I am having trouble with my vacation day calculation when an employee is only taking one day off. I have a formula to count the days requested and they always show up as negative which is what I want to subtract from their approved days, but when they request 1 day is comes up as a +1 and throws the calculation off. Could someone help me with this? I know it has to be a simple fix. Thanks!  This is the formula I am using: WORKDAY_DIFF({End date (vacation)}, {Start date (vacation)})

When I select a lookup field in Airtable, it retrieves all the values within it, but I want to make a selection from within this lookup field, is this possible?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to create a formula field to calculate last week.I have a view that shows me the events that refer to last week, I added a formula field to calculate all the events that have the "Date" field dated to last week, but it doesn't work in any way, because it continues to insert the camps of the current week. Can someone help me?

I have a primary field which is an autonumber and I want to change it to a formula (pad the number with zeros, concatenate with another field etc.). My plan is to keep the autonumber, create a formula field, and then change the primary field to be the formula field.Is there any risk with that? can such action break any dependencies? scripts?

Hi! Is it possible to create an automation that will email someone the results from one column (not the full record) of a grid?We are doing an exercise where staff fill out an airtable form saying what they value about other people on the team (long text responses).  So each record has the feedback about every staff member from each person that fills out the form.  Is it possible to have an automated email go out to individual staff members with just the responses from their column?Hopefully this makes sense - thank you!

Hi everyone, I know I certainly need automation. But I am not sure what I am going to do.Description of the problem:I created a delivery driver pickup form (in Table 1) for volunteers to submit their pickup schedules for one or more schools. Right now, I will need 3 information (name of the pickup person, pickup date, and pickup time) submitted in this form to be automatically updated in an existing classroom table (table 2).I have tried different ways. However, it seems like I am having difficulty for the information in table 1 to be correctly matched with the information in Table 2. I think the problem is I don't know which Record ID I should pick and the system keeps saying there is an error when I was setting my automation.My goal is that I am hoping if a volunteer submits that they will pick up materials for school A, the 3 required information I need will automatically update in the same school in table 2.Thanks so much, any feedback is great

I have a complex formula I am trying to write, and unfortunately it says there is an error in my code, but I can't seem to work out what! I am trying to write a custom field that says LIVE, FUTURE or COMPLETED depending on the number of days away an event is, and in what region. I have a javascript code that basically displays a recording menu that allows you to record your voice, and then I added that on stop you can click to send the file to airtable. But I keep getting 422 error. I read somewhere that when sending attachment it need to be on publicly available url. The Google Vision API extension offered by Airtable works well enough if one wants to retrieve labels, logos and texts from an image. However, the Google API offers other capabilities, such as tagging offensive images and, what interests me most, calculating the dominant colours of an image or suggesting cropping possibilities. The Airtable extension doesn't seem to give access to any of this.Is there something out there already that might allow me to retrieve those extra features and insert them into a field in my database ?Thanks.  

Hey All,I'm looking for a way to add files that are not hosted on a public site. The server hosting the files allows for basic auth so I should be able to pass credentials. I'm wondering if it's possible to use `fetch` in an extension to get the file and then add the file to an attachment field. Definitely open to better ideas. Cheers,Collin

I am receiving this notice when attempting to upgrade: "We were unable to upgrade you at this time. Please refresh the page and try again. If you continue experiencing problems, please contact us."I was charged and my upgrade has not been reflected. I contacted customer service but the 1-2 TAT turned in 6 days -- no response. Any suggestions?I would think a financial ticket would be considered important. 

