I currently have a base sync for which I want to reverse the direction of that sync–so that the source table is now the destination table and vice versa. To do this, can I simply delete the URLs in the remote record URL field and switch the source/destination tables?

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to dublicate data from a table to another one (with more fields) For example a table called STUDENTS (with students informations) And another one called MARKS (for students marks), so basically student information must be in MARKS table too. and if I update a record in a table the record must be updated automatically in other one! How can I do that please?

I am looking for a way to essentially reproduce the Airtable form within slack. I.e. create a slack app that emulates an Airtable form whereby I can fill out the form and push data into Slack. Has anyone tried to accomplish something like this? I am familiar with the Zapier push integration and /cmd line options but I haven’t yet seen a good example of a way to push structured data from slack into Airtable in a way that emulates the correpsonding Airtable form.

Hi. I’m setting up a base that has data relevant to different suppliers and adding blocks to show headcount, chart of headcount by skill type etc. It is possible to set up blocks in a dashboard that are only relevant to the view being accessed, i.e. if i’m in the overall resource list I see blocks reflecting all data. If I access a specific supplier view (within the same base) I only see blocks reflecting data for that supplier? Hope that makes sense!

I want to create a view that only shows the last 8 entries. The reason why I’m not satisfied with just sorting by time created and just looking at the top 8 is because this is going to be a public gallery view for users. I know I can create a separate checkbox field and give a check mark to the last 8, but I don’t want to manually check off boxes. Is this possible?

I have a form in Jotform that contains a text, note and image field, when integrated with Airtable into an add-on field, the text and notes are added well, but the image is not added.

Dear AT community, Doing inventory. I have 3 tables with a list of items, each having their quantities, re-order levels, price, etc. Reason for 3 separate tables below. Looking to create a combined “shopping view” - items from all 3 tables that are below re-order quantities. What is the best way to build this view? Context - Each table has a re-order level column (1/0), that calculates based on a formula. Each table has a corresponding “shopping” view that is filtered on items where re-order level =1. The items are separated into tables by consumption types. Table 1 consists of items measured in numbers/units, 2 has items measured by weights and 3 by lifespan. I could do these as separate columns in a single table but I figured 3 separate tables will make for clean design. Also, curious to learn creating a single view from multiple tables. Hi new to Airtable, and getting stumped combining data on 1 table from 2 other tables. using 1 table to reference another table. The setup is: I have 3 tables Staff/Projects/Billing, in the projects table I assign staff to a project and count the hours in the staff table I have each staff member and their rate and location in the billing table I list a billing line item link it to a project and then from the projects table I pull in the assigned staff member and the hours worked. I then want to perform a lookup on the staff table using the staff name pulled from the projects table, using this to get the country and the price. But this is where I am getting stumped. The obvious answer is that I pull the staff data to the projects table and then pull that data again to the billing table, but I want to avoid the doubling up if possible as in the long term this will be used on a largish database so any optimization I can achieve will help. FYI in this situation, linked columns are single

I have .docx files in attachment field that fail to render a preview. Wouldn’t be a problem if I could download it and open in MS Word but there is no option to download the file. How can I solve this?

Imagine you have a long text field with rich text enabled that’s called Notes. You have a form view with shared link https://airtable.com/baseid. How do you prefill the Notes field with markdown formatted content? When I prefill with markdown formatted text, it get’s processed as plain text. For example: https://airtable.com/baseid?prefill_Notes=Test%20list%0A*%20A%0A*%20B prefills the Notes field with Test list * A * B Instead of Test list A B

Do Airtable forms meet minimum accessibility requirements? If they don’t meet standards when embedded, do they meet minimums when linked it from a site? If standards are met, what level (example: WCAG 2.0 AA)? Thank you.

Hello!, i have 1 base with 6 table. Everything worked fine, now i have 2 tables navigation problem. I see duplicate view of the table, with same information (as a mirror), with different navigations bar to move independent. I want only one. Thanks.

