Hi there, i’m pretty new to airtable and trying to find some stuff out . On one base i would like a form for something like a order of our services. The order contains some sort of attachment like a plan as a pdf. Now i call the customer and make an appointment for our in house visit. If i put this appointment in airtable this should create a detailed Google Calendar event with the pdf which was send to us from the customer. I can’t figure out what exacly is the problem why i can’t find a good solution for this problem. Is this more of a Google Drive -> Google Calendar problem? Any suggestions for me? Thank you, Sven

I would like to link my airtable calendar to a third party calendar app. I am willing to use either apple calendar or google calendar, either would be fine. But, I seem to have come up agains some limitations. With airtable/google calendar integrations, you can do these actions (using Zapier to link the two): creating a new airtable record will create a new google calendar event creating a new google calendar event will create a new airtable record updating a google calendar event will update an airtable calendar event With airtable/apple calendar integrations, you can do these actions (using an ical subscription link): creating a new airtable record will create a new apple calendar event updating an airtable record will update the associated calendar event The issue is with updating events. It seems, if I use google, I can update from google to airtable, and if I use apple, I can update from airtable to apple, but there is no way to update in BOTH directions, both into and out

hello Airtable Community, First sorry for bad English, hope you can understand me. For my hotel I need to create an automation between Airtable (our CRM) and Google Agenda, where every record (room booking, with important informations about customers) create an event in our Google Agenda. I have already created an automation with Zapier which create an event in Google Agenda every time I create a new record in my CRM. But, when I change a field (exemple : after create the record, I have to change the phone number of a customer in a field), it do not change the phone number in my event on Google Agenda. It’s a trouble for me because if me or a coworker insert a wrong phone number in a new record, the correction do not put the correction on google events, which is our main booking interface. It seems .png files aren’t previewing in my base anymore, which is making the Web Clipper block a lot less useful now! Has anyone else had this issue? Right now I have to download the file and convert to JPG then reupload for them to preview, but .png files used to preview automatically for me.

I’ve implemented a page designer block. One of the fields is a linked field that I’ve got displaying as a table with multiple columns. There are so many rows that the data needs to go to a second page for some of the records. But, the block just truncates the data at the end of the report page. Is there a setting somewhere to change this behavior?

Hello community, Hope that you may help me with this one. I am trying to build a system that will help my with inventory tracking. So far so good, and there are many great templates and tutorials out there. HOWEVER, I haven’t figure out yet how to solve my issue: From time to time, employees take equipment from our warehouse for a specific project, and I want to keep track of everything. I thought about making a table for each time someone takes something, and then finding a way to reduce the amount of available items from the amount of items that went out from our warehouse. but - I have no idea how to do that. Making a row for each project is not ideal as well, because each project uses several items with different quantitates. Any suggestions or tips? THANK YOU!!!

Hey all, I have two tables that I need to link. Table 1 is a table which gets daily new info. In one column, I have to concatenate. This changes daily with the new information and therefore needs to stay as a formula. In Table 2, I have a sort of database of possible concatenation options with responding values. These two values need to be selected according to the newly created cell in Table 1. In Excel, this could be quickly done via a Vlookup, but I struggle to do this in Airtable. Has anyone had a similar problem and can offer a solution? If you need more info, please tell me. Thank you

Is there any way of moving completed records to a different table so that I can remove finished jobs but still be able to access them for invoicing reasons? A previous recommendation was to filter to exclude certain records but I can’t for the life of me see how to do this! TIA

Hi I am setting up an Integtomat scenario to backup Airtable bases with Webhook and using Airtable API. I am using blobjson to create and make a call. I keep getting a syntax error. What is the correct syntax for JSON? I have an HTTP module in my scenario, bug I don’t know what endpoint fo I use on the HTTP app. I have two linked tables, so do I use “Retrieve Records” or “Create Records” in Airtable API? I have two columns that I pull data in from to make a linked form. Third column (forms) needs to have “clients name - root form” like “Yoga studio - Yoga Waiver company”. This now links the form to the second sheet, where we keep the status on each project. One client/record often has several documents and each o them needs to have a separate status. Something like “Yoga studio - Yoga waiver Company” and “Yoga studio - Employee agreement” does anyone know how I can auto generate the third column?

Hi All, I have created personal views for users since multiple users are working on the data. They are editing/adding the data in their sheet only and the same is being reflected in the mother sheet which is a consolidated file of all the users data points. Now, we are facing the issue that there are some data points which are being shown in the Mother Sheer but are not reflecting in the user’s personal views. How is it possible? Can this happen if a user deletes the data in his personal view and the same is not being reflected in the mother sheet? What am I missing here Thanking you in anticipation for the help and support.

I have a question about the billing process and why collaborators are so expensive. I used to have a Pro account because I wanted to create a form with our own logo at the top of the page (this was the only reason we needed a Pro account). That said, it was a form for a singing competition. I wanted to bring in a few judges to see certain views created for them as a part of my base and judge entries using the table I set up. When I invited them in, I quickly realized that I was about to be charged $24/month PER JUDGE because I was giving them access to edit my table. I was shocked and so frustrated. $24/month (I didn’t want to pay for the whole year because the competition (free, no money involved at all)) was only a few months. Anyway, I was shocked that I was expected to pay for a FULL ACCOUNT for each of these collaborators. Why?!? Seriously, why?? Is it possible in Airtable to create some kind of company hierarchy such as: Company 1 (parent) Company A (child) Company B (child) Company C (child) Company 2 (parent) Company A (child) Company B (child) Company C (child) To try and help you understand what I have and what I want to achieve, I have simplified my base as follows: I have an Accounts table: I have a Projects table: I have a Tasks table: What would I need to do to find out (link) which projects/tasks Company 1 (parent company) are working on? It would be great to be able to select the deliminator type for single and multiple select fields. For example if I’m pasting in a list of items that I want to be options and some contain commas it currently breaks those into separate listings. Whereas if I could set the deliminator type to only new lines or semicolons it would maintain the list items as I would like to use them.

Hello! I work in higher ed, and am trying to set up a highly automated CRM base. We’ve used Zapier for ages to create and update records in Google Sheets, and are shifting our process over to Airtable to allow more users access to the data. The primary challenge I’m encountering is in logging interactions. I have a Contacts table (with Email as the unique identifier), and an Interactions table (with things like General Web Form, Event Registration, etc.). So if a candidate fills out the General Web Form, I can have a unique Zap with the text ‘General Web Form’ dropping into the linked records --> Interactions field and it works like a charm. The challenge is at the second point of conversion: let’s say Event Registration. Zapier can locate the record, and then updated it – but If I use the same trick, the integration will overwrite the existing data in the linked records field, so I lose the General Web Form conversion.
