HelloI am new to Airtable and I am trying to create dynamic calculations in a record in my calculations table that is updated every time when a new record is created through a form for another table called Non-Title I School Tours - Virtual. I used Rollup in the calculations table to sum multiple records in a field in the Non-Title I School Tours - Virtual table. The problem I am running into is that it is not summing up multiple records it is only showing the first record and none of the records after it. Any feedback would be helpful.

We use our air table to create a database of questions that we use to answer client DDQ's or potential client RFP's.  When I need to find a specific questions and answer I'm having troubling finding it.  What is the easiest way to do a search like this?

Hi, I have a question regarding Airtable sub-categories.I have a Airtable full of products the rows are structured like this :"productName",   "price",   "category",   "productURL",   "imageURL",   "description"What I would like is to have another table inside of the workspace for the same product but different colors, or products that are slightly different Context: this table is linked to a Make.com scenario that creates dynamic carousels inside of voiceflow.If anyone could help me make a sub-category table that is linked to the main one I would highly appreciate it.

I have a table of information that is tracking music in a film.  I have the songs and their timecode of where they appear in the film.  the nature of the list is that i have a record for every time there is an edit however several records compile the total use of the song.  Here is my issue.  When i look at all the records in grid view and sort by timecode in they sort in order and everything looks great.  Then when i then group them by song title things go hairy.  It puts the groups of songs out of order.  so a song that starts in the film at 1 min 15 sec and goes to 3 min 15 sec is sorting after a song that is in the film at 15 min 3 sec.  How can i get them to go in the proper order once grouped?

Hi all, I am wanting to understand if the following scenario is currently achievable and if so, what “add ons” would be required: Ideally I would like to be able to share a “filtered” view with a clients that only shows information relevant to them for a updating various aspects of a project, while the remaining fields which are for internal purposes are hidden. Obviously this can be done by setting up a view and hiding the relevant fields. Only issue here is that when sharing this view a guest can view it and not make any changes (I am amazed that this feature is still yet to be implemented having seen discussions on this topic go back quite a long way). So, the only option is to send this information to Google Sheets (I am aware of various tools such as Airtable Importer, Coupler, Integromat etc that can do this one way). I have a table of sales orders keyed by sales order number. I often get sent spreadsheets with lists of sales orders with the question "What is the state of these?" I'd like to be able to take that list, enter it, and get the lines back for the matches. I'm struggling with a solution and could use some ideas ... 

One of my fields is linked to another record in the same base. In the form view, is there a way that someone can add a new record, instead of selecting one that already exists? I see this capability for normal fields, but it doesn’t appear when the field is linked to another record.

Hi there, apologies if this is written about elsewhere, I searched and didn’t find many relevant posts. We have two duplicate records created from Acuity via Zapier. One Randall H. and one Randy H. Same person. I changed the name of the Randy in airtable to Randall, but they’re still different records and I’d like to merge all this student’s lessons to be under the same single student. Can this be done? Thanks!

The deduplication extension isn't efficient due to the large number of duplicates we have—thousands in total. Therefore, I’ve created a script to merge and remove duplicate records based on identifying fields.The script runs successfully when I don't merge linked record data, but this approach results in valuable information being lost. Hello! I have the below table that list Rooms with the associated Furniture and Accessories that belong in them. I would like to be able to filter on a field in a separate table for Client ID. The thing is because I’m keeping track of Rooms over time for each client, multiple Client ID names display when I link the below table to the other table for Client ID. I tried to filter on 1 particular client’s name for Client ID, I could also see the other clients that have used the same type of furniture pieces. I only want to see information for 1 person. I hope this makes sense. Is there a way to make this happen?

HI, I want to be able to select multiple records in a base and update a field in all selected records. I’m thinking this will probably need a script where I can enter a value and then push a button to update all selected records with that value. Has anyone done this or have an idea to get me started please? Thanks

Hello, I have been invited as an editor of another user's database. I pay for the team plan, and the other user does as well. However, the creator of the database is being charged for having me as an editor. Is this correct? If I already pay for the team plan, why does he have to pay for giving me permission to be an editor in his database?

I have a table (source table) synced via a one-way sync to a table in another base (target table). I recently changed the name of a field in the source table, and I noticed that the name of the field in the target table did not update to match the updated field name of the source table. Is there a way to automatically sync the field names, or do I have to manually update the field name in the target table? Thank you for your help. 

