I have a base that I use for onboarding new users. New records are created via a fillout form. I want to create a linked record in my Agents & Staff table, as well as my phone directory table when a new record is created in onboarding. I know how to link to an existing record, but I am stuck on creating a new record and linking.

Hello you wonderful people! Small roadblock I've encountered that I am hoping someone can help with. I would like to use Airtable for our team to record meeting notes. When a new record is created in that table, it would be great to have some text pre-fill, much like in the manner default values can be assigned to some Field types. Since the default option (as far as I can tell) doesn't exist for Long Text Field type, I figured I would use an automation. I tried a simple test. Hi everyone,My team and I are trying to create URL previews for AirTable share links. The URL preview extension works for other URL types, such as Google Sheets, but we are seeing "No preview" when we select a cell with AirTable share link. It's the same issue whether the share link is for a base or for a table view.While looking through online documentation, I saw that the format of the link that's generated for us is different from the format I see in the documentation. Ours is in the format "https://airtable.com/app[random-string]/shr[random-string]/tbl[random-string]" or "https://airtable.com/app[random-string]/shr[random-string]",  while the online documentation shows the format "https://airtable.com/shr[random-string]".I'm not sure if that is the cause of the URL preview failing, but was wondering if anyone else encountered

Anyone else having issues logging into Airtable with two-factor authentication? The code that is supposed to be sent via text message to my phone is not going through, so I am unable to login ☹

upgrading to Airtable's Enterprise plan would remove the base row limits and allow more automations, but as of my knowledge , it is very expensive around 10k$?We have a large dataset that exceeds the 100,000 row limit per Airtable base. We also need more than the 25 automations allowed in the base. Upgrading to Enterprise is not feasible due to high cost.  We're looking for more affordable solutions to handle our large dataset size and automation needs within Airtable's business solutions. Has anyone found creative ways to structure large datasets across multiple linked bases or integrate affordable supplementary tools to overcome Airtable limits?We'd love to hear any cost-effective ideas or solutions that don't involve upgrading to the expensive Enterprise tier.Even partial solutions could give us ideas to explore further. We greatly appreciate any insights the community can offer!

Hello, everyone,I'm trying to create a email off of the scheduled time trigger that gives the recipients a list of the current records in a view (aka for review). The records in the view have critical documents that I need in the email, but I am running into an issue where because I have to get the records from Find Records instead of triggering off of their appearance in the view, the attachments can't be added, even if I make the fields they would be in visible in the grid.If anyone has any recommendations, I would love to hear it as the individuals receiving these emails are not going to be active in the bases themselves.P.S. If anyone is curious, this is my current automation:Trigger: At Thursday at 11AM -> Find Records based on view (x) -> Send Email (Use grid with relevant information.) The grid contains the attachment fields relevant but always show as empty.

I'm clicking on interfaces and start new interface. It brings me to a page that shows me the type of interfaces you can create but there is no button to press. It looks like there is a header text at the top of the page, but I can't even scroll the page up or down. So I tried in a different browser and the same happens. I'm the only creator so it's not an issue with having access. I'm having the same issue in Tools when trying to change permissions in a drop down menu. I can't even scroll through the top one to see the options. The page won't scroll. Any ideas?

Hi!Does anyone know how to remove access to an interface once it's shared? I shared an "editable" interface that I created for my creators with a read-only user so she can't interact with it. I created a read-only version with a form so she could submit information, but now I can't unshare the editable interface. I don't see an option to "remove access" with her account. What gives?I have a Pro account if that helps.

I want to download attachments from one of my tables via the API locally:If I open and download the file from the UI, it seems to download them from a S3 server. Is there any way to automatize or mimic this behavior via the API?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to create an automation that tracks data from two columns. We have a "planned publish date" and an "actual publish date." I'd like to have a way to track how frequently records are published within a week or so of the planned publish date. Is there a way to set up reporting in an interface for this? Or an automation that can compare the two dates and perform an action if they're within a certain timeframe to one another? I haven't tried writing my own script, but I'm open to that, as well as other suggestions. Hi all, any help appreciated.I'm creating a Matrix and trying to use the bulletpoint "Unordered List" and check box style "Task List" options when creating the content. I am copy/pasting the syntax directly from the Markdown cheat sheet and it is working for *most* cases, but randomly not for others and I have no idea why. I've tried deleting and re-entering, typing out rather than pasting, deleting the record and starting over... There seems to be no reasoning - that I can see - for the random times it goes wonky. I've attached some screenshots of the wonky incidents.Thanks in advance!

