When a table is synced the field type of a formula is changed to long text (which makes sense). Is there also a way to change it to short text? Long Texts can’t be used in Pivot tables (but results of formulas can). Therefore I’m not able to create the same pivot table in the original and the synced table.

Hello everybody I’m a newbie on this platform, so please sorry if I didn’t find the answer for my question. I have 1 base with events for each client and I want to create another base for an overall view of diferent bases calendars. the main goal is to have a calendar with different teams for different clients merged to have a global view of every events that I have with different clients. hope that my question is clear, I will thank you in advanced for all the help.

Thanks in advance for any help! We need to find a way to import multiple icals and then be able to sort them into one of three calendars sorted by priority. For context, we need to find all football fixtures for several teams i.e. Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, PSG, AS Monaco etc. and then be able to prioritise certain games such as Champions League, regular league games, home and away, with the ability to easily move a certain fixture/event to a different priority if need be. The three calendars would then be shared amongst colleagues who can only view these calendars. If anyone has any information about how best to go about this, it would be much appreciated. Is there a way to pull in a PDF as an attachment (or even a downloadable link) in a mailing sent via SendGrid? Use case I have in mind: send individual tax receipt to individual members in a mass mailing. Many thanks for all help!

We have previously been committing these to a spreadsheet with associated CPanel logins and passwords for each domain and corresponding website. It was being used quite a bit for keeping tracking of where our domains are hosted as we have had them spread across several hosts. However due to recording additional attributes against each website (for instance development/production, domain expired, etc) the current system has become a bit unweildly. The other thing is that it doesn’t present the information in the way that everyone wants. Spreadsheet data table has started to become quite wide and someone is going to have to scroll sideways to get all the information they want. Does AirTable overcome these limitations? Can we have multiple views of the data? Would it be easy to search and sort? Is there a data row limitation on the free account that we should know about before we start? Thanks

I’m very new to airtable and trying to do what I imagine should be simple. I just want 7 rows with dates, starting with today, going forward 7 days. I want these rows to update every day so that I don’t have to do it manually. I’d like to be able to do something similar with hours of the day, showing the current hour of the day and listing the next 8 hours in each row. How can I accomplish this?

Hi Airtable Community, For a payroll automation base I’m developing, I need to figure out how to set a payroll date which will be 30 days after the first of the next month or the first of 2 months out, depending on net terms. For example, if someone logs time worked on 11/15/2020, and their payment terms are Net 30, the payment would be due to them by figuring out the first day of the next month, (12/1/2020), and adding 30 days which would be 12/31/2020. If someone logs time worked on 11/15/2020, and their payment terms are Net 60, the payment would be due to them by figuring out the first day of the next month, (12/1/2020), and adding 60 days which would be 1/30/2021 (or so I think). I’m trying to automate this calculation if possible. I’ve set up multiple calculation fields to take the number of the month, add 1, adjust if it’s past December. I have 2 rows in table A, each with a URL. I am linking them to one row in table B, then making a page builder app off Table B to aggregate the URLs into one nifty PDF. However, the links are not clickable on page builder. Is there a way to solve this?

Hello Airtable Community, I have never used Airtable and I am evaluating it to determine if it would meet my needs. I am looking to build a web app (using a no code tool) and am trying to determine the best backend to use. I am planning to build a social networking app. By its very nature, the hope is to gain a huge number of users on the app. The part I am a bit unclear about with regards the pricing structure of Airtable is that, will one license suffice for such a social networking app that would have many users? Or would Airtable require billing for every user? If one user license for the app would suffice, how can someone implement user level permissions, user logins and signups using Airtable? Also, is there a potential downside that Airtable could start to slow down as huge amounts of records (posts) are saved to Airtable? I would appreciate any guidance on my above questions. Thanks!

Just got a notification from Google Drive informing me that if your account is inactive for 2 years, all your data in Drive will be deleted. I’m wondering and haven’t been able to find the answer anywhere, is there anything similar with Airtable? Is my data stored forever, or will Airtable ever delete it, if it’s up there long enough?

