, it is necessary for a person to be able to work with sampling in a tabular form)
Perhaps I am missing something, but I am trying to use the “notifications” list as a kind of inbox to go through all comments that are directed at me. The notifications dropdown (attached) is problematic in several ways for this: Multiple comments on the same item result in multiple notifications. I can’t mark notifications as “read” in bulk. The notifications don’t disappear from the list after they’ve been read. Is there some setting or command I’m missing? Is there a better way of managing notifications? Is there a better way of doing what I’m trying to do?
Hi, I have a fairly large database and I was able to build an app based on it. My app is getting attraction thankfully but I have an issue that, if persists, might turn the app useless! The database is in Arabic and performing search in Arabic in Airtable is not the best. sometimes it works and shows results and sometimes it tells you no results found even though I know for sure that the keyword I searched for is there. I’m not talking about the search block which doesn’t support arabic but basic search using the search icon in the base. I was a bit ok with this in the beginning when all my work was in Airtable but the fact that this limitation (bug?) extends to the Airtable API is frustrating. Now this issue exists even if you want to use, say, Softr (Which I’m using.) Is there any workaround here? I don’t want my app to turn obselete because of such an issue. UPDATE: After posting this, I performed a certain search and found another form of this issue and now I am more frustrated. I
Howdy, I’d like to have two columns: A. Features Used by Customer B. Features Not Used by Customer Both columns currently have the same multi-select answers in them. When I add features to column A, I end up manually selecting all the other features to show up in column B (“not used”). I’d like column B to automatically display any features that weren’t selected in column A. This was posted a couple of other times, but I couldn’t find an answer: Display multi-select items not selected and Show un-selected options from multiple select field in a separate field Can anyone help? Much thanks!
Hi Everyone, We are current pro plan customers with a base of ~10K records. This data needs to be reviewed and enriched by a contracting firm that we are hired to do some work for us. They are (independently) also pro-plan customers of Airtable. I wanted to share this base with them by e-mail, but I don’t want to pay the monthly fee per user (there will be ~15 new users if that’s the case) since they are already pro-plan customers (and we could just as easily “send” the base over for them to do their work). Is this a supported use case within Airtable? Pranav
Use-case: As an airtable user/developer, I would like to invoke one custom script from multiple buttons within the same table and my custom script’s logic determines next steps to execute from the invoking button’s identifier. Does Airtable’s API (or workaround) currently support this functionality? I’d like to avoid creating multiple scripts for the same action and I’m not “there yet” as far as creating more robust custom apps. I attempted googling various phrasings of this question as well as referencing the Airtable help docs (and API docs) related to the custom button feature but could not find anything for certain so I thought I’d ask here!
Base Temporarily unavailable. I’m on Pro Plan. How can this be fixed?
“This base is temporarily unavailable. We apologise for the inconvenience.” this is the error message received on a Pro plan workspace
Hey, What I’m trying to do is expire a record after 24 hrs. I have created a view and filtered it by “start date is after 1 day ago”. It works but I don’t know if it’s 24hrs or 1 day ago based on the date? If the latter, a record may not be live for 24 hrs. Does that make sense? So my question is: How many hours is in an Airtable day? Or, should I try to achieve this another way? Cheers
Anyone else having trouble uploading to attachment columns right now? Sometimes it’s fine, but most of the time I can’t use my automation to email them, or the attachments are just deleting themselves.
Hello all, I want to display my Event Start Time and Event End Time as ISO 8601 format. I need it in this format so that when I export the csv and import into Adalo (no code app builder) that it will accept the time and date format correctly. The “Local Start Time” field is the airtable user’s local time. They input the time there, then select the Event time zone. The “Event Time Zone” field has a formula to show the correct time in that time zone. I want to also create a column to show the “Event Time Zone” in ISO 8601 format and with the correct UTC offset. I need this because I need to export this airtable and import it into Adalo as a csv. I saw a user “Kuovonne” do something similar, but I can’t figure out the formula to get the correct format and utc offset. This is the output that Kuovonne showed that I am looking for.
I’m working on an app that needs to filter the table in some way. It doesn’t look like there is a way to update the filters in the app. Is this correct?
My base has a particular table that’s large - it has about 35,000 records and about 13GB of attachments and my base in total has just over 38,000 records. I know this is getting pretty big in Airtable terms, but its well under the 50,000 records and 20GB attachments limits for my Pro plan. The other smaller tables in my base load and continue to work fine. This problem table shows the ‘Loading view’ spinner, but then a very unhelpful error popup appears: I know I need to migrate away from Airtable since I’ll overun the 50k record limit within next few months, but I thought I had that much time up my sleeve to figure out the migration… Now my base does not function at all which is a business critical issue. I’ve contacted Airtable support and send Console info, not sure if anything else I can do for now… Any advice on how to proceed much appreciated.
Hello everyone, I’m struggling with a Date/Time situation that is maybe pretty straightforward for a lot of you but…I’m confused  I’m definitely in need of help here ! Thank you. So, I’m updating a table with an API call (using Data Fetcher) from which I get, inside the response, a Date/Time field which looks like this : And when it’s pasted into a Date Field into AirTable, the Time is offset and not correct : I don’t get it. I understand from lots of discussions here and there that it may come from how Airtable manages Date and Time but even going through some posts or support articles, I don’t know how to handle it… Does anyone of you have an idea on how to fix this ? This would be very helpful. Thanks D
Hi folks I’m new in Airtable, how can I show last 24 handled records, suppose I have a “completed” status, so how can I view the only last 24 hours where a record became “completed” from another status (such as pending or in progress…)
Still a newbie, learning steadily. But now that I have 700 records, each with 10 or so fields, including 5 or 6 linked fields, I am mystified to how to update any one field in any one record. For instance, since my base is my records and inventory of vintage fountain pens, I sell a pen and need to update its status from For Sale to Sold. I find the pen in its group and make the change, and it changes the status for the whole group. I expand the record for that one pen, and it shows me that pen in its status, plus all the other pens with that status, so I can’t change that one pen’s status without changing all the others as well. AT won’t let me make the change right in the record/field cell in the base itself. What am I missing? Many thanks, Tim
Our journalism project is setting up a series of watchlists on an Airtable for monitoring groups of Twitter users who are public figures/institutions. Does anyone have an automated way of using the Twitter user ID or account URL to populate an Airtable with the public Twitter profile information (such as profile public name, bio/description, location, website, etc) and profile follower/following count/number?
Hi! A company I work with shared an airtable link with content (mp4 videos/ photos). I need to download these images and videos. I cannot find any type of download icon or button to click on the videos or photos on the airtable document. Please help! :slightly_smiling_face: TIA!
Hello, I want to add limits on my calendar view, so that I can add the opening time and the ending time of my office. I want this because sometime some tasks are planned for 6 hours, and those 6 hours are distributed between 2 days. Adding opening and closing limits to each day on my calendar will avoid having the 6 hours assigned to 1 day. Thank you.
Hello all! I would like to ask if anyone have an idea how to automate the following scenario or a formula. Eg. I have different strings like This is a Christmas tree. This is a Xmas tree I want to identify both the keyword “Christmas” and “Xmas” and tag them to a Multi-select option as “Christmas” Is there an existing formula or automation to this? Thank you all!
