Can someone explain how to save a table to a CSV file. I have done a search, but everything tells me to use the "save as csv file" in the dropdown for the table. I do not see that option for any of my tables. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Hi there, is it possible to have a column only show certain single select fields dependent on what the previous column select e.g. I want to only show items within a certain category not all the items in all the categorys.Column A = CategoriesColumn B = SubcategoriesI only want to show the subcategories within the category I select.TIACharlie
Hey guys!I have a schedule creating Record Template that only creates half of the schedule I need it to create. Here's a quick breakdown on the set-up:Tables:Job - Contains all job information, linked to Schedule. Where the template is applied. Schedule - Contains schedule phases, no manual dates. Linked to Jobs and Tasks. Tasks - Where the dates are actually entered (but not in the template). Linked to Schedule.Template info:Creates a series of Schedule phases and Tasks. There are 65 records it's supposed to create. It worked about a month ago perfectly fine. The Problem:Currently when I apply the template from an interface it only creates 32 of the records. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the template, everything is entered into it correctly. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Let me know if anyone knows whats going on and if there's a fix. Thanks!

I am currently trying to set up the Google Cloud Vision API via an extension in Airtable. When adding the API key, I am currently getting the following error:'Cloud Vision API is not enabled. Enable the API.'However, I have followed all the steps required for the API to work:1. Created a Google Cloud project 2. Set up billing 3. Enabled the Google Cloud Vision API, added it to my project and generated an API key.I am still getting the error message despite having disabled and enabled again, removed and re-added the extension and deleted and re-created an API key.I would be grateful for any additional suggestions regarding how I can add this extension. Many thanks,Jamie
Hey everyone.I am trying to use the script made by No Code Collab that is made to run as an extension with a button trigger and turn it into an automation that runs a script.I cannot figure how to pass the record to the script. Hello,I have 3 tables which are linked to each other Customers Invoices https://airtable.com/app0jw4sAdW5VRy68/shrRhehmziVBIfiAG Budget vs. Costs https://airtable.com/app0jw4sAdW5VRy68/shrTYer8pWxDAuat6 The Invoices table is my catalyst. I have created an automation to update the linked record field in the Invoices as follows created a new formula field that generates the right text to go into that linked record field. an automation that triggers whenever a specific field in the Invoices table is updated & then copy/pastes the info from the formula field into the linked record fieldI’ve since had my obvious flaw pointed out in that this method isn’t reliable as the text of the field I want to link to might change and therefore the formula field would become invalid and the automation would breaking down. The suggested solution was to use Record ID instead as it's much more reliable than text. I don’t know how to do this and would we
Hello,I am trying to develop a maintenance tracking solution that deals with both dates and hours or miles due. I am attempting to configure airtable automations to send notifications as upcoming inspections become near. I have figured out how to run a notification automation quite easily for those inspections required by a certain date. However I am still trying to determine how to configure the same type of automation with a trigger when the miles or hours reach a certain time. For example, if the next inspection is due at 1,234 miles, I want the automation to trigger when the current vehicle miles are within 5 miles of that number, or anytime that the current miles have exceeded the next due mileage.Thank you for your help.
HelloI am new to Airtable and I am trying to create dynamic calculations in a record in my calculations table that is updated every time when a new record is created through a form for another table called Non-Title I School Tours - Virtual. I used Rollup in the calculations table to sum multiple records in a field in the Non-Title I School Tours - Virtual table. The problem I am running into is that it is not summing up multiple records it is only showing the first record and none of the records after it. Any feedback would be helpful.
I am struggling with the proper set up for my base.I am a manager of an HOA, and we are in the process of tracking all construction projects in Airtable. Applications are submitted via form and records are created automatically upon submission.Where I'm stuck is how to track the progress of these projects. Each have a Phase, and each phase has critical tasks that need to be completed before we can approve advancing to the next phase. Ideally, once all tasks are completed for a phase, the record would be updated with the next phase (with corresponding subtasks), and so on until project completion. A check list with conditions, so to speak.I have tried various templates, but none behave in a way where I can monitor and update records according to project completeness. Appreciate any insight on how to best tackle this.
Hey everyone,I need to find a way to list all the values from one column if those values meet certain conditions. Right now, I'm struggling to even find a way to summarise all entries from one column. The values in the column are email addresses, and the conditions are chosen by a single-select field.Just to clarify: I don't want to have one value/email address per line/record; I want to have all email addresses listed if they meet certain conditions.Example: I have a table with multiple records where I have listed all my customers. One of the columns in this table is an email address field with the customers' email addresses. There is another column—a single-select field—where you can select the status of that customer, for example, Status 1, 2, or 3. Now, I would like to have all email addresses from that table summarised in one field and separated with a comma, if the selected customer status is 1 or 2.I'm grateful for any hints I can get. ❤️
We use our air table to create a database of questions that we use to answer client DDQ's or potential client RFP's. When I need to find a specific questions and answer I'm having troubling finding it. What is the easiest way to do a search like this?
