Good day all. Let me first start with our existing workflow. We currently are using QuestionPro but are switching back to our Google Suite Enterprise for surveys, and generating the data to a linked google sheets. My question is how I can have this integrated, if at first what we already have running OR if there’s a more efficient way to do this ALL in Airtable without being a painful transition and/or losing data. Still seeing all the cool benefits of using AT!

I would like to create a Form in another application which shows all of the possible options in a Multi-Select field. To do so, I need to pass to that application an array containing all of the unique values in the multi-select field. The ArrayUnique function works for a rollup on a per-record basis, but I need to summarize the field values in an entire colum. How can I do this?

I am trying to set up IFTTT to automatically record my Tweets but the Airtable connection seems broken. The instructions say that once the Base is connected, you can choose the Table from the dropdown. But that’s not what I get when I’m going through the process. The Base is shown but the Table field doesn’t give me a dropdown of my existing tables. Instead, it just says “Add Ingredient” which are the ingredients from the Tweet, not anything from Airtable. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or if I’m just not understanding it? It does not currently match the Airtable instructions on how to create this connection. Any help much appreciated. Cheers! Does anyone know an integration that will pull a Word Count from a linked Google Doc? For background, we create a record for each post in an editorial calendar. We have a field linking the Google Doc where the document lives and we’d like to add a field that shows the Word Count from the Google Doc. I’d love a way to pull that automatically rather than having to enter it by hand. Thoughts?

Hello, I’m wondering if there’s a way to highlight multiple cells in a table to get the sum quickly. In excel, I would hold “CTRL” and select the cells I need. It seems that I’m not able to do that in Airtable. I know you can highlight cells that are adjacent to each other, but the cells I need are not next to each other in this case. Thanks for any help!

To start this is mostly a feasibility question. I have an AirTable base that will include potential customer information for the purpose of putting together a sales agreement. The potential client database will be linked to a base that has 10-15 service types. These include name of the service, description, price etc. This is one (client base) to many (service base). We usually provide a sales proposal that will include multiple services. Thus, when we add the client, we would choose a number of services. Please see the scrrenshot below So, what we’ve like to do is create a document that will include the client information at the top, but include as the main body, the name, description, price and quantity of the item of each service we are pitching, one after the other. Hi all, As I understand (but I might wrong), a checkbox returns 1 or null. Shouldn’t it be returning 1 or 0 (“True” / “False” or “checked” / “unchecked”) to be more useful ? It would then be usable in pivot-tables or other kind of summaries. Thanks for your help ?

Hi! I have an issue with an automation that I’ve created today. The purpose of my automation is to get all the people without a specific status into a new sheet. But right now all the values are stored in one row instead of seperates. So, what I try to do is to get clients every week into an accountability sheet so I can follow up. Hey guys! I’m trying to build a 2-stage application form on my website. The first form simply collects their name/email. The second stage form asks 10 detailed questions. I tried using Airtable’s native “upon submission, redirect to URL” feature with the first form embedded on my website, but it unfortunately tries to open a pop-up rather than redirecting to the second form embedded. I’d like to keep users on my website, rather than taking them directly to airtable.com tl;dr how can I make it such that once the first form is submitted, users are guided to the second form still on my website?

I am trying to fill a filtered column with the same text value, but the table is filtered on the same column as ‘empty’. When I add the text to the first row/cell, the row then disappears because the cell is no longer empty. Then I have no way of automatically filling the remainder of the column with the same text value.

Hello everyone The new “Create junction table” app published by Airtable works like a charm, but there’s one downside: it creates all possible combinations of linked records from two tables, and doesn’t let you selectively create records based on views. To briefly explain the challenge, here is a use case: We have new students joining the organisation every few months. (Table = Students) We have multiple syllabuses in our organisation, with the assignments all configured in Airtable (Table = Assignments) We have a junction able of “Students x Assignments” that we populate for each new student group. When we get new group of, for example, mathematics students, we want to create new records in our junction table for “Recent joiners” , a view in the Students table and for “Maths Syllabus”, a view in the Assignments table. Small feedback to the Airtable Forum support team, please disable the auto-lock of topics. It often “ticks” at a bad time, and serves little purpose. I’ve been stuck against that wall reading many topics where I wanted to add valuable information, or ask for more precision. Hey! Our team is looking to use Airtable Forms for inputting data. We want to pre-fill data with the ATS template. We want to have 3 customized application forms where each has a pre-filled role. We have three roles: Product Manager, Software Engineer, Designer. If we shared a form that was customized with a description for the Product Manager role, they would not need to select a role from a dropdown. Is Airtable exploring prefilled variables?

