Hi! I’m new to airtable and trying to use it to do some menu planning. Here’s what I have so far! https://airtable.com/invite/l?inviteId=invN8vHUKqsBc8OUu&inviteToken=cb4825266bf6ec64751c488bc8518294da66f8708064c3e58cb54bbd01889143 I have a table of Meals, which is going to be my list of all possible meals I like to have in rotation. I have a table for Ingredients, which is stuff I use to make meals. Meals have many ingredients, ingredients can belong to many meals. Ingredients also are linked to specific Grocery Stores where I like to buy those ingredients. I have a table for Grocery Stores. And last, I have a table for ‘this week’ (here Week 39), where I select WHICH meals to have this week. Here’s a screenshot of those: What I would LIKE TO do is to query this somehow to create a report that shows: for the meals selected in Week 39, list all the ingredients needed and for bonus points, sort that list by Grocery stores where I get that ingredient. Can you help me think thro
How do I remove the timestamp from this? IF({Appt Date},DATEADD({Appt Date},-2,‘days’), BLANK())
Our client secret stops working… Now it’s returning us this below data, which is effecting the Airtable users not able to authenticate their app on Appy Pie Connect. { “error”: { “type”: “NOT_FOUND” } }
Good morning everyone, I have a database of vegetables I purchased from several producers for my retail business. The database is structured as follow: one vegetable (table 1) is being procured at a price (table 2) in a specific order (table 3) from specific producer (table 4). I would need to get the past average cost of each vegetable for each producer, sth like an averageif (unit cost, past dates, producer A) To my understanding, only scripting can do that. And Im new to it. What script should I write ? Many thanks to everyone :)))) Good day !
There are two fields: 1. Category - Fruits, Vegetables. 2. Sub-Category - Apple, Mango, Potato, Onion. If I select Fruits then I should be able to see only Apple and Mango in next dropdown menu and if I select Vegetables then I should able to see only Potato and Onion in the next dropdown menu.
Hi all, I’m working on a project to build WiseCabin. I am manually adding tweets (the author name, the tweet text content, the images, etc) to airtable. We’ll be building the website on Webflow and so far I only know to add the content manually into Webflow CMS. This is obviously a very time consuming process. So perhaps my question is two fold. Is there a way I can basically grab all the contents on a embedded tweet (and its connected tweets) into Airtable, and then export the content into webflow CMS? We cannot use the embedded tweets because we will have to create our own formatting to display the tweets more akin to a Reddit list format. Thanks!
Hello My Awesome Community, I am wondering if I can grab Data from a live website like “IMDB”, I have the title Name " Movie" or “Series”, and I want the script when I run it to go surfing the IMDB database and search for certain data like Director Name, Production Year, Cast, winning nominations, Is there such a way or a script to apply that. I was thinking something like Fetch function or keywords Parser, I define some keywords and it garbs whatever after these words and sends them in specific fields in Airtable. Waiting for suggestions guys, Thank you.
Hello all, great to be on here, am loving the power of Airtable!! Is there a way to do the following : In a table, I have a “Single Select” Field with 5 Options, “Pitch 1” “Pitch 2” “Pitch 3” “Pitch 4” “Pitch 5” If I create a new record, the first field is a Date field, so I select a day, eg 11/01/2020 I then want to assign a “Pitch” from the “Single Select Field”, initially all 5 pitches are available to choose from. I select “Pitch 1” for this record. Record Complete. If I then create another record with the same date, there should now only be Pitches 2-5 available to choose from. i.e. the database has looked at this date and knows “Pitch 1” is used on this date so the single select will only show you the remaining Pitch options (Pitches 2-5) ? Does that make sense? I hope Im explaining it reasonably! Many thanks in advance for any info! Cheers Jon
Hey - I would love to figure out a way to use the Kanban view to show if two or more records are incompatible. I’m using the Kanban to display different categories of concrete ingredients that can lower the carbon content/climate impact of concrete mixes. Each ingredient has its own tile. Some of these ingredients can be combined, others cannot. Wondering with conditional logic if a special kanban column can be added where different ingredient tiles can be dragged, and if one is not compatible with others, all incompatible tiles turn red. Here’s a 40 sec video of me laying this idea out. Any ideas on if this is possible, and if yes, how it could be pulled off would be super helpful and appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Summary: I’m working on a basic sign up process. I’m sending a POST request with the user’s UID to a table called “Sessions” to create a new record. I wish to have a certain value returned if that UID exists on another table called “Users”, and a different value returned if it doesn’t exist. ex: So if I create a new record on “Sessions”, and the UID exists on table “Users”, on column RESULT I will get “User already exists on Users table”, and if it doesn’t exist RESULT will return “This is a new user”. I’m at a loss here at this point. Any ideas?
Hey Everyone: I am trying to set up a Send Summary button for my team so after a meeting it sends out the notes. I am trying to use the Open URL Action but the button stays greyed down and not active even though the button saves properly. URL Formula is this - “mailto:” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT({Attendees}) & “?subject=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(Meeting) & “&body=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT({Meeting Summary})
Is there a way to export the list of billable collaborators a workspace owner can see in workspace settings? I’m looking for a way to pull a csv listing billable collaborators and the bases they have access to, similar to the workspace settings page, just in an external file.