I have a table called "Main" with a user field named "Employee," which needs to stay editable and as a user-style field. I want to add another column in the same table, "Employees Team Members," which displays all users in the same team as the employee. This new field should be non-editable, similar to a lookup, but must remain in the user-style format. My goal is to have both the "Employee" and "Employees Team Members" columns as user-style fields so they can be used with the "current user" filter in Airtable's interface Kanban view. Here’s the setup:A form is submitted where users select "Employee" and "Team."I already have a "Team Members" field using a lookup from a linked "Teams" table that shows all team members, but the "Employee" might not always be part of this Team column.I'm open to creating an additional table to manage the team data but need guidance on how to maintain both fields as user-style columns to be compatible with the "current user" filter feature in the interface.
Hi, I have a question regarding Airtable sub-categories.I have a Airtable full of products the rows are structured like this :"productName", "price", "category", "productURL", "imageURL", "description"What I would like is to have another table inside of the workspace for the same product but different colors, or products that are slightly different Context: this table is linked to a Make.com scenario that creates dynamic carousels inside of voiceflow. If anyone could help me make a sub-category table that is linked to the main one I would highly appreciate it.
Hi Airtable Community, I have the following problem. I have a table with tasks and a table with projects. If a task is delayed by x days, I want to display a timing risk in the project. The tasks are linked to the project. However, the tasks are repeated for each project. Therefore, they always have the same names and are not unique. If a task is now delayed, the automation cannot know which project the task belongs to. Do I really have to assign each task a unique name or can I use the record ID somehow?Thank you and bestMirko
I am creating template tasks when a project stage is updated. This part of teh Automation is working perfectly However, I want to bring across the team member I have assigned the task to in "Template task" to in the new " Project Tasks"I seem to be unable to get a dynamic field type for Team member. ( I have tried multiple field types) Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Is there a way to check a date constantly on airtable and if the date has passed label that record as missed?

Hello to all of you!I am new here.I wanted to ask you the following question:I have to synchronize my 2 databases, I have all the automations created, when a record is created, when a record is updated, but I need to synchronize also the deletion of items.Checking the documentation I have seen the following:https://airtable.com/developers/scripting/api/table#delete-record-asyncI have tested the script, but I need to add trigger a webhook with the record ID so I can deal with Integromat and delete the record from the first DDBB.Can anyone help me?Thanks!
I have a table of information that is tracking music in a film. I have the songs and their timecode of where they appear in the film. the nature of the list is that i have a record for every time there is an edit however several records compile the total use of the song. Here is my issue. When i look at all the records in grid view and sort by timecode in they sort in order and everything looks great. Then when i then group them by song title things go hairy. It puts the groups of songs out of order. so a song that starts in the film at 1 min 15 sec and goes to 3 min 15 sec is sorting after a song that is in the film at 15 min 3 sec. How can i get them to go in the proper order once grouped?
I am working on my first new version Record Review interface. I have TONS of detailed Record Review interfaces in the older now-legacy version.... ugh. The old version let me pick a few colors for group background. But the new one only has "show background color" for groups. Which for me is a very light gray and does not really help distinguish a grouping. These are complex views so I really need the colors... Any idea what controls the 'background color' that the new interface will show? It seems like that should be able to be picked somewhere, but I cannot fine. And would love to see more than one option eventually! Thanks for the help.
Hi all, I am wanting to understand if the following scenario is currently achievable and if so, what “add ons” would be required: Ideally I would like to be able to share a “filtered” view with a clients that only shows information relevant to them for a updating various aspects of a project, while the remaining fields which are for internal purposes are hidden. Obviously this can be done by setting up a view and hiding the relevant fields. Only issue here is that when sharing this view a guest can view it and not make any changes (I am amazed that this feature is still yet to be implemented having seen discussions on this topic go back quite a long way). So, the only option is to send this information to Google Sheets (I am aware of various tools such as Airtable Importer, Coupler, Integromat etc that can do this one way). Now that the info is in Google Sheets, it can be shared with a client (either the full set of data and hide various columns and restrict editing access or importing
Hi all, is it just me or are the bases slowing down?I'm waiting 30 seconds for a new table creation, and 3 seconds to change a field.
Hello everyone,I'm looking for some advice/best practices for my situation. My company has a weekly report that they dump into an excel but it's just screaming to be formatted as a database. I've started importing the data but there are some glaring issues once it's within Airtable.Currently there is a {Name Field} formatted as "LastName, FirstName", but this field can vary as it relies on human input. I'm struggling with getting these individuals into their own table while also having Airtable recognize these names during the next import without creating fuzzy duplicates. One saving grace is that each name has a unique ID number, and using this as the primary field makes this step very easy, but when we want to link that record in another table, we're unable to search by name and there are over 100 ID numbers to look through. Is there any elegant solution to normalizing data such as this? If this was a one off import it would be a non issue, but this data will have to be imported each we
Dear Airtable lovers, could you suggest me how to create a simple Alfred App search workflow for simple searching of defined base? More about Alfred workflows: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/. Thanks!
