Hey all, I am trying to create a solution to reduce the image sizes in one of our bases, that is wildly over limits due to being populated with MASSIVE cell phone photos uploaded via a form.Currently I have setup an automation to trigger a miniextensions webhook that compresses the image and places the resulting smaller file into a new field.What I would like to do now is create an automation to run at a specific time to delete the contents of the original field automatically.The update record function does not support deleting field data (why?).Can someone assist? Hi I am an Airtable user on a Team plan ($24 a month). I want to invite a collaborator to see their own tasks and update their status eg. ‘to do’ to ‘ done’ and add a comment. I am going to have lots of task owners – but to invite them all is going to cost $24 each a month for essentially a very simple limited use of Airtable from their part? I need my table to be in the ‘Team’ space for the additional color and formatting although my ‘task editors’ don’t need to be in that space. Is there a cost effective way of setting up the above? Kind regardsAndrew

Here's the story:A few years ago I set up a base to capture birthday information for school applicants. Users would fill out a form (everyone using it was on EST), and enter a birthday (date only, no time).A year or so ago I started getting reports that some dates shown in our dashboard interface were off by 1 day. E.g. if the entered birthday was Dec 10, the interface would show Dec 9. (This may have correlated with when Airtable made some changes to the way they handled dates/timezones internally?)I'd like to fix this "correctly", so I'd really like to understand what is happening behind the scenes.When users submit a date with a form, does the user locale or browser timezone have any influence on the submitted date? Did the behavior of form-submitted dates change when Airtable made date handling changes?Are dates still stores as ISO strings (with timestamps) even if we don't want/have any time information?How can I correctly render a date

When a person joins our company I record their actual start date. However, their annual contract renewal date always starts the 1st day of the following month.I want to be able to record their start date and then have a column showing their next annual renewal date (the first of whatever the following month is) that updates as years go on.Example) Someone starts on 11/15/2023. I want the renewal column to show 12/1/2024.  Once the present date is past 12/1/2024, I would want that to automatically update to 12/1/2025.

I need to add up the total days of sick leave, as well as the total vacation leave. This way I can track if they have reached the maximum # of leaves. Can someone assist me?

Let's say I have a table of Invoices and then a table of payments. Each invoice is an aggregate of payments i.e. one invoice can have multiple payments. How can I get the index of each payment in the list of the invoice?

Hi, I've put together a few Interface pages that I'm very happy with. Dashboard pages allow you to add various elements together in the same page, but for any other page type this option disappears.Is it possible to add an element to, for instance, a List page?My use case is to add critical information/instructions at the top of the page, or a button to submit feedback specifically on that page. I would simply put my List in a Dashboard page, however doing that removes the ability to use filter tabs, which I need. (Yes, I'm aware of the ability to filter lists in a different way in the Dashboard, but I specifically need the tabs, and the option to "Collapse all by default"...neither of which are available in the List element in Dashboard pages.)

I have an production website using softr and I have a database with about 3000 records.I notice that when I initially go onto a page with the softr site, the load time of the data take 4-5 seconds.  However when I come back to that page in say 10-20 minutes and refresh the speed is very quick. If I come back to that same page say 1-2 hours later, again the initial load time is very slow. There is no caching enabled  by softr  and I disabled all browser caching, so I am thinking the slow initial loads their must be a from a db connection timeout and the slowness is by the system needing to create a new connection with the DB and running the query.So I was wondering what is that db connection time out?Knowing that will allow me with a Curl script to load a page every "X" minutes, so the end users don't experience any slowness.Thanks,Jeff

I would like to create a user portal where our Board Members can login and read displayed information from a base and respond some basic questions (Yes/No, Check mark, comments) that would become linked records. I've found a way to add the reviews inline while viewing a Record View, but ideally, the option to add would be at the top of the field (and possibly hiding the other reviews written, or displaying them in another place), and it would automatically capture the User Name. Moreover, I would like it to be able to show which of the records that person has not yet reviewed. Is there a better way to do this? Possibly via integrations/extensions, or better yet...free forms!I feel like I don't know the terminology well enough to find what I'm looking for, but surely it exists! 

I want to get the creation date of my records and I can't figure out what the variable is.Is there way I can get it, like I can get the record ID (record.getId()). Hello Community,My email automation that I use to send out reports has failed 3 times in a row and does not give me any information besides it has "failed". I went to the automation itself, tested it, and it said everything was fine. So I am not sure what the issue is. I am attaching a photo of the email I keep receiving. Hopefully I can get this figured out soon. (This is also just the normal email automation, not the gmail specific one.)

