Hi all, (just learning Airtable) I’m creating a submission form for a client and we’re expecting a large amount of submissions (1,000+). At some point we are planning on narrowing down the options and presenting those selects to the client… as of now I have a “Status” column where we can tag that record with a specific color and filter it afterwards where they only see the reds or the yellows. I was planning on having a link sent to the client where they’d see the back end (the chart, form, and gallery), but ideally I’d prefer to have a separate space, for the lack of a better word, where the client can only see those selects and not turn off the filter and see the other 700+ options. Any advice on how to make that happen? Just trying to figure out an efficient way to show the client the records/submissions that we culled down. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I would like to create a form for my community member to reflect on their week and set new intentions. I would love them to be able to see only their answers in a form that is embedded on my website that the whole community will have access to, is that possible? Thank you in advance for your help!

I have embedded a view into a web page in “card” format, and I’m hoping there is a way to edit the card. It will only show 4 columns in each card - I’d love to show more. Also, my first field is “long text” - I’d love to be able to show more of that long text. Possible? Thanks!

I have a custom app with multiple remotes. I released the same app for all remotes, and not able to find how to enable the app for the base. It does not show up in the UI at all.

Hello! I started to use Kanban as a sales pipeline to track deals and I have been uploading files to those records under the “grid” view. When I view the Kanban, the files are displayed like a thumbnail. I have customized the card to disable “files” and I checked that “files” is a hidden field, when I expand the record. Does anyone know how to eliminate the thumbnail for Kanban cards?

I have a cell that links to a series of events they are listed from the past and future. I want to have a cell that find the next upcoming event in that list?

Hi! I’m trying to figure out what would be the best way to implement something easy to use that would allow anyone to check if a record exists in an airtable base. With a table with these columns: Name | Surname | ID | email I would like to implement an external webapp that given email + ID, checks if the record actually exists and returns true or false. Any ideas? Thanks

Feature Request… Can you make the monthly calendar view scrollable so I can easily drag records from a date in June to a date in July (for example).

Hello, I’ve never asked a question before so I apologize if this is the wrong format. I think I might be making something simple more difficult than it needs to be: I have three tables: A, B and C, and I would like to make unique URLs in table C using automation in the following way: When a new record is added in A, an automation creates multiple new records in C by adding a UTM for A in one field, and a UTM for every record in B in another field, but I would like every AB UTM field pairing to be a new record in C. Currently I am getting a new record with A in one field, and every B record as a list all in one field. In other words, I would like separate new records in C, with all possible AB pairs when a new A is created. I am stuck on the multiple record creation part. Thank you for your help!

I am trying and very close to getting this to work IF(DATETIME_FORMAT({Last Time Done}, ‘YYYY’ = 0000), DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Last Time Done},‘days’), “Never Done”) I can’t get it to say neverd one when last time done year matches 0000

For Link Table, I have been able to do a “batch” sort, however it only sorts for the first field. Is there anyway to sort this Link Table by multiple fields? For a Lookup Table, how do you sort this information whereas when I expand the record the Lookup records are sorted? Thank you

Hi there, We’re using airtable to rate things across a number of users and devices and the rating field (with stars) does not appear correctly on Android phones. No stars appear and it is not editable, despite the user being Creator level and the field being editable. Is anyone else having this issue with the Rating field on Android? Thanks, Sei

I have Lookup Field (“Status”) that has many records with multiple values per cell. I want to parse out these values using ARRAYJOIN(Status," | "). It only returns me the comma-separated values , without “|”. Any thoughts ?

