I'm generating Google docs using the automation. In the text of the doc, I'm inserting data from a "link" field. The link field text is getting inserted, but just as text, not as a live link. Any tips on how to make them insert as live links?See the attached pic - the red circled "link" appears as text, not a live link. Below it, the help email address appears as a live link because it's in the text of the email, whereas the Zoom link is coming from a database field. (We have 40 classes, they each have their own Zoom link.) Thank you!

I am looking for a script to assign to a button field.When a user clicks the button I would like for their username to be filled in the "Assigned To:" field. Is something like this possible?

I have a simple task tracker with a single table containing a list of tasks.  I have a self-linking field to allow for a single level of subtasks.  I primarily use Interface lists to view tasks.  However, I also assign tasks to be completed by varying people.  So when I filter to a list of my assigned tasks, the nesting feature breaks.  Airtable will only show me tasks if they are assigned to me.  So if I am assigned to the parent task, I don't see the child tasks.  And vice versa.I thought it could be helpful to append an icon to the front of subtask names to cue me that something else is depending on me completing that task (haha) but can't figure out how to write a formula for that!In the data views, the parent task has the child tasks linked in the subtasks field.  So the child tasks have empty subtask fields.  Therefore, I have nothing to search for.Anyone have thoughts or worked through something similar? 

Hello!I am hoping someone might be able to help. I have a PROJECTS table and a STAFF table, and a link between them to see all the projects that are assigned to each staff member. Once a week, projects that are completed are archived and removed from our list. However, the archived records in my linked record field on my STAFF table are still showing up. I tried to fix this by adding a Conditional Rollup Field to remove archived projects, and then linking back those Projects in a separate linked record field, but two things are happening.1. The automation linking the Rollup Field to the Linked Project Field is giving me an "insufficient permissions" error message. Trigger is when the Rollup Field is updated. I have full permissions as the creator, both tables are in the same base, and both fields are "editors and up". Also, i am able to manually copy/paste. So it should work, no?2. When I get this automation linking correctly, will it even successfully UN-link t

I have a automation that I have set to email people their response to a form I have and the date and time that gets sent out through the automation is the wrong time zone, the time zone on the form itself is correct so I'm not sure why the automation is changing the time zone? when its pulling the information from the form

Hi there ! 👋First of all english is not my mother langage, sorry if my english is not perfect.I'm working on a customer networking project.We have a multitude of tables, but there's no specific naming convention. they're table used by sales people, so not necessarily a tech culture. &#x1f605For example, in one table to determine which sales rep is the owner of a customer, the name is "owner", in another it's "Account Manager".To create a dashboard grouping together a multitude of information, I've decided to create join tables, as the information I group together will inevitably be useful elsewhere.Is it possible to add the "owner" and "Account Manager" information in the same column to this join table?In SQL, it's possible to do this with "virtual columns", but I haven't found anything about this on Airtable.If this doesn't work with Airtable, do any of you have any feedback on data aggregation using Airtable -> Zap

We currently pay about $3-4k/year for a "training platform" which as far as I can tell, is just a file storage front end that you can upload PDFs of certificates to and then launch a couple videos or slide decks from which are followed by short quizzes. When you complete the quiz, the training for those embedded vids/slides is recorded as complete.I have not come up with an approach yet, but is there any decent way to replicate this functionality in airtable? I have an entire training tracking base setup that is working great as a prototype, but the feature that would be great to figure out would be replacing this "built in" online training and tracking function from the other platform (literally the only thing we have going for it, I have no idea why someone selected this product or people got excited about it).Essentially, I have a log of everyone's various trainings. Hi everyone ! 👋I'm setting up a database with a lot of elements coming from different tables.It's a database on which sales people have to make modifications, but I'd like them not to have access to this database in Edit mode.To remedy this, I'd like to create a form with an active search.e.g.: They enter a customer's name, and all the information we've already pre-filled in the fields, to avoid duplicating questions.Have you already implemented this? I have an org chart that's looking good except for one thing: the lines that connect the name cells are in a faint blue that is all but illegible. The help bot gave me irrelevant advice, so I'm trying here. How can I configure the color of those lines? It's unusable like this.

