… this is my first time with online database work. I am have a table listing the 50 States, with each having a unique URL field in the record. On a web page, I want to display a drop list of the 50 States. The web visitor will select one State from the list which will then will display the unique URL to the visitor. This is web page has the function I want to use on my site. https://www.needtechs.com/techs_search.php Anyone know of a guide that will help me figure out how to do the view and or filter to accomplish this? Hello, I’m using Integromat to look at the Airtable Record Last Modified Time Field as the trigger, then it goes to GMAPS and gets some mileages and comes back and updates the record. Does anyone know how to keep it from recalculating all the mileages and updating all the records, only the ones that have been modified? I have the scenario set to 'Choose Where To Start ’ “From Now On” Its running up a lot of “Operations” in Integromat. Thanks!

Hi guys! So, I’m trying to do something that feels WAY more complicated than it should be. I have a view which groups records by week, then by type, then by status, and we use this as a dashboard to measure activity. However, we’d like a static report every Monday that summarises the counts in each of these dropdowns, otherwise we’ll need to manually ensure we check it every week and scrape the data on a Monday. I’ve tried roll-ups and count fields, but the way the base is set up means having a linked field just for this adds an otherwise redundant step into our users’ day. Even just the ability to do a rollup of things tagged as “content type x” within the last week would be better than nothing, but it’s seemingly not possible. It’s a long-term bug-bear of mine that it’s so weirdly hard to get record counts out of Airtable in an easy way, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Josie

Hi, We have a base that lists our staff calendar and we have approx 20 employees. When we duplicate the data for the next week, it is very cumbersome to keep the hours the same but change the date for each employee as they all work different hours. Is there a way that we can duplicate a previous working week and get the new dates populated in a more efficient manner?

Hey Airtable Community! For the past few weeks I’ve been trying to design the following process: A user submits a form entry. Depending on whether the user indicates if they’ve submitted an entry before and whether they want their entry used for a specific project, a formula field will produce a certain text string. 3.That formula field is added in curly brackets to a SendGrid HTML template, so that the appropriate text swaps in to each individual email, rather than me needing several different templates. This all works fine. I started running into trouble when I then tried to add hypertext. I thought I could get away with this by putting it directly in my formula (this is an example version): IF({Adaptation Switch}="Yes", "Text 1","Text two, and visit us <a href=\\"https://www.airtable.com\\">here</a>!") Is it possible for linked records to be shown in the original table, as they are with the synced table? Example: I have a table of contracts with a linked customers field. Hi there! I am trying to devise a way to send an email with a recap of our sold inventory from the past week using Zapier. The Zap will be triggered upon a new record in a view. (Our sales manager will Audit the list from the past week, then use a checkbox to say it’s ready to go). Obviously, the number of units sold will change week to week, so I can’t use a static HTML table in my email. Ultimately, I’d love to end up with the same design I have in Page Designer - see below screenshot. (side note: I will be ecstatic on the day that Page Designer/other blocks integrate with Zapier - it would solve SO MANY of my problems if I could attach a page from Page Designer as a PDF to an email or to a record). Any ideas as to what sort of action steps I need to use before I build my email template? Thanks so much!

Hello everyone! I’ve created a calendar view (with correct dates) and shared the link to my Google Calendar. For some reason, the entry in my Google calendar is displaying 1 day late. It should display today September 25th and instead, it’s September 26th!

I am using the free version of airtable, just so you know before moving forward. I know you can simply look at your settings and whatnot and see the number of records is in your base. However, I want to display that number on a website that will change as the record count does. For example, I am running a database that can be viewed by the public. I want a message on my website that states something like, “number here objects in the database and counting!” I don’t know how to do script or anything so I figure I could use a COUNT formula or something and display that in a field, then embed that airtable onto the webpage. I know there is a count field function, but I am not wanting to count the number of linked records (you have to have linked records for the count category to work).

I have a central Airtable repository where records are managed. That repository is synced up to a second base. In that second base, whenever a record is added to the central repository, a new record is created in the second base in a tab separate from the synced data. All this works well. But what I’d like to achieve is the following: When new records are added to the central repository, I automatically assign them a Pending status. A new record is created in the second base with that status based on the sync. But when I update the status to Complete in the central repository, the already created record in the second base retains the Pending status, even though the central repository and synced data display the updated Complete status. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this? The automation I’ve set up to add a new record to the 2nd base whenever added to the central repository is demonstrated in the below screenshot.

Does anyone experience time zone issues when syncing date/time fields across bases? In one of my bases, I have many date/time fields that I’m syncing over to a different base. Those date/time fields have GMT selected in the original base. However, when these fields are synced across to different base, those fields became single line text fields instead. Thus, I have to use DATETIME_PARSE on them, so I can perform calculations on them later on. The following is an example of how I parse a synced date/time field: DATETIME_PARSE({Synced Date}, “M/D/Y h:ma”) I am in California, and I found out that my newly created fields may sometimes jump 7 hours forward or backward whenever AirTable syncs any new data, so I know that it is the time zone that is causing the issue. Hello All I work in the Marketing Dept and we have all day events in AT as records. After creating a calendar view and adding the iCal file to Outlook, these events show up as busy in the Outlook calendar blocking our entire day preventing us from scheduling a meeting with others. Is there a way to add the Calendar view to Outlook where the records don’t show up as busy as a default. Thanks

I need some help to do something… 1/I have a column B, with a currency field. 2/I have a column C, with % field. 3/I havr a column D, of number. 4/I have a column E, of % field. 5/I have a columm F, of currency. I need percentage of column C and E automatically. So if : Column B has a total of $100. IF I insert 10% into Column C. The column D should show me 90$. but IF i need to changes into Column D from 90 to 95$. then the column C shows me 5%. reflect both sides if i changed any value from column C and D. after that… Successive Discounts applied on column E. I insert 2% into colum E. Then column F will show me 88.2 (2% of 90 column D price) and the final price show me on column F. I.E. I want to view each person’s entry like a card or face sheet and then when I click on them, I can see more information. Hello users! I have a budget model with a field that automatically calculates state taxes based on the price I include for a given product. In some cases, though, I am not charged any taxes, and my budget doesn’t allow me to leave it as “$0.00” - How can I adjust it so that I can modify the value to $0 when no taxes are charged? Hi all, I have an iPad and laptop that will be displaying a simple Airtable form for people to line up at an orientation event and physically input their details (name, email, mobile) to sign up for our newsletter. I have selected the option to redirect to the same form via its URL (see attached). While this is almost what we need, it still isn’t instantaneous and takes a few seconds (usually 3-5 seconds). Our alternative is Google Forms as it has this instant refresh feature, but I would prefer to stick with AirTable’s form rather than adding another step in the process. Does anyone have any suggestions to refresh the form instantly after one person hits the submit button? This could be a browser extension (but I have only ever seen timed auto-refresh, which is not ideal if someone is in the middle of inputting their details).
