Hello, is it possible to move/export a tab from one base into a different base within the same Workspace without having to download the CSS and losing all of the attachments, formatting, etc.? And if that’s not possible, is it possible to merge two bases? Apologies if this is basic or has been answered, I could not locate any previous discussion on it. Thanks!
Hello Airtable Community ! I have a very simple question but can’t find a solution. When i create a new line in a Table, i want my status colunm (single choice field) to be the “live” by default (the first choice in the single choice field)
Hello Everyone, We have a QR code tenants can scan which will redirect them to a form to fill out. We are not really fans of the fact the form is in a airtable.com/blabla website instead of one of ours. The QR code is already printed and scattered around the community and it leads to an airtable.com/blabla website. Can we redirect the users after they scan the QR code to a custom website which has the form held on the airtable.com/blabla website? Thanks
I am totally stumped as to how approach this and looking for advice! We have an Airtable form that members of the public submit to ask for help from our nonprofit. The form creates a record in the table where we keep track of requests and our responses/outcomes. We need a way to identify and “match” records from the same household so we can track duplicate entries and multiple requests from the same household over time. One complicating factor is that the name, street address, email, and phone number fields are all entered manually by the submitter, so they are rarely identical for all records submitted by the same person (e.g. email address may be capitalized in one instance and not in another). Also, not everyone shares a phone number or email address. I’m attaching a screenshot of the form below for context. I did configure a Household ID field that does a mediocre job of assigning the an ID to records from members of the same household, but it’s definitely not foolproof and still d
Hi peeps I am new to Airtable and am starting to get the hang of counts, etc which I use to add up the number of items in a field. The fields are a form completed that will drop in a linked field from another table. I can add those up per row and get a sum per user like so: Each line is the completion of a form by a user with them adding their details each time. What I want to to now is either change the form to: A. add the same item to a user to create one line and one total B. subtract the sum of all the items the user added from a set total So if there are 50 items and they have gone in 3 times and chosen 15 over the 3 times, the total would reflect as 35 somewhere. This can be a single row or at the top of the sorted list, I dont mind. We just want to get all users to complete all tasks. Does anyone have any suggestions? Open to linking the users from another table if that helps. Thanks What I want to do now is add
Hi all! I have a base of student information that needs to be updated every semester when new students enroll. I get an excel spreadsheet from our registrar with the student information on it, but I’d like to pare it down to just the unique records before I import, or have Airtable only import unique records. I just dumped everything and used the Dedupe app last semester and it took me several hours to tidy everything up, so I’m not doing that again. Is there a quick way to only import unique records into Airtable?
Hello everyone, I found a way to get a nice view for my attendance tracking for my workers. However the process to enter the data is tedious. In the end, I want to see a view groupe by dates, then by attended / absent, and then by type of workers (foreman, worker, project manager, sub contractor etc.) Here is the view I came up with: However, the way I came up with this view is to add a new field for every worker on a specific day and this is a lot of work if I have 100+ workers on site. Is there a way to make this easier? I have a second table where I can toggle a worker to be either active or layed-off. Is it possible to automate a daily copy / paste of the active workers and then I can just go through the list and specify if this worker is present on site on that day or not? I tried to use one date with a link to multiple records, however there is not much I can do when it comes to grouping. See what I mean here: Any tips on how I can optimise my current way of getting that nice
I’m a researcher and I deal with biospecimens. One of the major tasks is to process and store specimens. A standard arrangement is to place samples in a storage for long-term keeping. I’ve drawn out what that looks like. Both the samples and the storages have multiple hierarchies. How would one model this in Airtable?
I am trying to create an application with Stacker using AirTable. When the user registers, they will need to complete a form which has conditional logic based on their answers. As an example, if they check a certain box, they will be required to attach a document. However, the attach function will be hidden until the box is checked. The application will be primarily used on mobile devices. From what I see, AirTable only allows conditional logic on desktop devices not mobile. I may be missing a simpler way to go about this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi ! I would like all collaborators to recieve notifications when they are asigned in a record. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I would also like people to be informed when records with their names are updated. How can I do ? Thank you !
