We work with breweries and their beers and want to have very extensive fields for both. Thing is we also work on timelines with breweries and want to have some sort of reminder/dashboard system where we can track their responses and deadlines, etc. Multiple users will be using it. We were hoping to also have the ability to store emails we sent from Outlook into a given contact’s record. I believe that is possible but I wanted to hear from others how well that works. Basically what we are looking for in a custom relationship database with some contact management features. Airtable is the first product I’m looking at and hope it suits us because it looks very slick and affordable.

I’m trying to make a script that’ll work along side the Gantt chart. I want the script to automatically to find the record above the current record and push that into a link field to create a dependency. Does anyone know if that possible? I’ve been looking through the documentation, and haven’t found anything to get me started.

Hello there, I want to send a mail (from Gmail) with miltiple attached files ->to zapier mail address which then ->creates a new entry in my airtable with all the attachments showing up in the airtable entry. So far: when I send a mail with only one attachment - it is there - works when I send a mail with more than one attachment - I get this unnamed attachment “picture” What I am trying to achieve: to have an e-mail address to which all my invoices are sent so I can manage payments in Airtable. Can you help? I tried parser and adding formatter but I am new to this kind of thing so it didn’t work for me. Thanks in advance

I have a table which is a collection of contacts which are family units (kids & parents/guardians). I had planned on establishing relationships between records by having a “guardian” field which would be a link to a record in the same table. This works great. Problem is that when doing that between 2 tables it creates a linked field in both tables so I get bidirectional link. When linking to the same table I don’t get that bidirectional link - the “guardian” record can’t see what children it has. I feel like I’m missing something simple but I can’t think this morning. Any way to get the bidirectional link in the same table?

Hi, As an advanced excel user, I feel like I’m missing something fundamental with the way databases work and I keep trying to do something which I’m now sure is impossible in Airtable but don’t understand why when it seems so simple. In my latest project: I want a list of clients I want my calendar with available group sessions, to which I can add clients When I add clients to this, I want it to link to a table of invoices, with a new invoice to track for each client. All I am achieving at the moment is a list of all the amalgamated appointments next to the clients name. This does not allow me to track each invoice as ‘paid’, ‘cancelled’, due etc. I cannot track them from the calendar, because each appointment relates to multiple clients. This seems the ideal project to add to a database but I know I am missing some basic principles to help me understand how my base design needs changing.

I installed the AirTable Windows desktop version . Is there a way to store the attachements locally ? My attachemtn database is huge (over 300 GB) .

Hi Airtablers, I’m a total newb here and I’m struggling with forms for data input. I have achieved a passable/usable form on one grid which I would like to copy over and reuse with other grids rather than manually go through all the set-up and again. I’m pretty sure that this can be done since no one likes redoing stuff they already done. But, I have not discovered how. I would really appreciate hearing from you if you can tell me how to basically cut and paste a form from one grid to another. Thank you for reading. T

I have a table called “Settings” and a field called “Next Number” and a field called “Format” Next Number is 101000 Format is ‘TRnnnnnn’ How do I write a script that when I press run, it updates all blank Primary Keys on my view, with the new numbers in sequence, and updates the Next Number setting, ready for the next time I run the auto sequence script. I have tried using a formula, but that doesn’t work because I need to use the next number from the other table, not from the same table. I have tried using a script but I get an error all the time trying to update my barcode primary key, so thats very weird. Hi - I need help with advanced linking and maybe formulas or rolls ups? I have 4 tables. Roles Products Content types Services I created a 5th table (Touchpoints). I want to take the names from the 1st column in tables 1-4 and populate the first column in table 5 with them. So that the values in table 5 are linked back to their original tables. However I do not want all the values from tables 1-4 to be used in table 5. And I want to be able to add values in table 5 that are not coming from tables 1-4. Also I would like to add an additional column in table 5 that automatically populates for each record if it is a person, a product, a content type, or a service based on which table (1-4) the record came from.

I am getting close to getting this right but need help with one aspect. I have set up two tabs, one tab has responses from my questionnaire and another is going to chart the results. When I have a field that reads a certain word from my response table “ie, red” I want it to tally in my chart tab as 1 response was “red” I have linked the two charts but this isn’t automatically populating, can anyone assist? I’m having a lookup table in my view and I like to filter using elements from that table. I create a precise filter using the “is” statement. However, it does not work and other eletents also display – as if I had chosen “contains.” I’m now forced to exclude with an AND statement other elements, thus making my filter bloated. Hey Airtable Fam. I would love to build better graphs. Is the chart block super limited or am I just doing it wrong. Here is a graph of the ages of my database. I can only see the number if I hover over the age block. How can I get it to show the number of entries per age? or if I had them as percentages (I guess by building a formula to show percentage of the age and then making a chart from that) Any help to make my charts better would be massively appricaited. I am looking to automatically categorize information submitted in a form into individual databases based on 1 question in the form. is this possible? I was thinking that maybe all information is submitted to one database and then split into multiple bases automatically based on some sort of linking. Can anyone help?

I’m still plugging along with an Airtable portfolio/project tracker PoC used to support our weekly reporting requirements. I would like to have unique milestones (i.e. different sets of milestones) tied to specific projects. Currently, I have 3 tables with the following (relevant to this discussion) information: [Portfolio] – {Project Name} - Primary field – {Milestones} - linked to [Milestones] table.