Hello! I am new to Airtable, and I am hoping I can get some assistance. I am in charge of managing hearing lists for a law firm. I am looking for a way to take information from a .csv and list it in a way where you have the date of the hearing and then all of the hearings listed for that day and some additional information. They want it in a list, not in a calendar form. I am trying to figure out a way to automate it by creating a template where all I have to do is import the monthly CSV and run the app and the template auto-generates. Does such a thing exist? I have no problem doing the coding / generating the template (if it is not too complex… I know some basics, but I am by no means a coder), but I have no idea where to start. Thanks you for all of your help in advance!
I’d like to use Airtable to do production / batch / inventory tracking for a manufacturing company. We currently use digital logs (google sheets) to track our raw material intake, bulk production, secondary production, & product packaging. In a perfect world we would like a simple system that take that data and does a couple of things: Track production / packaging output based on batch number, product name, or product type Report on-hand inventory, filterable by product type or name Report production / packaging by date range Pull reports of total production / packaging based on batch ID Pull reports of total production / packaging based on vendor (multiple batch IDs) I looked for some templates that were close, but didn’t find something out there that was easily modifiable. So I guess I’m really looking for someone to build this for me (for pay, of course). Any takers?
Am I going crazy? As of this afternoon, when I double-click on field headers, only the field title goes into edit mode. Until now, double-clicking the field header would open the customize field type modal. If anyone from Airtable HQ is seeing this and this was an intentional decision, PLEASE change it back. It’s killing my workflow when building bases with many, many fields.
Or better yet, a daily report of all the records that were deleted yesterday?
Hello, Me and my friend playing “neighborhood” soccer and we want an automatic mechanism that will build equal teams, based on a score for each player for these stats: Speed, Pass, Shoot, Defense. We are 20 people and we play 5X5, so its 4 teams. Each player will receive a form and he will fill each stat (Pass, Speed, etc) for every player from the group. What do I need to do for creating 4 equal teams based on this score, and how do I create the form to be the most comfortable for filling (I don’t want that every player will fill 19 different forms)? In the end, I want to create 4 equal score teams that will be created automatically :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you!
I use Airtable as a CRM but I need to fill more data of my customers. I want to ask them to fill those fields that are missing using a web form. How can I make it?
Hi there, I am new to Airtable and loving the capability however I thought that it would be simple to display the table that I am creating with particular columns visible in a clear A4 printable document. It is proving impossible or I have to sign up to multiple apps just to do it that is way over budget for the few that I may have to do per month. Basically I just need to print a table with columns visible and an image in each column for my business. It is to show clients what item they are having (for instance and oven) then a clickable link, some sizes/specs etc and then a tick box to approve. I have set it all up but cannot work out how to get this table to print to PDF that is legible and dynamic so the columns arent cutting off half of the images etc. I may only get 5 or 6 lines per page and the document may be around 30pages long, but I definitely need a print option. Page Designer doesnt seem to be the right tool, unless I am mistaken? I am also looking at solutions that can be
I am looking to pseudo-automate a stand-up/status message from about 25-30 people on a team. My plan is to schedule a slack automated message weekly at a certain time that links out to an airtable form. The form is linked to a status collection table that would collect these over time. The person would select their name from a drop down, a general status (choice of 4, linked to single select in table), the projects they’re working on (linked to a projects table), and a few notes fields. Ideally I want to show the latest update from a person. We’d then have another view of this data, filtered to show the updated entries. Currently I’m doing this by using Date of Entry > last seven days. However - the question I have - is there a way to instead simple show the latest record by person? For example currently if a person fills this form out 3 times in a week, the view will show all three records. But I only want the last update from a person.
Hi. I have a google sheet with students roll numbers, names, subjects & marks. My questions is: If I shift all this data to airtable, will it be possible to create a form which can be shared with students. The particular form will have only one field, roll number. Once the student enters it and submits the form, the next page/section they receive their marks for the particular semester. Is this possible?
Hi. I have one large database with clients. At different stages of the sales funnel, different managers interact with the client. I want the manager to be able to see the client card only when he became a collaborator. Is it possible?
Hi Since I assign jobs to our team, I end up getting tons of Airtable email notifications for all the back and forth comments that occur with that job. Is there a setting I can select to ONLY receive an email notification when someone @ mentions me? Looks like current settings only allow to fully turn on or off all email notifications. It would be extremely cumbersome for me to have to go into each task and “unwatch” every one I may have commented on. I’m hoping to fine tune that and only receive emails for @ mentions or when a job is assigned to me. Doable??? Thanks
I am using Airtable to organize/display entries in a video competition. Applicants will submit a video as an attachment in a form, and entries will be displayed on the competition’s website. I’m not able to use Youtube or a similar hosting site. I’m seeking inspiration if this has been done nicely before: Are there examples of using Airtable to organize videos (or other media) to be displayed on a website? To display the videos on the site, I’ve set up a gallery view with the attached videos as a visible field, and embedded it into the competition’s website. I’m interested in learning if there is a better way to obtain a similar display. Ideally, we would provide some kind of comment section, where viewers (not on our Airtable team) can submit questions about the projects, have them displayed publicly, and have someone respond to the questions. Has Airtable been used to organize comments in this way? I could link out to a different site for this (e.g., utilizing Google Docs), but I
I have a list of names of people enrolled in my class. Is there an easy way to place them into randomized groups of 5? Ideally, I could do this to have gender-balanced groups. Any suggestions would be welcome.
