I used AI for one of my columns type long text. Is there a fast way to generate all rows other than clicking generate button manually?I tried to drag the bottom right of one cell down to the last row but nothing happened 

My team has several hundred user profiles with personal information stored in a database with no API. We keep the personal info there, but we have an SFTP to upload CSVs for information regarding statuses and due dates on various per-profile tasks. Those CSVs land in Airtable, where I'm working to create interfaces that are a lot more user friendly than the database. The really unfortunate thing is, I need a way to track any status or date changes we make in Airtable in order for teammates to manually update that data in the database. At any one time, there will be three "truths": what the old upload previously said, what the teammate has changed it to, and what the new upload says. (I should note, the new upload will probably overwrite the old upload? I'm not sure, I haven't set it up yet as I'm designing the base with fake data.)I can't wrap my head around the best way to do this. I could:1. Hello,I am trying to set up an automation that sends an email when a record is updated, but only if it is updated via our Mini Extensions add on.We ask people to submit via an Airtable form with information that is TBC, and when the record is created, we can ask people to update anything via Mini Extensions so that they don't have to log in or have an Airtable account.It would be great to know when someone has updated the record through the Mini Extensions form, as currently I can only set up an automation when a record is changed at all - this would be inappropriate as we are updating the records ourselves all the time.The condition options in automations for 'send an email > when a record is updated > if conditions are met' do not have the condition I am hoping for; any advice appreciated.Cheers

Hello. I am trying to send Gmail attachments I receive automatically to an attachments column in Airtable. I finally realized that Airtable wants the URL in array form, which I can do. However, I have not figured out how to use the array functions toArray, map, or add to append the files instead of overwriting and keeping the last one. I have searched and read numerous posts in both the Make and Airtable communities. This is my most recent attempt at make.com.My ultimate goal is to allow students to email their attachments and have them appear in the portal I built with Softr.I feel like I am so close. i have a button field that run a script, i need to get tha field id(recordId) after press the button in the script, in some examples they recommend to use recordAsync(), but i have to chose the record, and i need to get it after press the button

My workflow is based on priority levels, so I'm trying to create a "Due date" field based on the last time a record was updated. What am I doing wrong is there a better way to create this date? 

I've created on a base a table template with several formulas that I'd like to duplicated for the various projets that I managed but when I try to copy / sync  the table to another base, all my formulas are not transfered and the columns with the Formula Field Type are changed to a Number Field type.Is there an automatic way to copy the formulas or do I have to manually copy/paste them on each new base ? I've left some some images for reference, as you can see the field type is completely different and dont include my formulas.Thanks,

Hi! I have a task table with a Status field and a Completed Date field. I'm trying to create an automation to update the Completed Date field when the Status changes to Done. Wondering if there is a way to add the date that the status was changed to Done in the Completed Date field. For instance, if I change the status to Done today, the date in the Completed Date field should be timestamped with today's date 5/24/23. I added screenshots of my automation flow ... as you'll see I am not sure what to use in the update fields configuration page. I read somewhere that I can use Today () but that doesn't seem right in the automation. What should I do here, and is it even possible? Thanks! 

Hey there,I have a linked records field with 4 lookup fields that look up content from another table. I created an automation to automatically put in the Teacher tame into the linked field so that it finds the matching record and populates the fields. I then get the error: Field "Teacher" cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field. I'm not modifying the teacher field through the automation but a field called PARTNERS Lookup, which in turn should automatically populate the "Teacher" field (and a few others). I'm not sure why this isn't working. Any help would be appreciated!     

I need to ask my developers to turn a table into an XML feed, but I can’t find any web pages that explains how they would start. Does anyone have any suggestions, so that I can submit more than “Turn this Airtable” into an XML feed. They have never worked with Airtable before so want to provide as much detail as possible.

Hi, I need to export data from Airtable into a XML file so I can upload it to a reporting body. Is there a way to do this? If not, can anyone recommend a reputable app to convert the CSV file to XML, its sensitive data so I am not sure about using a free online converter. Thanks

In actual databases, I can explicitly define which table holds the linked column, e.g., Table A has a foreign key field to Table B. So, if I look directly at Table B by itself, I wouldn't know that it has a relationship with Table A. But that's okay, because Table B isn't supposed to hold that information itself.But in Airtable, I noticed that when I put a linked field in Table A to Table B, instantly that field also appears in Table B. While that's very useful and helpful to understand the bigger picture of how things are interconnected, now I no longer know which table was the original one that established that relationship.The purpose that I need to know this is to transform an Airtable base into an SQL database schema, so I need to know the "native" fields of each table. Any tips, or anything I missed?

