What does done look like? (The requirements I collected)My CEO is wanting me to build a base that ties project management and PTO together for better task/project orientation.1. This base should display all projects and tasks as well as the leads and team members associated with them. 2. For PTO, the person's name should be linked with the dates that they will be out of the office.3. The dates for the PTO and Tasks should tie into on single calendar view that will allow my CEO to view everything from one place. 4. Alerts/errors should be displayed when a deadline or start date is set on a day where that lead, or assignee, is taking PTO.5. I'm creating a platform for project and task management. I have multiple users and multiple interfaces.One of those interfaces is an Admin section where projects would be assigned to users via a dropdown menu. I'd like this Admin interface to only be accessible for select users. But it appears that users who aren't given access to this Admin interface cannot be selected in the project assignment dropdown. For now, I've given those users read-only access to this Admin interface, but I'd prefer that this interface be hidden for them entirely. Is this possible, either on our current Team plan or any of the other account levels?

HeyheyI'm need a dynamic filtering option in the interface so I'm trying to use the built-in filter. For some reason the filterable fields that appear are not all the possible fields but just a random selection. I need to filter by status but status field is not an option to filter with the built in filter. See screenshots. Anyone can help ?

Hello, I am new to airtable My issue is I want to calulate the difference between two dates and calculate the seconds also, but i cant even add the seconds to the date how this could be calculated if it’s not even added. Im using the Datediff formula, is there’s any other solution?

Hey all! I have recently started using Airtable and I have been searching for an answer to this question for too long. I am attempting to track volunteer hours. I have a form that people will complete every time they have a “shift”. This form asks people when they came in and when they left. I want to create a formula that finds the difference of the End time and the Start time in order to find the total time of their shift. I have read through several ask the community questions similar to this and tried several formulas; including DATETIME_DIFF. However, nothing seems to be working. Please help! Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Apologies if this is a question already answered. I want to create a IF formula that reads for a single select sell and alters a formula dependant on what the single select field says. For example- where Delivery Month is my single select cell =IF(OR(Delivery Month = "MARCH",Delivery Month = "APRIL",Delivery Month = "MAY"), (Cost*2*4)+8), IF(Delivery Month = "FEB", (Cost*2*6)+8, ))When i place above in, the cell accepts it, but no calculation is done and cell is left blank. I am unsure why as i have checked spelling and spaces in my single select cell Thanks in advance for your help

I have a table Formation 1 in Airtable that contains various information, including a field named Status with values such as "refused", "accepted", and "pack". I also have another table, Formation 2, which contains different information and is synchronized with the first table. I would like to set up an automation such that if an email in Formation 1 has a status of "refused", it should be added to Formation 2 with the status set to "pack solo". How can I achieve this?

In Table 1, I have a list of names. In Table 2, I’d like a single select drop down list that comes from the list of names in Table. This way I can add more names to the column in Table 1 and have them show up as options on the list in Table 2. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? Hi, I have a Base called “BaseName” table with a checkbox field “Show in filtered view?”, and another view called “Only Filtered Items” of that table showing only checkboxed items. There are 74 total items and 44 of them are checked. And the “Only Filtered Items” view in Airtable itself contains only 44 items, as expected. But, when I export that “Only Filtered Items” view, it still contains all the items. The csv exported file is called “BaseName-Only Filtered Items.csv”. Is there some way to make the csv export only contain the 44 filtered items? Another detail, I filled out the checkbox field by copy-pasting from an excel sheet which was formatting as “Y/N”, but the check boxes look like they were inputted just fine. Lastly, I referenced Export selected records to .csv and I think it should be working based on that. So I’m not sure if I’m encountering a b

Our project management company is on the pro-plan and has multiple projects schedules in the one base, across many tables. From there, in each table/project we assign different team members, and have multiple different views for agendas etc. Is there a way to sync/combine the tables into one master to-do list for 1 team member? We are open to using automations, integrations, and even software outside of AT (if it can’t be done within AT). However, we don’t have much tech knowledge (we don’t know how to use automations well). If anyone knows of a way, that would be great. Thank you.

