Hello, Is there a way to show Airtable user comments (maybe the last update) in the page designer block? I’m not seeing a corresponding field, but thought there may be a hack… Thank you! Rockie

Thanks in advance for any answers I might get to this. In summary I have: 1 Table 1 Grid View with all the data 1 Grid View with the trigger for zapier (Last Modified Time is Today) What zapier does is when I get a new record on the “Trigger” view it sends an email to all salespeople. My “problem” is, I updated a record on the Grid View with all the data and the Last Modified Time is Today but it didn’t send the email as it usually does. Is it because it isn’t actually a new record, and just an update? Is that why it didn’t work for that specific result?

I know that there is a find and replace option which lets you find and then replace with text you write in, but is there a way to have a script search through a table to find a record then replace some of the data (not the stuff searched for) with datd searched for and found on another table. i.e Rather than replace (X) with (Y), replace (Whatever is in field A on a specific record) with (something found in Field B on a linked record) which is on an second table.

It can be one using Coupler.io or some paid Airtable addon but I am looking for ways to do that with Integromat (free version). (Zapier doesn’t offer free multi-levels, so Integromat is the only option in town offering for free multilevel flow albeit with limited number of runs). Airtable stores images (and attachments) in one field together separated by commas. I can instruct Integromat to only retrieve the URL’s but they are all in the same cell in Google Sheets. (So ULR1,URL2,URL3…URLx all together). I wish the integration included instructions how to deal with that to separate. I’m trying to play with text various tools in Integromat but I don’t know how to make it work because Integromat instructions lack examples of scenarios and results and there is no guidance how to create flows (compared to Zapier). I want URL1 be in separate column, URL2 in separate column, etc… As I said works fine with Coupler addon but I am trying to do with Intromat. If I can get under 3 credits per succ

I can’t get the page designer to print in color or export to pdf in color. Also, in the print preview on the screen, it looks perfectly sized, but when I print, everything is squished into the top left 50% of the page. Yes, I’ve checked my printer settings. anyone have any idea? thanks!

Curious to know if Airtable natively allows manual exporting and/or importing of workspaces and/or bases. Is this possible? Thanks! John

Hello! I am new airtable user and going through the support videos now, can you please help me with my db. My problem: I have created a product guide. There are 5 tables currently, 3 imp ones are company, products, product subtype and each table has a primary and foreign key. Some tables have multiple foreign keys. I want to create an output block ( not sure what to call it) where the user has to answer 3 questions about the 3 tables ( preferably from a drop list that shows all values of the table) ex: Q1 What company are you looking for? and Dropdown shows Honda, Toyota Based on the answer from 3 questions, I want to display a specific set of data that is available based on his choices. Ex: If they say Company = Honda, Product = Car, Product_subtype = suv my output should be all Honda suvs and click on that should get them all the specs. Phew! Long question. Please help!!

Hi All, I am hoping someone may have a good way to work this out. I have a table in which there is a link to another table based on the Job Title of a particular entry on the first table. In the second table, there are a number of other fields that are associated with that Job Title, including a rich text field that includes some possible information that MAY or MAY NOT apply to one of the entries in the first table. I have written a formula in the first table to determine whether or not these fields in the second table will apply to the entry in the first table. The goal is to be able to use SendGrid to alter the email message we send to the person in the first table based on the results of the formula that I have written. I have had to use a Lookup field to grab that “potential” information from the second table and bring it forward to the first table. Hi everyone! My coding skills are pretty limited :pensive: Here’s my problem: I have 2 tables. Table 1: a list of companies (records) with various fields. Table 2: I use this table to perform various statistics on all the companies in table 1 through many “Count” fields. Both tables are linked: in table 1, I have field with a “Stats” for each record. That field is linked to table 2 where I only have one record (“Stats”). My problem: every time I create a new record in table 1, I have to populate the linked field with “Stats” to make sure my stats in table 2 are updated. It’s OK to do that manually for a few new records, but I have to enter dozens of new records a day. I am looking for a simple script that would automatically populate my linked field in table 1 with “Stats” (i.e link it to the sole record ID of the record in table 2). I’m trying to make a block chart that has “status” (a single select field) on the x axis and “production time”(a duration field) on the y axis. But when I select status, production time is grayed out, why? What I’m going for is a bar graph that shows how much production time is sitting in each status. So 2 hours of production time in waiting on approval. Or 3 hours of production time sitting in Designing.