Hi When I add a record in a filtered view, sometimes it automatically fills the record with the conditions to be in this view, sometimes not. I would like that it always automatically fills the record with the conditions, how can I do ? Thank you !
Hello - I have searched and tried to find an answer, but I have been unsuccessful, so I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere. My situation is this: I have various events, each event is a record. For each event, I had a list of the same 10 tasks that need to be accomplished (printing packets, nametags, confirming speakers, tech check, etc.). For those tasks, I need to assign someone to complete them. I can’t wrap my head around how to organize the task table and then create a Kanban view so that each event tasks are delineated. I was hoping to not use Trello for this and keep it all contained within Airtable, but not sure it’s possible or how to lay it out. Can anyone advise? With thanks, Jenn
I need a new column to do an if statement. Yes, if another field has changed from its original input value; no if it has not. But I have no idea how to do a validation check if the current value is the same as it first was added
As you can see from the image, I want to add a drop down option to multiple records. Is that possible? If not I need to manually select for a lot of records…
Hi everyone! Currently, I am using Airtable as a question bank for school. I have a number of records that I may choose from each time I am creating a worksheet (composed of a number of records). I have added an additional checkbox field for me to check the records I want before I transfer them to a separate table. For this second table, I have a python script written that compiles the records into a docx. Here’s the issue, I need the order of the selected records intact. However, when I copy and paste the selections on to the new table, the records lose the order. Just wondering if anyone faced a similar issue and how you manage to solve them. Would appreciate any inputs! Thank you in advance!
Hi, I’ve noticed before that the conditional coloring one carefully configures can disappear when certain changes to the fields involved are made. I just recently lost the color conditions on many views that were locked without manually removing the colors/fields. When exactly does that happen? The fields were not deleted and the views were not changed. Maybe edits to the underlying contents/formulas were made, but definitely not more. Could one explain to me when color conditions get deleted, so this can be prevented in the future?
I want to create a report for my customers to access that prompts them for custom parameters and then pass those params into an airtable query to generate a report. Is that possible? My thought is it would be a form to collect the info that returns a page designer… but I’m brand new to airtable and I can’t figure out how to do this.
Hello, Is there a way to have the Count and Specific Field data into one pivot table? Currently have this: and would like to have something like this, which can be easily done on Google sheets: Thanks!
If I add four collaborators to my Pro plan base, can they add other collaborators? If so, is there a permission setting to prevent this (both for security and cost reasons)?
Hi everyone! I created an org chart for my company and I was wondering if there was a way to condense it into a smaller view, taking the headshots out. It seems pretty spread out and we want a more condensed version to show our board. Thanks in advance!
Hi There, We currently use a piece of software to track our orders on a daily basis. I want to bring the raw data in and have it sort the line items together so I can create automated roll ups on clients and orders and products. Rather than manually linking the records is there an easy way to do this?
Hi All, very new to this and looking for some help. I’m looking to quickly see if a briefing has been completed or if any fields have been left empty (to then later report on this). Example I have 5 fields, if one of these fields is empty I want the output to be “incomplete”. I have been trying with this: IF({Message Name}=BLANK(),“Incomplete”,“Complete”) but this only works for me with one field. Any way I can check multiple fields to see if one of them is empty?
Hi all! Thanks in advance for any advice or help! We’ve got the following situation: We have a table with a Date field, so each entry has a date Each entry also has a checkbox field (so checked or unchecked) We would like to do the following: In another table, for each week get a sum of the number of entries in the other table that (a) occured during that week, and (b) have the checkbox checked Does anyone know how to do this? We’ve been playing with roll-ups and counts but we can’t seem to find a solution that doesn’t require linking to every entry in the table… Thank you!
Hello dears, i need a help. How to create more than 1 grid view within a table, whenever I modify one grid view change the other?
First of all: I am thrilled about Airtable for the filtering options, scripting blocks and great API! But there is one thing that is driving us mad: Sometimes if my colleage creates some new records, the day after they have somehow disappeared (they are not filtered - I have double checked)…so he creates some new records with the same content. But then some days later the original records reappear as by magic…so than we have duplicates :-/. Does anyone recognize this? And may there be a solution. I wouldn’t know how to avoid this. Best regards, Ronald from the Netherlands