Disclaimer: I have a basic understanding of Airtable. We created a database with a shareable link. We downloaded the descriptions app, but I can’t figure out how to get the description to show up in the shared view. Same goes for any other app. Can someone explain how to do this?

Is it possible? I need the timestamp feature that I can record the current time just with one or two click(s) but still can be modified manullay. I use ‘date’ field for this purpose but it displays date that I dont’t need. Duration field shows only time but it does not support one-click current time insertion. The only work-around I found is Column A: date field: 2020/12/15 17:56 Column B: formula filed: DATETIME_FORMAT(‘Column A’, ‘hh:mm’) There are two problems. I have to use two columns to show only one field Column B has a timezone issue. (I live in UTC+9 area. The column A has a local time but column B shows UTC time. So A is 2020/12/15 17:56, but B is 08:56 Thanks.

Hello All, As someone who knows nothing about JavaScript, I am trying to write a script that creates a one-to-many link between two tables. I found some code elsewhere on the forum and have modified it slightly. I have a “Facilities” table that lists out each facility from which we will be collecting data. I also have a “Results” table that has the results from all data collection at every facility. (This table is quite large and new records are added everyday.) The common link between these two tables is the Facility ID. I would like each Facility to have all their results linked (one-to-many relationship) in the “Facilities” table. Currently, I am able to run the following code and return a one-to-one link. I’m assuming that the output gets rewritten each times it goes through the FOR loop, resulting in only one output. Is there a way to modify the code to have it output multiple links instead of just one? Here is the code that I am using:

Hi! I’m new to airtable and I’m trying to transfer all of my databases over to this platform from access. One thing that I’ve really liked about access forms is that I can have the form value appear to the inputer as “yes” or “no”, or some other wording input like that, and then in the backend what gets filled into my database for “yes” would be something like 1, while “no” would be 0. So essentially what I’m wondering is with airtable forms is there a way that I can have these options on the front end but then have specified values filed into my table based on what the user chooses? I’m wondering if this scenario is possible - I cant seem to figure it out… Table(A) includes generic contact data: Email(Primary), Name, Phone#, Address, etc. Table(B) captures an event as a record. The use case I’m hoping to figure out is how to link Table(A) into Table(B) by populating either the Email OR Name. I’m familiar with the Lookup field, however, my understanding is that it can only be populated via field data pulled by the Primary Link(Email). I tried creating a 3rd table to link Name to Email but was ultimately unsuccessful in getting Table(A) to capture the record in Table(B). Any advice/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hello, we are entering a new phase of business. We operate an uber like business. We have a list of outer UK postcodes, with sub regions etc. We have around 400 companies / partners. We need to allow partners to sign up, and select the postcodes that they operate in, as well as define their prices for 3 services in these areas. Then I want to be able: a) to lookup a postcode and service and see who offers the lowest price service for that area b) to see all the carriers that operate in that area, this would be to distribute

Thought this was a no brainer, create 3 different views & lock them down. Example: 3 different yearbooks, one of three views applies to each yearbook. However, when I edit one it affects all of the views. Need to show only student pages that are related to each yearbook. In the lookup field, I pick a field to filter by and it works for one yearbook. But when I edit a second view (second yearbook) it changes the first view (first yearbook) to reflect the second view.

As in, businesses X, Y, Z each have separate cards in my CRM, but are also owned by Alphabet (and this relationship is visible when I open my Account card for X or Y etc) Thanks a/Community!

Is there a way to add a hyperlink in a Form? I’m creating a form to give donors multiple options to donate online. I’d like them to be able to select an option in the form (not the message page after the form is submitted) that links to a specific PayPal donation page based on their selection. Hello! I am trying to use Zapier, to take information gathered from an AirTable form to create an outbound text message. I have everything working except for the use of the date / time in the outbound text due to the Airtable format of date time (2020-12-17T06:00:00.00). Is there a way to change the outbound formatting of the date time to something more legible? Thanks in advance, Jackson
