How do I auto sync fields with another tab in the same workplace? I need to ensure the fields are all the same so that info can be moved over from one to another when the automation I have made is triggered.

Hey Airtable Peeps! I’m about a month into the process of migrating most of my company’s core google sheet docs into Airtable, and we’re all loving it! Many things for such an awesome product. I’m building out some Interface Designer dashboards for my boss to get a high-level view of operations, and ran into a snag. In the sidebar apps on the table it defaults to sorting single-select fields by their user order, which is the behavior that I want. This is what it looks like: But on my interface, I created a bar chart that shows each record filtered by a single-select column, but my only sort options are ascending/descending alphabetical. How can I set local to the date that every country uses, and not the America only one?

I have tried to contact AirTable support, but can get no response from them so I will post this here.Airtable has a very nasty bug if you change a text field containing a large numeric value to a number (integer) field, it changes the data values.  The attached video shows two fields, the left one is a TEXT field, the right field is just a copy of the left for reference.In the video you will see me change the type of the left field from TEXT to NUMERIC (integer) - See that this changes every value in the field with no warning at all.  I am guessing that it only does this on large numbers, I have not tested further.

I need to revert an airtable back to 7/20/23. It is in the list attached. But the Create button will not let me select it or any other date on the list. 

Hi Folks, I'm trying to build a degree audit for my department, and the automation I built recognizes when any of XX courses is present in the student's record. I then want the next automation to use that same set of course numbers, but not count what automation 1 already identified. I can't figure out how to reference the previous automation though. Any ideas?

I must be missing something but can't find a way to change this. I have a standard lookup field with a capability to link to new records. When I'm adding a new  record via new record creation form I can only see the IDs of each field:However for the exactly same field, when I edit existing record and click that same field I get this. How do I get similar view when adding a new record so that I can see additional details for each item.    

I've been banging my head on this one for a while so any outside ideas would be more than welcome!We have three tables.Inventory: contains list of materials and their initial amounts. Each material is treated as a batch material so once it runs out, it's permanently out. Recipes: As the name suggests, contains recipes that can contain multiple ingredients. For each ingredient amount (or rather ratio of ingredients...) and few other details are given. Lookup fields bring some info from inventory for each raw material.Production mix: A right recipe is chosen and how much total material is wanted to be produced. When i set a Date manualy in a Field, another one should display a date 3 days before excluding weekends.I just only managed 3 days before but weekends are still included.Here my formula (Datefield is my manual selected field)Formula:  DATEADD(DATEFIELD, -3, "day")      Thanks for any advice!

I have 2 tables.Table 1 contains column ATable 2 contains column BNow, I want to check if the text appears in Table 1 also appears in a specific cell in Table 2.For example: Table 1   Table2text         text, text6, text99text3text4So in this example I will get a TRUE only for 'text' since it's located on Table 2

I'm new to Airtable with some background in relational databases but I need advice.I have built base for our nonprofit to manage volunteers. The Volunteer table has names, skills, availability, etc and the Personal References table holds several references for each volunteer. The 2 tables are linked with a Volunteer ID field - one-to-many relationship (volunteer-to-references) Typically, I would like potential volunteers to submit their applications via a form on our website.I have tried using 3rd party tools to build forms to add records to these tables but these tools only allow using one table per form. Is there another way to collect this information, populate both tables, and maintain the links? Either within Airtable or elsewhere?Thanks!

I'm using the 'create google doc' automation to output a grid of records.One of my record fields is a formula field - which is concatenating 2 long text fields together, and using the '\n' in the formula to give me a line break between the two fields being pulled in.  This works fine in the airtable (it shows the line breaks) - but I loose the line break when the google doc is generated: Any help very appreciated!! 🙂Layla  

I will be using Make to update a table with information gathered in the field. This includes new photos of assets. There should be only one photo in the attachment field, with all old photos stored in a separate field. I don't want to just replace the original attachment, as these photos are still needed. I want to be able to do the following:Upload the new photo into an attachment field ("Photo") using Make.Once the photo is uploaded, the previous attachment is moved to the "Old Photos" field. This field can have more than one photo stored in it.Is there a way to achieve this using scripting or some other tool?

Hello!I have 2 slightly different views which I want to sync / share at the same time...one has info for sending mail, and the other will be for receiving responses.We will use one single select field / column that has statuses, so when we send the mails, we will mark it 'sent' and then when we receive the responses, we will use the same field/column, but arranged in a different view which should live beneath the sending view in one single table, but change the status to whatever the responses is which will be a single select drop down menu with responses such as 'interested' or 'maybe another time' etc... all good so far?now, I want to set this up in one main template, and then sync/share the 2 views, multiple times, over and over again, each time I start a new project which follows the same process, right? It seems like when an interface gets any changes and re-publishes, the URL to the interface changes?  This makes setting up automations in slack or anything else based on the interface URL difficult.  Is there a way to create static links to Interface pages that can work with automations?

Hi, sorry in advance if this question has already been answered.I would like to compare two sets of date from different table, in the Table A I have a field with single select date that i want to compare with the Table B with multiple select, if in the Table B one of the data is the same I want to show the name of the person. If you need a context, I want to see the mentors that can help a student from a field that they choose, the mentors have given us many area of expertise and the student just one area of expertise, so from those two datas i want to do the matching and see the name of the mentors that can help this student.Thanks in advance!

Hi,I'd like to ask people more advanced than me to see if there is a way to do this.I have 2 tables: a Contact one and an Articles one.Each one has a multiselect field that hold the same data: Contacts select their interest (i.e. Sport, Tourism, etc) and Articles are tagged based on their topic (Sport, Tourism, etc).What I would like is to find the Articles for each Contact: a match would be considered if at least one of the Contact's interest matches at least one of the Article topics.I found a way to do this via code in a script, but scripts have limitations and I have around 5k contacts and around 10-20 articles to search for. Ideally I would like to do this with formulas or linked records or something in the UI.Otherwise I'll just resort to Make.com.Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas!Thanks,Stefano

I have two tables, one for active projects and one for completed projects. I want to move complete projects from the active projects table to the completed projects table. I don't mind doing it manually (the volume of weekly change is low), and I don't mind copying from active to complete and then deleting the record from the first table after I've successfully added it to the second table. But I cannot figure out how to do any of this, and searching the help info and community hasn't helped. All I've found so far is "copy record URL" which doesn't seem to be useful at all. I'm sure I'm just being dim here, but I need some step-by-step guidance on what to do here. TIA!

Hi, Is there a script that will generate a Unique ID for each image that would ideally be the concatenation of other fields like Initiative Name, Project Name, and then some random value?  While the image has a name, creating Asset ID's automatically would help organize and ensure we are working with the correct creative asset.
