Schedules Example Base This is my first post to forum; hope I get the mechanics right. You may find this base handy if you need to schedule recurring events. I work for a community radio station and wanted to be able to offer users the ability to schedule our on-air broadcasts and various meetings as recurring events. I wanted to give users the same flexibility they have in Google Calendar and Outlook. I’ve encapsulated recurring date calculation logic in a single table: “Schedules”. I’ve seeded the table with example rows and the primary field’s default formula describes each row using the user-entered fields. The Schedules calendar view shows a set of example recurring dates, with the primary field documenting each recurring pattern. Check out the calendar view to get a quick idea of scheduling features. Since all recurring dates are calculated off of the value of the built-in Airtable TODAY() function, the calendar is always automatically up to date. Recurring dates that slip into
Hi, we're long-time users of Airtable, but we've found that the iOS application has a long loading time. To bridge that gap, we've created a Comprehensive Library of Airtable Siri Shortcuts. To give you a better idea of how these Airtable Siri Shortcuts can ease your mobile data management, we've created a short demonstration video. Watch the video below to see how easy it is to create records in a base using Siri and open a specific Airtable table using Siri. Create records in base using Siri– With just a voice command, you can directly create a new record in your Airtable base without even launching the Airtable app. This shortcut streamlines your workflow and saves valuable time. Open a specific Airtable table using Siri– Simply ask Siri to open a specific table in your Airtable base, and it will be done instantly. No more navigating through the app to find the table you need. Customize data organization – Specify the target table and field names for each shortcut, ens
I use a single base (Contuity) as my relationship manager, task manager, journal, brainstorming tool, invoice generator, and more. Scenario: Journaling is good for you I was using voice memos to record a 10 minute audio journal entry every day and I didn’t want my audio journals to be seperate from my written journal entries (in Airtable). I set up a single click mobile “start recording” program that saves the audio as an attachment. Here’s how Workflow: Tap icon Desktop icon opens “Shortcuts” Shortcut begins recording audio Tap to stop recording Email is generated with audio attached (.m4a), subject is populated with “Audio” “To” is populated with “trigger@applet.ifttt.com” “From” is populated with my email IFTTT captures email and creates a new record with audio as the attachment and the subject and any text in the notes field. What’s been great is discovering how frequently I use it. People suggest we record a part of a conversation to bring up later so we don’t need to take notes.

Hey Airtable community! Wanted to share this project that has helped us make Airtable a more effective tool for a bunch of companies. Bracket just released a Snowflake connector. If your company & product relies on Snowflake to house all data, but you still want to use Airtable to manage your data and operations, now you can do both 😊Bracket turns Airtable into a UI for Snowflake so that you can read data from Snowflake, write data to Snowflake, or both at the same time without ever leaving Airtable. Why did we build this? Because we know that Snowflake has its place for a company and for engineering teams, but business teams love ❤️ Airtable to run their team & processes and are often excluded from accessing Snowflake and the data that lives inside. How do you get started?Create an empty Airtable or empty Snowflake table with field names but no data (only one of them has to be empty to start)Go to https://app.usebracket.comEnter the connection details
Hey folks,I've put together a guide to Airtable scripting based on a scripting 'cheatsheet' notebook I've built up over time. It includes a mix of info from the official scripting docs and places like Google (and this forum) when the docs didn't have the answers.Figured this info might be useful for others, so I turned it into a blog post:https://simplescraper.io/blog/complete-guide-airtable-scriptingIt covers the basics but also dives into some more advanced techniques. The idea is to have all this info in one place for quick reference.Hope you find it helpful. Feel free to share any feedback or additional tips ✌️
Hello !I am using Airtable for invoicing. Very soon, I will have to increase prices. Is there a simple way to implement the new prices without affecting the already existing invoices?
Hi, my wonderful Airtablers! And another one! I've just launched Data Extraction extension built for Airtable!https://airtable.com/marketplace/blkiQT71Vaz7uwi5j/data-extractionExport selected data to formats like JSON, XML, CSV, SQL insert queries, or ASCII tables directly from your base. I got inspiration from the database extraction tools incorporated into IntelliJ Datagrip that I have always loved using. I wanted to see something like that on Airtable as well, plus it's sheer joy to build! There's a lot of feature potential, but I am going to be very community-led with it in terms of the feature set. It's completely free to use, but later on if there is a demand for hosted results (essentially you'd have your own custom API to Airtable), then this would make sense to offer under a paid tier.Drop me a line with your feedback or any features you'd like to see!