I'm using the highly useful Prefilled Forms extension by Kuovonne and it works as intended. However, there are some fields in my source table that apparently aren't qualified to be prefilled on the form and I can't figure out the principle. (The form itself is in the Assets Updates table.)The Assets table contains the prefill form URL in a field called Update Asset. It works fine but does not include a field called Asset Type that I want prefilled on the form. This field is not included in the list of possible fields to use when filling out the wizard for Prefilled Forms.Asset Type is a linked field to a third table called Types. In this screenshot you can see that I've reduntantly added two additional fields that contain the value from Asset Type, thinking there was something about Linked records that was a problem:But I can't use any of these fields

I built some scripts a while back using the airtable python API wrapper.  I was able to create new records in a table with linked fields using only the string value of the linked record. This was very helpful since I could upload records to 'Orders,' for example, and Airtable would accept a string, for example a Product SKU, to designate which Product to link to.Since updating to the more recent pyairtable wrapper, I'm not able to do this anymore.  I need to know the record ID of any record I want to include in a linked field.  This means extra steps.  Is there a way to use strings instead of 'array of record ids' as the value for linked fields?

If I have 5 blank rows, then values 5, 10, 15, and I sort by that column, those blank rows show at the top and I would like them to show at the bottom but the 5, 10 and 15 still sorted showing at the top. Is this possible?

Hello allI am trying to copy/paste a line from an HTML table into airtable. The table has several columns which are delimited by tabs (unicode 0009).Nothing unusual so far...I created a form so I could paste in the line into that maps onto a single field. When you do this it retains the tabs in the string...BUT...I am struggling to find a way of sanitising this data and splitting out the columns.Yes, you can paste directly into the table field and split it out that way. I don't want this, I want to be able to paste the string/line directly into a form.Using "\t" in formulas doesn't work.With Windows 11 and pasting from Chrome, CTRL+SHIFT+V does not strip out any tabs (it's for formatting only)So how else can I strip out these pesky tabs?

Good morning,Following research to develop an existing project, I decided to try to stay on Airtable for my backend and I must therefore take into account the new standards that you will apply by February 2024. Indeed, I 'uses the plugin on my gatsby site, "gatsby-plugin-airtable", with a version of Gatsby V4.25.7 and this will be a first for me to make use of Token or OAuth system. Unfortunately, I have "little" information regarding the integration of this possible data via this plugin. For now, my API keys are stored in an .env file and imported via the dotenv package into my gatsby-config.js.So I have 2 main questions:1 should I favor the Personal access tokens API or OAuth integration?2 If using the Personal access tokens API is preferable, or easier to set up, should I simply change my API key to the value of the Token

Hi everyone,It appears that I cannot use the "Find records" action with a condition on a date field "is within" "this calendar month".It is fine if I choose any other "is within", such as "the past month". But it won't work if i choose "this calendar week", "this calendar month" or "this calendar year".The error is not clear, it simply states "A condition is incomplete or invalid".What am I missing? 🤪See attached screenshots:

Can anyone suggest a form builder/no-code solution that integrates with Airtable and supports the following features: Dynamic, dependent dropdown lists based on Airtable linked records; Dynamic transactions in stripe or some other payment integration using user input form field values a well as values pulled from Airtable?; and lastly Pre-filling of a filter field (i.e. the control field needed for point 1.) The closest I’ve gotten so far is MiniExtensions.com - an excellent form builder that integrates directly with Airtable to allow points 1 and 2, but not 3. Hello. I have a form in one table called "Creative Requests" that has a column to assign it to a project once the form is submitted. In a separate table called tasks, I have a list of what everyone is responsible for. The tasks in the form responses aren't pulling into the tasks even when they're under a project. I am thinking it's because the fields aren't the same, but is there any workaround for this or any suggestions of how to get these tasks all in one location without moving the forms to the same table as tasks? 

I'm trying to adjust the column width in an digest email but the truncate fields doesn't change the layout and I'd like the columns to be spread out more. Is there any way to set this? Even adjusting the view I'm pulling from doesn't change anything.

I don't know how to hyperlink it to that text. Thank you!--I would also like to know if there is a possibility to have a button on each record when clicked the email for that record is sent to the person on the record. I have an html email that variables from that record will be used in that email. Right now, I am doing the sendgrid extension to send emails to all records in a view with a filter. Thank you!
