Hi, It would be really nice if I could have a 3rd field shown at the intersection of these two others. For instance, the countertop in the powder room is called “Topus Concrete”. Instead of a number, I would like if that name could be displayed instead of the quantity. I know you can click on the numbers to see all the records that it’s referencing, but in terms of printing this out and having it handy, the name would be far more useful. Any options for this?

What’s going on with quality control at Airtable this week? First the table picker and now this: C’mon people. Do some testing before you push to prod.

Hey all, we’re using https://syncinc.so/ to access Airtable from retool, where we use SQL to work with Airtable tables. We have two table connected by a Link field and we need to set the Link field via SQL. Normally it’d be something using foreign key, but I’m not sure how to achieve it here. The SQL code would be this: UPDATE table1 SET link_field_to_t2 = ( select array[t2.id] from table2 t2 where t2.email = 'email@email.com' ) where id = '<some_ID>' When I try to run this, I get: permission denied for table table1 Is it possible to achieve what I’m trying to achieve?

Hello all, After 10 days off work, the team have returned today to an issue. When a clients record moves to “New Appointment” view, it triggers 2 zaps with zapier. One sends a text with details of the appointment and the other sends a confirmation email to client. Both zaps use fields from airtable in the body of the text. Today, this has simply stopped pulling the airtable fields into the body of text. So both text and email are triggered, but neither contain the data from airtable. I have just identified that either Zapier or Airtable have changed something. For example, a field that was originally “First Name” is now showing as “Fields First Name”, “Telephone Number” is now “Fields Telephone Number”. This is how it is showing in the zapier “Set up Action” step when sending an email in outlook. I am going through and changing the fields on this zap and many others that also appear affected which is time consuming and frustrating! I expect

That’s it, simple as that. There’s currently a ‘Quarter’ and a ‘Year’ view and I’m currently working out a schedule that’ll take somewhere just between there! A ‘Half year’ view would be really handy. (Or an arbitrary zoom would be even better.)

Hi There, I’m struggling to figure out a formula (if there is a suitable one available), and wondering if anyone can help. I have a spreadsheet to track subscriptions and when the next orders are due to go out - these are done at regular intervals; either 4-weekly, 6-weekly, 8-weekly or 3-monthly. Rather than having to update the next due date of the subscription for each order I would love to have a formula that can automatically update the next due date based on the start date e.g. if the order started on 01/07/21 on a 3-monthly subscription, then it would be able to update the next due date to 01/10/21. I would then like it to continue updating automatically, so when we get to 01/10/21 it would automatically update to 01/01/21. Is this possible? Or anything similar that doesn’t require it to be a completely manual process. Hi, I have a table with sub-categories where I want to be able to choose, from a multiple-select list, the lowest level and auto populate the higher level, e.g. if I choose “Banana” I want the higher level to automatically become “Fruit”. I have managed to do this with an IF-statement, but my solution doesn’t give such a user-fiendly filtering option. The IF-statement I have created returns the statement as a string, so when I want to filter the category I manually have to write in “Fruit”. I would instead like to filter it by selecting “Fruit” from a list (as you can do with for instance a multiple-select list). Is it possible to do this when autopopulating a field? Thank you in advance!

Is it possible to have an audit/history view of just one data field, but across all records? Want to keep close control of changes to one field in all tables in a base. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am trying to create a simple rollup field that counts the number of check boxes from a linked table for attendance purposes. I create the rollup field like this: You can see that Abdelnasir and Aamir both have at least one check mark for attendance: However nothing changes and the rollup field shows zero: I’ve literally done this exact same thing before and it worked fine, but now I cannot figure why this time it is not working. Any ideas? (Note: I’ve also tried this with the Count field to no avail) Thanks! Justin

Tell me it ain’t so… When I’m searching on Airtable homescreen, it will only show results from a Base’s text, which is so limiting. How can I do a global search of content text? Or does it not yet exist?

Hey there. This isn’t really a ‘views’ question but there doesn’t seem to be a category for ‘just Airtable itself’ so it’s the best I could find. Until very recently, pressing Cmd + J to switch tables showed a list of my tables in that view. I could arrow-key up and down to select, and I think even re-order from that view. Now this brings up a search box with No matching tables until I start to search. This is vastly less useful. Was this an update, or is it a bug? Please change it back.

