Hey Hey, Would anyone happen to know if it's possible to embed a MathJax rendering into an airtable interface? The idea is that the rendered displays the text of math expressions or equations when that text is wrapped in $$ $$.
Hello,I would like to know if there is a way to automatically use the same colors for single select and multi select options for cohesion and ease of viewing. For example:1. If I have a survey, all Yes/No questions will automatically make 'Yes' chips green and 'No' chips red.2. If I have several multi-select questions with answer options 'Strongly agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly disagree' I can Strongly agree - color green, Agree - pale green, Disagree - orange, Strongly disagree - Red Thanks!
Here the working script extension: // Create script output descriptionoutput.markdown( "# Stores with 2+ WO in 30 days" ); // Set Tableconst woTable1 = base.getTable( "BR_Details" ) // Set Viewconst woView1 = woTable1.getView( 'Stores with 2+ WO in 30 days' ) // Get records from viewconst woRecords1 = await woView1.selectRecordsAsync().then(result => result.records ) console.log( woRecords1 ) // Set new report name and descriptionconst reportName1 = 'Stores with 2+ WO in 30 days v01' const reportDescription1 = 'Locations with 2 or more Work Orders in the last 30 days v01' // create new report including linking of tasksconst reportsTable1 = base.getTable( "Reports" ) const reportRecord1 = await reportsTable1.createRecordAsync( {"Name" : reportName1 , "Description" : reportDescription1 , "Linked BR_Details" : woRecords1 } )if( reportRecord1 ) // Update{const res1 = await remoteFetchAsync( 'https://api.docsautomator.co/cr
Hi, What I would like to do is simple : When I update a record in table "Participations", I want to check if this record is the earliest (in term of date) record linked to a specific company. If it is, in single select field "Participation active?" select automatically value "active".How would you do that? I have trouble adding the condition of selecting the record with the earliest date among records linked to the same company. Thank you, Have a nice day, Arthur
I have to create a report over a period of time where i have an initial set and every month a new file will be shared where soem rows would be dleetd and some new will be added. How can i create a report of how many rows got added, which got deleted and also update the base file to mark the rows deleted
Hi allI am setting up my product SKUs and need some help to ensure that external users will find matches when searching on front end.I have the following fields; Product SKU IDWidthThicknessGradeConditionTreatmentProfileLength Product Description (all these together)Product Category (for filtering purposes when buyer searching for products) I want all these to be filters so that buyers can search to find results representative of the fields.I want results to appear if I'm searching under Product Description for products in different formats (e.g. searching by Grade before Width) or including/excluding spaces (e.g. 50x25 vs 50 x 25). -Please advise how I can make this happen and if needs to be seperate tables for each filter (e.g. one table for width, one for thickness etc) or if I should have all these filters in one table with multiple fields. -Also do you know if Softr is any better for Search Functionality than Airtable as I cant get matches in Airtable unle
I am currently in the process of using Airtable to build a new shipping schedule. I have grid view set up so it is grouped by delivery date because it is very important for management to be able to quickly see how many pools are scheduled to ship out on any given day. The problem is that when an order is canceled, it still appears in the count. Is there any way to exclude certain records from being included in that count? Thank you.
Thanks in advance everyone - Tried searching but couldn't find anything recent/relevant Currently we are using email automations to conditionally send first articles to our customers to approve, which works - but I'd like a more elegant solution. In an ideal situation, once a record matches certain conditions, it sends a form (interface or other) pulling the image from our base, and the customer can use a check box / comment section to send approval back to us - and updates our records with the checkbox selected and or comments sent. Thanks again - If I missed anything in my search, another advanced thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
Hi all,The Utilization function is pretty great for visualising workloads and capacity, but when adding in the 'Time Off' part of the tool, I'm struggling to get exactly what I'd like.My Capacity planner is a timeline view of tasks grouped by team with all team members' capacity rolled up to the team level. This is great as I can see an entire Team's capacity when adding in new jobs. However when I assign time off into the 'Account for time off' section it just blocks out the entire team as PTO for those dates on the planner. I don't think it can just subtract member X's time off from the total team capacity. Does the Account for time off functionality only really work when you are viewing capacity at the Team member level?Any ideas much appreciated!