Hi, I have made a table with all our equipment. This is linked to another planning table where I can book the equipment to different projekts. When the equipment is booked on several projekts the start and end feilds on my equipment table(that also is linked from my planning table) will view several dates. I’ve tried to do a calendar view based on all the start and end dates. When I do that the calendar will only show the equipment that has one start/end date. The Equipment that has more than one start/end date will not show up in the calendar. Does anyone have a solution for this? I run a few forums and one of the things we do monthly, is count how many posts someone has made on that forum. We keep a running count of how many “posts” someone does each month. Every month we are forced to input the information manually which can be a massive amount of time but it’s simply just a number and I was wondering if there was a way to have Airtable grab that information.

hello guys. I’m looking for a way to make a spreadsheet with scheduling my daily tasks, studies etc. I would like to specify start and end time for each activity and have it all in a calendar view. It is very important to me that I have a monthly summary with the tasks performed in the month and sum of the number of hours that were used in the month, piling up for each activity. I need help to do this. Hello, with the new custom blocks or automation feature, is it possible to make a script that will automatically change a single-select field of all records (or records in a certain view) to a certain value? It serves the same purpose as the batch-update block, but the batch update block runs manually. I’m looking for something that runs automatically at a specified time (e.g. at 12 am every night) with the automation feature or through custom blocks Any help in this will be very much appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:

My base keeps track of where our films are licensed. I can filter and get a list of titles that are available in a specific territory. For example if I need a list of available titles for Italy I tell it to show we me things that don’t have Italy marked. What I want to do now is filter in such a way that I can tell where a film hasn’t been licensed yet in the whole world, to see where the holes are that we can still offer it. Any ideas how I might do this? Thank you!

hi guys! i’m trying to write a script that will check my google calendar for time availability without having to sinchronize my whole calendar. basically when the script input is the date and duration of a project, it fetches the data relative to the presence/duration for an available time slot (using “at work” events in my calendar) on the given date and then assigns a “first available date” to the project based on the presence and duration of said “at work” events any of you know if there is an easy way of implementing the ability for the script block to interface with google api or ical and retrieve the data (presence of an available “at work” event and its duration) ideally this would give me the freedom to move around time slots and the script only checks whenever it is run. the real problem has been making it possible for airtable to go and fetch the data from the calendar. thanks in advance S.

I’m having some trouble navigating in the grid when editing a long text field that has rich text turned on. In a normal long text field, tabbing will take me to the next field. With rich text on, it just inserts a tab. How do you go to the next field from a long text field with rich text enabled?

Hi all, I have been assigned to set up a table through AirTable for a mobile app team I am a part of. I do not have that many technical skills but have used Excel frequently. Unfortunately we are all still learning with AirTable and I have run into an issue that I cannot seem to figure out the answer to. We have a base that contains a table called “Users.” We have configured our API to automatically update this table every time a new user joins and add them to it. I am working on another table in the same base that only lists users and characteristics from specific ZIP codes. The goal is to have this table update in real time so that we can see users from these ZIP codes only instead of digging through the master Users table. I’ll refer to the other table as “ZIPs” for clarity purposes. Here is my issue: I have used a Linked column to bring certain users over to the ZIPs table and added several Lookup columns to pull certain pieces of information from each of those users. Hi, I am attempting to add another table in addition to the “furniture” table, say one called “appliances” however I noticed it breaks the entire ordering and pricing section because you can only link one table per field/column. So, for example, it can only grab pricing from the Funiture section and you cannot have any other sections. Has anyone discovered a workaround or a different way yo set up my table? It really does have to have separate tables so my front-end API can pull each table by category.

I’m having a heck of a time trying to create a sort of CRM in Airtable. I have a table for contacts (faculty names) and another table for courses. I’m trying to link the courses table to the faculty table by using the faculty ids from our directory. The goal of this would be for the records to match up so that I can see “so and so is teaching this course and here is their faculty info”. When I “link to a record” and pair the primary key from the faculty table – it automatically creates them new instead of linking to existing. What the heck am I doing wrong here? No matter what order I try and do it in – it always seems to result in that.

Hi, in the screenshot below, i have a start date field and a formula field that give the number of seconds of the moment (an end date field exists but is hidden). I would like to get the duration by day (and/or year/month/week… you get the idea) but can’t find a way to do it automatically. What i tried so far (in the day case): Create a “Days” table with the primary field in the format “YYYY-MM-DD”. It can be populated quickly with auto number field and a formula primary field. Create a “Link to another record” field in the “Moments” table, linked to the “Days” table. Create a rollup field in the “Days” table based on the duration field of the “Moments” table with the sum aggregation function. In that configuration, when a new moment is created and a new start date is entered, i will have to enter manually the day of the start date in the linked field. That way, in the “Days” table the rollup field give me the sum by day i want. But, if i also need week/month/year sums, i will have