Hi all! I’ve been an avid Airtable user for the past two years. Overal it works very well and I’m running a few startup tools through this. As of recently I started from scratch to build an order / administration system for kitchens. The products are built up through four different tables, as following: Tables Parts Combinations Kitchens Orders Parts → All unique parts used within the kitchens. Includes SKU, description, prices, stock management. Combinations → In order to put parts together in different quantities, this table combines those. Product name, link to Parts (one per line), Quantity and other information. Kitchens → Now in order to create one product consisting of all parts in the right quantities, I created this table to link to Combinations and make sure all combinations (part x quantity) are included. I’m managing a base and form that deals with product orders. Recently, I noticed that some fields were not previously on the form got added onto the form! Looking at the snapshots, this suddenly happened in the span of a day (where I did not access the form that much). The fields were metadata that only I should have access to, and as a result lost a fair bit of revenue. The most concerning thing at the moment is that I have no idea how this happened; for example with one of my bases, 6/8 of the additional metadata fields were added to my form (as opposed to all of them). I was thinking it was a misclick, but I don’t see how I could have misclicked 6 times. It could have also been that I pressed “add all”, but only a subset of the fields were not added. Hi, I’m trying to produce a document from records with attachments, including images and pdf files. Page Designer produces blurred pages, and nothing I try help (I tried changing the page dimentions and image dimensions, but it still produces images in very low resolution and weight). How can I do this using an app? (I wanted to use formstack, but it’s very expensive, about 100$ a month). thanks!

I was using Airtable fine earlier but as of the past hour, I can’t click on any record or edit any of the data in them. I’ve tried a few different bases and it’s the same issue. Also tried logging out and back in again. Airtable Status on Twitter says they had an issue affecting users 4 hours ago today but that issue is now resolve. Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas to fix it?

Hello, I have a table that I would like to show when certain things were done in each Apartment. For example, when we painted it or replaced the fridge etc. I have the formulas to insert the date these things occurred. At first, I used IF(Paint=BLANK(), BLANK(), TODAY()) but that would update the records every day. I then thought IF(Paint=BLANK(), BLANK(), LAST_MODIFIED_TIME()); however, I just went to one suite to say we just painted (we finished today) but the fridge date also updated to the last modified time. Let’s use 701 as an example. Below shows the fridge was replaced 4/6/2021 but as soon as I say we painted all dates will update Is there a way to keep the dates as is and up date only when the column in the formula is updated and n

We’re currently importing data from our website into Airtable. For some reason one of the Airtable sheets misses a line between every record imported from the website. Also, we have two columns - first name and last name. The last name appears correctly but “first name” is showing as “unnamed record”. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thank you

Hi Airtable Fam! I’m looking to find a formula that will help me make a dynamic status tracker. I have a Projects sheet connected to a Tasks sheet, in which Projects can connect to multiple tasks but not vice versa, and Tasks can be marked “Done” with a Checkbox. I’d like to have a Single Select column in my Projects sheet that says “To Do” when no checkboxes are checked, “Pending” when some but not all checkboxes are checked, and “Done” when all checkboxes are checked, so it’s easy to see how far along my team and I are with our projects, and which Tasks have yet to be completed. Hi! I have created a sync between two bases in Airtable. In the destination base, I want to create a form view with questions that should become new records in the synced table, but I can’t find the “form view” option. Is it possible to create a form view in a synced table? The new records from the form submissions should only stay in the destination base. Thank you in advance, Clara

Hey all I’m building a small system for delivering food from our street food stall. I’m using JotForm to populate the Airtable base, then Views to organise delivery routes etc. I’d like to display a particular delivery route (View) record by record on someone’s smart phone, so they see a formatted summary (Customer name, address, phone number, order details) as well as (ideally) a checkbox to click when the order has been delivered. And then a button to move to the next record. Is this possible within existing Airtable functionality and blocks? I’ve been looking at Page Designer and Forms, but I can’t see how to do this easily … Any advice is very welcome please!