I saw this video on using air table for schools, and tried to copy the design she talked through at the end - but since it was all in groups and I am pretty new to air table, I couldn't get the automations to work, or see how the grade and assignment tables were actually set up.Does anyone have a base design for recording assignments and grades for students - something where once the assignment is created student record lines are automatically created for the students in that assignment's class in the grades table for scoring data to just be added? This is the podcast I watched and really failed to imitate - https://www.youtube.com/live/Z3vdf9INifY from 46 minutes onwards.
I have the following TS code (using the Airtable REST API) export const updateInstanceQRCode = (instanceId: string, qrCodeUrl: string) => { return base('Instance').update([ { "id": instanceId, "fields": { "QR Code": [{ "url": qrCodeUrl }] }, }, ]); } which works great when I am testing in development, but the moment I try to build the project, I get the following error: > tsc -b && vite build src/externalAPI/AirtableClient.tsx:127:21 - error TS2739: Type '{ url: string; }' is missing the following properties from type 'Attachment': id, filename, size, type 127 "QR Code": [{ ~ 128 "url": qrCodeUrl ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 129 }] ~~~~~~~~~ Found 1 error. In my package.json, I'm using the following version of the official airtable module: "dependencies": { "airtable": "^0.12.2", This definitely seems broken, especially c
Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble with api calls on interfaces?Get / Delete / Add workspace or base collaborators work perfectly fine. But seems like anything to do with interfaces in not found. The below specifically.Even putting the URL directly in my browser gives 404, instead of a permission error. Anyone else? 🤔 🤔Get interfacegethttps://api.airtable.com/v0/meta/bases/{baseId}/interfaces/{pageBundleId} Delete interface collaboratordeletehttps://api.airtable.com/v0/meta/bases/{baseId}/interfaces/{pageBundleId}/collaborators/{userOrGroupId}Add interface collaboratorposthttps://api.airtable.com/v0/meta/bases/{baseId}/interfaces/{pageBundleId}/collaborators
Hi, I am very new to AirTable but have a lot of relational DB experience years ago, using first dBase, then MS Access. I am working on a simple project for my golf club that calls out for a RDB solution. I have started learning AT, but am stuck at a very basic level. Can anyone please advise? I have read countless posts and watched videos and I somehow feel I am missing something very basic. Here is the problem simplified down to the most basic level. I have two tables, Members and Rounds Played. The fields in Members are their unique Member ID first, then lots of Member details, like name, address, phones, etc. Rounds played has three fields. The first is the Member ID, then the month, and finally the # of rounds played that month. From my background this is a pretty easy 1 to many relationship, the tables linked by the Member ID. In my old world, Member ID would be the primary key for the Members Table, but I have learn
I have an automation that runs based on the trigger, when a record is created. This automation runs perfectly in all tests. However, when I run a process that creates 5-10 records within 2 minutes, the automation does not run for all records. This clearly tells me that the Airtable infrastructure cannot handle even the smallest volume. This is deeply concerning. I would not expect an automation to run into volume issues until the volume was over 1000 a minute.Has anyone else seen this similar poor performance from Airtable interfaces?
Hello there, I'm trying to write data from one base to another through Airtable's API. My JSON is something like this: let body = { "fields":{ "prod_serv_cia_id": inputConfig.cia_id[0], "NroParte": inputConfig.codigo[0], "DescripCorta": inputConfig.descrip[0], "DescripLarga": inputConfig.descrip[0], "Marca": inputConfig.marca[0], "Cantidad": inputConfig.disp[0], "Costo": inputConfig.costo[0], "AlmacenesScript": inputConfig.cia[0], "StatusProducto":[ { "id": "selq********yr", "name": "1. Producto seleccionado" } ], "typecast": true }, } And the response I'm getting from the Airtable's API is: {error: Object} error: Object type: "INVALID_VALUE_FOR_COLUMN" message: "Cannot parse value for field StatusProducto" The "StatusProducto" field is: {id: "fld*******j9", name: "StatusProducto", description: "", type: "singleSelect", opt
Hi all,I have an Airtable built that collects info for upcoming events. I've created a filtered view, that only includes Confirmed events. I want to add the ability for staff to sign-up to work at these events, so I've created a form view. I want the first question of the form to be a single select, where the staff person selects which one of these events they want to work. Is this possible? So for example, I'd like "Event 1", "Event 2", etc. to be the options staff select in the form. Then in the grid view, we'll have a new column for staff that have signed up to work each event. Hopefully that makes sense.