Hey Airtable Community,I wanted to share a neat trick I discovered for those of us who use Firefox as our primary browser. As many of you might know, the Airtable Web Clipper extension doesn’t support Firefox. This was a bit of a setback for me since I rely heavily on Airtable for organizing my web content. But, I found a workaround using iOS Shortcuts that mimics the Web Clipper functionality perfectly!I’ve created a detailed video tutorial to walk you through the entire process. You can watch it here: Here’s what I did:Setting Up the Shortcut:First, I created a custom shortcut on my iPhone/iPad that allows me to clip webpages directly into Airtable. This involves selecting the page, sharing it, and then triggering the shortcut.Using the Shortcut:When I’m on a webpage I want to clip, I simply hit the share button, choose my shortcut, and it prompts me to select the Airtable table where I want to save the webpage. For instance, I have a table for articles, and it saves the title
A simple page to show how to use CSV Getter to query your Airtable data. Great for MVP app building.https://www.csvgetter.com/sql-query-airtableI'm looking for feedback 🙂
This system is used to keep track of the sales for a pharmacy business and provide stats and data such as number of items available, total sales both weekly and daily, and also sync the data between the different tables availableWe created a few tables to store the main data such as main inventory of all available items, daily sales, total sales and a sales summary table. With n8n, we unify this data to work as a single unit that can provide deeper insights on how the business is runningFun Parts:1. We can find the total number of items that are remaining after each sale2. Automatically find daily sumaries for each product sold based on sales3. Automaiclly calculate the profit ratio for each of the products sold in realtime4. Notifications for all orders below 20% in stock. 5. The dashboard displays quick stats that are easier to see and follow eg best sales, total items sold in a day etcWhat happens when we reach the free airtable limit? We will be integrating a nocodb backend for
I noticed there wasn't any native solutions for shortening URLs on Airtable, so I developed a block extension that does it for you: URL Shortener https://airtable.com/marketplace/blkGvhDb0ZsSfXpJv/url-shortener-by-silver-tazaHope this helps!Creating this tool was all about delivering value. It's designed to be user-friendly: generating links is super simple, and the analytics provide detailed insights on your link's performance. Plus, you can even create a QR code for any link directly within the app.I also created a tailored URL shortener service on the backend to avoid the steep costs of other services, ensuring you get the most bang for your buck. Even the free tier is meant to be generous and not limiting for most use cases. Drop me a line with your feedback or any features you'd like to see!
We are currently trying to move our hiring onboarding process to Airtable. In our company, we have a medical team (Nurses & Doctors), a health coaching team, a business/marketing team, and soon to be technology team. In a perfect world this is how I want the onboarding process to work:- First the prospect will fill a form out giving their basic information. (Phone number, address, email, desired job position, etc.)- Once the form is submitted, we can select hire or reject.- Once hired, Airtable will then take that prospect and insert them into the proper Job Specific/employment type onboarding checklist.- Onboarding a medical new hire will be vastly different than onboarding a new health coach as they require different technology and employment forms. Medical staff are typically full time and health coaches are part time. We also need to consider contractors who will fill out a W-9 instead of a W-4.In short, I want to build a process in airtable that will allow us to
I have been building TaskRobin to help Airtable users to save emails to Airtable. Now with new features to craft your very own custom and smart CRM in Airtable!Add the official TaskRobin Airtable extension to your base You can now automatically track and update all your email contacts to a separate contacts table. New contacts will be automatically added to this table with name, email address and first contacted date. Then, your last interaction date will automatically be updated whenever you save or log an email with these contacts in them. Here's a step by step guide to build your own Airtable CRM with TaskRobin. If you are not familiar with TaskRobin yet, it is an Airtable extension to save your emails to Airtable with a simple forward. You can now save emails to Airtable with a simple forward, while capturing all the important meta data such as subject, sender, attachment files for filtering. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically add profile pictures to your Airtable records based on phone numbers. This method leverages a simple yet effective integration. For a step-by-step walkthrough, check out this video on youtube.
