HiI'm using the Resource Allocation template that Airtable created as a guide for my own version of a team resources tracker. Problem is, our jobs have many different levels of effort required depending on what's being requested. I think I have it set up in a decent way to allow for that, but in testing, it's looking like it's too cumbersome to have someone fill in the estimated amount of time required EVERY single time the job comes in, especially for revisions. For example:Initial layout of the job may take 8 hours. When that same job comes back in for revisions (which can be numerous times) each time the amount of effort required will vary. Could be a quick fix, 15 minutes. Could be a partial re-do, 3 hours.  Any suggestions on how to best automate populating the time required field, for each time revisions come in? The goal is to have an accurate view of each designer's workload. If I set up general ranges for various tasks, or try to train AI to guess (if that'

Hey All.I have an interface setup and there are fields that I only want visible by certain users.  There's a collab field with certain members assigned to the records.  I thought this would limit the field based on just those collabs, however everyone can still see it, including me.  The idea is for example, fields with Ed's name visibility is filtered by Ed, and Julie.  They are the only ones that should see it.    Any ideas?   

Hi all! I have a two-way sync enabled between two bases. On the source base I have enabled edits from the target base, and I am able to add individual records on the target base and have these show up on the source base. However, the Import CSV extension shows an error that says I cannot create new records in the target base.I am 100% sure it's not a settings problem in the sync because I am able to add individual new records on the target base. Can anyone advise? Is this just a bug on the extension?Thanks in advace!Alex

I manage an instance of SF at a company of 50+ employees. I would like to build an airtable base that generally mirrors it, but is better, and then establish a sync between the base I build and Salesforce. Has anyone done anything like this? Was the documentation helpful enough for me to rely on it to do a project like this?

Hi, I coud use some help on what I think is a relatively simple few concepts.I have a base called "Sales Pipeline" where I am tracking:Deal Name (Acme, Inc)Pipeline Stage (intro, qualified, opportunity etc)Opportunity Status (active, lost, won)Let's say there are 100 total records, each with a Deal Name, a Pipeline Stage and an Opp StatusI'd like to be able to: Calculate the Intro to Qualified conversion % (so if we've had 100 records at the "Intro Stage" and 62 have converted to the "Qualified" stage, then we should show a 62% conversion)Same for Qualified to Opportunity etcSimilarly, I want to be able reflect the Opportunity Status conversion % as well. So for example, if we have 100 records that entered the funnel at the "Intro" Stage, and 62 converted to "Qualified" but since then 32 of those have an Opportunity Status of "Lost", we'd really only want to reflect an Intro > Qualified (Active) conversion of 30%. I suspect I can do this using a 1) separate base, that 2) i

I paid the annual $240 fee that covers me from July 2024-2025 but in August I was charged $461. Is there both an annual membership plus collaborator fee? I'm not understanding the remaining time/un-used time and why I was charged so much. We have tried to request a refund as we never intended to pay this much but I was told it would only be credited to our account? How can I resolve this? We had 1 additional collaborator that I removed to make sure so we now only have 1 collaborator (myself) on all bases. Anyone experience something similar?

Hi Everyone,I'm very new to Airtable and anything like it. I am trying to create a base that captures our firm's new clients and tracks their onboarding process. The problem I'm having is that a new client can go through different/multiple processes depending on the service relationship(s). For example, one client can have 3 different service relationships at the same time and all 3 may share multiple onboarding stages but also have stages that are distinct to the service relationship.I would like a base where I can enter in the client's name and select the appropriate service relationship(s). Each service relationship will have it's onboarding stages, with the correct assigned staff to complete the task. Each service will also designate what forms are required. Everyone can see where a new client is in the process for situational awareness and also know when they have a task to complete. As an staff member completes a task it automatically moves to the next stage and notifies the next

