How do you create a field that allows users to enter certain times with am/pm?

I do not see a way to add a time field, so someone can choose 7:00am or 9pm, etc.

Issues with updating records

Perform a calculation based on 2 matching criteria

Hello, I am importing records into my airtable via a zap. The application at the other side of the zap allows users to submit their vehicle mileage firstly in the morning and then in the evening. A row/record is created for the start mileage, then another for the end mileage. There is a column for date, user, start mileage, end mileage. What i would like to achieve is to automatically calculate the daily mileage for each user on each day. So I need to match records that have the same date and user, then from this subtract the start mileage from the end mileage. Can anybody point me in the right direction if this is possible and if so, how it could be done? Thanks Mike

Time tracker: how to lock record created using that block?

I would like to lock the permissions of editing ‘duration field’ to creators and up (that is easy), but let editors to be able to include information there ONLY by using time tracker block. My goal is to lock to the possibility to change amount of time manually. So, I can use that time duration for billing purposes. However, the problem is: IF I set permission of editing for ‘creators and up’, Time Tracker block can’t be used by ‘editors’ (my general employees) IF I set permission of editing for ‘editors and up’, Time Tracker block can be used by ‘editors’ (my general employees), but they can ALSO change the amount of time of the duration field manually (non secure information). Does anyone know how to solve that situation?

Calculate Dates to display notice for Deadline

Hello everyone, I’m new to Airtable and I’m struggling to come up with a formula that calculates the different scenarios in relation to the timeframes for the tasks to be performed. I would like to post a notice describing the situation in relation to the various remaining timeframes. Help building complex 'rate card' and commission calculation

Hi There, Looking for a little help either building or advising on this build. We are a credit broker B2B2C. I’m building an Airtable base to manage client onboarding, management and some internal BDM - CRM features. I need some help working out how to structure ‘rate cards’ per merchant (client) initially… Each merchant has a different combination of lenders Each merchant has a different combination of finance products to offer their customers from those lenders. Each merchant may be charged a subsidy (or paid a commission) at different rates (depending on size etc) on the same product with the same lender We may receive different commission rates from the lenders so need to be able to articulate this too. The end goal here is to have a ‘rate card’ against each merchant record. I believe I need to look at the many-to-many links but just want some advice on how best to structure this. Editable Table Views?

Hi - I want to be able to create a table that I can share the table and only that table with someone on the team. They would not be able to see or edit any other tables within that base. The can edit and add to the table, not just view it. Is this possible? If so how?

Only one record visible?

Hey everyone, I am a property manager with 6500 clients. I am making bases for all of my buildings with A LOT of info. What I am wondering is if I can have the client come into my Wordpress site and some either call for or go to just THEIR information? I have a portal section of my website. they are logged in with meta. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The easier the better! :slightly_smiling_face:

Repeating Tasks

Is there any way to set up repeating tasks, I read through some of the suggestions, but they seem too complex? I was planning to convert to Airtable, but I can’t do that if there is not a way to easily set up repeating tasks. Your assistance is appreciated!!

PhantomBuster-Zapier-Airtable data collection

Hello, I’m trying to configure a Zapier task to copy a PhantomBuster instagram username collection to an Airtable table. This task must to create one row per username. For the moment 1 row in Airtable is created for each PhantomBuster launch and I take 100 username per launch so everything is mixed. Is there any solution for my case to get 1 row per username or 100 rows created in Airtable from each PhantomBuster launch? Thanks and regards Thierry

Scripting Block - Generate Emails

A major limitation of Airtable currently is the ability to generate useful notification emails. Looking though the list of scripts on “Built On Air”, I don’t see any scripts that send emails. Why can't I delete the grid view in my base?

With 5 sheets in my base I’m trying to delete the grid view for each. I want to do this to make sure that only the gallery view is available on my website. But, Airtable is not allowing me to delete it, do you have any other methods? Alternatively, is it possible to just make sure that only the gallery view is visible for all 5 sheets in the base after embedding?

Counting Checkbox fields with a Rollup

I am working on a project/task management setup - I was aiming to have a field that tracks how many tasks are still open on a project. I have a project table and a task table and the tasks are connected to the projects. The tasks have the ability to be marked as complete with a checkbox. I was trying to figure out how to use a rollup field to count the amount of uncompleted tasks.

How to add files along with other records

I have a table that is suppossed to create records for file attachment and other details. Juding from code below, How do I attach files along with other records in airtable. Do I have to convert the file to base64 or just upload the files to a remote server and then add the file links in the record. Hi @openside I saw your reply to another person at New JotForm Integration - Mapping to Linked Record Fields. I am working with a nonprofit that is delivering basic groceries in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, to help fund the nonprofit. Wondering if you could PM me about Openside’s non-profit pricing? We are trying to use a Jotform to take people’s purchase orders (they will later make a bank transfer) and have them autocreate Airtable records in an Airtable inventory management database. Would love to have the orderform automatically pull the product selections from the database as they are added or changed, and also show whether an item is in stock and how many are in stock. How to trigger Google Tag Manager when an Airtable form is submitted on my website?

Hello ! I’d like to track leads who fill the airtable form embed in my website in order to make Facebook ads. Do you know how I have to set GTM to manage it ? I first created a thank you page but my browser (Chrome) blocks it as a pop up page (perhaps because my website juggles between my domain name and Airtable one ?) and I’m concerned my customers have the same issue. Chart for employee time sheets

Hi! I track employee time using In and Out Date/Time fields and a formula field that calculates total hours. Now I want to see total hours in a chart block, but my Y-axis must be a numeric field. I want to keep seeing In and Out times, so simply entering hour amounts won’t work. Is there another way I can total, look up, or roll up my employee hours in a way that a chart block will read it? Do I need to explore a different type of block? Thanks for any support you’ve got!

Linking records in forms

Hi, I need help with linking records with forms. I used this product last year to do exactly what I’m trying to do this year with no problems, but I am running into a problem now. I’m trying to make two different forms, and have information from the second form link to the first one. Specifically I would like the entrant’s email address to link to the first form. When I did this last year, the entrant had to fill out their email address on the second form, and then I went into the grid view and linked the records manually. This year, I can only find the option for the entrant to select their email address from the ones that are already listed on the first form. I’m using these forms for summer reading registration at the library where I work. We get about 700 kids registering every year. Allowing anyone with a link to the second form to see the email addresses of everyone who registered on the first form is not an option; it’s a giant invasion of privacy.