I’m having problems with the pre-created script app to convert URLs to attachments. It worked great this morning, but I went to run it again and the entire script has been stripped to the “Hello World” state. I’ve been trying to re-add it for hours now and if I’m lucky it just leaves me with the infinite spinning loop. If I’m SOL I get the “This page is not responding” popup. I’m used to the latter, as one of the other app blocks does this, but with enough “wait” clicks and patience I can usually get the block to start working (it’s the app to link records, if anyone is curious.) My computer is up to date (I just checked) and I use Edge on a Windows desktop. I also use another computer which is having the same experience. Same set up. Does anyone have any recommendations? Hi there, I have an issue where clients of mine using a form are using the date field to add a time in the past, which errors one of my workflows. Is there a way to only allow them to put future times in? Maybe an error check?

If many devices , like in hundreds fetch Airtable sheet data simultaneously, will there be an error, Or can Airtable handle this.?

Creating a Filtered and Grouped View within a Table Grid View is easy enough - however I’m now stuck with having this fairly simple/straight forward billing summary data stuck in my view - and I have no idea how I can easily/automatically get this summary view of data stamped into a monthly invoice at the end of each month. The below image shows two fairly simple fields, a customer name lookup and a summary of time spent with them per month, in this case just the past months work. But I’ve been unsuccessful in figuring out how to get this summary data out of Airtable and into the hands of those who pay the bills. This wasn’t a big issue when starting out initially, with my time split between only one or two customers. I used Page Designer for capturing the info initially. Hello I am looking for feedback around how the Google Map integration works with Airtable. My goal is to type an address in Airtable, automatically populate the Google Map block in Airtable, then automatically populate a public Google Map embedded on a website. Is this functionality possible?

I have what seems like a very basic and common need for the Page Designer block, but it doesn’t seem possible without some kluge-y workarounds. I just want to confirm my understanding and see how others are addressing this issue. As we all know, from any given view of a table, it’s possible to print that view with all its unique sorting, filtering, column display, and other attributes. This is a quick and easy way to get your sliced-and-diced table into hard copy or PDF for sharing with others, but it has limited formatting capabilities. Helpfully, however, the little print dialog in Airtable tells us we should consider the Page Designer block to create “completely custom print layouts.” This sounds promising, and I have the Pro plan, so let’s go check that out. When I go over to the Page Designer block, I see that I can set up some very nice record-centric views using not only the data from the table I was in, but even other tables linked to the primary table. Hi Im New to Airtable, trying to see if this can work for keeping my christmas light business clients organized and make estimates. The client organization is done and working great. What im trying to do now is replicate my estimate excel form I have been using for the longest time. I “Can” make it where all these fields scroll horizontally across the grid view however that is just too much to be able to use it well for imputing the information. If there a way to customize my view for the record that is more graphical where I can lay it out more like this? I have looked at the form view but that won’t do it. I have a lot of experience using file maker pro and that’s mostly graphical view interface, looking to be able to make something like that here. Any help is welcome thanks!

My company email domain was changed and now I can’t log in. I only used google SSO before and now I can’t access my account to change the address to update it so that it works with the new company email. Can someone from AirTable please help? Thank you.

Since Airtable does not have save-state feature and my form is long, I had to move to JotForm for my form builder However upon integrating JotForm into Airtable and in the field mapping process - I found that it does not support passing of Airtable’s linked-fields data to be mapped into JotForm. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Can anyone help me work out how I make information un accessible in a particular calendar view? I have virtual training sessions showing in 2 calendars, 1 for the trainer and anther for the client. I want to add the zoom login credentials for the trainer to access them but don’t want the client to be able to see this in their calendar view. I can’t work out how to do this, any suggestions? I look at the template resources, and couldn’t find it, so wanted to ask the community instead. Is there a sample QUIZ form template that’s available on AT, where there’s an answer key, so once people take the quiz, the score will be automatically for us by AT?

The function of inserting records, shift+enter, is only useful when I put the mouse on the cell. If the mouse is in other places, there is no response when pressing this key combination.