I have a table of Properties, and a table of Transactions. I would like to do an interface, whereby one can first select the property, and then enter the date range.Based on that, i wanted to show the Transactions which match the PropertyId, and are within that date range. I couldn't find any 'datepicker' element, and neither could I link the filter to the value of the Property Select earlier. Am I missing something, or is this functionality not supported?

Hello everybody ! I would like to set up an RFID card reader system for my fitness center that will be linked to a database. I would like to have the time when a customer scans their RFID card saved in the corresponding customer line and change his status from something like “Inactive” to “Active”. Can I do this with Airtable? I’m kind of a newbie :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in advance !

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm going to try my luck. I have a table with a lot of columns, and lots of records.  Sometimes, I need to find a particular set of records.  Considering I have say 100 columns,  I then need to locate the column. I use the "Find" feature to search for the column name, which locates it.  However, if I then have to move around the dataset to locate certain rows, I might need to move horizontally within the view, to locate certain information. This makes me end up losing the horizontal position of where that column is. Considering that there is no concept of a column index, I cannot say "Column Name" is Column Index 50 in this view, and then I can easily scroll to it.  I need to remember the scrollbar position, which is very vague.I'd appreciate if you have any advice on this matter. Hi! Does anyone know how to restrict access to a shared interface? I gave a read-only user access to an "editable" interface I made for my creators so that she couldn't utilize it. For her to submit information, I made a read-only version with a form; however, I cannot unshare the editable interface at this time. I can't find a "remote access" option for her account. How come? If it helps, my account is Pro.

Hi,I am looking for a way to make my 'Last Modified' column update when a look up field updates. I understand that this is not directly able to happen as it is not an editable field. But I was wondering if I could do this with automation? The look up field is a text box and could contain anything.

I’m creating a database of training staff have completed. I want to be able to cross reference between a table of staff and a table of training so I can:pull up a staff member’s records to see what training they’ve carried outsee the different training that has been carried out and expiry dates of thoseSo I can store the data, I’ve currently got it set as one table that does everything but when I add new training for a member of staff, I need to copy their data (team etc) for that new training. Or when I create a new training for lots of people, I’m having to copy the course details for everyone (course name, date etc).Complications are that there will be courses that staff will complete on different days but it would be good to view them in the training table all together.I can’t visualise how the two will work together or how to set it up. Hi all, I have automation setup to put notes in long text field when certain conditions met (and was proud of myself :winking_face: )…BUT when it triggers it removes and REPLACES any text that may already be there…just wanting to add additional text in that field…can that be done?

Hiya AT community, I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on my issue, as I haven't been able to solve this one on my own!I have a script that is performing some updates to a stocktake via a script. It will find matching items and then update the value in the number field. My confusion here is that it is working for one field and not the other field, I have tried different strategies to try and get an error or figure out why, but the field ID is defs correct and the field name used instead also produces the same result. When I check off some of the tasks in my task list I get "An error has occurred" and I get logged out. This is happening for other users too. I did a hard refresh, cleared cache, tried from an incognito window.... Nothing. It happens in the interface and in the data view too. I think maybe ones linked to automations, altho the automations seem okay. I also tried cloning the base in case it was just corrupted. Same thing.

We have dozens of automations that I've built running in our paid plan. Troubleshooting an automation in a free plan, so I may be missing something obvious!- Automation Trigger - when form submitted. - Slack Action - send channel message with simple text with field data from the form. This was running for months with no issue, we edited the message field and the automation tests run successfully. we see the post appear in the correct slack channel BUT.. we can't get the Automation Toggle to stay on.  (It is on for one second, then reverts to off.)We're below the 100 automation limit for the Free plan, so not sure what else might be causing this.any suggestions?

Interface newbie here (and, I've been at that stage for a LONG time, tbh) I'd love to build out an interface, but I'm just *not getting it*. I can add basic elements, but some of the things that my brain is visualizing, I can't get to replicate in this space. For example: I'd love to have an interface reflect on the success of the events the day prior. How many overall registrants across all events (which I've figured out), and then display the highest few (2/3?) events as a separate widget. I think I need to make these all formulas in my data? Or can I just make a formula in the interface itself?One layer further, we have a team of 6. It would be cool to have one interface show each person's "best" (highest registration count) event from the day prior, all within the same widget. Help?

How do I update a record on a table, based on a record on another table that just got updated, it requires a record ID but the update record automation action only gives the record ID of the just updated record and not the ID of the target record
