Based on the wonderful scripting resources here, I wrote my first script with the Scripting extension to send an email via SendGrid with the user clicks a button field.The email recipient is stored as a field in the People table in Airtable. The email body text is stored as a long text field in the Email Templates field.The template contains several fields from the People table to communicate customized information to the recipient.. I surrounded the field names with double curly braces, but they are not being resolved. The sent email is just the raw text.I think I'm missing something obvious...The reason for doing this as a script instead of using the SendGrid extension is that the extension sends to all records in a view. I want to have a button on an interface that the user clicks as they go through their workflow. It's not something that can be automated. The button should send the customized email to just that record.

Hi all, I'm not sure if my aim should be achieved with a formula or an automation but I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a various payment schedules for different companies which show me the dates each one is due to make a payment - I upload these into Airtable.These payments may fall on a weekend. Where they do each company must make the payment either on the proceeding or preceding working day according to on what is stated in their T&Cs. I have a non-working day treatment field which indicates for each company whether it's meant to pay on the proceeding or preceding working day if the original payment due date is a weekend.How can I make a formula that looks at the payment due date and if it falls on a weekend changes the due date (add or minus 1 or 2 days) according to the non-working day treatment field? Alternatively, am I better off doing this in excel before I upload the payment schedule to Ai

I've created a base table on Airtable.  Then from the developers/API key section, I created a token.  I've copied the Token ID from the personal access tokens section and pasted it directly .env file. Hi team ~ I've created a tracker in grid view to track graphics workflow at our company. I'm wondering if there is a way that I can share the base and have editable cells within (mainly dropdowns, similar to the function in form view) so those without a licence can edit/update? We don't have a huge budget for a licence so can't afford to have everyone as editors. My only other thought is to create a generic login for our staff to use as editors and update as needed. Happy to take on any suggestions! Thanks!

I have a structure, similar to the below simplified version:EndOfMonthReportsClientIdDatePayoutsEndOfMonthReportIdBookingsEndOfMonthReportId ExpensesEndOfMonthReportIdPayouts, Bookings, Expenses all fit the template whereby they all have a Date, Description and Amount. They all have very distinct fields, so I dont believing merged them all into one table would make sense. Each of these entry in a way effects the client's account balance, either with a positive transaction, or a negative transaction. I would like to be able to generate a report, where one can get an account statement per client, for a particular time period.  What this would do is if you say generate it from Jan 23 - Jun 23, it would get all the end of month reports within that date, and show a list of all these distinct transactions, in the form of:

I would like to use automation, to look for a matching bank statement, related to a payout. In english terms, the automation would be something like this:When Payout with Payout Date is at least 14 days agoThen, Find Record in Bank Transactions where Date is after Payout.Payout DateFor number fields or text fields, there is the little gear icon on the right which allows you to set dynamic variables. Hello, I am trying to automatically update the "Bill Date" based on the date of incoming claims. The bill date is based on a start and end date and all three dates are recorded in a different table for billing schedule. How do I create a if claim date on my main table is between the two date in the billing table? In excel this would be simple, but having an issue with looking up on a different table in airtable. How are you?I would like some help with a solution I'm having difficulty finding answers for.I have a table and I need to generate a unique code (ID), but not based on randomness, rather on a relationship of information within the table itself.The ID in question should have a format similar to this: YYMMDD + BR + NumeratorWhere the numerator should differentiate between identical records, for example:Suppose on the date 23-08-08 there were 3 records. The code should then be: 230808BR01, 230808BR02, 230808BR03.Does anyone know how to solve an issue like this?

I'm getting an invalid Switch formula, even though it's super simple.I have several columns of singular date fields. Each date field is a milestone. I'm writing a simple Switch formula to check if Today() = one of the date fields, then if so say the column's name.I've simplified this formula to it's most basic to evaluate against itself and I'm still getting an invalid formula. What am I overlooking?   SWITCH( TODAY(), TODAY(),"yes", "no" ) 

What are my options after I reach  the Table limit of 50000?I've just realized that the record limit is actually a hard limit, not a soft one. What can I do at this point? I'm at a loss. I certainly need more room in my databases - it's crucial for me to store all of my data.

I've been getting this error message recently when attempting to view attachments in my base. Does anyone know what causes it or how to fix it? Not finding much on the help center about preview limitations of this kind.

Hy, friends! I was trying to create dependent dropdowns using the “If a record matches the conditions” then “Find Records” automation. I can’t do it, maybe I’m doing something wrong? Can anyone help me or explain the essence of automation?

Beginning on 8/7/2023, when entering a new record in my application’s Interfaces, I noticed that the CREATE button has disappeared from the ADD RECORD Form.  Verified that all of my Interfaces are impacted as well.  Also, all databases.  I have submitted an Issue Ticket to Airtable Support.Any ideas as to the cause?  Am I overlooking something?  Is this a bug introduced with Airtable’s latest release?  Any recommendations?

Good day.There's an issue across the board when it comes to creating new records. It used to be that a person would fill the details and then click on the "x", which would create a record. This no longer works.Now it shows a 'create' button when the Interface is in the Edit Mode but doesn't appear when published? This is a big problem since no-one can create records via the Interface Designer!

I'm doing a read-only base to give to others as a template and I noticed my automations don't transfer when they copy the read-only base. Is this right? Is there a way to make sure they cross over?

Hi, I wonder if there is a formula to calculate number of nights between two dates with times. For instance if I have arrival at 01/09/2022 at 22:00 and departure at 01/11/2022 at 09:00 that evidently means 2 nights in a given place. Any help and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I have a table where people insert new records through an Interface, one of these columns needs to be unique.My issue is that i cannot stop people from inputting the same data by mistake through Airtable's Interfaces (so for example they need to fill the form  with "12345", but they write "21345" by mistake, and "21345" is already there in the database), so i want to catch this duplicate's existence afterwards by sending an email and performing other operations when it happens.Do you know if this can be done?

Hello Airtable Community, I hope all is well! I am having trouble with creating a running total formula/script. In the first table called "General Monthly KPIs" there is a field linking to the "Transactions" table with the dates, month and year, and the amounts of each transaction. There is a rollup field in the General Monthly KPIs table that calculates the monthly burn of each month. How can I create a running total field? There are thousands of transactions, so the 1-to-1 and 1-to-many method will not be applicable.  I tried scripting, here is my script: Which resulted in an incorrect running total:

Hello, I'm trying to return the date in a field based on the urgency selected in another field. For example, if the urgency is "As soon as possible" the date should return today's date which I'm able to get with TODAY() formula. However, I couldn't manage to get next week's date with TODAY() + 7 as I would do in Excel. What is the correct formula would be for that? Thank you!
