Hello,I am new here and am trying to find a way to create a new record (and auto-populate some data into this new record) when the user pushes a button on a different table.Example:I have table A and table B. I want to find a way whereby if the '2024 Definate Grow out' box is checked on a given record in table A, a new record is automatically inserted into table B, which copies over some of the data from the relevant record in table A into this new record in table B. I have managed to create an automation which inserts a new record in Table B every time I push the button on a record in Table A, but do not know how to copy across the data into the new record on Table B or if this is even possible.  Thank you!  Z

Hello guys,  I would appreciate it if I could get some help on this. So the context is that I have two tables. 1 table is for quotation (Tbl_RFQ) and another table is for when quotation is confirmed (Tbl_Confirmed). For example, an item in Tbl_RFQ may invite 3 bids (i.e., 3 records). However, only 1 bid will be selected for each item. Hello Airtable Community,I am hoping that someone can help me out with an automation that I am trying to build.  I am new to Airtable and am figuring things out as I go.  Well, trying to at least.We are a small behavior services company that works with adults with intellectual disabilities.  Since our inception, I have been tracking how many hours we provided to each of our clients in Excel but it was too clunky so I have started using Airtable instead.  So far I am impressed but I am having some challenges getting all the things I have pictured into my head to become reality in Airtable.So far I have built a base that has a couple of important tables.  One that has the necessary information that I need to track for our clients including what services they qualify for, a weekly tracking sheet that captures each clients hours delivered for that week and a rate sheet which then can tell me what those hours translate to in terms of billing payments.  I also figured

Hello all, We have recently implemented Airtable on our team to account for hours worked by employees. To gather the information, I created a form in which they answer at the end of every work-day to take into account the actual hours worked. These answers feed a database that groups every reply by week/employee. In the database, I created a column of “Work-day” which is the employee’s weekly hours divided by 5 business days. This way, when they answer the form, I would have the daily overtime and then it would be grouped weekly and it would give me the weekly overtime.However, the team is mainly composed by part-time workers and that’s where it becomes tricky. We don’t really enforce a fixed start/finish hour, so a person who has a contract of 18 hours/week, may work only 2 days one week and then 5 days the next week, picture below.

Hi there,In order for me to create a junction table. How can I get certain data from one table to another? I am looking to get all submissions, team, month, points awarded.   I would like it to move over these fields and when a new recorded is added for it to add those as well Is this possible?

I have started a blank canvas instead of using a template to show various data.  Is there a way to use a pivot table within a blank canvas?  I want to show points given by each team as the column and each row would be the team then across the top would be each month and then within each would be the number of points given. I would then want to replicate this with the amount of submissions example is below using the template   

Hello,Am wondering if there is any way to have a table in page designer be dynamic in size?  We would like to use page designer to generate invoices, but some clients have only a couple of lines while others have 15-20.  The biggest current issue are the large invoices that have too many rows to fit into a one-page table.  Right now, it just gets cut off. Is there a way to extend the table to a second page?In an ideal world, my total price, etc. fields would be at the bottom of a table that only is as tall as the number of rows in it, whether it is 3 rows or 30.  Thoughts?Thanks,Alex

Hello,I am trying to figure out how to create this base without over complicating it. I have customers who need to request licenses for three different softwares. This needs to be in the same form. They need to specify length and quantity of those softwares.  In the from I'm also asking for basic customer information. I've currently set it up so the customer picks the software from a linked table, with conditioning then asking for 'Length' and 'Quantity' for each selected software. https://airtable.com/shrw2mPLjYm203vkk My problem is, that in my base, I'd like separate records for each software picked by the customer, but I'd like it to happen in one form submission, so the customer doesn't have to do it more than once:  Customer 1: Software ACustomer 1: Software CCustomer 2: Software BCustomer 2: Software C

I have an interface that has linked table of images.I need the user to be able to rearrange these records by hand (drag and drop) so they print nicely and the right order. This works if I do it in a view. However the user should only be in the interface. I seem to be able to find anyway to rearrange these in an interface using either a gallery or cards. Is it me who a missing a check box to allow this?

Hello, I have a primary table of records and a secondary table to request updates to the primary table. I want a column in the secondary table that lists all of the columns in the primary table that someone could select to update. Preferably, this would be a list that is linked to the actual column names in the primary table so that the list updates if I update a column name in the primary table. Is this something that AirTable can do?  TIA!

I WANT THE DETAILS OF THE SUBMITTED FORM TO APPEAR ON GOOGLE SHEETS… I KEEP ON TESTING THE AUTOMATION AND IT POPULATES IN GOOGLE SHEETS BUT WHEN I TURN IT ON TO WORK AUTOMATICALLY NOTHING HAPPENS… WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?   

I am trying to use Airtable and Softr to create a page with fund applications for individuals so that I can track which year a fund was applied for and what its status is (ongoing, granted or rejected). It is important that each fund is presented on individual lines through Softr. If you look at the picture, that is how I want it and managed to do it with Google Sheets and Softer. But I am having problems with Airtable. Does anyone have an idea how I can do it?  

Is this base design possible? See image. I need to schedule a variety of sessions categories (29) across a variety of times. Each of the session categories has a varied quantity of allocations. In the photo attached, at the top you can see the session times and the rooms. In each cell is a pull-down list of the allocation type. At the bottom left in the image, you can see the allocation type and the quantity. The table at the bottom sums up the amount of time session allocation abbreviation is entered in the top table and then allows for a horizontal sum calculation.The top table would be very easy to construct. What I’m wondering is if we can make the bottom table a visible entity on the same table? It will be important to see totals as the sessions are allocated.

Hi, my staff are grouped in 3 areas. Central, West and East. Each team has a deputy manager (DMs) and a manager (Ms). It's important that DMs and Ms can not see records of staff that are not in their area. Does airtable allow you to set up granular permissions?Also how can you stop deputy managers seeing the managers or ceo records?Thank you

Some field types including single selects, multiple selects, linked records, and collaborator fields will show “List” or “Record” instead of the values you may be used to seeing in the Airtable grid view. This is consistent with how the Airtable Web API returns information.

Hello,I need help understanding who can comment to each other in the Interface Portal feature. I set up an interface with multiple pages, each shared with different external guests who have "Editor" access to the interface, but not the underlying data. For example, page 1 is shared with all guests, page 2 with guest A, page 3 with guest B, and page 4 with guest C.Guests can only comment to me, the base creator, and when using "@" they only see themselves and me. Even if multiple guests have "Editor" access to page 1 (which all guests have access to), they cannot comment to each other. 

Let me first preface these questions with I’m a vet tech not a computer programer/data person, and I’m only doing this for my hobby. I have these two PDF files that I would like to add to my air table to help me classify my model horse show string. I would like to put conditions on the drop down list so If I select one general breed or specific breed or class only a certain list comes up,  Is this possible? Hi there,I am using webhooks to send data from our base to our application endpoint, but we've observed that if our endpoint fails to respond correctly, the webhook is retried many times.While we work on making our endpoint more resilient, the volume of retries can cause issues.Is there any setting, configuration, or recommended best practice from your end that we can use as a workaround to prevent or immediately stop a webhook from retrying upon the first failure?Our goal is to have more direct control over the retry behavior to avoid overloading our systems during an incident.Thank you for your guidance.

Hi all! Did Airtable recently push out an update or changes recently?  Many of my users appear to have lost user admin rights with no change on our end to facilitate that.

I have an AI automation step creating an summary and searching the web, but after working fine a few times i suddenly got this error: 'Automation failed: failed to access web page via internet' Does anyone know why this happens? Or what i can do to make sure it doesn’t happen?
