Hi,I have a formula that almost works. I'm trying to make my primary field a formula where it looks at "Column A" and looks at "Column B". If a there's a value in "Column A", enter that value as the primary field. If there's a value in "Column B", enter that value in the primary filed. If there's a value in both "Column A" and "Column B", combine those two values and place a "/" between the two fields. Say I have a base with a table that has a parent/child relationship with itself.  Projects with parent/child projects, Tasks with subtasks, Contacts with links to a fiance or manager – there's a lot of use-cases for linking a record to another record in the same table.  The problem I'm running into is that two-way sync doesn't allow you to edit linked records to the same table.Linked records in two way sync is so great, and it fixed soooooo many things in my workflow – but I can't figure this one out.  Links to the same table are not editable in the target base as far as I can tell, but I really really want to be able to make changes to parent/child relationships in a target base. The only way around this I've been abl

Hey Airtable Community,I have a list of tasks, and I group them by project (which is a separate table). I also have a field in the project table, specifically a progress field, and I’d like to display this field alongside the grouped tasks in the interface.I remember I've done it before and I even have a screenshot I attach below. I have a task table and some have linked records to a subtask table. Is there a way to get the subtasks to show up on a timeline view page that the source is the task table?If not, is there any other suggested way of managing subtasks that would allow this that isn't a long text with rich text checkboxes?Thanks! 

I have a 4 table layered structure in my base.  VP<->Objective<->KR<->Project.  Each layer has a link to the layer above/below it.  I am creating an interface to show all of the work under each VP.  For Objectives solely under 1 VP, this is working great.  My challenge is that we have some Objectives that are shared between multiple VPs.  When I show those, I want the table to look like this:Shared Objective   Shared KR        Projects (filtered to show only the selected VPs projects)I have fields in the Projects table that I can use to filter, but have no way (that I can see) to apply a filter in this way.I tried creating a link from Project<->VP.  From that, I can build a table of Projects grouped by KR, but I can't show any of the KR information in the table.  Is there a way to do what I am trying? 

Hi there, I’ve added a new custom field to my primary view and put it the order I want it to be with my other fields. When I navigate to a secondary view that custom field is alllllll the way at the end of my view (not where it is in my primary view). Is there a way to customize the field so that it’s at the beginning of every view? Does that make sense?

I have tried all week, very unsuccessfully, to get my company's account upgraded from Team to Business.  I have submitted multiple sales contact forms and help desk tickets.  Nothing but crickets.  Is there any DIRECT line to a human sales person at Airtable that can assist, today, in getting our company switched over?  We were supposed to roll out AT to our entire research team today but because I could not get it hooked into Okta, we had to delay for...well who knows now.  

Hi All,I've been working on customizing a script for an air table base I'm building, and I've hit a wall with fixing the section about copying over dependency (linked record field) from the template tasks table into the active tasks table. Hello. I am a dog trainer with multiple board and train dogs that stay with me for various programs I offer. I teach the dogs in phases, and would like to keep track of where each dog is in their progress. Can I have an automation where if a record is marked as "done", the notes field is updated with new text with the next steps? The dogs are always in different places in training, and my brain feels so torn trying to mentally keep up with who has mastered what skill. I just want a way to visually see things as well as help hold me accountable to follow steps without skipping any, as the dogs start to blur together and sometimes I go too fast/slow (I'm on limited time, the dogs need to be ready in 2, 3, or 4 weeks depending on program!) 

Hi, How can I add multiple rows at once in a table. (This is a function that is super easy in google spreadsheet). AT only allows for one row at a time and I have to keep clicking on the Plus sign. Too much work. I wanna add 100 rows at once. Is that possible?

I am allowing users to add projects via record templates by clicking an add project button in my interface. The challenge is that while much of the information they need to create is already handled by the template (i.e. tasks, predecessors, etc.). I do need them to create a project name, assign a project manager, etc. When I select the template a form opens to collect this information. So when I select Broadband (New or Upgrade) I get this form which has all the information I need to collect. But when I select the Disconnect Any Services template I get a completely different form.Some of the templates appear to reuse the sam

Hi, I have shared a Base with two users from a different organisation (our client) by an email Invite to the whole Base.They are using the same view links as we do, and they cannot see the view filtering options (icons are hidden). What can be the root cause of the problem?We have already tested the same invite with a test account and it works fine - same Editor permissions, no specific settings applied, but we can see all icons on the test account.Might this be linked to some restrictions on the client's side or a web browser with cookie restrictions?We are unable to identify the problem so far.