Hey everyone, I’m using Airtable’s new built-in automations feature but am running into some trouble. The first major roadblock is that my input variables are “null” even though there’s data in the actual field. I know this feature is new, so I’m actually thinking this is a bug but has anyone else had similar issues? When I run a test, sometimes my input variable doesn’t even show that it exists! I’ve attached a screenshot to show what I mean. I’m also getting inconsistent results with my fields and the values they have once brought into the code editor. I’ve had a situation where 2 identical fields (rollup fields configured to be the exact same thing) were brought in as input variables but one was an array with only 1 item in it (all of the values were mashed together as a single string) and one was an array with all the items as individual values in the array (which is what I would expect and want to happen). What I need is it to return a value as it follows: Deadline overdue = Overdue Deadline between 0-10 days = Urgent Deadline between 10-15 days= Soon I created a column for calculating the no. of days to the deadline and used the following formula but it works only for the first two criteria: IF({Deadline}<=0,“Overdue”, IF(AND({Deadline}>=0,{Deadline}<=10,“URGENT”), IF(AND({Deadline}>=10,{Deadline}<=15),“SOON”))) Thankyou in advance!

Diacritical marks in names do not import properly into Airtable.

Please listen to me carefully: Well, I run a B2B business. I got around 200 clients from all over the country. I ship the products to them over their request and receive the payments digitally or by cash. The problem is that I got around 1000 products and which I ship to 200 different clients. I need to remember the pricing I quoted to different customers, different type of products I have shipped to them, their dimensions, details and all. The thing I want is: I make the profile for each one. Update all the products I shipped to them with details, dimensions and pricing I quoted. Whenever, a client returns, ask for the same product he bought in the past. I search for the client and see what price I quoted to him for that particular product. This will help me to manage long-term relations

I have created a new empty table with a form view. I want the user to be able to select records in the form, that are pulled from a different table with two columns (make & model, years) Not sure how to achieve this. Every time I create a linked record it just pulls the make and model of the car. Not the years.

I’m sharing an “Airtable Calendar View” with Google calendar (via an iCal subscription link ). Twice in a couple of weeks the link appears to have broken and events no longer show on my Google calendar. On the first occasion all events were missing so I Unsubscribed from the Calendar and then re-subscribed which seemed to fix the issue. On the second occasion only a few events are showing on random days - Resetting the link hasn’t worked this time - any suggestions gratefully received

All other fields are fine but linked and lookup fields throw an error. So I have been trying to zap my jotform submissions into Air table. Everytime I i put in a search field and a value to make the zap work, I keep coming up with errors, what am I missing? My air table almost mirriors the jotform submissions Has anyone done a zap with jotform and airtable?

Hey Airtable community, Wondering if anyone has an easy solution for this… Currently, we’ve got a survey set up that we send to a multitude of clients. Some of the fields need to be duplicated more than once as some of the questions are for specific individuals rather than the company/organization as a whole. Is there an easy way (such as a "add more fields or “+” button that would allow the client that is filling out the form to duplicate a set of fields on their own? Or does this need to be set up manually with conditional formatting in place? Previously we’ve manually set up duplicated fields that are conditionally formatted to a specific number that’s noted by the client filling out the survey (i.e. # of employees). Where if the answer is equal to 5 or more, 5 duplications of the required fields pop up for the client. If the answer is 10, 10 duplications of the required field pop up for the client to fill in. Any suggestions or help regarding this would be amazing, thanks!

Hi Airtable community, I’m planning to use Airtable as the datastore for a statically generated site I’m building using GatsbyJS. I’ve been really impressed by the ease of use of this tool! I’m looking for the ability to create a carousel of images that have a caption and alt text per images. My idea was to have each image be a row in a table, with caption and alt text being additional columns. I would group them by an additional column, to have multiple carousels. Is it possible to limit a row with an attachment column to just have one attachment? Also if it sounds like I’m going about this the wrong way, I’d appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