I am trying to generate a formula where:1. If date in field x is greater than 1953, then 1 is put in field zOR2. If checkbox is checked in field y, then 1 is put in field zI came up with this formulaIF(OR({NO DIGITAL} = 0), ({CODE-DATE} > 1953), "1")However, this is producing a statement that reads 'true' if {CODE-DATE} > 1953, and '1' if {NO DIGITAL} = 0 (that is to say, box in {NO DIGITAL} is checked)Any idea why this is happening or how to get the results I want?
Wondering if anyone has managed to sync MySQL data into a Airtable base? What we are basically trying to do is sync a SQL query data to Airtable - this is currently done manually multiple times a day and imported to Airtable base. Has anyone done anything like this or are there any 3rd party solutions out there? Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:
Hello! I have a formula to count how many workdays are left between a data and “today” and when the reference data is “after today”, the output returns a negative number (as it should). I am looking for a way to get my formula to only return “0” when that situation occurs. I haven’t figured out the nested if statement logic to make it work. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thank you!
Hi! I am trying to summarize a range of fields from one record. I know that there is a formula Sum({Column 1}+{Column 2}+{Column 3}…). However, I am looking for a formula to choose all the columns between Column A → Column X. I will have a database with many columns and I need to summarize multiple records quickly. Is there any formula that can help? Or what are the possible solutions for this? This is an example ! Thanks for any help!
Hi there,My company has several different interfaces that have more or less the same table in them, just filtered by a different project name. In the past, users (editors on the interface but no database access) have been able to duplicate these records without problem. It seems like there has been a change with how Airtable now handles filters, access, and record duplication. Now, when the user duplicates the record, they get a permission error that tells them that they don't have access to that record. If a user with database permissions (e.g., db creator) duplicates it, there is no problem. It's almost like the filter is being applied before the duplication is complete.A couple other observations: this only happens if the field used for filtering is not included in the table itself. Again, historically this has not been an issue, and it has duplicated without problems. If I add the field not to the table but just as a grouping value, this also mitigates the problem.Has anyone else en
I have a field generating an email for each person on a list: CONCATENATE( {First Name},".",{Last Name},"@Gmail.Com") This formula creates a First.Last@Gmail.com list in my "Resource email:" field. The issue is, when I create an automation to send an email to the "Resource email:" field, it throws an error, showing that the email it read for that field was just ".@gmail.com". It's not detecting the first or last within the automation. The automation is set up as "when a record is created" currently as well. Any help on getting the email field to read correctly?
This would be really useful for transparency when dealing with large lists / dashboardsSimply pop up a list of what records are being counted.
Hi! I'm not sure which location to post this in but hopefully someone can help out. I have an interface form which will be collecting question answers prior to a client call. During the call we then want to be able to access and comment on each answer individually as we get clarification from the client. We can obviously have a "notes" column but that would be for the whole record, whereas we need a notes section for each answer (so for each column in the table basically, and it would be incredibly clunky if there was one notes column added after each question column). We then want another 1 or 2 interfaces or tables (or whatever) which again pull in question answers plus our clarifying notes to put next to some other info on post-call actions.I'm new to interfaces for anything other than form creation, so I tried creating one from scratch which had a record selector at the top then all the answers down the left hand side, then I added a "text" element next to each - not realising that
I'm developing an api in which Airtable will request information, I was configuring cors for the api to accept requests from airtable, but I don't know which domain they use