Inspired by this discussion, I wrote a script for the Scripting block that lets you instantly start and stop a virtual timer on any record, provided that the table is set up to work with this script. Aside from adding the script into a Scripting block, setup only requires three new fields: A single line text field, which will store the script’s timing data (used internally; may be hidden) A duration field, where the script will store the tracked time A button field, which must be set to trigger the Scripting block that contains the script. I suggest labeling this button “Start/Stop,” for reasons that you’ll see below. Use: Click the button once to start the “timer.” Click it again to stop it and see the duration. Need to continue timing on that same record? Click the button again to restart. The next click after that will tally the elapsed time from both timing “sessions” and put the total in the duration field. Start and stop the timer as much as you need. How it works: Each time yo
Hey all,Having a request from a client I found a way to add image in our signatures for email we send using Gmail action in Airtable. Due to the fact that the image element is not included in Airtable's markdown list we can add it by adding a piece of html code in our action. Below is the code and the explanation of using it. </td><td width=96 valign=top> <div class=t102 style="display:inline-table;text-align:initial;vertical-align:inherit;width:48.97959%;max-width:96px;"> <table role=presentation width=100% cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 class=t104><tr> <td class=t105><div style="font-size:0px;"><img class=t106 style="display:block;border:0;height:auto;width:15%;Margin:0;max-width:25%;" width={image_width} height={image_height} src={image_public_url}></div></td>Comments about the code: {image_width} & {image_height} are display settings for the image you want to add in your signature. Please keep in m
Hello everyone,I would like to build an automated job board in WP (Job pages > Airtable > WordPress). See attached architecture slide:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/d9ftp9zanahokjusrp6a9/AutomatedJobBoard_Wordpress.pdf?rlkey=rf0g80txtb8r81y1c0tsvm87f&st=gymto6cf&dl=0 I have tried different plugins and applications like WP Job Manager for the Job board in WP, Make.com or Zapier for the integration Airtable in WP and/or Indeed Integration for the integration of Job page into Airtable. But nothing works fully:The biggest problem is that I can only post/update the variables in bulk for the jobs from Airtable into WP in the WP content section of a page/post.Does anyone have any ideas how to post/update different variables (cells) in Airtable to specific elements or blocks on a WP page/post? Is it dynamic content, customer fields, advanced customer fields for the integration of content from Airtable to WP with Make.com?Thanks,Victoria
Hello Airtable community! Let's talk about integrations. You need them because your business runs on too many different software systems that don't communicate with each other, so people end up working in data silos without a reliable source of truth (except of course, for Airtable). So each team ends up dealing with incomplete data or relying on inefficient and unreliable manual processes. So you're faced with either learning how to automate yourself in limited trigger/action recipes, or outsourcing complex and costly solutions to external consultants. In either case it's a bit like building an IKEA bedroom set without instructions. Or a dining room set, your preference! Anyway, there actually is another solution in the form of a code-free integration solution that lets you set up a flow in 10 minutes that can:Create new Airtable records based on data from your other apps;Create items (tasks, tickets, issues, events, etc.) in other tools based on your Airt
Hi everyone,When using DocsAutomator, you can now group line items similarly to how records can be grouped inside of Airtable. Example for line items are grouped according to status: To learn more, please watch the demo here: https://youtu.be/rqxfuXcZuEw?si=AlN7fh8vyDEYvF3UWould love to hear your feedback and what you think!
My CEO opened up her account settings and is only able to change her password. The setup two-factor authentication setting is not displayed on her end.
I've saved myself countless hours repurposing helper data from other projects; so I've decided to start publishing them.Countries and Timezones in particular are great for adding some helpful context to a list of companies or staff – or just to help you time your email triggers better.I recommend using them as a synced view so that the timezones update through daylight savings.Enjoy!
HiI'm trying to create a script for a ticketing machine. However, it looks like this (See screenshot below)Here's the script that I used: // Define the orders tablelet ordersTable = base.getTable("Orders");// Fetch all order recordslet ordersQuery = await ordersTable.selectRecordsAsync({ fields: ["Order Number", "Customer ID", "Name", "Email", "Phone Number", "Address", "Selected Meals", "Order Date", "Delivery Date", "Order Type", "Order Status"]});// Loop through each order and generate the ticketfor (let orderRecord of ordersQuery.records) { // Fetch order details let orderNumber = orderRecord.getCellValue("Order Number");