Hey all,Is there any way possible to colour a multi-select field based on the colours of another field value? These fields are both linked records from another table.Scenario) I have a "Campaign/Production Pipeline" table that is stacked and coloured by STATUS.) I have another table called "Campaign Overview" which outlines all campaigns using a grid view. GoalI would like to create a visual overview of all campaigns based on their STATUS in a grid view that you can scroll through horizontally. Essentially, I would like the colours to reflect their respective statuses based on the "Production Pipeline" table. Please see the screenshots attached. I'm having an issue I hope someone can help me with.I have one table that I fill out myself with an applicant's basic contact info, including an ID number and their email address, and that I then use to track the Status of their project (projects can last from six months to multiple years). Once I set the Status of their project to "New," I have an automation set up so the contact receives an email with a link to a form to fill out with more detailed contact info that is used manually populate an invoice (my work uses a separate system for invoicing). I created a different table for the form, since a) the detailed contact info is only needed for the manual process, b) I don't want to clutter up the main table with this detailed contact info, and c) it's easier to create a form with a nice separate table vs. using only certain cells from another table.The issue that I'm running into now is how to make these two tables talk to each other. I recently started using air table as a PIM. Each product has multiple tasks that need to go to team members. I want each task to be its own task per product.(Ex Product A and Product B booth need a description but currently in tasks they are both grouped under the one "Description" task and are not able to be marked as done individually.)Is there a way to make these all 1-1 instead of 1 -many? 

I believe I noticed a discrepancy on the documentation for updating a record.The returnFieldsByFieldId parameter is not specified as being an option on the Request Body, but it is mentioned in the Response Format section. It's also mentioned in the description for the endpoint too.Unfortunately, this parameter is not currently supported when updating a record, however I would love it if it were!!See this screenshot: Please consider adding support for returning fields by IDs when updating a record, so your documentation will be accurate 😉

Hi everyone,I'm looking to create a formula where, given a specific day of the week, and a time range, the formula will generate an output, and then write a script where it will take the output and enter it into a Linked Field box. For example, on Wednesdays between 7:20am to 8:00am, I want to generate a result that says "Period 1." 8:06am - 8:50am would be "Period 2," and so on, so forth. We have different bell schedules for different day of the weeks. And then, once it generates the result, I want to have a script run to add the "Class Period" into the empty Class Period box. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help that could be provided! 

Hi all, I'm fairly new to Airtable formulas so not sure if this is actually possible.I'm trying to create a base for employees to view leave balances and submit new requests. I want to be able to show the hours used between the start date and end date but only the hours on working days excluding bank holidays. A working day would be 8 hours between 9am to 5pm.If possible I'd also like to calculate that against a persons FTE % so if a person only works 4 hours per day the working hours would be from 8am to 12pm. Requested leave from the 2nd of September 9am to the 6th of September 5pm duration 40 hours. Requested leave on the 2nd of September from 9am to 11am the duration 2 hours. Requested leave who works 50% from the 2nd of September 9am to the 6th of September 5pm duration 20 hours. I have had quite a few attempts now and have managed to get it to show 40 hours but the formula wasn't able to handle the partial hours on the same day. Thanks in a

Dear Sirs,I have the table "General" in which I select the records from another table "People" (in the same base) - via link.Then I've synced (bi-diretionally) the table "General" to a different base ("2024"); the problem is that all the fileds in "2024" are selectionale (not modificable), with the exception of the records selected by the table for which the following message appears:"This field is synced from a source that doesn’t allow it to be edited". And the selection in that record is not modificable from "2024" but only from the original "Globale",I have the Business plan. Thank you to everybody. Best regards A. We have upgraded to Business account from Team. On Team plan I had set up one way synced tables, I have changed the configuration to allow creation of records from the target base. However, I still cant create new records on the synced table. Do I need to sync the table again? I would like to avoid that because of the relations I have to renew in the target base.