Hello smart friends 🙂I've got a base I'm building to track companies within a community with their contact info and other demographic data listed.I'm pulling data from two different sources into the base (displayed as one primary table and 14 other segmented sublist tables) and need to incorporate the data in the following way:- The primary / working list that has the entire list of companies in it needs to have the ability to be segmented by "affinity" tags- The data to determine those tags is in each of the segmented lists, each of which has a handful of entries from the primary list but sorted by a particular affinity, i.e. "black-owned" or "women-owned"- And since some companies will have multiple affinities, i.e. being both "black-owned" and "women-owned", the tag column needs to be able to account for multiple entries coming potentially from each of the indiviual segmented sublists. I can see a way to link a reco

Hi All! I am hoping this is an easy problem to solve 🙂I thought this would be really simple, but I'm struggling.I have a project "Start Date" field. Every time one of my users updates that "Start Date" I would like AT to automatically retain the last start date before that change in a "Last Start Date" field.So if "Start Date" was 01/05/2024 and someone changed it to 12/05/2024, then "Start Date" would read 12/05/2024 and "Last Start Date" would read 01/05/2024. Each field would then update every time the "Start Date" field is consequently updated, which can happen numerous times.Any help / advice would be very much appreciated. I am hoping that this can be done with AT as opposed to using any external connector.......

I have a grid view with a field that shows volunteers that have volunteered along with the date they volunteeredI want to figure out how many volunteers volunteered each month - how do I find how many unique volunteer names appear in this list, and if I filter for the specific month, will it still work?Thank you! 

Can someone tell me if there is a way to select several tables at once to move them? For example, when creating new tables, they are automatically placed at the very end of all existing tables. We have a lot of tables in our base, and I often have to create more, usually many at a time.  If I need them to be located at the beginning, or at the top (of the table list), it can take time I don't have time to move them one by one. It seems like it would be a pretty basic function that you would be able to select more than one table at a time in the table list and drag them up to the top of the table list, or select more than one table's tab and move them over all at one time. I've done searches, but cannot find an answer. What am I missing? Thanks.

Hello!I am wondering if this might be just an Airtable "bug" or if anyone else experiences this issue.I have a notification system set up through automations. On my data table, I have a formula that will make a list of everyone who needs to be slacked/emailed from the team. Those names are then updated into a User field via an automation. This portion all works perfectly. The problem happens sporadically, some team members will receive the notifications just fine, but others on the list won't receive anything at times. The Automation has no failures and even lists the correct users as recipients. I've had everyone check their slack accounts to make sure Airtable is integrated correctly, and it definitely is because they receive other notifications just fine. Anyone out there with the same mysterious issue?

Hello Airtable CommunityI have a base with several tables (one for each department) to plan their content. So print, social media organic, PR etc.Each team has 1-3 interfaces. Now I want to synchronize the most important information from all these tables into one table in the same base. I want to have a comprehensive content calendar to see at a quick glance who is working on what. Unfortunately, synchronization only works over different bases. But then I can't display everything in one interface and the employees would always have to switch bases.Does anyone have an idea for this?Best regardsMirko

When I try to add a record in the linked record field I get an error message "You are not permitted to perform this operation". It does not happen in all ‘link a record’ field but in some, randomly. The issue is occurring on my iPad and iPhone apps. It seems working fine on Safari browser on my Mac. I am the owner of the base. It started happening about 1-2 weeks ago.Any suggestions? Thank you!

It’s slightly similar question to the previous poster actually. I have a field which has numbers in it. If I do this (grouped by field), it shows a very neat view which also contains SUM of each group. The question is. How do I get this sum to my other table? In my screenshot, that will be how do I create a record on other table which has my [400x600] text and ‘30’ integer in it? Is there a very easy solution that I miss? Thanks

We’re using Airtable as a PIM for clothing and we sometimes do modifications that creates a new style code. A lot of the information is the same (as it’s just a modification), but I don’t want to copy over any linked fields or certain notes on an item. I was wondering if it was possible to create a script that would let you select an item you want to modify and create a new item with select information from the base item. The links are in the same table FYI.

Hello, wondering if someone could help me correct the formula in the photo.  I am hoping for this to happen:If OLD JOB# is blank, display current 2 digit year (CREATED DATE) & "-" & 4000 + ID#. If OLD JOB# is NOT blank, display OLD JOB#For example, looking at the last 2 rows at the bottom, 42 is correct, but 43 should display "24-4183"

I am trying to set up a form that will collect requests for a dozen kinds of products from users (eg, shirts, hats, mugs...) I have a limited amount of each product available.Is there a way to omit certain questions if the limit for that product has been reached? The number is based on all submissions -- not just each individual form submission. I thought about adding a condition for each question related to the sum but I couldn't seem to make that work. Is something like this possible? Thanks!
