Hello! I have a table of employees, with their name, work start date, and birthdate, as columns. I’d like to create another table to show me only the employee names whose birthdays and annual work anniversaries are coming up within the next 7 days based on today’s date. I’d love to also calculate, in this table, the number of years they have been at the company. This sheet should update automatically every day to include only the employees who have birthdays and annual work anniversaries within the next 7 days, and should remove the employees who no longer match that criteria. Is this possible in Airtable, and if so, how should I create this table? Thank you!

Hello! I’m trying to create a content calendar that creates automated records. For example, if I know that I want to post to Facebook every day at 9AM, I would like Airtable to automatically create records for the posting time/day in advance. Ideally, every week it would create the records for three weeks in advance. I can see where I can automatically trigger an automation to run weekly, but I can’t figure out how to set a relative date for the record I want created (i.e., first “create record” is 21 days in the future, second is 22 days, etc for the week). Is this possible?

We have a form that students fill out and I need to be able to automate a search on every submission that will search for certain trigger words that will alert us if a student needs immediate intervention. Is this possible?

I have an automation that takes a record and transforms all the data within it to a custom json data structure. The final line of this script looks like await table.updateRecordAsync(targetRecord, { 'json': JSON.stringify(recordOutput, null, 2).replace(/\\"/g, '"')+"\n" } Where recordOutput contains my json structure and all mapped values for the record that was triggered. This works fine, the Airtable field json looks exactly how I’d expect: (double clicking on any of these fields reveals the rest of the output). Here’s the issue: When I copy these fields, I get a string where each object and text string is wrapped in an extra double quote: "{ ""display"": true, ""featured"": false, ""

Hello all, I’m trying to automatically update a grid of available appointment times to reflect the current date with our appointment times, I can’t seem to figure this out on the formula side or the date list side of things. I tried to create a formula: DATEADD({All Time Slots},1,‘days’) And this keeps the same time slots as the previous day, but I can’t set an automation to use the formula field to update the ‘Time Slots’ field because it is a calculated value. How can I keep the appointment schedule grid updated with the current date and appointment times?

I’m attempting to use the the “Find Records” action as part of an automation designed to notify me when there are multiple records with the same description. The way I currently have it set up: Trigger: When Record field “Issue Description” is Updated Action: Find Records where “Issue Description” IS (also tried Contains) “Issue Description” from Step 1 [to identify if it’s the same description] The automation runs every time I update the field, but keeps returning result of 0 records found even though there are indeed other records with the same description. Not sure what I’m configuring wrong or need to fix to get this to work.

Hello All - I am struggling to figure out how to get an attachment to be added to the email that is triggered based on time values. The current emails as I have the process set up are coming in the body of the email which makes it very hard to review the data, etc. Any suggestions here for someone super new to Airtable?

Hey everyone, I’m building my database into a website and in order for me to create filters, I need a lot of data in form of multi-select fields. I have two cases where I struggle to automate this: A linked record column: I want to have whatever is in this column to always be added to a multi-select field A roll-up field: I want the values that the roll-up gives me to be added to a multi-select field Currently, I need to always copy the entire column and paste it into a multi-select field. That works for now but isn’t really scalable and it’s too easy to forget / make mistakes. Has anyone come across a way to automate this? Thanks so much in advance! Tim

I’m trying to use automation to select rows from a parent table based on start and end dates in the parent table. How do I ask for rows where my ‘start date’ field is less than the current date and my ‘end date’ field is more than 7 days in the future. I have both the ‘start date’ and ‘end date’ created as a date, but in automation I’m on;y given the option of selecting specific dates, not dates less than or dates greater than a value.

Hi Everyone, I have created a scheduling process in Airtable to create events on my calendar but for some reason someone that creates it outside my timezone the even takes the format DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY. This works for my country but it seems to not working properly outside. I have fields configurated to european dates as well as my calendar is configured to european format DD/MM/YYYY. What can i do? No Zappier please :frowning:

I have successfully created an automation that forwards a notification email to another email address besides the main account holder. The problem is that I cannot include in that notification email information about the specific form submitted (like title of form or include information from the fields in the form. Please help!