Hi everyone,I'm new to Airtable and currently working on a final project for a company as part of my studies. I’m trying to set up a Timeline View for apartment bookings, but I’ve run into a few challenges:I need the timeline to display all the apartments, not just the ones that already have bookings assigned. I could potentially solve this by creating a dummy booking and assigning it to past dates, but I’d prefer a cleaner solution.The list of bookings on the side should be filtered to show only the bookings that haven’t been fully assigned yet (where "Beds Remaining to Assign" is greater than zero).A single booking should be able to be assigned to multiple apartments until the "Beds Remaining to Assign" reaches zero.Has anyone encountered similar challenges or have any suggestions on how to achieve this?Thanks in advance for your help!

OK guys, I feel silly that I can't figure this out, but I can't find this anywhere: I'm looking for a centralized log or history of automation runs.  Essentially the data you'd find if you go to "Automation history" for each individual automation, but instead, a log for the entire workspace.For reference, I'm the admin on a business-plan account.  Thanks in advance for any help!

I've built a powerful "knowledge database" from which I share multiple tables which hold various interlinked records (from one table to another). These tabels are shared across to multiple other bases I run for my businesses, benefiting from a single source of live-linked data.My problem is that the synced tables flatten out any linked records that exist, even if I've also synced the second table which holds the other side of the linked record.We want our users to be able to open and work with these linked records coming from synced tables.Is there any sign of this being improved upon by airtable?Is there any workaround for this?

We have 10,000+ clients that need to sign a legal document. I’m thinking I’ll have them authenticate via an Airtable form and then give them a link to a different site where they can sign the document. Anybody done anything like this? What third-party site did you use for signing the document – DocuSign? Something else? Having them download the Airtable app is simply out of the question. Has to be done entirely in web browser and we’re hoping to make it as easy as possible. Any suggestions gratefully received! William

Hi Aweome Airtable Community. Please could you help me understand what I am doing wrong or enlighten me as to why this is happening?I have attached a sample of the Automated email that is sent to our client with a copy of all their appointment in a grid.The issue is that the appointments do not show up in the correct date order for easy checking, and we have had complaints.Why does this happen?  Is it using a different field so sort the appointments?Thank you in advance for the advice and help     

Hello,So I'm attempting to use this new feature, however I do not know how to undo the process.I have an already synced view going from one base to another and on another table I have a synced view going to that same base which contains a linked field. I decided to setup the Sync Linked Records feature and where it said, "Sync linked tables" I clicked in there and chose that already created synced view. However, I have changed my mind and do not want to Sync that linked field. I removed the synced view from that "Sync linked tables" and removed linked field from the synced view. Unfortunately, on the other base in Update sync configuration it is still showing that field even though it was removed from the synced view. Also It's still acting like a linked field even though I attempted to backtrack and undo the process. Is there anyway to remove the linked field from the sync?Sorry if this is all confusing, I'm just trying to now only learn a new process but also how to undo that process

Hey guys,I have a team that is using the comments in airtable for their communication, where they tag users and user groups. When they tag users the user gets an email notification, but when they are tagged through a user group they do not get an email notification. Is there a way to turn that on?As a side note, I feel that the comments section needs an overhaul in general.Thanks!

I am seeking to copy values from certain fields on one grid / table to another table. The fields names are different for most being copied over to the other table. I currently have automation triggers that send clients an email:1. Once we approve a song and send a welcome email (For clients we're onboarding for the first time)2. Once we approve a song intake (For clients we have been working with and we're accepting new material from)If possible once things are approved from either of these automations I would like to have an automation that sends the approved songs to our "Full Repped Catalog" table. That way we can have record of everything we represent. Is this possible to do?   

Hello, I have several different lead sources filtering onto a base. I have a TEAM of real estate agents that I would like to auto-assign to a lead in a round robin fashion so once all 9 agents receive a lead the first agent will receive a second lead. We have our incoming lead base synced up to receive lead data on via zapier but how would I add on the next agent in line? I believe once this is done I can set up a zapier integration that will notify each agent that a lead has been received… Please let me know if there is a solution or formula I can use!
