Hello,I am working with a formula field that I have created to take a Select list value from Field 1 and change it into a number. Example:Switch ( {field 1}“Choice 1”, ‘1’,“Choice 2”,  ‘2’)The output of this is a text value of 1 or 2 not a numeric value. The tool will not allow me to use the following , the 1 and 2 turn red.Switch ( {field 1}“Choice 1”, 1,“Choice 2”,  2)Using the first switch function how do I now set the 1 and 2 to a numeric value?

Hi friends! I work for a cleaning company and we are trying to find a better way to manage our cleaning supply inventory better. We currently have a complicated situation where our cleaners need to notify us when they need cleaning supplies, we then move it to a master list, and then onto a distribution list. Cleaners often will forget to ask for a product and are in need of something so they’ll ask to grab something the day of. This always messes with our ordering process as sometimes it will be so busy when they come in, we forget to mark it down and we’ll run out of products faster than expected. Wondering if there is a way through airtable to scan the barcode and have it automatically subtract one from the master inventory.

I am hoping to use a cutdown “form” or interface designer method to enable stocktakes of our database items via mobile phone and the airtable app. I have created an interface with a barcode field to be used as a key to all the items and an associated display of the fields for each record that can be changed - location, number of items etc. As others have mentioned I was surprised ot see that sharing the interface also shares the entire base but this doesn’t worry me as its only for internal use. When I look at the barcode field for the base/table on the phone app, I can see the camera/scan option and can scan in a barcode. But when I launch the interface and see the barcode field, I can’t see a camera option. If I select the barcode field it just shows a screen keyboard and I can’t see how to enable the camera. I want to use the camera/barcode to find the item in a record list then manually enter the associated data. Also there doesn’t see to be a way to access the interface fro

From this URL Webhooks table changed webhook suppose to send notification for below actionsdestroyedFieldIds createdFieldsById changedFieldsByIdI have added sufficient scope permission to my webhook to get these triggers payload. When I create new field proving type and description I am not receiving response via webhook. Where as if I add new record entry to that field on Airtable web ui then I get notification in changedRecordsByIdCan anyone check if these are working functionality in webhook. Thank you

Hi, each record in my table has an email address {email} and photo {photo}. For each record, I’d like to send the record’s photo to the record’s email address. Is there a way to do this using SendGrid? I’ve tried turning on “Send as HTML” and doing <img src="{photo}"> but doesn’t work as {photo} is replaced by “filename (url-to-file)” when I only want url-to-file.

I set up an interface for reviewing and managing customer credit limits and I can’t figure out how to set a field to display with the numbers right-aligned.It would look so much better and be more readable with the currency values right-aligned the way they should be! 

Hi dear folks, I want to ask a solution suggestion on Barcode solution that our company is trying to build the inventory list which we want each item has its own barcode (any code type including QR), and we can scan it and locating its place. I would want to ask: 1). which is the best barcode generation system? anything can be better integrated to airtable? 2). which scanner we should purchase? or just using our iphone? thanks for your answering.

Hi there 🙂I have a base for keeping track of inventory for a warehouse. I'm using barcodes. I have a home table that gives an overview and stock count. There's also a table that logs every movement (in and out of items). I add a movement to the log by linking to the home table stock item that's identified by its barcode. On my phone, I can search for the item I need to link to by using my camera to scan it's actual barcode but this isn't possible with all devices. All I need to know is which tablets are able to do this as well. I'm struggling to figure this out as I need to get a tablet for my warehouse that's able to do what my phone can (without having to purchase an ipad because they're too expensive). Could someone please advise me on more affordable tablets that are able to do this? 

Hi For some reason when I try to fill-out a form, when I scan a barcode, the form does not recognize it.  I scan a barcode that reads LE100 and it will just give me the first item that's embedded in the form. And this does not happen when I use the form in the edit view nor does it happen on any other base or view. Only on the actual form does it not work correctly. The scanner works, I tried filling out the form on different computers, I refreshed the form or exit it out and open another one. We have been using the scanner for almost a year now and it worked so I have no idea why all of a sudden it's not working now. I have no idea what could possible be wrong and would like help. 

I have an existing list of barcode numbers in my base.  I need to be able to scan a stack of corresponding barcodes and have Airtable check off that barcode so that I know the barcode from the list was matched with the scanned barcodes.  Is there a way to create this in Airtable?