Hi,I have a table of assets, faults, professionals and suppliers. Every time a fault is over, an email is sent to the customer (automation of email sending). Each property can have several malfunctions, each malfunction can have several professionals who handled the malfunction and several suppliers through whom we bought products to handle the malfunction. In the table of professionals there is the private bank account of each professional and the same also in the table of suppliers. Is there a way that if the fault is over and 2 professionals have repaired it and we have bought materials to treat the fault from 2 suppliers, the customer will be sent an email in the following format: Hi (customer's name), please transfer payment for the fault's termination to (professional 1) to the following bank account details: Bank - xxxxx branch - xxxxx bank account number - xxxxxx In addition, please transfer payment for (professional 2) to the following bank account details: Bank - xx

Hi everyone! I'm working on a project to track and monitor my Airtable automations. I want to create a base that will automatically populate with all my existing automations and update every time an automation runs. This way, I can easily view the run history of all my automations in one place, without having to check each one individually. Is it possible to connect automations to a base and track their run count automatically? My client is a midsize construction subcontractor. I built a CRM that tracks invitations to bid on projects that my client receives from general contractors (GCs). They typically receive multiple requests to bid on a single project because multiple GCs are all bidding to win the same project. All of these GCs would use my client to perform the work, however, only 1 GC can win a particular project.The current CRM requires the sales team to create a new record each time a GC invites my client to bid on a project. The database is set up with a company table and a contact table that are both linked to each invitation to bid. This allows me to create summary statistics like win rate / GC. I have a base with a record for each computer (about 4,000 total) that I am responsible for managing in my large corporation, and each record has fields about the computer including its Serial Number and Hostname, among others.I am provided with a semi-regular report in the form of a CSV from the company that lists every computer that has checked in with their security monitoring program which is required to be installed every computer. The CSV has more than 30,000 records. I want to ensure the computers I am responsible for are compliant and checking in, so I import the CSV into Airtable and then search for my computers by SN and Hostname. I would like to have a notification sent when a field is changed. For example, if a field is changed to Ready for Review, I would like an email to be sent to a certain person. How do I do that or can I do it?

Hi! I'm new to Airtable, and my company just started using Airtable to build our merchandising assortments. We currently buy products from both US and AU with different duties and transit costs associated with each region. Previously when working in google docs we used IF formalas and vlookups to reference those costs depending on the type of buy. Is there a way to add that data set somewhere in Airtable to reference? I've added a screen shot of the data set of the duty and transit costs and our google doc formula for reference as well! Appreciate any help!

I have an integration with zapier pulling pipedrive data into a base in airtable. Everything works as expected just one new field I created yesterday is a single select field in pipedrive with Yes or No as the selections. The test data I sent had the selection "No" but instead pulling over "No" it pulled "203" does anyone know why/how I can fix? The airtable field is set up as a short text field. 

Sorry to ask this, Ive been around and around and around in circles with the help doco, the information in help doesnt match what I see in my paid business description and the AI bot doesnt have a clue . . if I try to log a support ticket the Airtable support bot crashes and says to reload the page (seven times now)I need to give access to a user to an interface, I dont care if they are a paid user or not, I dont mind paying for their access.I only want them to be able to see the interface and the many nested records within it. (it nests to 4 levels). I dont want them to have access to the home screen or the "back to home button" or to be able to stuff around with the data at all, I dont want them playing, going looking or saying "its airtable give me data" just please please please let me give them an interface to see what i want them to see.I am on a paid business account, the help files list all these different levels of access that apparently I c

When a form is submitted, the information does not populate into the base right away as it always has. When I check the base the following day-- usually 24 hours later-- the information is there.We are on the Team (plus) plan, and have been for more than a year. This is the 4th or 5th time this has occurred within the past year. This impacts our workflow. Please help... what does the mean?

Im looking for a tool that will connect with Airtable so that I can use the APi/Whatever to map in the contact sets we have, create cards and relatiponships with those contacts in our tables and show these on a high quality map publically.Im very used to doing this in a platform like Voxel (but that is WP based) and thats my fallback, but that is held back by WP. Im needing something that is super fast and SAAS based, that can publically connect and manage thousands of visits without falling over. Anyone using any good public tools? The mapping in the extensions are not on the same radar as this.

I have enabled viewing record details and customized the 'sub interface' however I now have 15 instances of this and have no idea how they appeared there, they all look identical except that the automation buttons don't work... is there somwhere I can view and delete all of these without having to go via the 'parent' interface?

Seems like I did this in a past life, but I can't find it  now.Just want to import or past selections from excel or CSV as options for single select field.Thanks for all help!
