Greetings, I have an Airtable field titled: Course Status and to the right of that field is Total Enrollment. In my Excel spreadsheet version, I used a vlookup to return the value of ‘course status’ The formula: =VLOOKUP([@Enrolled],Table30,2,FALSE) Table30 0-2 enrolled = On Standby 3-9 enrolled = Low Enrollment 10-28 = Will Make! Is there a way to accomplish this in Airtable? Thanks in advance for your support! Lisa

Hello, I want to use forms to let people outside my organization link records among my existing tables. I don’t want to let them create new records. Just let them link one field to another. Is there a way to achieve this through forms? I’m having trouble with the primary field being just a string of text. Ideally, someone could select the primary field from a dropdown, and then link whatever they want to to that specific primary field, without creating a new record. Use case example I have a list of companies as my primary field. I want someone to use forms to pick a company and associate it to a topic (currently linked to a Topics table, it basically acts as a multiple select).

I've not really used forms very much, so please bear with me!I would like to have a form, accessed from a unique form-record-URL, that allows anyone with the link to access only the attachment field in a record, so they can view or download (but not edit or delete) the attachment.Is this something that can be done with forms?Very many thanks.

Hey everyone,I have a 2 formula fields that generate prefilled form links. The forms are nearly identical and contain a number of linked record fields. I have noted that some of the prefilled linked record fields fail to prefill when opened with different Chrome profiles, or on Safari, on my own computer. Here is the spread of variation:Chrome Profile 1: Everything works as expected across both formsChrome Profile 2: For given records, both form links failed to load (Chrome says the page is unresponsive). I have not determined a common cause across records who's links fail yet. When the form links do load, there are (2) linked record fields that do not prefill.Incognito: All form links load (including those that do not load in Profile 2). 1 form works fully as expected, the other has (1) linked record field that does not prefill.Safari:  An inconsistent mixture of all anomalous behavior referenced above.I understand tha

Not all data records are stored in my table A, so some fields are empty. Now I would like to fill the empty fields using a form. is this possible?Approach: I would have to select the data record or data from the primary field so that the data records to be updated can be assigned correctly. so that the missing data is added when submitting the form.

Hello, our team is using AirTable in a Scrum environment. Each sprint we point our stories and calculate our velocity. Currently this is a manual process. Is there a way to automate in in AirTable?

I need to create a form that includes a dynamic table-like structures within a question, where you can input multiple rows of data (objects) and assign a different value (like a dropdown selection) to each row in a grid format, and syncs this data to Airtable with one object per row and each selection per field. Furthermore, I need the system to recognize if an object has been submitted more than once and not add another row, but rather add the 2nd requester name to an existing row. Has anyone been able to figure this out? Thank you,

I have a Record Review Interface that is shared publicly. As expected, the record displayed when following the public link is the one at the top of the underlying sort. I'd like to display a different record in the table as the starting point while retaining the sort for the list of records. The URLs appear to follow a predictable pattern, and the initial URL for the public interface is rewritten as a URL with an appended query (after a "?") referencing the displayed record. The query consists of a six-character string which is consistent, "=rec", and the internal record ID.When I construct a URL containing the query for the desired record and attempt to load it, I receive an "Internal error, Try refreshing the page." message. This also occurs if I simply cut and paste the rewritten URL into a browser window after following the base public link. I am using a browser session that is not signed into Airtable to test the URL strings.Any ideas?

I have an automation that sends an automatic email. There are 2 date fields in the text. This should display the date and time. unfortunately the date fields are displayed as in the attachment. how can I change this?It would look nicer if everything was like the last one. could be removed

 In a few of our bases, we have either password protected the shared grid view, or we have disabled the share view link completely. However, we're finding that a different URL for that same grid view is still being accessed, even though there is no link associated. This means people with a link are able to see the contents of this grid view. We're also finding that this URL is different from the original link that was associated with the base.Is there a way to view what links are tied to the base? Has anyone else experienced this issue? We are trying to get these links offline. Hope this makes sense. Please let me know if any clarification needs to be given.

Hi,I wonder if I can somehow give a copy of a Base to another user?I have a blank Template base (with just the column names and formulas and such) and I would like to give a copy of this Base to another user. This other user is NOT part of my company or organization. I do NOT want them to be a 'collaborator' in any senses - I just want to hand off a single copy of the Base to them, and then they can do whatever they want with it, and not involve us at all (or our account at all). Is this possible somehow?thank you!-Ed

The record limit for the free plan is 1000. I am only at 500 records.  

I’m trying to use a find/update zap to automate a record update in Airtable, Some empty fields need to get new data, some get updates and others need to be cleared. The Zap correctly adds the new and updated data, but I can’t figure out how to DELETE data from the fields that I want emptied (which are date fields). With other numeric fields, it’s easy to just set the update value to “0”, but this doesn’t seem to work for date formatted fields. I’ve tried 0 =0 -1 0/0/0000 0000-00-00 =BLANK() Null Creating an empty dummy field and setting the value equal to that No luck. I asked Zapier first, thinking they might have some special formula or syntax to use for this kind of thing, but they told me it’s restricted on the Airtable side and overwriting with blanks isn’t permitted. I thought I’d ask here in case anyone else has come up with a solution/hack to clear/empty/erase a cell or make it “null”. Thanks.

In the form I have a data record field where all free rooms are displayed. All occupied rooms are not displayed. However, if I have a reservation for the future, the assigned room is immediately marked as occupied even though it is still available until the specific reservation date. So far I have no idea how to solve the problem.

Is it possible to subsequently edit an existing data record using a form, for example to change a status. without making the change directly in the table?

All:I have imported data from an excel into an existing table in a base.  The existing table is called "Income Account Transactions."  There is another table called "Profit & Loss" that links to Income Account Transactions table. It  calculates data from the table.  The imported data is not calculating into the Profit & Loss Table.  What am I doing wrong?

Hello to you all !! I’m facing an issue. I’m totally new on airtab and I’m trying to create a data base. I have a table where I will put a name of a project and a mutiple select fied with the companies that are in the project. I would like to create a data base for those companies and to be able to do so, i need to find a way to create an automation thats is going to take every company from the multiple select field and create one independant record for each one of them in my database table. I would love to do this without a script because I’m on the free subscription. I would really use your help. Thanks in advance and have a great day !!!

I'd like to buy a book (or 2) on Amazon (or other) that I can use as a decent reference for scripts, formulas and other advanced topics and would love some suggestions. Given the ever changing nature of products such as Airtable, I want to make sure I buy something that is relatively recent that would have the newest features, or at least most of them.The basic stuff (field types, etc) are self explanatory to me, so hopefully a book that has more solutions than the core fundamentals of which I've mostly been able to learn with vids and the like. I know that the basics will be covered in any book, I just want to make sure the back part of the book with the advanced stuff is relatively deep in content, if that makes sense.
