Hello, I have a table containing close to 500 records. I am trying to set up chart apps to analyze various attributes of the data. When I install the app and fill out the settings, nothing displays, just a blank, white screen where the graph should be. I figure this might be due to the volume of records? Do charts or apps in general break when record volume exceeds a certain quantity? Has anyone else ran into this issue? Thanks!

Hi all, New to airtable so need a little bit of advice. I have set up a form on my website to collect data and sent it back to airtable. Issue I am having is that I am trying to work out how to move data based in a row to another record with matching text. So for example if I had a student enquiring about ‘Science for Beginners’ and another for ‘Advanced Maths’ I would like to add them to the relevant sheet under that course group. Is this possible to set up automatically with zapier etc? Look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Mark

When I try to set up a graph with the Charts app, nothing shows up in the graph area. I’ve tried different settings, I’ve turned off my adblock just in case, and still nothing. Does anyone know how to get the charts showing up?

When I’m creating a view and adding existing fields to that view they don’t show up in the order that I’m adding them. Sometimes it will show up in the middle of other fields that I’ve already added. And I can’t figure out the logic behind where it decides to put the field. I’d like the fields to be added in the order I select them.

I have several charts (from my Airtable data) - is there a way to export them onto one pdf/doc?

How do I limit file upload to ONE file? I’m telling people to upload a pdf document, but I want them to upload ONE document if it’s multiple pages, not separate pdfs. If I can limit the file upload to ONE, then I’m hoping that will force people to comply =)

In the pro version, I can choose to have the start time displayed next to the name of my event, but I can’t figure out how to make both the start and end time show up there. In my attached example the session runs from 8:00 - 10:00 but only ‘08’ shows up. I can also choose to have only the end time show up, but I want it to show 8:00 - 10:00. if i place a order for example 500 and then it is part shipped in 5 deliveries resulting in 5 invoices . can i have all involves values in one cell ( 100+100+100+100 ) this is then sum into new cell giving me a value of 400. i dont want to be creating new columns for every part invoice . as some order may come in anything up to 10 part shipments

I have an airtable base that is approaching the record number limit. The main driver of this growth is a table full of inbound emails that my service categorises, processes, extracts data from and generally munges. I only need to retain some of these emails, not all of them, and it will be fairly straightforward to write a filter to identify the keepers. Is there a best practice method to select the candidate records, back up the data, then delete those rows? I don’t think I’m looking for a normal backup solution for the entire base - at least that is a separate issue for me. What I want is a way to trim down my base by removing superfluous records, but keep the data from those records in case I need to access it in future.

We are a furniture moving company, so we have two date fields for every record: MOVE IN and MOVE OUT. Since Airtable’s mobile app doesn’t yet support a calendar view, I want to sync Airtable to a Google Calendar. But I want the MOVE IN dates to appear in green in Google Calendar and the MOVE OUT dates to appear in red in Google Calendar. I would also like the same color-coding to appear in Airtable. How can I achieve this?

Hi all, First of all, I’m discovering Vega lite and I have to say that I love it ! I’m trying to do a scatter plot, with (1) the dots being proportional to a value and (2) a text label next to each dot. I’m actually able to do each of these in isolation but when I try to do both at the same time, the labels inherit from the dot size. Is there a way to achieve this ? Hey everyone, I’d like to merge some records and retain anything linked. I have a table with companies and a table with agents. Some of the companies have more than one entry due to spelling errors or variances in formatting. I’d like to combine these records but retain the agents that are linked, and any other linked records or information. For example, in my companies table, I have “Clarence” and “Clarance”. They are both the same company and should be one record. A new record was created due to a spelling error. These companies have different agents linked to them, but I’d like them all to fall under the same company name in one record. Is this possible? Any help would be much appreciated. I’ve looking in other threads and online but haven’t been able to find a definitive answer. Thank you

Hi, I’ve been using Airtable for just over a month now. Now, I need to display the corresponding "Product Sell Name " so that it can be used in Page designer to create an invoice. (image attached below) The problem is: "Product Sell Name " is getting displayed against the column “line Items 2” but they are separated by commas. I can’t use them in the “page designer app” to create an invoice. Can you help me show, how to get the products name so that it can be used in creating an invoice? Regards, Chak

Hello, I’m trying to order by Pivot Table columns by months throughout multiple years while displaying just the month and year for example “January 2020, March 2021, April 2023”. The problem is that the only way it’ll sort properly is if I append the year and month to the front of it like “2020-01”, “2021-02”, “2023-04”. It makes it much less nice to read: The part highlighted in red is necessary for the sorting to work properly. The part highlighted in green is ideally the only part I would like to show. Is this at all possible currently?

I’ve got a button that runs a script that send a webhook to integromat and it works great but of course isnt allowed on IOS. Is there a workaround for the people in my group that only use their phones to interact with airtable? I was using a checkbox but that leaves integromat running every 10mins.

Hello all! I am working out on building a base for my analytical laboratory. I have say, 5 experiments producing 20 samples a day. Each sample might need to be run on many tools. Let’s say a GCMS, a NMR, FTIR (science stuff) I am trying to figure out how to best handle this. If this were a simple “create sample”->“run sample”->“Done” scenario, I wouldn’t be posting here, but it is more complex. I want the machine operator at the GCMS to be able to sit down each day, and see what items are in the to-do list for that tool, and I want that person to be able to mark as in-progress or complete. Same thing for all other operators. I am using a table for tools, and a table for samples. Each sample has a multilinked record to tools for to-do. Then, there is a multi-linked record for in-process, as well as complete. This all works, but it can be a bit clunky. The tool operator has to manually delete the “to-do” tool link, then create the “in progress” t

I’m looking for a way to have the gallery view only show the next 4 events coming up. I know I can filter by limiting the date but the event intervals (#s of days between things) are inconsistent so I am looking for a way to have it only show the next 4 events no matter when they are happening but still be sorted by the date. Then when one event date passes it drops off and the next event shows. Any ideas??

I have a base with several tables of school programs that students can sign up for through a Jotform. I do not want to merge these tables into one because each program has various data/fields that are unique to it. However, there are a set of fields that are the same, such as those concerning student personal info (email address, phone number, address, etc.). I would like a single script that can do some processing on such fields that are named the same across multiple tables using buttons. In scripting, typically I set the table explicitly via something like let table = base.getTable(“Table Name”); I am wondering if there is any way I can either: Get the table that a button was pressed in or Get the table that a record exists in I know I can make multiple copies of a script and just change the base.getTable() part, but I’d rather keep this as a single script that works on multiple tables. I am trying creating documents to publish online. I need students to complete fields in the documents. I wan to know if there is a simple way or a tool that can allow me to pull data from any of the following: Google Docs Microsoft Word Google Sheets Also, if you were looking to publish documents online, which is better Google Docs/MS Word. I know MS Word wins hands down for advanced document editing features. But I want to know in relation to online publishing and connecting with other apps and websites. Thank you.

Let’s say I have two fields sitting next to each other in a table. One is called Calculated and one is called Static. The Calculated field is, of course, a formula type field and the Static field is a currency type field. I want to automatically save the result of the Calculated field as a static number in the Static field. For example; if the Calculated field is a formula consisting of =10+5, then I want the static number 15 to appear in the Static field. I don’t want to formula itself in the Static field…just the result (15) of the formula from the Calculated field. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this in Airtable? Much appreciated.
