I am a new user and here is what I would like to have happen: I have a contact list-when I add or change a contact, I want to obtain the city and state, based on zip code, from a google sheet sheet which contains all this desired information, and update the record in airtable with the city and state. Everything I find wants me to trigger from changes in google sheets and update google sheets. Does anyone know how I can lookup info from one(airtable) by looking for a match in the other (google sheets) and write back to fields into airtable?

Hi. I have a host team at a restaurant. I want them to be able to take messages and submit to the managers in a form. How can I do this without them all having individual access. Can I keep a “form” open on the computer for them to send?

Hello, I’m a new user, and I’ve read several posts about how to link fields. None of the suggestions seem to work for me. Perhaps I’m missing something obvious. I have a base that tracks host families. One table has general admin information about the families including their current hosting status. I’m setting up another table to track availability in different quarters. I linked the status field from admin information table to the availability table. Nothing is auto filling. I understand auto fill may be the issue, but when I try to manually enter the information I get the “Look up fields should be configured in the field menu drop down” and when I try to copy and paste from the source table, I get the message “Can’t paste into this field. Hello everyone! I’d highly appreciate it if some could advise how to manage the below task: I am building a “recipe cost calculator”, where each recipe has a different amount of ingredients to use. I want to make a form where chef could input data and create new recipe, were main goal is to calculate the cost of this recipe. So, chef inputs the Recipe name, image, category, chooses ingredients, inputs its amount to use, and in the final box should appear a cost ($) of the recipe based on ingredients and their amounts. The existing “Food cost calculator” does not have option of calculation in this manner. It’s more general and is not as precise as I am want to build. I am struggling to build a form where chef can choose the ingredient and input its amount to use. Formulas for calculations are not a problem. Below is a sample form

Hello. I have two tables - Orders and Shipments. Orders are pre populated using an integration with Hubspot. Shipments are created manually using a ‘Create Shipment’ form on the Shipments table. I want to assign Shipments to Orders by clicking on a button in the record of the ‘Order’ named something like ‘Add Shipment’. This should then open a URL for the ‘Create Shipment’ form on the Shipments table. Ideally here though I want to pre fill the Order Number of the record that I clicked the button on. I have created a linked record field in the Shipments table which links to the Orders table. I have then appended the following to the URL for the button: “prefill_Order Number={RECORD_ID}” The linked record displays and I can choose the order number manually but it doesn’t pre fill. Can you let me know where I’m going wrong if possible? Thanks! Dan

Most of my attachments are no more displayed. The files name are still there but are replaced by a picture icon. The files are there too (I can download them from Airtable). Same things happen if I add new attachments : the files are imported, but are replaced by an icon. I have a presentation to a customer in a few hours…

I know this had been reported in the past, and had been marked as resolved, but it seems that the issue came back. Simply put, image attachments are not displayed, neither in the Android app nor on the web browser. You can still download the attachment, just not have it displayed in the table. The issue is happening with old images that used to display correctly as well as with newly uploaded images. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi, i’m having an issue on the gallery view… I uploaded a pdf document on one my tabs…When i click on it, it got a broken image icon… If i click on it i get an error "We’re sorry, the preview didn’t load… This document may be protected… However document is not protected…If i download it from the options, i can open and view perfectly… This problem only started this morning…

Hi, I have the need to show linked fields as well as the primary in a form. Users click a field selection on the form and it does not explain or show them what they are picking? In this example Current Doc is the primary and is only a number. I have a formula on Airtable who calculate the sending date depending of the carrier choose by the customer : IF(Transporteur, DATEADD({Date souhaitée par le client}, SWITCH(Transporteur, ‘GLS’, -2, ‘Chronopost’, -1), ‘days’) ) {Date souhaitée par le client} : Delivery date Transporteur : GLS or Chronopost (my 2 carriers) -1 or -2 : calculation for "if the client ask for the 10th of december, the order has to be send the 8h if the client choose GLS. Finally, the time depend of the day of the week end. For exemple, if a cliente have a delivery date on Tuesday, i need to calcul -1 for GLS and not -2. How can i conditionned that ? I need direction for this goal… I have a large list of names that I want a smaller number of users to interact with, primarily, selecting some names from the large list. The smaller user group are not collaborators; I could never afford that and they don’t really change any data, they make selections. The large list could be in the thousands, the smaller User Group in the hundreds. People are usually selecting between 1 and 30 names. I need to be able to embed this name selection process into a website and mobile environment. I’ve tried Google Sheets, but hit a brick wall. I am afraid I’m going to need to develop a formal app and have no idea how to do that. So… Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you, in advance, for any input.

Hey there, I am wanting to make an improved pivot table that allows me to do extra formatting and remove the sum fields which I am not interested in. I see a lot of the airtable apps are available to extend from in the blocks Github, but I don’t see the pivot table. Is this available somewhere or am I missing something?

Is there a way to build an interface or is there an app or script that will allow our company to use Airtable as a kiosk for our clients that come in our lobby? I have an airtable base for our thousands of program applicants, and we I want people to come up to our kiosk and search their names in the database, without seeing anyone else’s information (privacy is very important). Perhaps they look their names up and it just states what is the day they applied to the program and how long until they are selected? Or if they are not on the list, allow them to submit a message to our staff. The records view in the new Interface seems great, but we do not want everyone to see everyone else. This is why we are using the last name, first name, and birth date search engine. Is this at all possible in Airtable or any apps or scripts? Drew

Hello, I have already asked a similar question with no success. I will try to explain a bit better what I am trying to achieve here. I am building a website where users can send offers/bids for items on Webflow. I connected Zapier and Airtable to achieve this flow. Everything is ok, the only problem is if someone sends a bid that is lower than the highest bid it will show as the highest. I managed to see the record I want to be synced to Webflow on my airtable if I multi filter by “bid” (highest first) and “date” (latest first). The problem is that when I run Zapier, it will transfer all the data from airtable and not only the top one. Here a screenshot to help you understand:

Hi, I am brand new to Airtable, but loving it so far. I have a table that has one record that is more important than the rest, its the Master Document in a Document Register. What I would like to be able to do is display on the dashboard some info about this Master Record, but unable to select from the current Apps a way to do this? I don’t even need to find the document, as I know what it is by Doc Name, and simply want to look at this record and report on the Dashboard its Revision and its Date of Revision, (i have Fields that have this info already) To give you some context, as I’m not sure this makes sense, I have a record like this… Master Document 1.0 01/11/201 … and i simply want the App to display this for one Record, a bit like the Summary Settings app. Thank, Simon
