Perhaps I’m missing it, but how do I generate random numbers? I am missing “randbetween” and “rnd” from Excel. Thanks for any and all help.

Hi - just getting into Airtable. I’ve got a spreadsheet with book details that includes authors in a field. I have them in inverted commas ie “Last Name, First Name”. This is so that I can then take the field and link to another record to create a field in an Author table where the authors appear as a record with “Last Name, First Name” in the field. However, once the spreadsheet gets into Airtable (whether pasting or importing) the inverted commas have vanished from sight and so when I link to another record each author creates two records, one with “Last Name” and one with “First Name”. Is there any workaround for this? I’ve seen the help page about preparing text but that requires adding inverted commas around every author in every record after importing which will be a massive task. The only solution I’ve come up with so far is to have authors as “Last Name/First Name” or “Last Name-First Name” in the spreadsheet as then there is no comma delimiter problem in linking to another

Most 2FA systems allow you to enter a code manually so you don't have to scan the QR code but there is no option for that in AirTable. My camera on my phone is currently broken and so I have no way I can set up 2FA with AirTable with my authentication app.Is there a button I am missing somewhere next to the QR code to get the key manually?

It would be great if you could select or filter records by a pop up / embeddable calendar in interfaces.

Hi, I have an Interface with an attachment field and I'm adding small PDF's. These are sometimes multipage PDF's All good on PC but when opening via the Airtable App on Mobile, it only displays one page. Multiple pages can be viewed if download but not just by opening. Happens on multiple device (Android). Am I missing something ?CheersJason   

So I have PDFs that are standardized for our organization. Is there any solution to take records from airtable and insert the data in to my Form Fillable PDFs. Is this possible? I looked at a lot of the extensions currently and none of them, even talked to some of the extension sites and they don't have the ability to do what I need.

Hi everyone, I have a situation and I am not sure what I should be focusing on first. There are a few levels where the problem may be coming from.I use Airtable in Chrome. As I move from cell to cell and view to view, I am often pressing a button on my Stream Deck that pastes small amounts of text for me. However, recently if I have expanded a long-text Airtable cell (so the whole cell pops up for easier reading), if I hit the button on my stream deck it closes the cell and does not paste it. This is not an issue, however, if I double-click within the cell and work on it without expanding it to the larger view. This is also not an issue with general copying/pasting with a keyboard. This issue comes and goes. I am trying to figure out where I should *start* with all this. Where do you think?- Chrome- Airtable- Stream Deck hardware- The app within Stream deck that "pastes"Hopefully the question makes sense. If you have any ideas on what could be happening I'd totally appreciate them

Hi!     I successfully synced JIRA to AirTable, with all fields appearing in AirTable correctly.     But, there is an exception:     I have a "Cascading Field" in JIRA called "Story Type", each option in the first field opens a new list in the second field.     The first field appears correctly in AirTable, but the second one no. The print below shows it better.      Is there a way to make the second field appears in AirTable?Thank you all in advance.Best regards.Nelson.

Hi everyone. I am currently trying to create a checklist for a theatre production so we always remember to load everything in the van. However, although this works perfectly when I am on the computer version, I can tick the items as they are loaded, when I transfer to the mobile app it seems to become a laborious task because when I tick on the items, rather than check the item it takes me to the individual record. Does any one know if it is possible to just check and uncheck items in the mobile version? Thanks

I have a base for tracking orders. My base has the following tables, Customer, Products, Vendors, Orders, and Order items.This is a form I created in the order table. Look at the ‘add product’ section. I want to be able to add quantity for every product selected. Is this possible? If yes, how can I achieve that? 

What’s the best way for someone to use my base? Lots of people will need to use it and add/edit records but they should not see each other’s information. They are individuals and not in the same company or organization. Can they copy my base and then use it freely? What is the best way to share so they’ll have the base to be able to add, edit, update and delete records?

Hi all,Currently, I'm using a free plan, I have ownership of the account and have around 11 workspaces. Someone else invited a user to join and now he is a collaborator. I'm traying to change is access to Owner but it doesn't appear as an option anywere. I have tried :- share the base- create new workspace , trasfer all bases there and invite  Could you please help and advice? As mentioned I have quite a lot workspaces to would want the easiest way. Thank you. 

I am trying out the new Record Template feature, and I'm struggling when I want to create a same-table linekd record. I have a field that is a linked field to the same table. It gives me the below option to "choose templates" with which to populate this field:However, when I open this up, even though I have another template within this same table, I'm given no options for my template selection:You can see two templates clearly visible behind the dropdown menu; one is the template I'm currently editing, the other is the template I would like to select from the dropdown, but which isn't visible. Is this a bug, or is there some feature I'm missing in being able to select a record template for same-table linked records?

Hey. My pictures’ links get expired while I have a paid business plan. So whenever I export a CSV file for any of my data, the links for the picture tabs get expired and I don’t get to use those expired links. Need some serious help!!

Hi all, I’m trying to use an IF formula to convert “Y” and “N” text strings into Single Selects titled “Upgraded” and “Not Upgraded”. Hi, I have a Single Select field that has the options “This week”, “This month”, “This quarter”. I’d like these to be automatically chosen and updated based on a Date field. The purpose of this is to use a Matrix block to display records by a “Event Type” Single Select on the Y axis and in relative date categories “This week” etc on the X axis. Is this possible, or can anyone suggest a better solution?

We have a retail chain with 150 stores.  I have a workflow where the stores complete a form to give feedback on the quality of a product.  In my base the forms are submitted into one table (Feedback).  The Feedback table is linked to a table called Stores that is a list of all 150 stores will their detail. It is also linked to the Product table that is a list of all the products.I am trying to create visibility for the team that will show them which stores have not yet submitted their feedback per product.  I tried to do this in the Stores table as all 150 stores are listed there.  The problem is that the lookup to the product field will contain multiple products per store.  And as soon as I filter on Product I only see the stores who have submitted feedback - I want to see the ones who have not yet submitted feedback.Any ideas of how I can achieve this? 

Hi AT CommunityI have a Google Sheet which has cell values (text/currency) which I would like to bring into Airtable. Along with those values I need the user to answer some questions. I would like to prefill form fields with the cell values from the Google Sheet, hide the fields, leaving visible only the questions which I need answering. Any suggestions on how I could go about this please? It needs to be a one step from Google Sheet to Form. I have looked into prefilling a Google Form from Google Sheet, this then populates Google Sheet (form response Google Sheet), when a row is added it creates a record in Airtable Base. I don't think you can hide Google form fields which isn't a huge problem, but not my preference. Any other thoughts or suggestions. THANK YOU.

Sorry that this question looks a little like a written math problem, but:We are tracking employee requested PTO via Airtable.When an employee uses their PTO, they can request to pull from a group of 5 temps to cover their shifts.We'd like for employees to be able to see a list of dates that still have temps available before they put in their PTO requests.What I can seem to do is group by date of time off requested, and it shows me the total count for how many times a specific date has a request for a temp. (See below - 1 person requested a temp on 3/14, while 4 people requested a temp on 3/15.)Or, I can have a calendar view, stripped of personal information, that shows how many requests have been made of a specific day. (See below.)However, what I would like to do is have a formula like TempsAvail = 5 - SUM(RequestDateCount), and then have either a list or a calendar spit out that number.
