Dear Airtable Community, I need your help with the mailing automatization. I need to send the same email to mullite people. Here’s my issue: I created an automation of sending out emails which works great. The only thing is that most often, I need to send out the same email to multiple people: I need that emails send automatically to several recipients’ emails that I put into each record. I’ve tried using a long form with “email1@email.com; email2@email.com;” as the Email Address Field, but it only sends to the first email. Could you please tell me if it’s somehow possible to do? Hello, I have two date fields: one set as a date type for content entry/management and the other one for specific time zone display purposes. This works great at in the table view: However, when I want to display those same values (grid view) in an automation email, my formula for the formatted date renders nothing: This is the formula I am using: DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE({Date}, 'America/Chicago'), 'M/D/YYYY h:mm') Looks like this is a related issue: Automations not displaying formula references and date fields. But this does not appear to have a resolution. Thanks for the help!

I am using airtable for a membership database. I have a table for youth and a table for adults. I use a formula to calculate age and when members turn 18 they are copied to the table for adults. BUT every now and then the birthdate field gets copied over incorrectly and I get the most bizarre ages. For instance a test record was copied over with the birthdate 10/1/0200 instead of 2000 so they are listed as being 1,821 years old. And it’s not happening every time. This one happened today but a record from last week copied over correctly. Anyone have any ideas what I should look at?

Hello! I’d like to have a set of single select options that indicate a follow-up timeframe. Example: 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months… I’d then like to have an automation generate what that date would be, where the automation would take the record created date + that amount of time (2 wks, 1 month, etc.) The date generated by the automation would drive a view that looks for any follow-up dates within a week’s time span. I know how to create the view, I’m just hoping that it’s possible to create the automation to update the follow date field based on the option chosen within the single select field. Is this at all possible? Thanks in advance!

With interfaces and Automations on my mind, this old chestnut of local date/time has popped up again. I’m the first to admit that I’m a slow learner, but can someone help me with understanding what’s actually going on here? //Automation Script: const now = new Date(); console.info(now) console.warn(now.toString()) I find it impossible to simply calculate my local date-time and stamp it into an Airtable record via an Automation script and it’s most frustrating. When I looked at this same problem last month, I employed a god-awful hack where my Automation script looks up a table that’s soul existence is for hosting a local-time offset for the script to use… :nauseated_face: There was a very similar/identical discussion, but it turned out the Scripting App handles this local date-time issue differently to the Scripting in Automation. Hey there, I understand the automation "when record enters a view’ will only trigger the first time a record enters a view. But what about the below “When record matches conditions, is any of” ? See picture below of my draft automation: For example If a record is marked as “Send Escrow Email” I want automation to run. If record, is later on then changed and marked as ‘Escrow Opened Already’ I want automation to trigger and run again. Will this happen? I want the automation to re-run because I am using the same webhook trigger into the single integromat scenario

I have a problem with airtable automations exporting the field “last modified time”. I created an autamation triggered by a record update and the action is “append a row in google sheet”. It seems it works fine but there is a problem with the time because on gsheet appears a difference of one hour. For example: it’s 12:00, on my pc it’s 12:00, i change a record on airtable and the the field “last modified time” is 12:00. This change triggers the automation but when the record is copied in airtable it shows 11:00. I really don’t understand why , i tried in gsheet the function NOW() but it shows 12:00 and i tried also the time formatting option “Use the same time zone (GMT) for all collaborators” but it doesn’t work. Someone knows why or how can i can fix this? Thank you very much

I cannot seem to find the right mix of terms to see if this is something already covered. TABLE-A has a number of Tasks in it. There are 92 records. TABLE-B has fields for CustomerName(Linked), Priority, and a TABLE-A(Linked) field. The primary objective is to allow me to maintain a list of tasks in TABLE-A which I can then use to build out a “project” for a customer in TABLE-B. I am trying to figure out how to create an automation that will “For each record in TABLE-A create a record in TABLE-B and associate with a customer of choice”. My secondary objective is to automatically update the project if I add records to TABLE-A, and the count grows from 92 to 100. I would like the +8 tasks to automatically roll over. I have not gone to scripting yet. I thought I could do a “if records appear in view then…” type setup but I am stumped. Any advice would be much appreciated. Hey, I want to sync my base with another endpoint. Thus I created an automation with a trigger on update > than fetch result with post request to other endpoint. The problem is, that I do not get any response. const res = await fetch(url, { method: "POST", body: JSON.stringify(body), headers: headers }) console.log(res.json()) I checked the fetch function with different endpoints, in Postman I do get the response back, but not with the fetch function from airtable. Hi there, In an opportunity table I have made a look up field that collects multiple delivery dates of a product into a single cell. When a condition is changed in the Opportunity Table (to ‘opportunity won’ or ‘sale’) a record is created in the Delivery Schedule Table based on the dates from that cell In the Delivery Schedule Table. The number of records created should correspond to the number of dates from the cell in the Opportunity Table. But no records are created when there are more than one dates. Is there a way around this somehow?

Hi Folx! Here is my scenario: I have an online event business and about ~100 contractors that are assigned events in custom software. All of the events are synced to table 1, and all the contractors are synced to table 2. The contractors are associated with their event(s) via a linked record field. All of this is done automatically and works like a charm. I would like to send a summary each week of the list of events the contractor has worked. I need help writing an automation that will: look up records from view for the previous week create a list of the records associated with each unique email address send the list of records to only that email address Where I am running into trouble is trying to have airtable send only the records associated with Contractor A directly to Contractor A. It seems like I could create a list of all records and send them to all contractors but that is not the desired outcome. Thanks in advance for any help!