Hi, Im new to airtable as I see it looks better than excel for doing table and database. I have issue with linking table that has one-to-many relationship. I have Movie Database with 3 tables; 1. Movie, 2. Genre and 3. MovieGenre. MovieGenre stores relationship of Movie and Genre. where 1 movie can have multiple Genre. The way I structure the table like below Movie_Table MovieID | Title 01 | Jurasic Park 02 | Indiana Jones Genre_table Genre_ID | Genre 01 | Action 02 | Adventure 03 | Fantasy MovieGenre Table MovieID | GenreID 01 | 01 01 | 03 02 | 01 02 | 02 I imported those 3 tables from excel. Now, what I want to do is to have Genre on my MovieTable, which populated automatically. I try to link Movie_table and MovieGenre, however

Is there a way to see the base level audit of who has done what? We have a large Base with specific filters and groupings set on different views, and someone keeps changing these filters and views. We’d like to know who is doing it so we can stop the behavior. This is not record level, it’s base level. Thank you.

Hello airtable community, When we use the airtable, we have a lot of fields. Lets say we have fields 1 to 10 and 1 is titled “apple” and 2 is “strawberry”. If there are too many fields, like 100, and there are like many charts in different folders, is it possible to search the title of the field? I don’t want to open the charts one by one, but want to find a way to search for the name of the field to quickly find the location. And is it possible to create a separate new folder with a chart that contains all of the fields and its data in one sheet? If we want to do that, does airtable allow us to do so? I would love to hear wisdoms from the people in this field.

I’m in the process of putting together Airtable for my agency. I used the registration form which I can embed on my Wix website. Then once it’s completed the information automatically goes into my airtable. Unfortunately I’m struggling to get it to work properly. I have the application form then it can be completed and submit. However the information is meant to go straight to the Airtable grid but it’s not working. I have done some research on Airtable and it says the following ‘Embedded forms use popups for redirects so you must allow popups on your site in order for forms to function properly’. I contacted Wix and they said to contact Airtable. The other option is to change from embedded to having nannies click a link to the form that opens a new browser page. I’m struggling to figure out how to do that. Any thoughts are welcome.

Hi! I’ve tried to read on my question since a lot of people also ask about it in the community but I’m still not very clear with the answer, so I will share my specific scenario to be sure. I’m setting up Airtable workspaces for a Company that will have 9 Pro users. By this, I initially assumed it would be $20/year per user. BUT… it got a little confusing with the different shared workspaces. So the 9 users are spread into 3 different departments: 3 users in HR, 3 users in IT, 3 users in Sales. Each team will have their own workspace. But there are some processes where the Sales Team needs to share certain Bases from their workspace to the 3 people in IT Team to complete a process. Does that mean, even though the 3 IT Team are already paid Pro users, there will be an additional $20*3 users for them to have Editor permissions in specific Sales Bases?

Hey Community: I built a pretty extensive base that tracks all the places a band has been. I want to be able to have a formula that will take this field’s output and make is a list. I will never know where the commas may fall for the names of the places. A sample result in my field is the following. , , , , , , , , , , “12-11-20 - New York, NY Rockefeller Center”, , , “10-27-18 - Bridgeport, CT BRYAC Restaurant & Raw Bar”, ,

To filter effectively I need to group records with the same records. Need a filter to show only records that fit certain criteria. IF QUOTE is blank OR SCOPE is blank My biggest obstacle is figuring how to run this filter based on records with the same WO#. If Airtable formulas were easy to write it’d look something like this: IF WO# is duplicated and Quote is blank or scope is blank- hide field. Any suggestions?

Has anyone else had a view fail to sync after syncing just fine for a long time? I have several views from several tables in a source base all syncing to another base. All but one are still fine. No matter what I do, that one table will not sync anymore! I’ve tried refreshing the sync, changing which view is synced, creating a new sync in the same recipient base, and even syncing that same view/table into other test bases, and it will not work anywhere. Airtable Support was baffled as well.

i just discovered that Airtable treats email addresses as case sensitive. when i tried to dedupe, it didn’t flag an identical email address because the record had been entered with different upper and lower case letters. is there a way to force it to view the email field as “not case sensitive” so that it identifies duplicate records?

I want to reorder fields in Airtable for all views. Is that possible? I currently only see the capability to reorder fields on the current view, which means I would have to manually reorder each view
