Hello, I am trying to sync a view in Jira Server which has over 1000 fields. There are only 7 that I care about. When I configure the sync with selected fields, all 1000 fields are turned on. I do not see way to turn them all off and only turn on the ones I want. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I’m looking at using forms to collect new records for our bases. In my case, that data is then taken via Zapier to our helpdesk. Everything works fine but there is one piece I am trying to make function properly. When you submit the form, the “Created By” field displays as “Anonymous” How can I set that up so it corresponds to a person within the Airtable system, as the “Created By” field is used to generate who creates the ticket within our help desk.
I have a field that is a string of comma separated text values (two actually...one I created using a concatenate formula, and the other was created with a rollup field...I was trying to see if one of those would work better than the other).I need to convert either one of them into either a "link to another record" field, or a "multiple select" field in order to send those items into a Webflow Multi-Reference field in a collection. Right now, Webflow will not separate the comma separated list into individual values (that I'm aware of). Help!
I have a table with fixed license plates, the cars should be checked regularly and a form is filled out. When the form is submitted, all data from the form should be entered in the correct place in the table.Example:Registration number: ABC-123 in tableVehicle inspection was carried out on a vehicle with a license plate (ABC-123) and now the data should be entered in the table where the license plate "ABC-123" is located. how do I do that?
Hi! I have a table that is defined by an auto-incrementing numerical id, and then the secondary field is "Name". I want people to be able to select records in a form based on that name, or at least validate the ID they've selected is the correct name. Is there any way to display a look-up field within a form, or even better allow a user to select a linked record based on searching or browsing a look-up field? Thanks in advance!
Hello. Right now i’m using air table to manage student information for my study abroad bussiness. It’s very good . But there’s one small problem, i want to automatic export data every day, but i cannot using the API through zapier because it’s not support automatic export. So is there any way i can do this and beside airtable, is there any other tool with similar function but support automatic export. Thanks in advance.
Hi Can anyone help please? I am trying to find a way to count linked records in the same table I think someone may have found a work around but am going around in circles trying to find anything I can understand. Thanks, Maria
Hello every one.I have, i thought it was a quite simple task, question.i have something i want to push to my airtable database, from nodejs server. For example: "QWETG$E%&$%&U%&UHHRE" it should be added to the database. It has only two colums: Name, and Date Created.Unfortunatelly i have no clue how to do it.I have a Token. basically i should simply force my server to to call a link with token and string somehow combined,..... I am very clueless.Thank you for the help
So I have makerspace with 100+ members. Thanks to airtable, we have a status if they're active or inactive (current members vs members who quit). Many of us make files that we share with the membership for lasercut SVGs, or 3D print files. Within our airtable database we know their status, name, wiki account and wiki password. By wiki, we have a dokuwiki site that members have sign-in capability to. If they quit, we can turn that off. So we can control if they can see the url to download, but this doesn't mean that they can't be sent the url by a friend to download, or have a saved list of links before they quit.So I'm thinking that legit members can use a form link to request a file, then we write an automation that gets the file and emails it to them. Also, to complicate matters a little further, I'm thinking about storing the files on a google drive or dropbox to avoid attachment size limits on our airtable team account, but I am thinking this can be handled in jav
HiCertain users in my organization are using an interface to submit work order requisitions and getting a random and sporadic message on some requisitions mid-way through the submission, but not all users and not all the time. The message reads "Project Hidden, The project might have been edited, or your permissions changed." Any ideas what may be causing this or anyone else seen this message before?
Before signing up, I’d like to know a couple things about Forms and Interfaces. For my use case, Forms will most likely be the most common data entry means. Interfaces will be the most common way my users will edit a record’s data. Can my users not go straight into the “Open form” view of a form from the main tables tab? I don’t want them to have to click the “Open form” button to use the form (and I certainly don’t want them to be able to edit a form’s layout, etc.) How about an Interface? Is there no way to launch an Interface from a table screen? Like, why isn’t there an entry in the sidebar like there is for all the other views for that table? Thanks!
For those who can help, would you please let me know how to count the number of attached files in the Attachment Field in Airtable?
