I'd like every new contact's email to automatically create a record in Airtable or Google Sheet/Excel, facilitating manual loading into my Airtable.Currently, I have two tables - one for personal contacts and one for companies. While the tables are linked, an issue arises when multiple contacts from the same company result in the company appearing multiple times in the Company Table. Hi I have two fields ie a created time field and a formula field for the time field. I have an issue with time displayed in the formula field. Hello airtable enthusiasts,I was wondering if anyone here has tried documenting airtable automations. I have a bunch of automations that use airtable blocks and sometimes even use the airtable scripts. I want to do a step by step documentation of what the the script does in a separate file for future reference. Is it possible using airtable? Alternatively does airtable AI help with it? If not, are there any other tools that help with the documentation process? Thanks 

I joined a team that's been using Airtable for a few years and noticed there's a view that was created by someone who's now retired. Is there a way to tell who's using a view so we can determine if it's okay to delete it?

I am trying to build a more comprehensive product-tree type base where I can accurately keep track of Projects, Assemblies, Parts, attachments, and revisions. I want to have a parent-child relationship in that same order as well, but I don't strictly need to assign this attribute. The goal is to have some sequence number for an assembly or part, where the first few strings are based on their parent fields. I've found a sufficient workaround for the hierarchy by just linking tables and limiting to one field per record. Now I'm stuck because I can't limit my count or sum formulas to only be above the current record like I would in excel. For example, I have AssemblyA, AssemblyB, and AssemblyC.If assemblies A and B already have 5 parts each, when I create the first part for AssemblyC it should be in the format [Proj#]-[AssyC]-001. With autonumber the sequence would have jumped directly to 11 by now, even though this is the first part for AssyC. Has anyone found a way to implement this?

I am building a product using softr and airtable. On Softr, I have a list item that has a button which will capture the name of the user who clicked on the button. I want to capture the names of the users who click the button, all in one cell of the airtable against the item record. I have set the column type as multi select. I am unable to get it one as the cell is overwriting or deleting the existing data in that cell. is it possible to show multiple tokens in one cell against the respective record only.

Hi all, I am using Fillout Form integrated with Airtable. I have two tables in one airtable base. One table lists all the eligible emails that can login and fill out the form. The second table is where the form submissions land. I would like to be able to tell who has actually submitted a form from the "Eligible email table". Essentially I would like to automatically "read" the "modified time" column found in the "Submission Form Table" within the "Eligible email Table" when the emails in the columns match. From what I understand formulas in airtable cannot talk to each other across tables? And the lookup function doesn't have a way connect that the emails match? I am creating my first form. I am trying to test it, so I open an incognito tab and use a different email address to try to fill out the form. It goes like thisEnter URL"You're almost there... Please enter your email address to fill out this form"I enter a different email address, not associated with my airtable account. Click "continue""Create your free account" -> prompts me to enter my "work email" and click continueANOTHER "Create your free account" page, this one prompts me to enter full name and a password. At this point I give up. There is a progress bar on the bottom that implies there are several steps to creating an account. I just need people to be able to fill out my form quickly.I need the ability to have respondents fill out a form without having to jump through all these hoops and create an airtable account. Hi all,I have an automation that needs to send an email to several people in one organization (the record is the organization). Is it possible to add more than one email address into the same field (Email? text?) rather than me creating 5 different fields that are all columns?

Hello! I have created a Airtable Team Calendar for my team. This calendar gives people the visibility to check who's out of office/PTO for capacity planning. In this page, they can add their meeting with a button I added called "Add Event". Is there a way to automate this submission so that it goes to the user's Outlook calendar as well and mark them as Out of Office/PTO for the days they selected? Right now it would be double the work to do this within Airtable and then Outlook so I'm looking to see if this is possible so people don't have to go the extra mile. Thank you!

I have a form that i am sending out to my team members to understand how much time they anticipate they will spend on a project. I'd like to create a dashboard that shows in a bar chart how much time each member of the team anticipates to spend this week by project. Hoping there is maybe native support here now, but probably not.I have a table where all the records are parts, and they have part ID, unit weight, quantity, and total weight. I would like to add a field that shows what % of the total weight of ALL parts that particular part is. So for example if my total weights of 4 records are 100, 200, 300, 400, then for records 1-4 the % in the calc'd value would be 10% (100/(100+200+300+400)), 20%, 30%, and 40%.I know this was limited in the past and the "best" workaround was to link every single record to a single record in another field, then lookup the roll-up sum total, then operate on that. It works but is clunky and gives you extra tables. Is there anything native baked in yet? Seems airtable has made a lot of progress but it still has these weird "create a new table and link to that and then roll-up there and then look-up in the original table and then operate on that" work-arounds that should have been long-since handled to simply base de

Hello I’ve not been able to find documentation on whether it is possible to obtain the schema of an existing base, other than the one that is autogenerated in the form of online documentation. I intend to use this Schema to auto generate language bindings for specific bases; while code changes may still be required in the case of statically type languages one has to deal with updating the data structs that allow use to enforce type-safety and the specific code that use the endpoints. As I'm quite new on Airtable, I need some help on the general approach for the following task:I already have a table of products for my Webdesign Agency with prices per year and use this also to track by renewals.Structure like in this photo:Now, I want to have a table, where I can distribute the costs to my customer. I would need to assign products to customers and based on the numbers of customer assigned to a product, the cost per customer is calculated (Price of the product divided by the numbers of customers using this product = price per customer) and it should be displayed like in this Excel table I use currently:Honestly saying, I have no idea, if such a scenario could be done with Airtable or if I should use Excel instead...So my question: Is this possible and if yes, is there any tutorial available, where such a scenario is explained?Thanks in advance for your help!Cheers Peter

Hi all,A few months ago I had an automation working as follows.Trigger: Everyday at 8:00am - Find records were condition1 = x and condition2 = ySend an email with a grid/list of records matching these conditionsNow when I try to use the automation, 'grid of records' or 'list of records' are no longer options within the Message section of the email action. I even went back an old snapshot of the automation and found it existing as an option - but it fails to run and is greyed out (see photos below ). I've created an automation where when a checkbox is checked on a record in one table ("Assets") it creates a story/issue in JiraI have a second table ("Jira Sync") that is the real time sync to all the jira issues/stories.My desire is to automate the Link/lookup of the jira record id (Key) to be assigned back to the Assets table but this is the part i cannot untangle. I know there's a way to automate a vlookup between two tables so i could match on the "Summary" field which should be an exact match between the two tables but I'm not sure how to execute that - would the trigger be when a new record is created on the Jira Sync table?Further more, once the Jira Key is mapped back to the Assets table, can i create an automation where if i update any of those fields on the Assets table (trigger= when a record is updated) it will update the issue in jira. thereby creating a two way sync?thank you!
