I received a link to input my available times into my organization’s AirTable Calendar, but the page keeps telling me to Sign Up or else I won’t be able to contribute anything. I had already signed in, but every time I clicked on this calendar link, I was unable to add anything link because it continuously told me that I wasn’t signed in! What should I do? Thank you so much!
Hi all, so my situation is I’ve got a bunch of automations in place for "if consult booked field is empty AND info session booked field is not empty, change the status field to “Info session booked no consult” and the like based on customer actions. But on the free plan I’m limited with the number of times it can be run per month so trying to find a way to make the status field a formula instead. I got this working for if both fields are empty so thought I was on the right track, but can’t work out how to change it for the info session booked field is not empty. Any help would be much appreciated. IF( AND( {Info Session Booked (session date)} = “”, OR( {Consult Booking Date} = “” ) ), “Info Session Booked - No Consult Yet” )
Is there a way to share a link for gantt just like how i can share a link to my table?
I’m trying to check if users input intervals in a correct usable way for my script to handle an input. I expect my users to write something like 4-50=£54, -4=£45, +50=£89 I’ve split up every part into an arrays. And I have the following array I want to check if the ranges overlap [“4-50”,"-4", “+50”] Does anyone know the best way to check if any of the ranges overlap?
Hi! I have a database of image link URLs in a CSV file and in google sheets. How do I automatically upload the database of these links directly to airtable in png image format? I will be very grateful for your help.
Hey everyone! My name is Jillian, and I work for Unito - a company that creates deep, two-way integrations between project management tools. I have some exciting news, Airtable is our newest integration! That means if you’re syncing Airtable to Jira or to any of our other 15+ tool integrations, you’ll be able to map all your most important work data and have it continuously updated in both tools, almost in real time! You can read about what you can get out of our Airtable integration, here. If you have any questions, I would be happy to help!
When searching a base, would love to have AT give priority within results to the primary field (e.g. Name). It seems to weight all fields equally, which is highly inefficient for our primary use cases. Any way to change the default?
Who can help us out. We made a database for people to search trough for hairproducts for the curly girl methode. We use the free version. We embedded it on our website. It works fine on laptop or pc , but on the mobile version the magnifying glass is not there. Not in grid or gallery view. So our public can not use our website on their mobile to search in the database. The magnifying glass is there when I use the share url and go to the airtable directly. But not in the embedded view. Is there a way to get the magnifying glass on the code? Or any way to get it so it works. Look at www.ishetcg.nl/test-kolommen we need it to work there. The direct url is Airtable - www.ishetcg.nl has the magnifying glass. This is what we want our users to see. We are not a compagny, just girls who want to help curly girls to find the good products. So no, we cant afford a paid account. I hope someone has a sollution for us.
I am working on automating a workflow that includes dates. I have a Task Specifications Table that defines the phase of work, the different tasks for that phase and associates estimated time frames for each task. For Example the first phase would be Onboarding and it would contain 4 tasks. So when a new person enters the system and I select the check box it adds four records to the Onboarding process table. From the creation date I wanted to be able to generate due dates referencing the estimated time frame from Task Spec Table. The tables are linked by the task name and subsequently looks up the estimated time frame. I have tried DATEDD({TaskName},+{TaskDuration},‘days’) and I get an error. If I type in the number from the Task Table associated with TaskDuration: DATEDD({TaskName},+3,‘days’) then it works. Any thoughts?
Hi Airtable Community, I’m trying to build a tool that will automate a complex schedule process. I run a music institute each summer, which runs for 5 weeks, with 35 musicians involved, all collaborating with one another. Musicians are assigned to small music groups, and are scheduled weekly for a certain amount of instruction, sometimes with their music groups, sometimes individually for lessons. They remain in the same music group for the entirety of the 5 weeks, but their coaching/instruction time varies week to week, in a pattern determined by our program director on a weekly basis. We’ve been utilizing macros in Excel to keep music groups together and alert when there are scheduling overlaps and coaching overlaps. But, I’m hoping that perhaps AirTable could help us automate some or more of the process. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
Is there a way to create a duplicate record button in a submission form? For instance, if a client is submitting a request and wants to create another request nearly identical, is there a way to set it up so they choose duplicate and it submits the form and creates another duplicate that can be changed with a new date for instance but rest of the previously entered information remaining? I hope that makes sense.
I don’t know if this is possible in Airtable, but I thought that I would ask anyways. In the screenshot below, you can see that we have a travel itinerary which is grouped by country name. The groups are sorted alphabetically by country name. However, we would actually like the groups to be sorted by a completely different field altogether. We would actually like the groups to be sorted by the “earliest start date” within each group. In other words, we want each group to appear in chronological date order (like an actual chronological travel itinerary), as opposed to alphabetical order of the country names. Is there any way to accomplish this in Airtable?