Hello, First time post so apologies in advance...I have a Deliveries table, The idea is when I select a "ship package" [eg.Floor: Sheathing] it pulls up the Assemble numbers with a lookup field - that correlate to a material list on another table. I then have a script which converts that lookup field into a multiple select field. This all functions correctly.Now my issue is that i want to select a series of boxes ["Ship" "Ready" Delivered"]. The idea being that i have a script [i have zero programing knowledge and have ai write my scripts], That when "ship" is checked the script hunts through the "Materials Table" using data from  the "# Reformat" field and with each record that is found in "Assembly #" to match one of the many possible numbers it checks the "Picklist" box. My script below says it works but it does not check the any boxes. 

Hello again - I'm having trouble getting an Interface button to call a recordId when it is pressed. I created an interface view of a Record List for an Attendance table and even though the button is in the Record Detail view (Pic #1), I can't get it to send a RecordID to the automation. I've rebuilt the interface multiple times and the automation.But, when I run the automation within the table and click the button in the column, it works. But not entirely: I created a webhook>docupilot>gmail workflow to make a PDF and send an email. I have the Immediately as data arrives switch ON in Make, but, it doesn't do that. I have to click Run once - Wait for new data, then, go in Table view and hit the button and then it works. Automation json attached too.My whole goal is to have it so I can at least just click the button of all the rows on by one in Table view (Pic #2) and the automatio

Hi there!I have made a regular airtable automation to send an e-mail when certain conditions are met. I was wondering, is there a way to have a value (not a list of values) of a certain cell in a certain row as an e-mail subject?To put it more directly, when status of an order (field order status) is "finished", an e-mail is sent where the name of the client (field client) from the same record is a part of the e-mail subject.Any help is very much appreciated!

Hi everytone!I just embbeded a calendar on my website and I would like to remove the "See Bigger Version" option, which when clicked takes the visitors to airtable full calendar version.As I just want them to interact with the calendar from my site, filling a quick form whose details go onto the calendar, is there any way to remove the mentioned option?This option is on bottom right corner of the calendar, opposite corner to the Airtable logo. Any ideas or advice is truely appreciated. Maybe this question has already been answered. However, I search for it and found nothing.I'm a new user. Is there a way to make kanban boards more colorful like adding background colors? It seems that kanban boards are mostly black text on a white background when using Airtable on the web. It would be easier on the eyes if the white background could be changed to another color of my choosing. I'd also like to change background colors for each category and each task if possible.Thanks.

When I linked field data from table A into the field on table B, I noticed that there were fields that created automatically on table A. that linked with table B. How can I stop this action? I only want data from table A to show in table B. Thank you : ))

Hi folks, Possibly being a little too ambitious here, but i'm trying to set up a Vega-lite extension to create a geographical heatmap displaying $total sales value per U.S county, using the Vega Editor example 'Choropleth of unemployment rate per County'.(Originally wanted to go with zip codes, but opted for counties to save creating a 40,000+ record table in my base just to run a single chart).I'm brand new to vega-lite and json in general, so wondering if anyone has managed to achieve this (or similar)?, or has any general tips in terms of using Vega's Geographical Map Displays in their Airtable Base?Thanks for reading 🙂

I am using a formula to calculate a date in one field, and then trying to use another formula field to determine whether a contract is current, future, or expired using that date and another manually entered date field.  The field I'm using to determine if the range returns the wrong results if I use the calculated expiration date field, but if I use a manually entered field with that same date, the calculated range returns correctly.   ExpDate:DATETIME_FORMAT( DATEADD( DATEADD( LIC__EffDate, {Term (Mo)}, "months"),-1, 'DAYS'), 'M/DD/YYYY') 

Hello!I would like to tag some records based on the text content in a column (ie: if Title contains "Tour" tag Tours). Feels like it should be pretty straightforward but I can't figure out how? Thanks! For more context: I imported all of my team's events from Outlook and realized Airtable doesn't support the "Category" feature, so I want to add tags to these events so that we can break down the data. Hi guys,We'd like to be able to import a list of around 30 items (BoM) at a time to a Cost Estimates table, create a single record in a Cost Centres table and link all the items in the BoM import to this Cost Centres record. The name of the Cost Centre record won't be known on import, so can't be specified in the importing csv. Each import should create a new Cost Centres record.I have tried playing around with automations but hit the issue of automations running in parallel and creating several Cost Centre records before the BoM records find them and start linking to them.I'm sure this can be done with a script but I'm hoping there's a way I can avoid that. If not, I'm happy to pursue that avenue and am open to some advice on how best to implement that.Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Josh