Hello,We've got a destination base (called overview) with dozens of sync source bases and recently enabled two-way sync, mainly so we could assign projects from the overview base. When a user field is updated on the overview and the field is set to notify users when they are added, it seems that the email they receive has a link to the overview record and not the sync source record. Is this a setting that can be adjusted, or do I need to think about a workaround with automations? Most of our team will work in the source bases and not the overview, and there are fields that aren't synced which they use.I've also found that if I turn off the notification setting on the overview (but not the source base) the assigned user doesn't receive any email at all.Thanks

Hi all - I work on a team that manages contracts and all of our data lives in Airtable. We use Favro, however, to track cross-team work to resolve post-contract enrollment issues. I then create a new row in a "Post-Enrolled Issues" table of our base that is linked to the primary contract table so that we can maintain visibility on each contract's issues while also reporting on summaries in an interface view.Double data entry, however, is no bueno. I have played around with and considered transitioning from Favro to a kanban view in Airtable, but without going into detail, have decided not to pursue this further.I'm therefore wondering if anyone here has experience integrating Airtable and Favro? I did ask a colleague check it out and they said, "The biggest problem I’m having with Zapier is that it will only pull one field from Airtable and make a new card with that field as the card name, so it’s not any more efficient than doing it manually. I created a Kanban in an interface. When I click on an entry the detailed view opens. It would be nice if you had the option of leaving a checklist entry with an entry as information for yourself.I once tried a “multiple selection” but you can only predefine the entries.You could try with a text field, but it would be nicer with a checklist where you can create the entries in the detail view.

Maybe there is one that would make my life so much sweeter :)) Let's say we have a product and this product has 2 options: Machine 1 or 2 which machine to choose depends on another single select field in another record, with options 1 or 2. now want to use an automation if 1 is 1 create new record with 1. but somehow string arrays can't be accessed in automations. Hello I was wondering if there is a way to automatically populate dropdown options from data in either the same or a different table. For Example, if I have a sheet that has 5 rows (apple, banana, orange, grapes, and lemons) in one column. Then if I want to automatically add (apple, banana, orange, grapes, and lemons) into the dropdown options in another table? Is this possible? Basically, I will be adding other options in the future and I want them to automatically add to the dropdown options if they are in another table in the same base. This is just an example, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all,I've been running into an issue with an automation that I just can't seem to figure out; basically, I have one table which contains a date column (Reachout Tracking), along with a linked field to another table which contains contacts to whom I'm sending an email (Contact List).I'm trying to set up an automation where when I update the Date Sent column, it automatically updates another date column called Date of Last Reachout in the linked table: I know that something in the automation chain here is messed up, but here's the chain I have so far. It doesn't give me errors when testing but it also doesn't achieve the desired results:

I am new to Airtable and haven’t had luck finding a solution for this use case. Is there a native or third-party function that automatically populates a Single-Select or Multi-Select field with the values from a column as selectable options? A manual copy/paste would not work, as the data would need to be dynamic in cases where new data is added to the source column or if one of the column’s values change.

I researched older posts and found similar topics such as this, but nothing solved that answers this particular question....I want to create a field with a formula that lists any items not selected.  An applicant has to acknowledge acceptance of the "rules", and we need a list of rules they did not accept.Is this an easy do?The sample form is shown below. The ideal answer is that the 3rd item would show up in the new field with the formula.

I've searched and can't seem to find a simple solution to this problem.I have a multi-select column titled "Deliverable Owner" and there can be more than one person assigned as the Deliverable Owner.Based on these deliverable owners, I would like to create a new column that is a formula, which segments deliverables into "Team A", "Team B", "Team C" or "Multiple Teams".The formula ideally would work like this: If Deliverable Owner contains "John" and only "John" then assign "Team A", If Deliverable Owner contains "Ashley" and only "Ashley" then assign "Team B"...etc...and then last if Deliverable Owner contains multiple names, then assign "Multiple Teams".Is there a simple way to achieve this?