We utilize Airtable to keep record of barcoded assets located at 10 different locations. When we do a physical inventory we have to manually search the item by barcode number and use the checkbox field to check that it has been inventoried.  I'm looking for a way to set an automation to simply scan a barcode the item being inventoried and using automation Airtable will find the record and update the checkbox field.

Please have pity on an absolute newbie. I have been tasked with creating an inventory control system for a community theatre’s extensive prop inventory. What I would like to do is create barcodes for each item, and then devise a simple way to check them in and out. I am confused by the airtable app barcode function - it appears to allow me to scan barcodes only when creating records. Can I use it to scan the actual item in the warehouse and pull up the existing record? In a perfect world, our users would be able to go to the warehouse, pull out half a dozen items, scan them and have the inventory location move from it’s designated shelf to a “checked out to:______________” status. Hello. I am working on a form to list specific medications, the vendor it originates from, cost, qty, etc. I’d like to be able to input the brand names of medications into the form and have the generic names of that specific medication auto-populate in a field below the brand name on the form and in the grid view. I’ve tried creating a separate table and inputting the medication brand and generic names in a list, but I cannot figure out how to use conditional formatting (or lookup) to populate the generic name in the form. Hopefully this makes sense. I’m struggling to describe what I’m looking for. Example: Single Line Text Field: Medication Brand Name - Adrenaline Conditional Field: Medication Generic Name (to auto-populate) - Epinephrine

Hello! I am looking for an advanced questionnaire, either in Forms for Airtable or an integration. I would need it to be in sections (each section having a little header with directions), and an if-then conditional type of response, where if they answer a question one way, the next thing pops up based on that answer.Any thoughts on how to do this in Airtable or what integrations may be best for this?Thanks!  

I am on the free plan. A few Co-workers can add an event to the calendar by submitting a shared form. The Airtable calendar is then updated. That works well. But say they need to delete an event. How can that be done using the same form, or do I need to make a new shared form? 

My organization is implementing a new Airtable base structure complete with integrations with Softr, Fillout, and Make. It’s a complex build that has taken over a year to build. We recently upgraded to Business to take advantage of higher record limits and 2-way table sync. Now I have learned of the limitations of the 2-way sync and I am doubting everything.We were advised to design our operation in two bases; let’s call them People and Things. About half of the tables in each base have been synced into the other base. Here’s the problem:A table in People (Names) is synced to Things The synced Names table needs a rollup from a table in Things (Furniture). A linked field and the rollup are added to the synced table. We need that rollup back in the People base, but it does not sync back because of how 2-way syncing works (records sync, not fields native to in the target base). We have embedded an iframe with an Airtable Interface into our Website. The problem is that the content of the iframe is not updating in realtime once i change data inside Airtable which SHOULD reflect in an immediate change of the iframe (Interface) contents. The content in the Airtable Interface however is updated immediately - only the website embedded iframe is still showing old content.How can i make the content inside the iframe update immediately?

Hello!I am trying to create a field that returns matching values from 2 other fields.In the screenshot below, ‘Budget’ and ‘Offered’ have the same options (multi-select fields). I would like to have the third field, ‘Budgeted and Offered’ that shows the matching options from those fields.   How can this be accomplished within airtable?

I have a record picker on Page 1. I also have a search button, which has an action set to ‘go to interface page’. This point to Page 2. On Page 2, what I’m trying to achieve is a record summary of the record picked on Page 1. Could someone advise if this is possible? If possible, please explain how. Thank you in advance.

I shared on our Wix site the Airtable calendar. All looks good. But if the public clicks on the View larger version link, along the bottom right, it opens larger and shows at the top Using “Reserved Date/time field, customize labels , filter and sort. Filter and sort is fine but how do I remove “using Reserved Date/Time and customize labels. It looks weird and confusing to public. I am on the free plan.

Airtable has come a long way from when I first started where I had to pair it with Excel to get earnings and cashflow projections for my small freelance business. I now have four extensions that give me data I used to have to calculate with Excel, but I’m missing the fifth that would let me ditch Excel completely, and this extension needs the following formula: Projected Available Next Month - Fixed Number=“Left to Earn (negative)/Rollover (positive).”I have the first part to get these numbers and then I have the method to use the answer of the equation to redistribute those numbers in AT according to whether I’m short or flush, but I cannot get that middle calculation in AT.FWIW because my income is so variable, this data lets me even out my earnings and pay myself a regular paycheque. I started doing it manually on paper, then with Excel, then I started in AT and continually improved my base as more features came available. I really want to get to the point that I ca
