There’s a ton of excellent tools for turning data in Airtable into websites. But how about the reverse - scraping data from websites into Airtable? After some good community feedback I’ve launched a direct Airtable integration on Simplescraper to help you do that. Choose a website to scrape, enter the details of the base and table where you want the data to appear, click run, and your data instantly appears in Airtable. Here’s a tutorial that scrapes jobs listings directly from Indeed into a base and it should work similarly on almost every website. I know

There’s probably an easier way to do this, but I was quite pleased with the solution I came up with. I’d be interested to hear what you think… I’m building an auditing tool composed of a large number of questions that can be answered Yes, No, or N/A. This needs to give an overall “score” as the final output, as a percentage, where questions for which “N/A” is selected aren’t counted towards the overall score, i.e. the score is calculated by the total number of questions answered “Yes”, divided by the total number of applicable questions. I set up a test version of this tool and filled in some results here. My new app “Ready-Made Formulas” is now available on the Airtable marketplace. This app includes over a dozen “ready-to-use” formulas for common tasks such as formatting numbers and dates as text strings to include in reports generating urls for prefilled forms and prefiltered shared views extracting attachment filenames and urls manipulating dates consolidating data from multiple fields into JSON format Simply choose your formula, pick your table and fields, and select your options. Then, copy and paste the formula into your formula field. Most formulas require a premium license.

Hi! So I recently noticed that if I am creating records in a filtered view that all NEW records added in that view will automatically get the same values that are required by that filter. This is pretty AWESOME! Ive been itching to get new records to auto-fill and this helps me get toward that goal. Feature request… If you could attach a form view to create records in a specific view, that would ROCK! However, I do also use the ‘prefill’ in the URL option to do that.

I have a cool table that collects all the trade opportunities that i get. I can also do a calender view on it. the only thing i need to figure out is how to showcase the calendar view by points missed instead of event. Any ideas? I am using the free version so far.

I’m working on a Squarespace site right now for a friend, and they want to collect information on the site. Squarespace’s abilities with forms are better than nothing, but not by much. Luckily, I’ve already turned my friend into a huge fan of Airtable, so he’s excited that we can collect the data in Airtable. Squarespace gives you the ability to embed code in a page/post, so this is incredibly easy. They give you an example of embedding a Wufoo form, but you can use the exact same strategy to embed an Airtable form. Create your form in Airtable. Click the button to get the Embed code (use the adjust height checkbox to make the form look better). Create a Code block in your Squarespace page/post. Copy the form’s Embed code into your Code block.
