Hi there, Does anyone have experience with the Google Search API? Because the Airtable-internal search in the database can’t do fuzzy searches - in other words : Airtables search does only find exactly written keywords. Pretty old school, so the integration of the Google Search API would be a great solution. Thanks for your support Florian

I’ve recently been trying Notion, hoping it would solve some of my issues with files, spreadsheets, documents, projects that are spread across multiple platforms (including Airtable) in my digital universe, by trying to collect them all in a single “dashboard” or “launchpad” where I have access to everything from a single place. While initially falling in love with it, there’s just a few things that are limiting and therefore I want to continue using Airtable for the time being. However there is one thing that Notion does really well, and that’s the cross platform design. I recently bought an iPad for an upcoming project where I’ll be using the iPad as a shared device for team members to access the database and other shared tools, and one of the strongest selling points for me diving into Notion was how well it works on the iPad. The support page says: we can set it up [the Zap configuration] so that the Date of last contact field of our Airtable base gets updated with the Date data of the most recent triggering Gmail, and the Last message field of our Airtable base gets updated with the Body HTML of the most recent triggering Gmail. I have come across airtable as a resource to potentially solve a problem for a project. I am building a wedding car hire website so I want to be able to list all the available vehicles (probably in a gallery view) that can then be filtered so as an example A convertible red car in Nottinghamshire (Type Colour location) Once the list is filtered the client can then tick a checkbox on the cars of interest which would then form the enquiry form where they input wedding date contact details etc. is this possible and what are the steps to do so Thanks

Hi all! I’ve created this to send out emails from formula fields in my base. I’d like to add a BCC that’s dynamic (based on a collaborator field in the base) and a way to add the Attachments in the Attachments columns to my email. I have a large number of properties in a table (~3000) and am using the Map App to display their locations. When I open the app, I get a very long delay (as it plots each property?). A display top right of the map shows me how many remaining, with the spinning progress wheel. Even when I restrict my app to a filter view with only 100 or so properties it takes quite a while (2 or 3 min). Am I using this wrong? I guess it’s pretty handy displaying only a handfull of locations but how would I use it that way? Also, we’d like to download Street View images and save in Airtable. Possible? I’m guessing this is request and response only. Filter your selected properties into a view, open the app, see what you need. Click Street View if you want, but save nothing? Does anyone in the community have insights into how else to use this app?

I’m working on a new personnel base and I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how to execute a link I’d like to see. Here’s the scenario: I have 1 table of Staff. They are numbered based on the order I would like to hire them to work an event. So, if I need 5 people at an event, the staff numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be called in for the event. If I only need 2 people for the next event, it will still be staff #1 and 2. I have another table of Events. Here I put in the number of staff I need, and I would really like to build a way for it to auto pull and link the appropriate staff members. Any ideas?!

Hi friends! I just noticed the “Date” field automatically sets to Month/Day/Year. As a Canadian, this is super confusing lol. Is there a way to set it to Day/Month/Year, or even better, Year/Month/Day? Thanks!

Here is the use case scenario (I LOVE SYNC btw) I have a bunch of micro tables which I use as lists across the Company for different departments bases States Countries Month Number/Name 01-Jan Industry names I don’t care to track back to the micro table who is using them as they are there to cut down misspellings, and keep continuity for how some fields need to be presented. Is there a setting I am not understanding how to make it where the origin table that was shared to sync does not contain all the different entries across multiple tables and multiple bases. The reason I am doing it this way is in Excel I am able to point to one location for a list feature - it is the master list I only need to update and all the spreadsheets that use this list get the new information to be able to utilize. Hi all, I am hiring a staff member to work with my in my small business. I have a recruitment agency and naturally my database is so valuable to me. I would love to know if there is a way I can stop a collaborator from being able to download the data in my base? What is to stop a person from taking my database (either by copying and pasting or downloading) and starting their own recruitment business in the same, very specialised industry. No harsh comments please — I know I need to trust my future staff and sure I will eventually but in the meantime I also need to protect my intellectual property. Hey there! So, a bit of an interesting request. I’m looking for a way to do a “auto number/autofill style” Date field. I’m usually working at a lot of odd hours and my days really exist from 10 AM - 10 AM in a given 24 hour cycle. With that, the general view filtering methods of view based on “current day” don’t really work well for me- I’ve found some loop holes- but nothing perfect. Given that I also would like to track time/duration data from a lot of my tasks via day/date tagging, I figure its just useful to kill two birds with one stone and tag a pre-set date instead. A caveat being, is that i have tasks going out months in advance, and it would be great to have a way to simply create a pre-filled new record with a descending date based on the previous one. I’m still plugging away but havent come across anything to obvious yet! Thanks!

Hi, I was wondering if you could set up a pivot table in a new table instead of using the app that just visualizes the pivot table but doesn’t allow you to add field to that table. I hope I’m expressing myself clearly. This is the idea: I have a table with properties that have a field with the responsible realtor (table 1) I want a table which lists the realtors and how many properties are linked to each realtor (table 2) in table 2 I want to add fields with for example notes (long text) or a status (single select) This sounds quite simple but I don’t quite understand how this works in Airtable. I have a form that I have the following set up It’s a self serve purchase center. I have a condition - have you ever purchased from our company before if the person selects yes, I show the Sync field that contains all the companies we’ve done business with. User picks their company; I have the fields in the table to auto show through roll-up the full address for that company and the current status of their W9 from us - If I do manual entry through the VIEW in the table but not through the form. I can’t seem to get any way to trigger to show the address information for that Company that was selected in the form so the person can answer the “Is this Correct ?”. In my old days I built this entire form in Excel - so I know it can be done, in some automated way. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and answer.

I have emailed for help to but thought if anyone is having the same issue. A couple days ago i noticed my form entries werent updating on my base like usual thought maybe just a bit slow so i left it over the weekend but still having problems. I have my form entries linked to my email with automation and can see for ages now not all entries are being populated in my base only some. I have included examples of screenshots so you can see the difference in entries per date in my email vs my base? Anyone know how to fix this bug? Thanks

Hi! I see that from the “link to another record field” type in the grid view I can instead of choosing an existing record, create a new one. However, in the form view, for that same field, the only option is to choose from existing records. Is there anyway to fix this and for the form to have the same capability as the grid (choose existing record or create new record)? Thanks for your help!

I have created a table in a base that includes a rating field (1-5 stars). I am sharing it on a website. However, I want to do the following and not sure if there’s a way to do it. I want to be able to show on the website ONLY the records that have 5 stars and nothing else. I know I can tell the viewer to create a filter but that’s a hassle. I don’t want the viewer to do anything. Thanks.

Happy to do the following in both Airtable and Excel (and involving as many steps as necessary). I have two separate tables with a similar multiselect column in each, involving many values or “tags” as I call them: Table 1: Table 2: I want to add an additional column in Table 1 titled “Tags”. I’m trying to populate this column. If Table 2’s Product Tags can all be found in Table 1’s Product Tags (not an exact match, but rather if Table 1’s column contains the content from Table 2), then I would like to return the name of the brand (column A) from Table 2. I’m trying to design a label to be printed using Page Designer. How does one configure the font size for single and multi-select fields? Is that function not available yet? It seems the community has been asking for this for a couple of years now.