So I’m a real estate agent and I use Airtable to keep track of all my deals. I have one block for rentals. In rentals it’s very common for a prospective tenant to want to see all my current active listings. I typically have 40-60+ rentals at any given time, some times more. Right now, when people ask for my list, I ask for their search parameters, go through the entire list myself, then respond back with a few listings. The problem is I have 25-75 people reaching out a day and 40-60 listings, plus an entire buy/sell side of the business. It’s becoming impossibly time consuming. So when I heard about the ability to create a shareable link to my up-to-date database, I got really excited. Especially when I realized I could hide fields that are for internal use only and I do not want prospects to see. But then I realized the primary field is the address of the unit and there is no way to hide this (but it’s really important to hide addresses for a lot of use cases I won’t get into right no
I’m currently selling my airtable base as a product. How to do that? Is there a way to create a user base that will be able to view the database? Collaborators would work best, but I don’t want them to see my changes and emails of other collaborators
I have Airtable views embedded on a google site page, and when you open a record detail you can see the attachment thumbnails in the attachments field, but then when you click on one of the attachments to view full-size, there is an error message "this page is blocked by browser". I have tried with both Chrome and Edge, and get the same error with both browsers.Attachment thumbnails in record detail:Error Message in Edge:Error message in Chrome:
I would like to use a link from Google Maps in an automatic Emil. every time the connection is rejected. I had previously entered an address in Google Maps and then went to "Share" and copied the link and then stored it in an email in Airtable. every time I get the following message: see attachment
Hello, I have two Date fields that need to show the time remaining (in years/months). My attempts at declaring the correct formula have not been successful. Here’s a screenshot with the field outlined where I want to show the difference. I believe this is the closest I’ve come: DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),Rent Commencement,Lease Expiration,‘Years’,‘Months’) Thank you! Anet Gambina
Hey all! I have recently started using Airtable and I have been searching for an answer to this question for too long. I am attempting to track volunteer hours. I have a form that people will complete every time they have a “shift”. This form asks people when they came in and when they left. I want to create a formula that finds the difference of the End time and the Start time in order to find the total time of their shift. I have read through several ask the community questions similar to this and tried several formulas; including DATETIME_DIFF. However, nothing seems to be working. Please help! Thanks in advance.
In Table 1, I have a list of names. In Table 2, I’d like a single select drop down list that comes from the list of names in Table. This way I can add more names to the column in Table 1 and have them show up as options on the list in Table 2. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? I have played around with linked records and can’t figure it out. Thanks, Jim
Hi, I have a Base called “BaseName” table with a checkbox field “Show in filtered view?”, and another view called “Only Filtered Items” of that table showing only checkboxed items. There are 74 total items and 44 of them are checked. And the “Only Filtered Items” view in Airtable itself contains only 44 items, as expected. But, when I export that “Only Filtered Items” view, it still contains all the items. The csv exported file is called “BaseName-Only Filtered Items.csv”. Is there some way to make the csv export only contain the 44 filtered items? Another detail, I filled out the checkbox field by copy-pasting from an excel sheet which was formatting as “Y/N”, but the check boxes look like they were inputted just fine. Lastly, I referenced Export selected records to .csv and I think it should be working based on that. So I’m not sure if I’m encountering a bug or something.
Our project management company is on the pro-plan and has multiple projects schedules in the one base, across many tables. From there, in each table/project we assign different team members, and have multiple different views for agendas etc. Is there a way to sync/combine the tables into one master to-do list for 1 team member? We are open to using automations, integrations, and even software outside of AT (if it can’t be done within AT). However, we don’t have much tech knowledge (we don’t know how to use automations well). If anyone knows of a way, that would be great. Thank you.
I created a Kanban in an interface. When I click on an entry the detailed view opens. It would be nice if you had the option of leaving a checklist entry with an entry as information for yourself.I once tried a “multiple selection” but you can only predefine the entries. You could try with a text field, but it would be nicer with a checklist where you can create the entries in the detail view.
I am new to Airtable and haven’t had luck finding a solution for this use case. Is there a native or third-party function that automatically populates a Single-Select or Multi-Select field with the values from a column as selectable options? A manual copy/paste would not work, as the data would need to be dynamic in cases where new data is added to the source column or if one of the column’s values change.
I have about 15 checkboxes in a form, I would like to output only the clicked checkboxes as text in email.Example:Check box “You need a driver’s license”If this is choppy, I would like to have the "title" as text in the email so that the customer knows what things they need.So far it only gives me "True".
Does anyone know of a way to duplicate a base while keeping the record ids the same?We are trying to set up a "staging" instance of our Airtable tables but we have references to the record ids outside of Airtable. This causes all of the references break because new records ids are generated when we duplicate the base.Is there any way around this? Thanks,Chris