I recently switched from google drive to dropbox for my content uploads and when I try to add a photo into the attachment from my dropbox integration it only shows me the content in my dropbox in a list view rather than a grid view. I'd like to see it in a grid view so I can see all the photos as is and not as the file name. Is there a way to change this? TIA! 

Hola AirtableforceoneFirstly, if anyone wants to know how to extract helpscout images from threads and then send them to dropbox and then over to Airtable .  will share that here. Thats 8 hours of my life gone but it's easy now Iknow.BUT - one last question. Right at the very end. How do I fix this?I have Make/Integromat adding an image to an airtable row by providing a URL (Ps, I made a public one of course, used drop box yadayada).But when I upload the image, it deletes all the images in that row rather than just adding another. Cant find any switches of settings for it. Any ideas? Seriously, Make is so far more detailed than Zapier but this last piece is a killer.

Hey Everyone, I am working on a project that brings together data from a number of tables, text and images that are trigger by a web hook in a web app using softer. The web hook is used to tell zapier what data to search for airtable. Then in Zapier the data is parsed into the Google slides document, which is then converted to a PDF, then printed. It is an amazing no code rube Goldberg situation! The method that I am pulling data from Airtable is using the Search, the search provides URLS for the images, but when they are linked to in a. browser, it says that the URL is expired.Airtable support suggested that when  you use the "New/Updated Record "method to pull records, that there is a "Include File Contents" option that will pull the PNG information into the zap making it useable in Google Slides.In an effort to not overcomplicate things, I was wondering?is there another way to get the PNG data from airtable using the "Search" meth

 I have a database with 3 tables - clients, line items, Invoices.I would like to have a form where a client can add line items and then at the end of each month an invoice for each client would be created (if possible automatically add a record to the invoice table) including a rollup of only the items that were added that month and for that client.I haven't found a way of doing this so any suggestions would be much appreciated! 

Hello, I am trying to take one column with a day/hour field (Start Date) and use a Single-Select (Time zone) to create an updated day/hour column. Currently, I use New York time on all the other dates but I need to be able to see a different version of the time in cases when I am collaborating with people internationally. Time zones would be ‘Africa/Laos’,‘Africa/Maputo’,‘Africa/Nairobi’ etc. Any help would be much appreciated! Edit: I have looked at this sample base and get what it’s trying to do, but I don’t know how to alter it for my purpose.

Hello again! I am trying to create an email report where I use the automation flow below: At a certain time > Find Records > Outlook: Send Email I’m using the “Find Records” action to search for where a checkbox is flagged, then using those records to input a grid or a list into the email. The issue is that I can’t reorder the fields or sort the list/grid it creates. Is there either, another way to do this WITHOUT A THIRD PARTY APP, or is there something I’m missing that allows you to sort records/reorder fields?

I’ve created a base for managing a complex calendar at my institution. I’ve created simple table and calendar views for collaborators, but I also have a table view that is strictly for exporting csv files so I can upload the events to our website since there are strict rules for formatting, etc. All of the events have to have categories, some of which have up to three. I’ve created a multiple select field (“Category”) so people can select the appropriate categories. But when I export to csv, there can only be one category per column. I would rather keep a single “Category” multiple select so I don’t have three separate fields that people have to figure out. Is there a way to write a formula for this? So the logic would be this: I would create three fields (Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3). Category 1 would find the first option in the Multiple Select field “Category.” Category 2 would find the second option in “Category” C

Hi all,I am wondering if there is a way to either create a new table or export a .csv file that would list out all of a record's linked records in columns. I have an inventory base that tracks outgoing and incoming equipment to and from specific sites. Essentially, I want to be able to export all of the linked record data so that each linked record has its own cell in a respective column. I've included screenshots below to better illustrate my specific case. Is there an automation or script that can perform these actions? I've tried to export just a single record by filtering the view, but all the linked records remain grouped in their respective cells rather than each receiving their own cell/row like I would prefer.

HiSo i just invited a user with a view license so they could complete a form (locked to our domain). This user was able to create their own workspace, and in the process upgraded themselves to editor.How do i stop this from happening? I'm about to invite 300 people to be able to submit a form for a project, and really don't want them to be able to upgrade themselves to editor and blow my license count.Cheers

I created a base for a client and now need to transfer that base to them and remove myself as the owner.  What is the best way to accomplish this?