Hello All,My team and I are trying to manage the accesses of our collaborators within the same workspace.We are trying to have bases within the same workspace where not everyone has access.We are under the pro plan (team) and so far this is how we did:We removed most of the team from the workspace and added them back to the individual bases they need.However this is still limiting because we need users to be able to create their own bases which is impossible without Workspace Access.So two questions:Is this possible without upgrading plan? (the business plan allows feature I've seen)If not, is it possible to upgare plan of 1 admin collaborator to manage the access (and the reste of the team would remain on the same plan)

Has anyone else encountered this bug:I have a destination table that takes synced data from 2 source tables, things were working fine until just a few moments ago -When I have new data in source tables, and hit sync manually "Sync Now", new data rows show up in the destination table. However, a few minutes later, an automatic sync happened, and those new roles disappeared from the destination table (I didn't change the source or any filters, the automatic sync just undo my sync).If I hit sync manually again, the data rows appear again. Then automatic sync kicks in, and they are gone again.Already messaged support, but wanted to see if anyone else is encountering this.Thanks

I'm hoping this has an easy fix because it's a pretty simple use case! I have a table where each record is a task. Each task may have multiple contributors. I have a field that indicates the month the task will be completed as well as a field that shows who the key contributors are (Multi-select field). I need to create a view where each contributor can see all the tasks they are to work on, further broken down by month. The problem is that using the grouping feature, there doesn't seem to be a way to have a single records included in multiple groups. For example, if Sally and Roger are both contributors on a Task 1 in September, I'd need that task to be included in Sally's list as well as Roger's list and NOT in an aggregated grouping called "Sally and Roger". Hello everyone,Always with the ultimate goal of creating the perfect automated ToDo List,I have a script I was able to write that copies tasks from one table, pastes them into another table. The script copies the important information (task name, task categories, who's responsible and when it needs to be done). My script then links the task to the event in the ToDo Lists.But it's impossible to copy the dependencies between my tasks (link to another record) directly into the script. In any case, I was unable to do so and no one replied to my previous post. I got around the problem by asking the script to copy the dependency links from my main table into a text column in my ToDo Lists table.So I created a second automation to "Update record" the new records created by my script, to copy the text from the text column to the parent Task column, which is a link column to other records.As I said, I have about ten child tasks linked to its parent task (13 p

Hi everyone,I have a start and end date field in one of my tables and I am trying to find a way to get airtable to tag each month within the range. Essentially I want to know how many were active between 8/30/2019 and 7/31/2020. I haven't been able to figure out the filters because if a record was 7/30/2019-9/1/2020, it wouldn't show up. My workaround is getting the months range and then I can use that multiple select field to do the filtering.Any suggestions?Thank you in advance

Hi, we manage Airbnbs. We want to create a warning system that alerts us if a new booking comes in that matches the name, email or phone number of a previous guest that has caused issues in the past.When a previous guest has caused an issue, we flag them as High Alert on Airtable.This puts them into a View called “Guest Warning”.We want to build an automation that sends us a message or email when a booking comes in that matches the name, number or email of any records (guests) in the “Guest Warning” view.How do we do this?Thanks,Ollie

Is there a way to use filterbyformula to filter with two options from the same column?I have successfully retrieved all my records and now I want to be able to filter by 2 values from the same column.This is what I have so far filterByFormula: AND( {ID} = {Extension}, {Type} = 'Type A'). I want to also include Type C in this filter so it shows both Type A and Type C. I cannot find the documentation to do this. Please advise. Thank you.

This seems to be a commonly asked question but I am yet to see an answer that works for me. I am trying to build a base which will manage activity in our building in London UK. There is never a time that I don’t want any times entered to be treated as Europe/London - even if I am overseas the times should always be entered and displayed as London times, allowing for changes to GMT/BST when the clocks change. One thought I had was to use a Date field for the Date, and a single line text field for the time. I could then use a formula to create the dateTime, however in doing this I don’t seem to be able to find a way to use SET_TIMEZONE to force the calculation into Europe/London at the point when I am creating the dateTime - it seems that this is always calculated into GMT. A lot of Airtable support seems to suggest I use an offset to calculate this, but this seems to be deliberately ignoring the daylight savings issue. Putting in a single offset time just doesn’t

Is anyone else having issues with their JPEG and AI Files changing colors when you upload them? This is a business-critical issue and help support is not answering back. I've been trying to connect with them for a week and all that happens is pointing me back to either the Help Center or Message Center. I've even tried sales with no luck. I am on a Pro workspace plan, but maybe I have to upgrade to Business for AT to care? Right now it appears AirTable doesn't have customer service available. So far it's only been bots and salespeople.