I set an automation to deliver a daily report to my team Slack, triggered at a scheduled time. This report would find all active Projects (either using a preset View or a Condition) and then insert those found records into the Slack message as a grid. This is the AirTable guide I used (mirrored from email to Slack). Here are the steps: Set trigger at scheduled time. Use “Find records” action to pull active projects from the Projects table. This was tested using both a preset View and set Conditions. Use the “Send message” Slack action. Select the “insert records as grid” option. Check the applicable boxes for fields to include. Test action. Turn automation on and test using trigger. Each time, the records were not displayed in a grid format but in a string of code. Has anyone else run into this issue or requested support from the AirTable team? Thanks!

I am using the free version, no apps/scripts allowed. I can use automations, but when I add a button field to the base there is no option to link the button to an automation. Is there a way to fix that and connect the button with my automation?

I have a zap that I would like to take an existing date from a field in AT, add a constant amount of time to it, and then insert the result as the value for a different field on the same record. For example, if record A had “Creation Date = 11/15/2021” I would want my formula to add a constant of 30 days, then insert the result (12/15/2021) into the previously empty “Due Date” field for the same record. I know Zapier has support for formulas in it’s “Search for Records” step, but I don’t see any of those capabilities in the 'Update Record" step. Does anybody have any experience with this, or know where I could find documentation?

Ok, here goes: I have a AirTable base that consists of multiple tabs, and I want to create an automation to help with some admin. So, in one tab I have a Sales Funnel where we put different sales opportunities on add-on features in different phases. When an add-on is signed by a customer, it gets moved to the “signed” phase. In another tab we have a project management kanban, so when an add-on is signed I create a project in that tab and I link to the sales funnel object. When the project is completed (Checkbox option) I want to move the sales funnel object to the phase “Activated” (Single Select field). I’ve tried different ways but can’t get it to work, so any tips would be appreciated.

HI, We have just reached the automation limit (100,000) and this is business critical operation. I have contacted Airtable through the sales page, but I need to increase the limit today. I’ve built out a reminder that notifies someone when a task due date is reached. The one thing I’m struggling with is getting the “to” field to populate correctly. I have a tab with all project contacts, including their work email. One the action item tab, an owner is assigned in a lookup field. That then pulls their email in as well, and my intent was to use that column to populate the email TO field. But because it a lookup field, rather than just an email field, the automation is failing. If I replace that with a single email, everything works fine. The formula I’m trying to use for that field is Field Values → Work Email (from owner) → Value. “Work Email (from owner)” is the lookup that is pulling from another tab based on the selected task owner.

What I want to do, and do not know if it is possible, is when I check a box and I would like a field in that record to change to a different option. So like in the photo below, when I check “Done” I want the choice in the Status column of the record to change to “Done” From its current selection. Is that possible? I’ve been wracking my brain trying to create an automation. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hey! So, I need to update an existing record, filling an attachment when a form is submitted. The idea is send a form where the employee need to fill a process number field (it can’t be a list) and attach a pdf or image. When this form is submitted, the automation verify the process number field value, find the same record in a existing table and attach the pdf/image. Hello! Trying to get an automation going where if the text output of a field (i.e Prop1Text) from a formula field (Prop1) that is parsing the input (Property) matches the text in a different view, the “status” field is updated to my desired option. I had an issue with my first test because when the request for multiple properties came in, the “prop” field had all of them in a single string and that failed the previous automation find record if “Property” in master list is “Prop” Text then update. Currently i am getting the “invalid filter on Property field” error when I try to do a find record action I had read that formula fields cause issues during lookup automation (not sure entirely) so I had it copy the text from the formula field “Prop1” into a single line field “Prop1Text” by another automation. That is working perfectly fine, but i am stuck at trying to get the matching record ID to update that status of that specific record

I’m trying to create an automatization that runs a script to copy a field (formula that puts year and month together like this 2021-12) to a liked to field whenever a record is created ou updated. So I created a base, with a bunch of tables. The first Table is sort of a summary table of the other tables. My use case: Let’s say I change the status of the item in my General Manager Table from Define to Communicate: I want to update the corresponding field in the Status column to the same value: These selections are drop down selections. So I setup an automation that when a record is created in General Manager table, that it will update the corresponding object (sorry, I’m none-technical, and don’t know the proper terminology) in the Status table: The automation keeps failing, and I’m not sure whey. Any help would be super appreciated! Thank you.

Hello, I have a table where every record has a time field. I would like to check a checkbox when the time is today at the specified time. Using automations I managed to check the box when the date is today but the time is not considered. Is it possible to check the box at the exact time? For example, I have a record that says 12/11/2021 1:00pm. The checkbox should be checked only after 1pm and not at any time of the day. Thanks

I’m having issues with an automation. There are two collaborators. Their client’s submit forms every week. They would like to get an email when the forms are submitted. They only want to get notified of the forms they are assigned to as a collaborator. This is where I’m running into problems. What I’ve tried: I’ve tried setting up one automation that’s triggered when a form is submitted and inserting data from the previous action to get the email from the collaborator in the “to” field. It doesn’t pull their email. I get an error saying “the to field is empty”. Then I tried creating a different automation for each collaborator that would trigger when a form is submitted. I used the “find record” action and added a condition to filter the collaborator. This time I typed out the email in the to field. However, when I submitted two different forms assigned to two different collaborators, the automation for Collaborator A ran and sent an email for a form that had already been submit