OK, with the risk of this being too big a question: I am working on porting a pretty massive scoring system of grant applications. Each application has let’s say 100 questions, each ranging from 2-15 possible answers (some multiple, some single select) and each answer is worth a certain number of points (integer). I’m thinking one transparent way to do it without massive scripting (which may be what we end up doing), is to have each answer in a linked table, and in that answer table, have a column that is the point value. Then use roll-up to calculate a score (except where the score has to choose the highest scoring component, which i can do with a formula). HOWEVER - I don’t want to have a different linked table for each question. SO - I can use the ‘Limit record selection to a view’ option to narrow the options for each question. HOWEVER, this would result in hundreds of views to cover every question in each of four program areas. Maybe I could break up the linked answer tables
Hello guys. Can you help me with a question? We assume I have: Table 1 | Name | John Table 2 | Office | Deliveryman Now I’m going to create a link for [Name: João] into Table 2: Table 1 | Name | Link Cargo | João | Deliveryman Table 2 | Cargo | Link Name | Delivery man | John What I want at the moment is that only [Name João], be included in Table 2. This would solve the whole problem and not create a link in Table 1. But so far so good, because I can hide the Link Title of Table 1. My difficulty is that when I delete [Link Name] from Table 2, there are always scattered and old links that are not automatically deleted. In my example, [Link Cargo] in Table 1 will remain there, even though I already deleted [Link Name] in Table 2. Is there a way to delete links from other tables automatically, when I delete only 1 link? Or at least manage those links that no longer serve me? Thanks!
Hello all. So I have been using Airtable since Christmas and it is really the answer to most of what I need and I am already excited about the functionality of Airtable and how it is going to help us. Quick back story - I work for an advertising agency as a Video Editor and I am using Airtable to create a database to monitor a number of things, including the projects we are working on, which hard drive they are on and how big the projects are (amongst many other features I have found on Airtable). So far what I have is one database, which has a table which monitors the projects - location, size, external links, etc - and another table which monitors the hard drives we use - so this records the data capacity, how much is used/available etc. I found a really helpful article to help me calculate the data available on each drive here (Forumla to add Hard Drive sizes) and it works perfectly in giving me the data on how much space is on each drive. In short, this formula helps to calculate t
Airtable should really allow Owners and Creators to limit the possibility of Editors creating non-personal views and sharing content. If I create a table that has specific views, I would want editors to only be able to edit records and not create new views that will only confuse my team. Also, if I didn’t create a shared view of a table, I don’t want editors to able to do so. This is important to maintain the security of my information.
I’m trying to access a base created by a previous contributor but can’t access it. Is there a way to recover it if I have the link?
when using my Galaxy S20 Android device i cannot @mention my colleagues , can some one help me in relation to this please
Hey everyone! I need to enable to Scripting app but my Enterprise Admin says he can’t access the Enterprise Admin Panel. If I understand correctly, he needs to go to the “Enterprise Admin Panel”, then go to “Settings”, then switch off the “Disable development of custom code” off and then I’ll be able to install it. For some reason, when he tries to install the app it says he can’t, even though he’s the admin. Am I missing something?
I wrote a script to create a record, but I’m trying to link it to another record (Customers table) when I create it. I have the Customer Name and ID field value, but AirTable doesn’t seem to like the format I’m using for the ID. I’m getting the error message, “P: Can’t create records: invalid cell value for field ‘Link To Customers’. Cell value has invalid format: must be an array. Linked records field value must be an array of objects with property ‘id’ corresponding to linked record id.” I’m not sure what format AirTable wants to see for the value of field ‘Link to Customers’. Thanks.
I need to send an email every day at 4am to a list of tagged employees. Is there an automation or app extension that I can build into my airtable to pull their emails and send them an automated email each morning. Is this possible to build out?
Is it possible to automatically forward a list of all new records within a given week? I would like to send a weekly update showing only the records that are added in the past week. How can I do this?
Hi all, We are trying to transfer our profiles from our previous interns to our new ones. We don’t want to make new profiles because we like the accounts these profiles own. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you.
How can I display other fields in a calendar View besides the Unique ID. Currently I only see the Unique ID on the calendar in a new calendar view. I do have a date field in the base that uses a date & Time. The Unique ID shows up in my cal view. In order for me to see any useful info in the calendar view I have to concatenate a few fields together for the unique ID field, only then do I get usable information in my calendar view. There must be a way to select a field to display in the calendar, but darned if I can find it. A simple explanation of what I am doing is…I have 20 people who can work a shift, and 3 shifts a day. One table with the shifts and one with the employees. shifts could use anything for the PK, employees I use Employee #. To assign a shift to a employee I simply select the employee # in the shifts table that links back to employees. But I can only see the unique ID or a concatenated vision of it in calendar view.
Has anyone gotten Vimeo video links to preview using the URL Preview App? They do not load for me. This comment (Media Field generating a duration in a new field - #6 by ScottWorld) mentions that Vimeo links from only paid Vimeo accounts can be previewed. I do have a paid Pro plan on Vimeo but my links still do not preview. Airtable support article about the URL Preview app talks about getting a “rewritten” URL from Vimeo. I wonder what that is? Here’s what it says: "Vimeo URLs Step 1: Generate share link in Vimeo Step 2: Use share link to copy rewritten URL" Thank you for your help!