Hello! We use Airtable for our inventory and our finance team require a summary of the value of stock at the end of each month. I have a value column which shows each product’s value and I look at the sum at the bottom of the total. I have also created an interface which highlights the total value of stock we’re holding at any one time. This interface is really useful but the problem is as it automatically updates when something changes I can’t send this to accounts as a summary of the value at the end of each month (this is great in general - just for the purposes of this task I need to find another way). I have also thought about setting up an automated email to send 1st of the month at 12am but can’t find a way of including the small value in the ‘sum’ at the bottom of the value column. I’ve also looked at snapshots but it looks like you can’t automate these for a certain day/time. I can of course just send them an email with a link to the interface saying ‘h

Hi. I have a zap set up in Zapier such that when someone books a call in Calendly, it finds and updates the record in Airtable and then adds a tag ‘‘Info Session’’ to a Multiselect field. This works fine. However, I don’t want this tag to overwrite the other tags that are already there under that same field. I want it to stack the additional tags and NOT overwrite them. I will appreciate a solution to this. It is quite urgent. Thank you.

Hello, So let me start out by saying I am currently testing airtable to see if it suits my needs because clickup sucks. Clickup is way too buggy and too bloated. I love airtable however I just hit the realization that you cannot seamlessly change between bases and you also cannot link records between bases nor can you set up automations that cross between bases. This is a buzz kill for me as my like to change status of a particular record and trigger a automation to then duplicate and add a template to the duplicated record on another list/base. i cannot do this on airtable and its very frustrating. I would like to know if any plans are in the works with a feature like the one described above?

They are all linked in the following way A task can have multiple creators A task has a single brand A creator can have multiple tasks What I’m trying to do is send an email every time a new creator is added to a task, with information both from the task (around 12 properties) and the creator tables (around 2 properties, incl. the recipient email address). I tried 2 things, but none of them worked: Automation ‘A’ triggers when a task record is updated; the creator linked field is watched. I can create the email body with all the properties I require from the task and pull the email addresses from the creators table with a lookup field. Hi everyone. I need some help understanding if my logic is correct. I am trying to create follow-up emails to be sent in the future 1 month, 3 months, 6 months - from the date they were added to the table. I am using a specific status as condition (e.g 1 month) + language condition + date added = number of days ago (e.g 30, 90 or 180). Thank you in advance for your help.

According to this page, only an owner or editor should be able to update records via an interface’s “Editable” elements. But when I preview an interface as a user with only commenter or read-only access, it seems to still permit field editing by that user. Is this just a bug/limitation of the “preview” design, such that when actually published the interface will not permit editing? Or is the intended edit limitation not actually working?

Hi!. I have built an automation that sends an onboarding email (in Outlook) to new customers who have signed up for my free 30-day trial. I would like to attach our Quick Start Guide (a .pdf) to each email. I would not like to have to attach the .pdf to each record individually. I have found some pages in the help guides that talk about this but they might as well have been written in Greek.(https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051028394-Send-an-email-Action ) I’m very experienced building workflows in Airtable, but can’t code worth a darn. Hi, I am fetching some url’s to get their right URL (with www. or without www.). When websites don’t have SSL/https, it runs in an error. I catch the error and that’s all fine. Right after the fetch (and error handling); I want to update the database record with await table.updateRecordAsync( record.id, { ‘Website’ = 'error } But this line crashes with an error message: Error: request to https://88.86.101.150/ failed, reason: Hostname/IP does not match certificate’s altnames: Host: stranky1.cz. is not in the cert’s altnames: DNS:abstracts.cz, DNS:admin.abstracts.cz, DNS:www.abstracts.cz (although I do not fetch the website again) How can I update the table ? I’ve just seen that Airtable has an Automation update. Is it possible to now have something run at an exact date and time. I.e. I want to schedule a post to Facebook, I want it to run on the 06/02/2022 at exactly 10:12am. Can I do this? I’m using ClickUp and I can do exactly this but I have to admit, I like the simple layout of Airtable.

Can anyone please recommend a developer that can easily set up emails in Airtable using Integromat and Sendgrid. I’d really like to keep all our comms inside Airtable but can’t seem to find anyone that can set this up. I’ve tried several different people on platforms like Upwork but to no avail.
