Hello - I’m an admitted newbie and am having a hard time figuring out how to link the tables in a base that I am using. I am a professional genealogist and take record retrieval requests - could be a number of different kinds of records with different fields needed for information within each. Thank you in advance for your assistance :slightly_smiling_face: When I take a record request, the Client information stays the same, and I want to ask some core questions first as to the type of record retrieval request, what kind of copy they need, when they need it, etc. then LINK that initial request entry that contains the client info over to the specific kind of record they are requesting (each is it’s own table). I thought that should be through the unique auto number but then I need to carry the name, email and phone over, but I’m not seeming to make that work? Hi! I’m setting up a form. One question of the form is a drop down showing options from another table (linked table). When I look at the drop down options from the form view, I see the multiple look up fields. However, when I look at the drop down on the live form, I only see the first column of the looked up record. How can I display more fields so this selector matches the one I see in the form view? Hi, I’m looking for assistance in creating a formula that can show all our options for Inventory Location - Basically, at an Account, In House, or with a one-time buyer (that I don’t want to create an entire account for.) If an Account is chosen (through a linked field), return that value. If a value is input in a separate Retail Buyer column (single line text), return that value. If both those fields are empty, return text “In House.” The simple IF formula works to show Account or “In House”: IF({Account}>"", {Account}, “In House”) …but I can’t figure out how to turn this into a nested formula that will provide the third option of a typed in Retail Buyer. Struggling with parabola ‘send to api’ module while trying to update an airtable table. I’m doing an update (patch) and I’m trying to send some numerical values. { "records": [ { "id": "{inventory record id}", "fields": { "sku":"{sku}", "in stock":"{in stock}", "prev stock":"{prev stock}", "updated":"{updated}" } } ] } If I send this I get an error stating that the ‘in stock’ and ‘prev stock’ can’t accept the values (because airtable is seeing the values as text trying to be inserted into a number field). This works fine when creating records (Post) as I use typecast: true. It doesn’t work for Patch though even if I add typecast: true. It throws a different error. Hallo I would like to generate a simple invoice or delivery note from an order form in airtable I have a small plant shop. www.pflanzerei-zuerich.ch Customers should be able to pic some plants from a database and send me a order. I would like to print this order and prepare the plants for pick-up. I tryed already with some items but was not able to integrate the wished quantity of items, the price and the final calculaltion. Is there a template for this problem. I think it is the basic need every little store has. My goal would be, that the customer can click in the inventory gallery (form) on some items, add quantity and send me this order form with his name and adress… Below you will see some screenhots and links. This window shows up when I click the link from my calendar. From here, I shoudl be able to jump to the record from here and edit it easily, rather than look for the record and then do the stuff manually. Please look into this.

Question about the Jotform integration: can one form entry create multiple new records in Airtable? Or is the integration restricted to creating one new record per form entry? Thanks!

I’m sure there are others out there using AirTable as a citation manager, so I hope someone can help me with this. I have a field for citations (thanks AirTable for adding rich text so I could add italics!) and it seems like it should be simple to export them into a word processing document (Google Docs is my preference, but sometimes Word). Here is what I have: If I Download CSV, I get the whole table. If I use a view with only the citation column, I still have the primary column to deal with. I tried making a block, but I can’t figure out how to put the same field of multiple records on the same page. Also, everything stays in its “field box”(?) instead of one big text box. I’m just a librarian/Ph.D Student who is ashamed not to have figured this out on my own! Please help me before I have to start my dissertation! :winking_face: :winking

just like the status options you can click cross btn , there should be easy way to remove the follow up date

On the expanded view, on the desktop you can hide fields; however, in the iPad version this feature is missing. Hiding fields allows for a cleaner viewing experience and hides data we don’t want seen. Is there a timeline for adding this feature? Also, does anyone have a current workaround to accomplish the same thing? I notice a 2016 thread with this request but didn’t see a reply. On the expanded view, on the desktop you can hide fields; however, in the iPad version this feature is missing. This is terrible as there are certain fields I don’t want shown and seriously clutters up the screen. Airtable, is this even on the radar for adding? This is a pretty important feature when trying to roll out on an iPad. Anyone know of a work around? This has been a feature request as far back as 2016 (https://community.airtable.com/t/is-it-possible-to-hide-fields-in-a-view-on-the-mobile-app/14511) but that thread was closed. Not sure why. If it was answered on a different thread I must be missing it. Is it possible to hide fields in a expanded view on the mobile app?

Story: I create 2 forms (F1 & F2) to receive feedback from 2 products (they are linked to our products with the buttons of “report a problem”). Each form has different fields. So when user posts issue from F1, there is a record in airtable with Source = F1 for example. I can know where the issue from. Also it is integrate with zapier to send email with different format for each source. Issue: I can’t set Source = F1 for form 1 and Source = F2 for form 2 by default? Dev team can help to set default value for it but it is should be visible in the form. The expected result: can be able to set default value for each field defined in a form view can be able to add a field in a form and make it hidden to user Is it possible? or you have any suggestion, please tell me. Ok this is doing my head in - I am trying to make a database of each lead that comes to us - so they call up and we take their details (it is inputted into our main Airtable grid), then the lead adds to that information in a Pre-Appointment Form that is sent to them & finally an Appointment form is completed. I need all this information to feed into one line entry but at the moment it is coming up in three separate entries. Can anyone help?

I have a base with 3 tables. I want to share 2 of them with my employees. I know I can share them separately, but I have them linked, so I want them to be able to see the linked records. Alternatively, I know I could just move the 1 table I don’t want them to see into it’s own private base, but I really want them all together for me, just not my employees. Thanks

Yesterday I wanted to generate a risk register (multiple records-lines). This a a report based on a large table of risks, and when printed takes multiple pages to contain all records. In the block “Page Designer” It generates the report, but just one page, not containing all records. Can somebody assist me on which settings to use to have a fulle report with all records, regardless the number of pages?

I’m at PBS NewsHour. I’m helping design a base for a media program in which we keep track of assets (videos, clips, release forms, fonts, photos). We’ll be making submission Forms for each. What would be a good primary key for such a table? Do we need each form to include that field or can it be left blank or somehow automatically filled by airtable? Cheers Eli

Hello ~ We are having some INTERMITTENT integration issues with JotForm and Airtable. Although JotForm and Airtable are syncing properly using the 3rd party interface on JotForm, we have experienced a few (roughly 2%) form submissions that are not updating into Airtable. We haven’t been able to diagnose this issue very well b/c it is intermittent. It’s possible that Airtable is not updating when Airtable is not open on our browser window. In other words, when the JotForm receives a submission while Airtable is closed that record is not created. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Just to be clear, we are creating records just fine 98% of the time with the same form being tested. Thank You! Eric D.

Hi all, I can’t find any sign of an answer so thought I’d try to community. I have got the hang of the Page Desinger block and even mastered multiple pages. However, when I go to print I lose all my formatting - specifically border and text weights. Am I doing something wrong or can Airtable not convert Page Deisgner to Print? This seems counter intutitve after having all the functionality to set weights. Any thoughts? Thanks Megan

Hi I had a view in one of my sheets and the view just went missing. I don’t know where it went. Do you know how to retrieve a lost view? not a lost base but a view within that table.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question… How do I make a spreadsheet? Like Google sheets? Air Table: I read it was like a spreadsheet but much better. All I need for the moment though is just the basic spreadsheet. I’m sure I’ll get round to using the more advanced items later. Thanks.

Hello, I’d like to know if it’s possible to post or embed a record from a page designer block to a website? For example, we use the page designer block to create a price list. Is it possible to post this as a pdf download link on our site so it’s always up to date automatically?

I have a form built to have orders placed, we have a linked table of member shops, there are around 6,000 shops, Currently it only shows the shop names on the list. Many of the shops have similar names. Is there a way to get the dropdown list to also show the city, customer number, Owner name to help confirm which shop is ordering?
